The first doll i ever wanted was a souldoll double star. I thought she was so cute and pretty but i took out a ruler and measured her height and freaked. So i ended up going with a resinsoul lan which now i know was the right choice for me. Now I know my taste in dolls and to stick to features i love
The first doll that i fell in love with was Zhu 1/4 dragon doll i was determined to get her but a year passed and i wasnt able to get her when i did finally get a doll my interests had shifted to dollzone nina and i got her instead.
The first time i knew BJD, i only knew Luts and Volks. I wasn't a member of DoA yet so i didn't know other companies exist. At that time i didn't really like Volks' mold..too chubby for my taste, so i was ogling Luts' website. There he was..newly-out Senior Delf Dion. I wanted to buy him but still not sure because of the price and his size. When i got my summer vacation bonuses, i bought my Dion. Luckily he wasn't sold out yet, if i waited any longer i might not had him.
The first bjd I wanted was a Dollstown Seola.. but at that time (XD) I didn't think to spend a lot of money on a doll.. so I bought another one.. which I do not own anymore now.. (I've sold her cause I didn't bond with..) then I bought a PD Roseanne, Elyza, and she became my "REAL" first doll.. even if in reality she's the second ! anyway... I thought I didn't want anymore MSD beyond her.. but then I was viewing the DT website and I've seen her again... the Seola7.. and I fell in love with her, again.. so I managed to buy at least her head.. to put on the PD body (cause Elyza's receiving her new double jointed one!) but even if she was the first doll I've seen and fell in love with, I don't think at all she will make Elyza neglected.. cause now she's my fave in absolute... and infact.. she 's gonna leave her body to the Seola.. and she's getting a new double jointed one..XD anyway, I do not have her at home, yet.. but I already know I will love her to pieces for sure.. cause Seola is absolutely one of my fave Mold ever.. but she will be my "second" beautiful doll..I think ^^' Elyza rules here XD
For me, it's the same doll. Luts KDF Ani. She's my most favorite! If I have to have just one BJD, it'll be her!
The first doll I ever wanted was the Migidoll Ryu - after a WHILE of saving he became my first doll too ^.^ I still love the mold a lot, though he may not be my favorite anymore.
Before I really knew anything about the hobby, the first doll I saw/loved/wanted was a Volks SDC Kurenai. It was over a year later that I really got into learning about BJDs and purchased my first doll: an AoD Zi Yuan. She was completely different in size, company, & price from the doll I originally thought I had wanted, but I loved her at first sight and somehow I knew I'd made the right choice in not pursuing the difficult-to-find limited SDC. Looking back now I've come to realize what really drew me to the Kurenai in the first place wasn't the sculpt of the doll herself anyway; it was her fullset outfit! XD
I was originally a Pullip collector and it annoyed me every time another Pullip collector would go "now I'm selling my Pullips because I want to focus on my BJDs". One day I got curious and started searching around for BJDs and I found unoa-dream.com and instantly fell in love with the beautiful Unoas. However, I couldn't figure out how to get one, so I just tried to forget about them. I then fell totally in love with Supia Minisup Yan (which I'm still sad I didn't get) and started saving up for her. Then one day I saw this message on a Danish BJD forum about a valentine offer on Dream Of Doll, where you could get a boy and a girl doll much cheaper than they usually were. So I ended up splitting the offer with another girl and buying a DOC Leya... However I never really wanted a DoD doll, so I of course ended up selling her... Now I finally have an Unoa, but I should've just saved up for a Minisup Yan since I still really want her.
The doll that I fell in love with and which convinced me to join this fandom was Luts' Delf Moon. Fortunately he was reasonably priced (though it didn't seem like that at the time!) and I was able to get him as my first doll. If he'd been a sold-out limited, I would have just waited and lurked and hoped until I found one for sale (unless it had been Bermann or Yukinojo, I'm crazy but I'm not insane). I don't settle for less than what I truly want if I don't have to!
