The first one I thought I would really like, but found to be way out of my league, was the Volks Isao version 1. He was just so cool, and handsome! But there was no way I was going to be able to spend so much on a doll. I ended up, as Baakay said, discovering Iple House, and it was all over. But I did always pine for an Isao. I finally did get one, but just the head. That was all I could afford. So then I had the head for a while, and eventually got him just a regular Volks boy body later on. I'm not happy with the mechanics of the old body, so he doesn't get much air time, but every time I think of selling him, I just can't say "no" to that face! Lubs the face! He may eventually get a different body, but I'll keep that head.
A long time ago I saw a doll head in a sale post that was selling a wig the head was wearing. I asked the girl what was the mold and always kept the message in my inbox. After months and maybe 1 year I don't remember but it was a big time after it was the same head from the same person for sale. I bought it without hesitation ^^ My first doll is not the one I wanted badly but she ended being my favourite of all ^^ And today I also own the mold that make me WOAW the first time I saw her.
I don't own a BJD just yet (I'm working on it xD), but a few years ago I came across the Volks website and fell in love with most of their dolls, although now that I've recently renewed interest in BJDs and learned a lot about them, I've found many other companies I am far more fond of. I don't think I'll ever buy from Volks (no offense!).
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? Kid Delf An. Was it the doll that ended up being your first? No, I ended up getting a BlueFairy Louis C: Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? (and if not then what made you decide that?) When I first decided that I wanted a bjd, I didn't know many companies and I was into LUTS dolls at the time. But I got motivated from saving so I stopped thinking about bjds for a while. After like a few months I decided again that I wanted a bjd I decided that I didn't want a kid delf An anymore, so I looked at BF dolls as they were on the LUTS site. BlueFairy Louis caught my eye, and after looking at owner photos I knew that this was the doll I wanted. I'm really glad I bought it as my first doll, it's my favourite mould
Being quite new to BJDs, the first I ever wanted is from a new(ish) comapny: my first love was a sculpt from Dragondoll - I had seen and liked Unoas, Volks and such, but the very asian look of Dragondoll caught my eye... but not my bank balance. My first purchased doll was an Obitsu 60 with Haruka head. Never regretted it and have since bought several sizes of 'true' bjd from Angel of Dream and Resin Soul and Orient Doll and am now quite content. It's my dream to one day have a Dragondoll - preferably DaQiao or another female, but the uncle body looks *so good* teamed with Huang... *__* If I ever did make it come true... what would I have left to long for then?
The first doll I remember fawning over was the doll I first got actually. Fell in love with Bei as soon as I saw her, I just loved the proportions! My tastes have changes since then though, I still love my girl, but all the other dolls I was looking at back then don't really interest me anymore. Back then I would never of even looked at a puki, now I really want one >_<
i found out about bjds when i was on mod the sims looking at skins it said "Ball Jointed Skin" and i click and then i found the world of bjds that was about February of 2010 and the first doll i had ever fallen in love with was probably some sort of doll called Rachael i cant remember the company i think it was fairyland i still havnt bought my first doll but im close to ordering one about 3 weeks YAY!!!! 33
The first doll I wanted was a Dollshe Hound (the old version). I didn't get him, though, cos at that time, I could get only one (and I wanted to get only one ever) and that turned out to be a Unidoll Ark. Luken's his name and I love him to pieces. Will I ever get a Hound? Nope, don't think so. 1. I don't really care for the new version (I can't stand the body, it looks like an alien insect). 2. I've gone off Hound in general - don't like him as much as I used to. 3. I don't have space, currently, for any new dolls so I'm not getting any.
