@pirouette When I ordered from FaithZ, I never received a shipping notice. My heads just arrived at my door. There are some companies that just... don't let people know they've shipped-- a friend of mine had this happen with Fairyland too. Sorry you had issues, but I am glad your package arrived safely. : <

I don't think it's really a case of the companies themselves just deciding to be right bastards to their customers and never bothering emailing tracking numbers so much as it's the software they're using that's faulty. Considering that Switch seems to be using the same shop software as a lot of other South Korean BJD companies use (ie: Dollmore, Migidoll, Supia, Iplehouse before they switched to the site they're currently running), from my personal experience I've found that, to actually receive the email that confirms and lists the items I just ordered, I have to wait 3+ minutes before clicking the "pay now with Paypal" button, otherwise I won't get that email at all, just the Paypal receipt.
Anywhoo, tl;dr: technology malfunctions and sometimes things are just not in anyone's control.

 

For a long time , i received Doha head, and recently i reseived the body. I ordered the body through the intermediary with Taobao, it is DF-h 65cm, they cast to custom color Switch (SNG).
Proportions and color matching on 1000%!!! Just ideally!

@pirouette I'm sorry for what happened. But as @SugarCoatedStars said, your package arrived safely and that's so good!!! I did not received a shipping notice from Switch either. I was checking the website and discovered the tracking number just by chance. My Huisa direction arrived one day after I realized. It was a surprise arrival.

@Chelokotik Your Doha looks amazing in that body! I didn't know that Doll family accepted to cast in custom colors. I will take that into consideration because I want a Switch Ajeong head and want to hybrid it. I was thinking about the new Souldoll body that will be available for sale on april (I asked about it on the Q&A).

Here's my Huisa direction. And I have some things to say... I messed up his wig and Mako 12 mm eyes are smaller than what he really needs. The head is smaller than my Waseon, and it seems a bit odd in my Migidoll Guy II body. He can use 7-8 and 8-9 wigs o_o ! I bet he would fit better a 60 cm body.

I bought Doha head last November but failed face up 3 times. I even doubted If Doha and I are not bounded... yesterday I gave another try, and it ended up ok.

Body is popo68.

 

Hmmm, so I am not the only one who doesn't get shipping notice from SWITCH. I used to get them during their earlier years, and later years I no longer receive them. I had asked them to check on it before (they said to check my spam folder but nothing there) it was not really resolved (I still did not get any shipping notice after that). So I just make it a habit to check the order on their site based on their shipping time. At first I thought it was just me that was having problems.

I finally got this Akagidoll body in the mail and while my Ryuzo looks great on it, I think I prefer a more petite body for my Seolrok. I'm also looking for a pair of jointed hands that would match Switch (or Akagidoll) NS. Could anyone recommend any?

 

Em........ I just so curious about the story of Ajeong and Milhwa in La Vie en Rose........
Does anyone upload the storybook anywhere before? I tried to find in Switch’s official website, however everything had been deleted.

 

I had the book but it went with my Ajeong to the buyer when I sold him. The story was set in medieval Korea and went something like: Ajeong was from a fairly well off family but his parents died and he and sister became orphans. Ajeong was taken in as a manservant for a rich family that were family friends of his father. The oldest son of the family was Milwha who was a handsome young man about town known for his excesses, which were alcohol/opium/gambling related . Because Milwha was kind of lazy and useless, Ajeong became mostly his baby sitter, kicking him out of bed in the morning when he was hung over, getting him dressed etc. Milwha seemed to have some unrequited feelings towards Ajeong, which may have compounded his problems. Meanwhile Ajeong seemed more hung up on his sister and think there was this implication she would have to go to a bhuddist convent or marry a much older man if he couldn't continue to provide for her. This is all from memory, but that's the jist of it, I think ... Anyone else remember anything?

I recently got him small iris eyes (16mm) and made him some poseable fur cat ears with magnets (also a poseable tail with wire inside). I love how versatile he is as a photography subject. Innocent and youthful in some angles and serious in others.

greetings, switch army! i have a ryuzo head on the way, and i would like some input. switch has his head size listed at 9", though unfortunately the wig i'd like for him only comes in 8" or 9-10". do you think 9-10 would be too big? input would be appreciated! thanks a mill~

 

just wanted to drop by and say for those that ordered waseon on their recent pre-order, that i just sent an email to faithz about him (he was supposed to be shipped mid march and it's already the last week of march). was informed that he'll be shipped early april instead. so a bit more waiting time for us!