The first one I really ever wanted was Hong from DollZone, and the one I actually ever got was Raphael from BuddyDoll...but I change my mind by my own along the way so there is no remorse on that one... ^^
I like to think my first BJD I got was the first one I wanted. But after almost 4 years in hobby I learned the two are not the same. I guess the first one I got was my Elfdoll Wu always have a special place in my heart. But the first one I really wanted was a Dollstown Hue as something about that face drew me to him and when he arrived I was thrilled beyond words. The Wu is long gone, but the Hue has been with me for almost 2 1/2 years and I love him still today.
The first doll I ever WANTED was an Elfdoll Sooah. I saw a limited edition version of her and about DIED I wanted her so badly. Then I saw her SIZE, and completely gave up on getting her. She was just too big for me. I'd handled SD sized dolls before, and at the time always felt like I was going to drop or break them, preferring the size of MSD and smaller dolls. The first dolls I GOT (ordered 2 at once) were a BBB Espree, and a RS Mei. 2 body upgrades later (first to a RS SJ body, then to the new RS DJ body) and I LOVE my Espree, wouldn't trade her for anything. I loved my Mei from the minute I opened her box and pulled her out of that yellow 'sleeping bag'. Even now that the character she was meant to be is being upgraded to an SD doll (when I can afford to move into that collection, it has SEVERAL expensive dolls in it, so I figure I'll get more of my smaller dolly wish list first) I just can't bear the thought of parting with her, so changed her up a bit to still be herself, only a different version of herself. Now that I'm comfortable with SDs and want a small collection of them, too, a basic Sooah is on my list, as she perfectly fits a character I want in SD size, to the point my husband picked her sculpt for the character (who is his). So while I do NOT for one second regret my first dolls, or any of the rest who have so far come before her, I will eventually have that lovely girl that I just fell head over heals for in the beginning, but was sure would always be too large for me.
I bought my first doll with absolutely no knowledge of BJDs at all. She was (is) an Obitsu Gretel. She was my first and will always be my favorite, even though I have many other dolls that are more beautiful, way more expensive, etc. The first doll that I really, really coveted was an Elfdoll Soah. I fell in love with her pictures but balked at the price. I finally got her as a gift from my husband and I have to say that she did not disappoint. Strangely enough, the Gretel head is sculpted by Rainman, who also sculpted Soah, so I feel like the two dolls are kind of related. I chose my dolls carefully, from a huge variety of companies, and I love every one of them. I have also recently been really charmed by the delicate face sculpts of the resinsoul minis- even though they are not expensive, they are so exquisitely sculpted and have so much personality, that I have been on kind of a RS buying jag. My favorite doll (next to Prima, my Gretel) is always my favorite- right now it is my very very sweet little RS Mei.
Some years back when I had like 0% knowledge of BJDs, I fell in love with every other doll I saw. There was a time when I thought Delf Shine was the doll of my dreams, but that didn't last for too long; some months or so. And then I finally discovered another doll from Luts, Kid delf Hodoo, whom I've longed to buy for about two years now! And last week I finally got to buy him, so now I'm currently waiting for him to arrive and I'm oh so happy that I decided not to buy the first doll I saw...! ~
The first bjd I fell in love with was DS Husky. LOL actually. I'd never hold 70 cm doll in my hand before. I'd been collecting 1/6 scale female fashion dolls, so I couldn't even imagine such a big doll living in my room. It was HUGE. It was expensive. And RARE. It took me quite a time to consign to the idea and start considering him seriously. And saving up. Well. Now I have DS Hound, he is my first and only bj-doll.) And I am still waiting for an opportunity to buy a Husky.
The first one I wanted was a Luts girl, She looked SO much like one of my characters I was determined to get her. Fast forward five years later I had finally talked myself into saving up, and brought - a Soul doll Zenith boy! By the time I worked myself up to buying one I wanted a boy much more than a girl and I wanted a more realistic Adult looking doll. Not only that, my boy isn't based on a character at all.
I came across bjds on some website (not a doll website) where some one randomly posted a picture of a couple DOCs, so the first doll I fell in love with was a DOC. I prefer girls (the dolls in the picture were boys), however, and when I finally decided to buy a doll a got a 60cm obitsu. Of course you can never have just one, I have a DOC staring at me as a type and a head some where behind me. So I did actually end up getting a doll like the one I first fell in love with (different sculpt but I think the DOCs are all quite similar).