Hmm.... I believe the first BJD I wanted was SD- 13 Link. At the time I knew very little of other companies, so I did not stray much from Volk's website. I think I chose Link because he looked either much like a lankier version of my mate or the perfect result if my mate and I were to have a child at the time. The first doll I bought, however was a Dollfie Dream (II) with the DD-02 head. Though not a true bjd, I loved that they are much cheaper and loved their anime aesthetic. (And the fact that I would read Danny Choo's blog and seeing all of his girls made me want one more. In fact I want a couple more DD's because of him.) The first BJD I got was still pretty far away from the SD-13 I loved. I bought an Iplehouse Swordancer I . When I saw her I HAD to have her, really just to have that damn fox mask honestly. I had some issues bonding with her, but I've grown to adore her nearly as much as my DD.
The first BJD I wanted was a Migidoll Ryu. I was willing to wait until the order period and do my research on what body would match etc, etc. Though the first BJD I actually got was a Crobidoll Nao. I'm not really sure what happened there, I fell in love with Nao and put him on my wishlist then just bought him. I may have gotten too excited and impatient to wait for Migi's order period, I'm not sure XD. But I am still planning on buying a Ryu, he will be the next doll I buy (as long as I don't cave in before the next order period)
The first doll I saw and wanted was a Volks Sho. The first one I got was a girl! I still have yet to get a Sho and I do want a Chiwoo very much!
the first doll I fell in love with was elfdoll Sooah. My sister fell for elfdoll Soah. but the first doll I got was a Bobobie Sprite. I got her from a doll shop that mostly sales secondhand doll and they didn't know who she was. being really new to BJDs neither did I, but she was only $100 so i got her. she's still my favorite. My sister found out who she was on the net that night. well did I ever get a sooah? No. My sister did, and then I got a Soah. Kind of weird we got the doll the other liked.
the first BJD I ever wanted was the limited elf version of Ducan at dream of doll.....but he was already sold out when I began my search so when the standard edition came out I decided to go for him XD and I have no regrets hes a beautiful boy and Im going to customize him soon
First one I wanted was Volks SD13 Williams The first one I got was DOD DOT H Ducan Now I have more one than Williams LOL
I think the first doll I ever wanted was a Delf Soony. Because I thought she was the prettiest of all the dolls I'd seen. Which were like out of 4 companies. Lol. And my first doll I ever got was a DollnDoll Loren. And they look nothing alike. XD But you come to like a whole bunch of different dolls then you do when you start looking everywhere. I did want a Soony again, and now I don't anymore. Lol. And I used to LOOVVEE DOD, but not so much anymore either. It's just preference over time. Haha. I bought my first doll yrs after I found out about BJDs. > A>
First doll I ever stumbled upon was a DoD Homme Ducan, exciting, I know. I spent a good year or so wanting one of my own, but when my parents offered to get me a doll of my choice, I had lost interest in said doll and decided on a DZ Floy instead. I can't really remember why I switched, but I'm glad I did.
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? ....Angelheim Luka the Pan and a DZ BB were the top two I wanted. I was saving towards my DZ then, to get it first... Was it the doll that ended up being your first? Well, actually, I got the Luka first XDD Practically firsthand from a friend I had made on a UK forum (: He's easily my favourite doll and made me adore MSD sized dolls (hence why I traded my SD Kanguk for a MSD Soulkid doll (:
When I first discovered BJDs I wasn't aware of many websites, so ended up just browsing around the main ones - SOOM, LUTS, VOLKs...and DoD. I was smitten with Camine, completely. However, I wasn't in the frame of mind to get over the price just yet. So I sorta kept browsing and wishing, falling in love-though-not-quite-as-hard. Then I re-found LUTS (and their cheaper prices; I know, bad way to go) and ended up flipping a coin over Yder and Shine - Shine won, and I love my boy so much more than I would if he was a Yder, I think. And as I only own the one doll, I don't have my Camine. Yet. It's on the to-do list, because really, the first thing you love normally haunts you until you get it! I just can’t let Camine go XD
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? Dream of Doll Sha. I remember having pictures of him as my background for months. XD Was it the doll that ended up being your first? No, I got a Soulkid Sweeney. Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? (and if not then what made you decide that?) I still don't have a Sha. After owning a few BJDs, I've learned that the doll you idolize and looks so pretty on the site might not be so gorgeous in person. I also learned to look at the nude heads to decide whether or not I wanted said doll. And while Sha is pretty, he doesn't fit the aesthetic that I've found I like.
