SWITCH Discussion ~ Part VIII

I've got two questions: Everyone is talking about putting their Switch heads on non-Switch bodies, why? Are they no good?
Furthermore, the Damhyeon is listed as being only compatible with the 65cm bodies. Is this generally correct or will it also fit on the 60cm body?

Hello~ Finally getting to dive into the Switch world with an incoming Ryun-R head, and I am on the hunt for bodies. I'm mainly looking for something lanky because of his character. Does anyone know if Ryun-R would match a doll chateau body in normal pink?

I had a Switch body for my Soseo for a long time and I really liked it, but then recently I had been really wanting to try a certain other off topic body (Dollstown 17yr) and my Soseo is one of my favorite characters, so I decided to get it for him. I also have used Popodoll just because of the height and lankiness and that it's cheaper.

It's so nice to see so many different looks on the SWITCH sculpts! I've decided to go in a different direction with my Doha, so I will begin working on his new look as soon as his wig arrives. I also hope to share my Waseon in the near future.

I don't know what it is about Switch heads that make me think "you'll look great as a girl" but the variety and versatility of the sculpts are what's so fun about them ^_^

@KiwiNinamori - thanks! I was originally planning on leaving Doha as a boy but when he arrived "she" kept insisting she was a girl so onto a girl body she went ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Doha is on a Supia 65cm body and Huisa Direction is on a Loongsoul 69cm girl body (without the giant boobs that they usually have on default)
Your Huisa Direction looks intensely contemplative. Wonder what he's thinking ^^

 

@satyrsmoon Thats great! I was wanting to do a Supia 65 hybrid with a switch head. How is the resin match? Do you have more pictures of the head on this body? I would love to see them. The loongsoul body looks really good too.

 

@KiwiNinamori - There's actually a difference in resin between Huisa Direction and Doha. Even though Huisa Direction arrived later (February 2018, straight from Switch), there's a more yellow undertone in the NS resin compared to Doha who arrived on November 2017 from Faithz.

So it kinda made it easier to put Huisa Direction on a pale/light Normal Yellow body like with Loongsoul's resin.

Doha, I find is typical of the peachy NS formula that most Korean companies use. So when I tried her on the Supia body, I thought it wasn't a bad combo.

@satyrsmoon Switch seems to do that color difference a lot. Most of my Switch heads are different colors depending on when I bought them. But the match looks really great. And proportion for the neck is nice too^_^ thank you very much!

 

@KiwiNinamori - you're welcome There's a bit of gapping with the bodies, but that's really typical of hybrids. Glad I could help.

i wanna ask about HD 60 body. hmmm.. i didn't know this is the right thread to ask or not (help me please to find if this isn't right)

i have a SWITCH Haji:R with HD 60 body but until now i find it hard to posing him kneel down. Any trick to pose him? i'm afraid if he fell down because when i tried to bend his knee, it did not stabil

I think popo68 has the same problem... maybe they are not designed to do that pose...?

 

Question to owners of Seolrok (normal/holy): is the head on the bigger or smaller side? I have ordered one and would like to put him on a dollzone 62cm body but am afraid it may look off since on the official website it says only the hummingbird 65cm body is compatible.

 

I have tried my Seolrok:Holy on an Angel of Dream 62cm body, and I thought it looks fine if you're going for more childish proportions (and ignore that yellowed AoD yellow does NOT match with Rosy white xD). I only have this blurry picture though (the last one). The DollZone body look more slender though so I don't know if this helps.

Also, just a head’s up:
I purchased a SWITCH Muffin cut wig from FaithZ in size M & it’s much too tight on my Waseon’s head.
Not exactly sure what happened there, but I thought I’d let everyone know about this.

 

Really? Waseon's head should be able to wear 8-9 inch but SWITCH wigs do actually run smaller.

 

That's what I thought, which is why I went with the M size wig.
It does eventually get on his head if you struggle a bit, but there's a high chance of scratching his face or head cap (especially if you have long, strong nails).
I suppose since the wigs are handmade, sizes won't be consistent every time? I know some people with M size SWITCH wigs that fit fine on Waseon's head...

 

I think that depends on the wig... I bought few switch wigs... some of them are bit big, and some are too small... I have no idea how they measure it, so it's kind of luck if you got the correct size

 

@natsu82 which goes back to what I said about them being handmade, so no two will ever be alike...
Kind of a bummer since I was really looking forward to my boy wearing it, but I can't really do anything about it...
I also wanted to tell you that your Waseon, HuaXuan, is breathtaking! His faceup & style is stunning.

@louisalee I have the HD65 body...
However, I can tell you that when you want to do a "kneeling" pose, just bend the knees & steady him onto a surface, and push his legs apart from one another. Don't pose his legs straight when kneeling (I'm not sure if this makes sense sorry...)
Basically just look at Fairyland's image blog, they have examples of kneeling poses. Try to imitate the kneeling pose of their F60 Chloe & F60 Karsh (one knee pushed slightly to the front).