The first BJD I wanted to get was a Dollshe Hound (and that was years ago when it was first released). I couldn't afford one though cause I was only a kid then xD and was pretty bummed when Dollshe discontinued the sculpt. The first BJD I got was a Buddy Doll Raphael (and this was about two years ago). I didn't plan on getting him actually but I liked his sculpt so I bought him. To this day, even though I've got 4 SD boys and 2 MSD boys now, he's still my number one. ^^ As for the Hound, I still haven't been lucky enough to be able to purchase him. Hopefully someday!
The first doll I ever wanted was a tie between DOD Homme Kirill and SOOM Euclase... Both I'd probably never be able to afford on my own, and in all honesty, I don't really want either of them now :\ First doll I got was a KIZDOLL fullset white elf Saiy. And I lovies him.
I actually BOUGHT the first doll I wanted. The original Volks MSD Myu. Assembled, sanded, and without a face-up. We never really bonded, but I still adore that sweet sculpt.
The first doll I ever wanted was an Elfdoll Lydia, I had even started saving but then the Pukipukis were announced! I fell in love instantly and I bought two of them as soon as I had enough money. I later sold one, but the other is and will always be my favorite. I never did get a Lydia and I don't plan to either, but I did end up with one of her company mates, an Elfdoll Tasha and I love her to pieces.
My very first resin bjd was a Wishel. I'm still stuck on the smaller bjds. I have had a few mature msds but I think I like the child-like molds better. I joined the hobby after the first doll I ever wanted was sold out. A year ago I got the chance to bring one of my "grail" dolls home and I still have him today. :3
The first doll I wanted: Dream of Doll Sha. The first doll I bought: Luts/CP Delf El I fell in love with the Dream of Doll Teenager line first; I saw a picture of Lahoo and then saw the rest, and... well, it was just inevitable that I would want one. They were so very pretty. I eventually decided on a Dream of Doll Sha. Really, it was more like I settled on Sha, than because I had to have him - I liked all of the molds out at the time, but none in particular said "Buy me NOW!" Then a friend showed me Luts, and more specifically, the Delf Breakaway and El molds. I fell, and I fell hard. I could barely stop myself from hitting that Buy button for an El (since Breakway was long since sold out, and I didn't know an aftermarket existed). I think I managed to resist... 2 weeks? Maybe less, maybe more... not very long, in an case. Still, during that time, I searched doll website extensively for another doll that I liked more, but I kept going back to El, time and time again. Now, years later, my El is still my favorite.
Let's see...I first wanted a small Obitsu, but I don't really count that... The first doll I wanted was a Dream of Doll Tan Homme Ducan. I haven't bought a doll yet. :c
The first BJD I wanted was Iplehouse Akando. I saw him and thought he was the most gorgeous doll I've ever seen and I knew that he was definitely one of the dolls I would be getting. And then I saw Iplehouse Luna...and she put such a hold on me that I placed her on the shopping cart along with a pair of boots, a wig, and an outfit just to check how much she was going to cost, and next thing I knew, I clicked the checkout button I did buy Akando about a month after, so it worked out pretty well in the end
I didn't have any particular doll I fell in love with at first, but internet photos combined with the doll my friend received as birthday present a few years back really got me hooked. My first (and only... I'm new at this!) doll was a Bobobie Espree, which given the price range is great for beginners. Currently have my eyes set on the LUTS Junior Delf Boys, though- they're what really got me thinking about expanding my collection!
I know the first ones I really saw were the DOC boys and I really loved Sha and Lahoo when they were the only company I'd seen at the time. I still love them, and they're on my wishlist, but the first love, and 'at first sight' doll was Luts Abadon (more like lust Abadon, lol ^^). He looked so much like Sephiroth to me and was absolutely gorgeous. Since I thought there was no way, I decided to settle for a Doll-Love Brian (who I still think is a nice doll). Then I remembered the MP and I put out a WTB, thinking I really shouldn't be spending $200 more than the other doll. But Kros is here and I can honestly say, he's still my favorite! I could never regret my decision to buy him. Right now the obsession is a Williams since photos of him seem to pop up everywhere for me, but we'll see when my resolve wears down.