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? A Volks Megu Was it the doll that ended up being your first? Nope, my first was my Dollzone Orlando. Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? (and if not then what made you decide that?) She's the next one I'm saving for. I originaly saw her about 3 years ago now, she was the doll that made me want to get into the hobby; I just didn't want her for my first and wanted a little more experience with them before getting a Volks doll.
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? A Dream of Doll DOC Homme Ivan, I could have sworn I loved him so much I used his photos as my MSN display pics and as my desktop wallpaper too! Was it the doll that ended up being your first? No, in the end I went for a LUTS Kid delf Ani...which was like a totally big difference from Ivan looks wise ^^; Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? (and if not then what made you decide that?) The first ever company I ever knew about was seriously just DOD, I was new back then into the hobby and I thought they were the only companies out there DX After some research I found more websites and I came to love LUTS alot, I was fickle back then not really knowing what I wanted, going back and forth from kid delf molds...I'm not quite sure how I came to a final decision on my boy but it just happened and I'm glad it did, he's still my most spoiled kid of the lot!
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? Unoa Lusis. Was it the doll that ended up being your first? No, my first doll ended up as my lovely Bobobie Sprite. Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? I do currently have a modded sleeping Lusis faceplate, which I plan to mod further. I cannot wait to have her all put together; I adore Lusis mods. ^^
I've know dolls for about...5 years? But only got on the hobby last year. The first doll to catch my eye was DZ Floy. But at first I was really unsure if i'd like the hobby or not, so my first doll was a cheaper one. Then I looooved this hobby and got a Floy head. I really love him. ^^ I love the pictures of your Floy! Good to know he was your first ^^
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? Dollmore Lilis Liv (she was just so ethereal looking) Was it the doll that ended up being your first? Nope, got an Angel Region Tan Ren off of ebay (this started my love of tan dolls however) Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? Yes! It took more than a couple of years and she was probably the 10th doll that actually made it to my house but she is my most favorite female doll here. I'm tempted to get another one.
The first one I wanted was a Volks Tohya. I saw him on ebay a loooooong time before I joined DoA. He cost around $600 which seemed to be too much fore me. I'm glad I didn't buy him now as looking back the whole auction looked very suspicious. The photos were stock photos from Volk's website and the price was far too low (I didn't know at the time how much one should have been). In the end my first doll was a DZ Megi I didn't buy him because he was the cheapest (at the time DZ was the cheapest). I had been saving for an El but I realised that 1. I already had enough for the Megi and 2. I planned on getting him sooner or later. So thats how I ended up with my Megi. I never did get an El in the end I got a MNF El instead. I thought he'd make a better companion for my Megi
I had been watching dolls for some time but never felt I would have to buy any of them even they were cute. Then Fairyland released Littlefee Ante and I fell in love right away. I considered some months as it was first doll for me, and I needed to think if I´d truly need to buy a doll this expensive. I really thought about it hard and finally decided to buy her, have never regret a moment. She is still my favourite doll and I think will always be. Other dolls have came and gone by my feelings, but my sweet Menni is home and will never leave. She is total perfection in doll form.
