When Dream Valley posted their first pictures of their naga dolls I wasn’t expecting to like them snakes had never been my thing. My mum is deathly afraid of snakes and living in Australia I myself have a healthy caution of the creatures. But seeing the company pictures I was interested and ordered myself a Cavna in white skin. I also started looking more into snakes and have found them to be wonderful unique creatures. I ordered Cavna on the 12th of August from Alice’s Collections and she arrived to me today the 12th of February, exactly six months. The pictures might be a little grainy they were taken on my old dying phone. She arrived in the typical Dream Valley box, it looks the same as my Calle and Deans’ boxes just a different size. With the lid off there are a few things on top of her. The things that were on top of her. Some magic sponge, eye putty, eyes, her CoA and some wigs I picked up from Alice’s Collections. She is well wrapped and safely encased in a foam cutout. The mummy out of the box. Unwrapped and showing off her tail. The horns she comes with. The one on the inside goes with Cavna and is attached with putty. The two on the outside match with the Alborah head and come with magnets in them but it doesn’t seem like Cavna has magnets in her head to hold them so if I plan to use them they will probably have to be attached with putty as well. She is nice and long with defined scales and a rattle on the end of her tail. The eyes she came with. A close up of her sweet little face. My plans for this little one are something metallic. I’m thinking of going for a coastal carpet python or a hognose look even though she is inspired by a rattle snake since the colours I’m planning are blues and purples she can just be a fantasy breed of snake with patterning from a different snake in spite of the rattle. Dream Valley always have such wonderful dolls and this beauty is no exception in my eyes.
Some photos of her tail posability. Backwards circle. Forwards circle. Sideways circle. Ledges inside tail joints.
Aww, congrats on your little cutie! I was tempted to get one in tan, but couldn't justify it. Good luck painting yours! She looks like she should be fun to play with. ^_^ Have you tried wrapping her around your arm?
Congratulations!! She is so cute!! I absolutely love Naga dolls and was considering getting a Cavna She looks even better than in the promo pics and those little ears are super cute
Congratulations! Naga dolls are so beautiful - I love the detail in the scales on this one! Seems like it would be fun to paint!
Gorgeous, must admit I was really tempted to get one myself but in the didn't... thank you for your photos Is she able to stand, sit or pose vertically unaided?
@Jareth @Insmas Thank you, She really is awesome. @kyukyukyu This is the best I could get her to do after some trying. I’m sure someone more experienced with dolls might manage some more poses.
I love the tail texture and the coil around your arm! (Also Australian here and grew up with s healthy respect of snakes and leaving them be haha)
@castironteapot Thank you. Yep lots of snakes her that you’d be best leaving alone. Another photo of her posing capabilities. She’s standing without any support.