Volks MSD Ken was the first BJD I wanted, and the first I bought. I told myself if, and when I got into this hobby I'd get him first.
One of the first BJD I saw was DOC Petsha. When I looked at her I recently understood that she would be mine. I even didn't look at the hight, price and other things,I even didn't know what does SD or MSD meant, just told myself "She or nobody". Half a year passed, I have seen millions of different photos, but her blue eyes were in my heart.... And guess what? I'm waiting for her now! They said she will be send to me soon
The first doll I ever wanted was Hid from Dollzone. Really, doll zone was the first place I ever saw dolls, thanks to my friend showing me. I really knew nothing and just thought his scar, red hair and clothes were awesome XD That was when I was 12-13. Now I have a Jake from dollzone, and I love him to bits and bits. I dont even like the Hid sculpt anymore, and Im extremly happy with my first doll.
DOT Homme Ducan. T_T After I realized his size...how big that really is...I decided that was probably not what I wanted in my first doll. Plus the price...what if I was disappointed ? Sooo. I went with Luts Kid Delf Bory. :O But, I still fully intend to have a Ducan !
The first doll that I ever fell in love with was a Shiwoo. I saw him, and I loved him, and I wanted him. But at the time, I was with my ex. And he didn't even know that I was looking at these dolls. I knew that he would never, never, never let me buy him. It was OUT OF THE QUESTION. But then I saw Dollzone Demi, and I thought. I could do something really beautiful with her. And I loved her, too. And so I asked if I could get her. And he said no. But I worked really hard for two months for my grandmother to get the money together without him knowing, and I finally bought her.. without asking. Because I got her, I ended up meeting my best friend, who helped me break up with him. And now, my doll is the most important thing in my life and I'm so happy that I got her because she's been.. an invaluable friend to me. I might go back and get a Shiwoo eventually, but there are other dolls that have captured my eye but >w> Make my heart beat extra fast whenever I see their pictures So they're higher on the list!!
The first doll I ever wanted was a Volks MSD Mario, I'm fairly sure it was a kit too? It was a long, long time ago (pre 2004). I remember asking my mom while she was ironing and showing her a print off, and her laughing at me when I told her the price lol. I attempted to save a bit, but at the time I didn't have a job, nor parental support, so I couldn't. I gave up on that, but I still looked around. In 2004, after a lot of casually bringing the topic up and looking into them, I finally convinced my parents to help me get one as long as I had good grades. So while searching for the one I wanted, I came across CP El, and it was all downhill from there haha :'>. He is my first, and I have no regrets, he's my favorite. I never did (nor will) get that MSD Mario. Somewhere along the line I realized I don't really prefer Volks molds all that much compared to other companies, so I'm not really heartbroken about it. Wow, this is nostalgic..
I was cruisin' through youtube one day and saw Shinku... she was the most beautiful doll I had ever seen. I knew about the Rozen Maiden series but had no idea that they had them in BJD. Then, I saw Iple's Tokyo Story Asa and that was it. Then, saved up only to find out she was sold out. I ended up getting Dollmore's Noir Hosoo as my very first BJD - just fell in love with her sculpt and she just had a special appeal. I am finally going to expect (2nd hand) Tokyo Story Asa in the post. I cannot wait until she gets here. She stole my heart from the first; as she is a Geisha inspired sculpt. Now, I have Volks fever and hope to have some of those special ones which have caught my eye Shinku will be mine once I win lotto, lol!!