Hello!, I don't know where to ask this but I'll try here.

I got a Switch Soseo Holy Ver. recently from second hand and he has come back from faceups.

The problem is what body is best for the switch heads?

I have heard Spiritdoll Elegance body and Proud body is a good match. But for my character the Elegance body is too small and cute and the proud body is too big for me. But If i can't find anything else a proud is the one i will go with.

He's a demon so i wanted a 65cm body for him, not a 70cm. The lut's one is perfect but the colour doesn't match that well.

What body's do you have your switch's on? And I would love to see photos~~

@emilymae1992 I know people have also had their various versions of Soseo heads on Volks SD17 bodies. Unfortunately, Switch isn't a great match resin color-wise for Volks anymore. Switch's normal resin is lighter and a bit more pink toned. But, sometimes the difference can be camouflaged with a faceup.

I have a volks body, the body is older then the head as the body is a bit yellowed, but the body matches my migidoll well as he is a bit yellow also, i think! I don't know how to use Volks so even if I wanted a nother body Idk how to get one lol

And thank you for the suggestion. I'll definitely look into Spiritdoll hands. I just ordered a pair of Doll Legend hands in yellow after someone recommended them. I emailed Alice's Collections and they confirmed that it's a good match. I'll post some comparisons when I get them! ^_^

@emilymae1992 I have my Ryuzo on an Akagidoll 66cm body. It's similar to SD17 body in proportion and the resin match to Switch is perfect. Hope that helps!

 

Damn it! I had that body and sold it, as i didnt like it. It is very hard to pose. But thank you I will keep that in mind.

 

I have my Taeheo on an AprilStory AS17 boy body. The match is almost perfect.

 

@emilymae1992 Really? I personally love the way it poses. It's almost as good as my SD17 boys.

@emilymae1992 You could always try restringing or sueding. There's also silicone discs you can get that help immensely with posing.

Hey guys! I just discovered Hwahui over on FaithZ's website and I'm in love~ He looks so soft and precious, I'm really tempted to order him before the deadline but I've got a question for those who have ordered through FaithZ.

What does their "FaithZ Makeup" option look like? Will it be similar to the one done by Switch in the promo photos? Thanks!

 

I have Doha with FaithZ makeup -- I'd say it's "close enough" to his promo shots. It's less organic and more 'symmetrically organized', "smoother" (less detail around nose and on cheeks). The lips are probably the most different. (official) (FaithZ) It's still a high quality paintjob and I have no complaints.

My boy is home! I had to SWITCH sculpts are truly so beautiful. I'm in love with Waseon's lips and eye shape, even the creases. I can't wait to get this boy his body



I hope those who also ordered a Waseon got theirs as well! I didn't get any notifications or tracking number for him until I needed to get him from Customs, sadly. It's weird since I got a tracking number when I ordered some Switch clothes and wigs from FaithZ before this.

Did you saw the new boy Damhyeon? Switch offered it in Platina Switch first (their showroom and physic store in Korea). Now this head will be available soon in the website! I really love him and will order it as soon as released. His smug expression is something I can't say "no".

I ordered a Sohwa head in stock from Faith Z, and Ajeong r too. I'm really excited !

@Hisomu He will fit in perfectly! I'm going to stalk the mailman now until he comes XD And I definitely plan to get Damhyeon. I really like the fact Switch has been releasing more expression sculpts lately. Yido was definitely a new thing for them I think and Damhyeon should be interesting as well XD

@Hisomu I did see Damhyeon ;nnn; He's gorgeous and I know what you mean with his facial expression! I hope they rerelease him in the future because as of now, I plan on focusing on building my current crew first. He's definitely a part of my wishlist now though!

I'm going to buy the Damhyeon head and put it on 70cm body(dollstown17 or spiritdoll proud or popodoll70).
But I've heard that SWITCH's current head(like YIDO) size is smaller than they used to be.
Anyone know about this?

@MJ20 I ordered a Yido and it hasn't come in yet but I'll try it on my Dollstown 17 body when he comes in and check for you. I think even the smaller sided switch heads look okay on big bodies.They make their heads for their own 65cm bodies so I don't think they would make Damhyeon too small for another company.