I ended up getting the first doll I ever really wanted as my first doll, so... I guess I was lucky! :3 Although there have been tonnes of other dolls who, at the time, I really loved and now I'm just like, "No..." towards. XP
The first doll I ever saw was a Migidoll Ryu. It was also the first doll I wanted and I still want one! However, I didn't get it for my first doll because you could only buy heads from Migidoll at the time and I was scared of having to find a matching body. I thought I wasn't knowledgeable enough to get it right. Instead I bought a B&G Yulion. I soon realised that I didn't actually like my B&G Yulion as much as I should have, so I decided to save up and buy a Migidoll head to put on the B&G body. Now if I'd been going with my original plan I would've chosen a Ryu at this point, but I didn't. As much as I LOVE Ryu, it just didn't fit the character that I wanted it for. So I bought a Migidoll Miho instead. I love my Miho to pieces so I don't regret that decision at all, but I'm still determined to get a Ryu one day
I did not really fell in love with any dolls when I first joined, I really liked some but I was really more into this to make them the representation of characters I already had =O! The first bjd I decided I really wanted was for one of my favourite characters, Seren, and it was a AS Lucifer. I really wanted him and it became one of my "dream doll" in a way =D I did not get it though, it was expensive and I ended up getting a "cheap" head I found on the MP instead xP I still have it and it has a body and I'm happy to have gotten it since it really got me to think what I really wanted in this hobby ^^ In the end I went for a completely different mold for the character I first wanted :P I finally got it in July, it was a Crobidoll Lance hybrid =D
The first doll I ever wanted was Rosette Doll Violet, Spring Term. She was the first doll I ever bought. ♥ I saw her, immediately want-want-wanted that doll, and within a few weeks I had purchased her. She not only lived up to, but exceeded my expectations. I no longer own her, but I still think she's the prettiest doll ever. I'm very happy that I was able to get the doll I really-really-really wanted as my first doll~
First one I ever wanted was a brunette iplehouse Jessica. I stared at her pictures on the website and also on google images for months. Is it just a passing fad? Do I really want her? Will she just go back in the box and into the cupboard the day after she arrives? I was lucky enough to be able to buy her. And she has NEVER been back in the box! Recently got some clothes and a sultry shortish saddle brown wig for her. She is just amazing. I am very lucky to own such a piece of art.
The first doll I ever wanted was a Crobi Ys. I started saving, but since I couldn't legally get a job for the 1/2 a year when we're out of the country . . . well . . it didn't work out so good. A year and a bit later, I found my Felix Brownie, and fell in love. So she was my first doll I ever got. Now I'm saving for another Crobi, but I don't think I'd buy the Ys . . . I don't like him as much anymore. Especially now that I've learned WAY more about BJD's.
The first doll i've ever wanted was a DOD Sha, but it wasn't the first doll I bought. My first doll was an AA Yi, because I wanted a 'cheaper' doll to see if I really liked dolls, but now, 2½ years later I still haven't got one. Because I saw one in real life and it wasn't exactly what I wanted..
The first doll that I fell in love with was the 60cm Narae but the first doll that I bought was an Elfdoll Lydia. I was really a noobie when it came to buying BJDs & couldn't figure out how to order Narae. Lydia was in stock at Dolls & Friends & the sweet salesperson talked me thru my first purchase by answering a million questions I had. It wasn't too long after that when I found a Narae on Ebay & successfully bid on her. So my dream doll was actually the third doll I bought. She remains one of my favorites & I can't really see ever parting with her. (Though Lydia did end up leaving home.)
What was the first BJD you ever wanted? The first BJD I ever wanted was the first one I saw. It was the Limited release of Megu - Taisho Roman in December of 2000. I could not figure out how to buy a Super Dollfie via an international shopping service and I had just spent most of my money moving to San Francisco. Buying a doll right then was out of the question. Was it the doll that ended up being your first? No, I didn't buy my first doll until five years later when there was quite a bit more selection. My first doll was a Dollshe Bermann. Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? I have never purchased an SD Megu. My doll group dynamics really never had a place for her to fit in. I do have other Volks dolls and I am finally getting my first Volks SD girl later this year, a Charlotte.