The first doll I had ever wanted was a Luts El. At the time I was very new to the concepts of bjd, didnt know other companies like Volks even existed, so every sculpt I was enchanted with was by Luts. But El, I was completely set that were I to ever get a bjd it would be him, no questions asked. Now, years later, my first doll is a Pluto Dolls Vergil. I find myself thinking "how did I ever like this..." when I see Els (and most all Delfs, for that matter) now. It's the nose. It's all about the nose with me. XD
The first ABJD I saw was an SD Megu, styled Gothic Lolita, and I was enchanted! But the first that made my heart say <want> was U-noa Lusis. I too, never thought I would actually get her but when my fiancé learned of my doll hobby with small Dollfie+ and similar size, he wanted to get me 'the doll I wanted most' and did, a bit after I arrived here, as a welcome gift. She was and still is every bit of 'all that' to me! She's a chameleon and absolutely perfect!
The first doll I actually fell for was Ringdoll's Armand, and that was quickly replaced by Don from Ringdoll. I still would love to get one, but I since found the Namu head from Ninodoll and gotten one. And now I have a Soom body on the way for him! ^^
They were one in the same. I was drawn to that mold because he looked a great deal like my boyfriend at the time. He was a DS Hound, but I ended up selling him because he was too tall for my taste.
The first BJD I ever seriously wanted to buy was Dream of Doll E-an and for a while I really thought she would be the first (and possibly only) doll I would actually buy. I was planning to wait until they had another event, since they seem to have rather appealing events on a regular basis. Then I saw the preview image for FairyGarden's Cheshire Cat and I was in love. :3 If all other things were equal, I'm not sure who would have been the priority, but since the Cat was limited and E-an is not, it was a matter of which made sense to buy first. I do still hope to buy E-an some day, but I will try to be patient. :3
The first time I saw a bjd, I went crazy surfing all the sites looking at all the pretty dolls, with no idea what was my style, almost everything appealed to me. Then I saw souldoll Hye and I fell in love. I made her my desktop wallpaper, I sewed clothes to her measurements, I quit smoking to save up money. But I never got Hye, even though I still want her really bad. Dollmore Aileen came out, and I knew she was "the one" (heard that before?) I don't regret my choice at all, if I could only have one bjd my whole life it would be my Aileen, but if I ever get my first love Hye, I would be very very happy.
The first doll i feel in love with would probably have to be a Volks Shiro After School version although the doll i always went back to and i really wanted was the the one i am getting now which is a CP Luts Delf El.
The first doll I ever wanted, and planned to get, was a LUTS Kid Delf Bory boy. When I was saving up for my first doll, I had pictures of him up on my walls! I was in loooove~! However, when I finally did get a chance to order my first, I ended up buying a Tender Too and T.Bee-a set from Dream of Doll. I don't regret that at all, I'm happy they were my first dolls! But in the end, I couldn't run away from the Bory I had wanted so bad! XD Not even a year later, my KD Bory, Ben, joined us at home. Bory might still be my first love, after all!
Please forgive me if I've responded to this thread previously, I did search couldn't find a reply, so here goes.... The first ABJD I ever wanted, and I believe the first one I ever saw was Volks SD13 Madoka Japanese version. It's my understanding that this Madoka was made in a very small edition, and she was soldout as well as nearly impossible to get on the secondary market. So I became a "Madoka stalker" and would periodically write to Volks pleading for a re-release. In the meantime, the first Super Dollfie Cute was released, and I fell in love with Kaede after seeing a full page ad for her in Haute Doll magazine. The ad stated something like 20SDC Kaede's would be available for International buyers on my wedding anniversary of all dates! It was a sign! So I registered on Volks International site and got a password, thinking I was all set. However when the sale started, my password failed, and Volks wasn't able to re-set in before Kaede soldout. So I joined DoA and posted a WTB that another lovely member responded to (thanks Treelore!), and I had my first girl! Then a couple of years later, Volks decides to hold the first US Dolpa, celebrating the opening of their Torrance CA store. Volks makes three special dolls available for this event, and one of them called Shizu, used the Madoka mold! And Shizu's face-up was a happy combination of both Japanese and Western Madoka YAY! But not so fast, because I was already committed to attending and teaching classed at the annual Gene Marshall Doll convention, and could not go to both that and the Volks event. Another WTB post to the rescue, answered by another nice member (thanks Skywhys) and finally had my dream girl! Who I now refer to as my "Passion". Believe me when I tell you that dreams do come true! Hugs, Juli DC
The first doll I ever saw (and immediately wanted) was the Dream of Doll Homme Ducan sculpt. My first doll ended up being a Dream of Doll Lahoo. I bought him because I found him second hand and, overtime, Lahoos had really grown on me, though I don't know why. i htought it was a great chance to get into the hobby. My second was a DiM Lloyd, because I found him for an amazing price, too, and the look intrigued me. I'm still planning on getting myself a Ducan, though. He was my first BJD love.
