Contest The Great Triathlon Challenge #2: Timepiece

Well the first half of the decoration is nearly done, hopefully the warm weather will continue so I can do all of the fine details tomorrow ready for my dire attempts at photography on Saturday!

Now that the end seems to be in sight I'm really beginning to get excited about seeing all of the different styles of clock we're going to end up with!

 

I submitted pics! I hope they worked!

 

Just submitted mine. I'm actually really happy with how my clock came out- I'll be holding on to this one.

 

Yay - I made it! (I'll have no computer use now until Tuesday, so it was now or never)

 

Phew - just about finished, one final thing to stick on first thing in the morning once everything else has dried, and then all of Saturday for photos.

 

I got everything pretty much done too. I just have to take photos and submit.

 

Yea!! Just out on the finishing touches. Going to size my materials picture tonight. So only have to take and resize the other pictures

 

Well, I'm out. Didn't have time this week and I work all day tomorrow.

 

I'm digital/ pc challenged. photos taken ( and in photobucket (private album) but CANNOT figure out how to resize (even with tutorials Is there anything I can do when I take the photos (with my iphone) so I dont have to resize them for the contest! Time challenged, have to work most of day tomorrow!

 

Are you working with it from a computer or your phone? If you're on the computer and have adblock on your browser you may need to turn it off for photobucket's editor to work. I don't have an iphone so I can't help there. Photobucket should be pretty straightforward though (hover over picture, click "Edit", wait for it to fully load the editor, click "Resize", and type 600 into the box for the longest side of the picture. Save and done)

 

thank you for reply...I just tried again, to resize ,clicked save but cant find photo.I'm not a quitter but been working at this WAY too long and am very frustrated.

 

When you save, are you saving over the original picture, or creating a new one? In either case, when it redirects you out of the editor, the picture it takes you to should be the edited one. If you're saving the picture over the original file, then it will look like nothing has changed when you're in the album (except things may have moved around a little), but if you go back into the editor on that photo it should show the new dimensions.

I have to get to bed, so I can't offer any more advice tonight. I hope you get it worked out!

 

Managed to get my entry in, this round took a lot longer than last round so I'm hoping I'll be able to get whatever challenge that has been cooked up for round three done in time. Can't wait to see everyone's entries!

I finally submitted my entry. This piece definitely shouldn't have taken me a week to make but it's done and I'm happy with it.

Hmmmmm.... I just spray painted some of my pieces in an effort to be time efficient.... and then the rain rolled in.... soooooo...... we'll see if it dries in time!

Well I submitted my entry, I think anyway. Like the last round, I did not notice any message that it was successfully submitted though.
I guess I will just consider it done and move on.

Photobucket is such a pain! I've had much better luck with either Flickr or Imgur.

help. according to the countdown clock I still have more than half an hour left but I keep getting this error when I try to submit my entry and I don't know what to do. I'm panicking a bit here tbh.

 

That happened to me when I submitted my entry to the first challenge. Post in Ask The Mods. They'll reset the form for you.

 

This happened to me during the first challenge to it's probably because people are getting their entries in last minute good luck !

 

I'm getting the error also. It happened to me on the last challenge too. Shouldn't take long to fix it.

This is why I hate leaving things till the last minute. I'm a walking talking EMP and tech always fails on me just when I need it. You should have seen the troubles I had with making the collage -_-

Yeah, I feel you T^T I am also a walking techno-hazard and I nearly had cardiac arrest when it happened last week!

Wow, great job on the time pieces! Lots of awesome ideas and thoughtful details. I honestly have a hard time deciding which entry to vote for

 

I agree @windspiel the timepieces were amazing and so, so creative! It was super hard to choose favorites, my vote-for-this-one list was a mile long!

I'm also really impressed with how many people made it through round two. Congrats triathlon combatants!

 

Wow, you all have outdone yourselves! I'd like to have some of those amazing clocks in my own house!

 

Well DONE everyone! That was a really, really tough process to narrow it down to 4; they were all really wonderful.