Before I even contemplated the possibility of getting one for real, I looked around a lot, searching for the perfect BJD for me. Despite the fact that I had found many sculpts I liked, I didn't like the fullsets (many of them I still don't like), and I didn't know at first that you could buy them blank... Of course, after reading a bit of the description, I corrected myself In my defense, back then I didn't sign up for any forum... I dislike them, to tell the truth ^^;;;; The first doll I found that I really wanted to buy was a DZ Ivan. I fell in love at first sight. But I met a friend at an anime convention, and she had a little Obitsu one that I found unbelievably cute, so I wanted one of those for me. 1/6 volks's bodies are still my favorite (even though I keep mistaking the specific name for the body, and only get it correctly one out of ten times...). So, the first doll I wanted to buy was Ivan, but the first one I bought was a volks dollfie.
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? Luts/CP Breakaway. Luts was one of the first doll companies I discovered and as soon as I saw Breakaway I was in love! Alas, he was long sold out so I couldn't get him ;_; Was it the doll that ended up being your first? I had no hope in hell of getting a Breakaway so I ended up getting an Iplehouse Soori, who has an equally lovely boyish face Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? Nope. I had the oppurtunity when LUTS rereleased him in '08 but the sculpt wasn't quite the same and I just...wasn't overly interested in him anymore.
First doll I wanted: Puki Pukisha. First doll I got: Puki Pong (decided she'd be better for a character I had in mind) At that time I had only looked at Lati and Fairyland dolls. And even then, only because I had heard about them in another doll podcast. I didn't even know that other doll companies existed. I also went a lot by price, and just wanted something small and adorable. Soooo yeah I have turned out to be VERY happy with Mooble (puki pong) so that's good.
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? I always wanted a Dream of Doll DOT Shall, she's my dream doll but too expensive! Was it the doll that ended up being your first? I got a Luts Kid Delf Hodoo but I love her!! Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? Not yet :/ Maybe someday...
The first one I saw I wanted was a Luts Dark Elf Soo on ebay. I forget the artist's name, and still couldn't spell it to this day if I could remember it, but she was gorgeous. She still paints dolls, but now they're white skinned and gothic, where this one was more natural looking, with normal skin and so pretty! I evenutally got a DES, traded a Lishe head for her head.
The first BJDs I saw were Angell Studio... and I really wanted a Milk-pink Gus. He didn't end up being my first, and I don't really like him so much anymore. However, I still love Angell Studio, especially Lilith. I'd love to get her.
For me, I'd been around bjds for a few years before I, myself, got one. Because I hadn't seen any I would want. Until discussing it with a friend over a year ago, I went through different sites. I came across the Dream of Doll site. I went through each, until I came across the E-an model and I was sold on her. I still literally have her on my cell phone as a background because she is my goal, and I'm hoping to buy her next month 8D However, my first doll came about as my Christmas present last year. I went in on a GO with a friend and I had purchased Cara, my LTF Chiwoo Elf... but I believe my wait for E-an has been well worth it.
Hmmm...the first doll I ever fell in love with/wanted was a Volks Megu. I don't really remember much of what it was called but she was in this really cute gothic lolita outfit and I was in dollie love haha. This was like back in 2005 so...yeah. I showed my mom just because I thought she was pretty and my mom said she wished she could have bought her for me (which was really sweet). Two years later my love for the hobby had only gotten stronger and I was a senior in high school; which meant the annual senior trip to disney in florida...but I had already been there. My grandmother was going to pay for my trip (which cost $900 o.o), but my mom told her that I would rather have a doll, and so I had my pick of anything I wanted :'D I had been looking at Dollshes for a while, and decided I wanted a Hound. And that's how he came to be my first doll
Anyways my question to you guys is what was the first bjd you ever wanted? Was it the doll that ended up being your first? Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? (and if not then what made you decide that?) The first doll I ever wanted was a Dream of Doll D.O.I. Luke. That must have been upwards to three years ago, and when I saw the price of him, I almost fainted. XD; I put BJDs out of my mind for a while, but then I rediscovered them somewhere along the line and ended up purchasing an Angel of Dream Wang Zi - a far cry from the $600 hunk of man I originally pined after. Still, he was mine and I was happy. I've actually owned BJDs for a little over a year now, but I haven't gotten my Luke. I'm not sure if I ever will; other dolls have caught my eye, and I still don't wanna pay $600. XD;
The first doll I wanted was the first doll I bought, and the second doll I wanted was the second doll I bought. Souldoll Lupinus and Dollshe Husky. I am really glad I got them first as both are discontinued now!