A few years ago (I can't put my finger on it, but I'll say it was '06-'07) I was really into Pullips. (I know this is a BJD forum, but I'm getting somewhere!) Somewhere along the line of doing Pullip research, I found Luts. Immediately I was like, "Woah!" at how beautiful the dolls all were. I instantly connected with Kid Delf Ani(Boy) and asked my parents for him. I like many others, thought that the price was way up there, but my parents agreed to buy him for me. The reason I never got him is actually because the payment wouldn't go through! We tried three times, and with no luck. After that, I decided that it just meant that it wasn't my time to get a doll like that. Now looking back, I'm glad I didn't get him, because I moved so much and I just am not really into the sculpt as much as I was. I actually just ordered my first doll, and she's a PeakWoods Lady Bee! She is so sweet, and they are doing her face custom for me. I cannot wait to see her.
I kind of had the same experience with Volks. After reading Japan Ai a few years ago and wondering what the big deal was (I thought dolls were kind of creepy) and went to the Volks site and thought they were beautiful! Then I saw the price......... Last year, I absolutely fell in love with Jun Tachibana in the photos of her wearing the White Bustle Dress set from Home Town Dolpa Kyoto 7 here: www.volksusa.com/ofdc20100502.html Although the really striking image I saw was in Volks News. I was just about to get a laptop out of my parents and decided I had to have Jun instead. Since I was in California in Jun I headed to the shop to buy her! And of course found out I couldn't have her... Not only was she limited the version I saw wasn't her default make-up so she was never available for purchase in the first place... There was also a nice picture of a girl in the same Volks News but she ended up being school head B, another strike. I had really fallen in love with the FCS idea from reading about it in Japan Ai, so I ended up getting an FCS SD01 wanting to get lips exactly like the Jun. At the staffs suggestion I asked for green eyeshadow since I liked green eyes. When she finally arrived she had orange eye shadow almost no face shading and pale lips..... So I sent her head back, and four months later she came back MUCH better. She pretty much looked like the girl I wanted. Unfortunately I had somehow miscommunicated that I wanted Jun's lips except with white instead of dark lip lines and they couldn't change the order.... so I didn't get Jun's lips =_= Also, I learned that green eyeshadow looks yellow in flash... There's a reason people usually use the same colors of eyeshadow.... But I've come to love my SD01 (you better love for $1000, as my mom says) and she especially looks good with different eyes and wigs than I originally used. I think from now on though, I'll only try to get limiteds that I absolutely love with a passion. Oh, I almost forgot! Even though I bought Aria (my SD10) first, I recieved Alice (Volks YoSD Alice) first. She was kind of an impulse buy when I saw they were doing one last drawing for her. I had seen pictures of her in the shop and thought she was beautiful but my first priority was an SD and because they told me I couldn't buy her XD I really didn't get it at first. Why did they have all these things for sale that weren't actually available!? XD
The first doll i ever wanted was a Dollshe Hound. I remember seeing pictures of him on the website and almost crying because he was soo pretty~ However, the price is the only thing that kept me from him, as i was only like 14(?) maybe at the time. The first doll i got was actually just a head. He was a minimee Kyo based off of the lead singer of the band Dir en grey. Hes still just a head and i've had him going on two years now (i feel so bad for that!!) But i do love him~ and i'm glad i was forced to wait (haha) because i knew nothing of BJD at the time, and getting something that big and that anatomically correct might have scared me/my parents to death. xDDD I still have plans for getting a Hound, maybe not soon, but i will get one someday~
The first BJD I ever wanted was a Dream of Doll DOC Krill. I don't really want him anymore - I've got my eye on Pitts, more - but even if I did, it would be some time before I could afford to buy him. The first doll I got was an Angel of Dream Wang Zi. Also not really my style (I prefer big open eyes and his really aren't), but I bought him because at the time it was the cheapest I could find (I didn't know about Resinsoul). Now I am buying the cheeper end of my doll wanted list, but its still a doll I actually want. (Not smart to settle!)