Anyways my question to you guys is what was the first bjd you ever wanted? The first BJD I wanted was a Delf Dreaming Shiwoo. The first BJD that my girlfriend wanted me to want was the very first version of Volks Cecile in the Blue Boy suit thing. I thought his face-up and outfit was appalling and really couldn't get past my aversion to see how cute his sculpt was. He was no longer available by the time I was ready to buy a doll, and back then Volks hadn't yet re-released any doll sculpt so he seemed like an impossibility even though I was by then willing to give him a try. In looking at all of the boy dolls available (which was probably a number one could count on fingers and toes at the time), I fell in love with Dreaming Shiwoo. Was it the doll that ended up being your first? Dreaming Shiwoo was indeed the first doll I bought. On panicky impulse, I ordered his head one day. It was a time when Luts was having serious production issues and most of their dolls would sell out within a few hours of being restocked, so I spent many anxious days checking the website. When he arrived, he looked very different than I had imagined so I immediately attacked him with the Dremel tool and managed to get what I wanted. Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? (and if not then what made you decide that?) Since that first Cecile there have been a lot of re-releases, but I've never bought one. Came close to ordering an FCS F-17, too, but then didn't. I've seen a lot of them in person and while I think they are lovely, they seem somehow too stylized for my collection now. I find myself drawn to dolls that are slightly more fleshy and realistic looking but still stylized. In an interesting twist, my Dreaming Shiwoo now has an alternate open-eyed head that is a Volks Johanna who actually looks very much like a slightly more realistic Cecile.
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? Well, considering that I found out about BJD's in 2003-2004 ish from a friend who had some and would constantly show me pictures, the first doll I saw on a site because I could finally imagine actually OWNING one, was a couple of years ago. I was finally confident that I could get one and saw the DoI Kalix from Dream of Doll. Unfortunately he was limited, and by the time I would have had the money, his event was over. I wanted him, hardcore. I was willing to fork over all the money I was getting from my taxes for that doll, but alas, they don't keep events like that open just for one desperate person. XD Was it the doll that ended up being your first? No, since he was limited I missed his ordering period. My first doll ended up being sort of a tie between the doll I ordered first and the one that came home first. XD I ordered a Dollzone Mo-2 fullset, but while I waited on him my friend sold me her ResinSoul An. Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? (and if not then what made you decide that?) So far no, and I'm not really thinking it'll ever happen. I occasionally do a search in the MP for Kalix, but all the ones I see are so far out of my price range it's not funny, and they tend to be the NS versions. Personally, I find Kalix striking in his grey-skinned version, so if I ever did get one, that's the one I'd go after. I don't even care if he comes with all his stuff, though it would be nice, all I'd be after is the doll, and possibly hope it still had its original face-up, or a reasonable reproduction if something had happened too it. He's my dream, and dreams aren't always attainable. ^-^
The first BJD's that ever really tore at my heart were the Soom Bygg & Beyla. They are just so adorable! But, I didn't really want to spend that much money on a doll at that point in time. My first doll, a blue BBB Sprite is on order right now.
The first bjd I ever saw in person and the first one I reallu wanted was an Unoa Lusis after seeing an absolutely gorgeous pair during one of my first visits to Dolls and Friends when I was first getting in to the hobby. To this day, I still think they were some of the most beautiful dolls i've ever seen. It also got me interested in dyed dolls as one of them was a lovely shade of blue. I won't lie, it took me forever to figure out how to get an Unoa. xD I ended up getting Jolie off the marketplace here on DoA The doll I ended up getting first was an Angelregion Warrick who, unfortunately spends most of his time in his box now as my tastes have chsnged, but I can't stand to sell him yet. :C
What was the first bjd you ever wanted? The first bjd I ever wanted is Crobi Lance Was it the doll that ended up being your first? No. I ended up buying a CP Shiwoo instead due to Crobi's body proportion that makes shopping for clothes extremely hard Did you or didn't you ever get that doll you originally wanted? (and if not then what made you decide that?) I have not gotten the doll I originally wanted because, like I said, it is really tough to look for clothes that will fit Crobi size. However, I realised that I am totally in love with the sculpt and will sooner or later have to own him. As far as I know, that won't be anytime soon as saving does take up quite some time considering the fact that I'm still a student with no regular source of income...
The first doll I ever wanted was Shiro Tachibana. When I discovered BJD's, he was one of the first to show up in google image search! Of course, after seeing more dolls, I eventually fell in love with DOT Camine ^^ I think Shiro was more of an impulsive like, but not really *the* one; like Camine was for me. I still think Shiro is beautiful, but I'm very happy with the way things turned out.
The first doll I fell in love with was DollZone Hong. But he was so very expensive, so I couldn't get him. The first one I owned was a Boy & Girl Lyall. I still don't own a Hong, although I often look at his picture and hope.
About a year ago, knowing near nothing about BJDs I found my way to the Volks site and fell in love with their SDG Kun but she was sold out and as it was I didn't have the extra money laying around to be able to get her anyway (The Renewal version was available but the face up just put me off like it was no ones business and at the time I didn't realize you could order them blank and get a custom face up else where) Wow run on sentence... anyway. At the time I was still desperate for a doll (any doll) and decide to get one form their "Dollfie" line. So for a (very) early Christmas present my boyfriend bought my a Volks EB-Beauty and acrylic eyes. She wasn't what I was expecting but for the price I paid I wasn't all that surprised. I still consider her my First BJD even tho she is considered off topic. I have since decided SD dolls are too big for me right now and I have since decided upon a theme for my collection so I doubt I'lll get the Kun I wanted since she wouldn't fit in. And last week I put down for a short layaway on a RS Bei who I expect to have in a few week, just in time for my birthday she will be my first On Topic BJD
The first doll that I wanted was Luts WS Yder, and luckily since he wasn't limited, he was also the first doll I bought when I had saved enough money. Short answer, but a happy one.
The first BJD i ever wanted was a migidoll ryu. . . i attempted to save up for it, but failed horribly and then sorta gave up on bjds for a while(though i still did want one and i did still look at pictures) but then i got back into thema and wanted one even more this time, but i couldnt remember the name of the sculpt i wanted, not to mention, for months and months it had been saying that they wernt selling them. so then i ended up getting a Crobidoll Yeon-ho(which i love) instead. though i'm still working on getting a body for it, as its only a head. but now that i'v found that migidoll is selling ryu again, i'm hoping to get one one day xD
I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM. D: I want Sha sooooo bad! He's so damn pretty. T^T Instead, I bought a Doll Love Anona as my first. And she's killing me with cute. :3
I wanted the Luts Delf Elf Shiwoo - but they're limited and had already sold out before I stumbled across the Luts website. I could have got a regular Shiwoo but in that picky way of mine, I only like the Shiwoo sculpt as an elf (and I'd not heard of modding at the time) so I got a boy who I did like in the non-elf version, a Chiwoo (the boy in my icon picture thingie). Now, several years and nearly 30 BJD later, I'm not even sure I'd get an Elf Shiwoo if I saw one on the marketplace or e-bay. I have other elf boys and girls and have no particular desire to get a second Luts boy. I still like the Elf Shiwoo, but the last of my desire to have one of my own seems to have been sopped-up by getting a Little Fee Elf Shiwoo last year. Teddy