what was the first bjd you ever wanted? The one that I ever wanted is VOLKS' School A head with SD13 body. Was it the doll that ended up being your first? Actually School headA with SD10 body . Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? I like it so much that I do not want other dolls. So when I have a chance to get one, I got one. XP
I suppose the first I ever wanted was a Volks Heath, but he was long sold out by the time I laid my eyes on him, but after seeing other dolls that caught my fancy much more I decided he wasn't really what I was looking for anymore. Shortly after that however, I did covert Bermann for the longest time, but unfortunately he too was sold out, Tensiya did do those limited releases on him, but I was never able to get my hands on one, so I eventually settled on a Hound. He wasn't the same however and he eventually found a new owner. I don't pine after Bermann anymore, because I found a much better doll that suits my character.
The first one I ever wanted was probably the DZ Floy... afterward I was really thinking of ordering him, but ended up with Ringdoll Ran instead x)
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? It was a toss-up between Volks Konoe Tsukasa and Volks Tachibana Jun. It was also moot, as they were limited and I was too late. *tears in soup* Was it the doll that ended up being your first? No, neither was my first. That decision was also a toss-up: Volks Megu, CP Chiwoo or Bluefairy Kyle. Volks Megu was the first. Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? I eventually brought all of them home! And they are all still with me.
I originally wanted a DOD E-an because her sculpt is so pretty and sexy -- didn't get her but it's okay. ^^; I told myself that there would be another doll who'll surpass her beauty, and yes, she did. My doll Eriadne is a hybrid of VOLKS Mika (head) and a DZ body AND I saw her on the spot -- she was in a box when the one who sold her to me was presenting her. ( O___O ) Off all the dolls she presented to me, I've chosen Eriadne. I believe it was fate. The doll seller told me that she knows that I'll love Eriadne, and yes, I love her. Each and every day. ^^
The first BJD I wanted was a Lati Yellow, but the first one I got was a Pukifee. I ended up buying the Lati, eventually, but I didn't love it as much as the Pukifee... So, I sold the Lati and got another Pukifee!
Hee, regardingbecca, I am the opposite! The first BJD I ever wanted was SweetBunny Ante but the first one I ever ordered was Lati Yellow. My next is definitely going to be Ante and I can't wait to compare the two.
My first "love" when I realized I really can have a doll was Unidoll's Jace - he was the only one who I wanted to have at home. But when I really came to buy a doll a conception was changed - I knew I wanted concrete character and was seeking a base for him. So my first bjd become Resinsoul's Mai. But now I'll have Jace too soon - first love, as you know, can't be forgotten=)
I never had enough to buy a E.I.D Iplehouse Tedros because of the shocking price and bought a Crobidoll doll instead and I found it hard to dress her and stuff because I felt I rushed buying a doll as I was new to them. Trying to sell her at the moment in order to have a new nice home because I still want that Tedros doll. You can never deny the doll you dream of for another you want for the moment.
Actually, no ;w; The first BJD I ever saw and wanted was way back when I first fell in love with Rozen Maiden, and it was the Volks Suigintou (who is my current grail doll). The first one I ever seriously considered when getting really into the hobby was the Dollmore Catish Vnu--but I ended up with my Dollzone Feilian after enough deliberation!
The beginning of BJDs to me is a little fuzzy, but I remember finding Homme Ducan and falling in love *0* I'm not sure I would buy him now, but he is still so special to me My first doll was a LW Mabel. I was looking for a shell for my character. I came across her and went, "yes yes she's the one!". Two months later I had her in my hands XD
