Switch is really taking their time for these two boys coming out in "April" XD Got one week left, but they finally have images on the banner on the Korean mobile site. So I'm hoping it's next week. I neeeeeed to know if I can get my Gyoha M

Gyoha M is seriously too handsome. I'd love to get his head in whatever colour! Possibly Milktea Rose so he can share a body with my Soseo...

 

lol i feel y'all! im just waiting on the girl bodies! type B (androgynous) is looking so good ;__; they posted about it in Feb... so hopefully it will be released soon??

 

@keara I‘m also waiting release of girl bodies! I hope they’ll be released at least until June

 

Oh my goodness, I am exhausted! Yesterday, I removed a pair of Nine9Style dark wash denim jeans off my Rosy White toned boy and his legs were stained bright yellow! I was shocked because I'd never had any color transfer of any kind before on my dolls. And all of my jeans are the same brand!

The jeans are blue too which is so weird. I emailed both Switch and Nine9Style to ask if they've ever seen something like this before. Anyway, short story is I spent almost 5 hours sanding him and got him back to normal. I'm so thankful it was a thin layer and I could get it off but I'm scared to put clothing on him again.

I wonder if white skin tones are more susceptible than yellow or tan...

 

I kinda left shoes on my Normal Skin Luts doll for a few years, and the logo inside the shoes got imprinted on her foot... I still haven't gotten to sanding her but I'm never storing my dolls with their clothes/shoes/wigs on again. To answer your question, I don't think it depends on the skintone. Dark clothes/wigs are going to leave stains on resin regardless.

 

@poisonapple88 - Dark color clothes & wigs are easy to stain resin, for any skintones.
White resin will be stained significantly comparing with other.
I agree that never storing dolls with dark color outfits or wigs will be the only solution.

 

I guess it depends on what is meant by storing. Do you mean in the box or just out in general? He was on a doll stand in my room. When I put them away I always put them in the box nude.

i give up in ryuzo:persona's release and wait for gyoha for long time

 

In general. Having your dolls wear dark clothes etc. for a long time is not a good idea. I think I saw Angel Studio offer like a white full bodysuit to wear underneath regular clothes. Maybe that can help prevent the stains!

 

I’ve been waiting for Gyoha too but now I’m not sure if I really want him. Gotta admit Powder Beige on the promo photos does nothing for me
Guess I have to wait some more for them to release Ryuzo or any other boys from my wishlist again. I would really love a doll in Mocha Brown. Do you guys think they’re going to re-release the 70 Attractive Body in Mocha Brown in the future?

 

the promo makeup of gyoha is not my type. i will get a blank head this time
ryuzo will be released in this year, rosy white according to Switch year plan
Mocha Brown attractive 70 is going to release in May.
there are a few bodies only release once in mocha brown, poika, HD70, better to get one before the order closed.

 

Rosy White Ryuzo sounds nice
It's a pity that Mocha Brown 70 body is limited in the full sense of the word. I can't afford two bodies from Switch atm and I'm not sure it's a good idea to buy a body when there is no head for it yet.

 

last year lots of mocha brown heads are released in raffle sale but no additional bodies can be ordered
the second hand market become more limited as every winner is searching a body at that time.
hopefully Switch will release all mocha brown bodies once a year.
just found their anniversary showroom event can order attractive 65, HD70 & attractive 70 in mocha brown resin
maybe they will release online too?

 

I hope that the sales for Mocha Brown go well and Switch release it regularly too. I remember something like this happening with Milktea Rose, I think, so it's possible! I don't really want to hybrid Switch dolls, I really like how Switch bodies look so it'd be cool if they offer Mocha Brown 70A body again in the future. I could also buy the Mocha Brown body first and save up for a body in one of the unlimited colours later BUT I'm not sure about Switch yellowing process. What if they offer a head I want in Mocha Brown 3 years from now? They might not match then...

 

I'm new to Switch, can someone answer me a silly question? What do the words like "moebius" or "closer" mean after the sculpts? Is it a specific makeup, or mood or something? Do all the "moebius" releases, for example, share a certain trait?

Also, does anyone know if powder beige skin is anything close to Volks' normal?

And one more thing: My assumption, based on the website and the conversation in here, is that the heads go on sale for limited periods of time. You buy them when that happens, and then you can order your choice of body around the first of any given month. Right? So, if I were to buy a head now when they go on sale, and then buy a body to match on May 1st, would the company ship my head and body together? Or would I be looking for two separate packages?

 

that description represent a modded version, or even a completely new head.
for ajeong closer, he is very different from the old version ajeong. i will said it is a new head with similar name.
moebius is only a modded version from orginal gyoha, no teeth parts in this version
there are a few words which means dreamlike version for Switch, diamante, inferno, persona or somnia

powder beige is quite similar to volks normal, little bit pink tone for PB. volks is more yellow tone.

i think they will send in 2 packages unless you leave a message to Switch.
& yes, limited period of sale for most of the heads except 3 heads in monthly system

I also have a question to all the owners of Soseo! What eye size does your Soseo wear? I'm going for a realistic look and I can't decide if I should buy 14mm with 5mm iris or 16mm with 6mm iris.

@Niel - i use 14mm eyes with 7mm iris. maybe 5mm iris works?

 

@Niel The mocha brown resin being a mismatch is definitely a concern. I bought a secondhand Mocha Waseon and the previous owner included replacement parts from a year later due to some issues with the resin and the color was drastically different. I just have an extra torso now, lol. I personally wouldn't buy a Mocha head unless I could get the body at the same time.

Yeah, the advice on the clothes is true. I've never had any staining on dolls happen before so I figured something this drastic wouldn't occur. My plan is to wash all the clothing with a dye fixer and get any excess chemicals off for next time.

 

Yeah, that's what I figured as well. For now I just hope my Milktea Rose Soseo from 2 years ago can match a newly made body. I've actually seen a tweet by someone from Switch saying that Milktea Rose is more stable than their other resin colours but I'm still a bit anxious about it lol. That's one of the reasons I kinda want to snatch a Milktea Rose Gyoha to share the body cuz he'll be a closer match. Powder Beige is growing on me too though. Such a hard choice! I wish I could just get every Switch doll ever xD

 

FINALLY I can bring Gyoha M home and take my ad down for him. God, I want him in milk tea and that would mean all my Switch boys are in milk tea except 1. I am obsessed with this skin tone. xD

The default faceup for Gyoha is... not great. Seems like they just needed to slap something on him. Doesn't pull the uniqueness of his face together for me. I prefer not sending heads out these days, but that's okay. I'm sooo excited.

Yes! It can also look tan or pale pink depending on the lighting, which is so cool! I'm obsessed with it. There are some beautiful Powder Beige Gyoha M's on the internet but I think I'm going to get him in Milktea Rose. Maybe. Thank god there is still time to think about it...

 

Have you guys seen photos of the official make-up for Gyoha on the artist's Twitter? Omg, good lighting really makes a difference. Gyoha doesn't look like he's about to die and turn into a zombie on these pics! I like it way more now, actually. It's getting harder and harder to choose between Powder Beige and Milktea Rose. Sigh.

 

Hi!! I can find 2 photos from the same photographer on Flickr (not sure if they're a DoA member) but I'm curious if anyone has a normal skintone Switch head on a Granado body they could share photos of? The head I'm looking for a body for is a few years old but I'd get a brand new body for him.

Either Lads or Supermodel is what I'm wondering about. Those Granado hands are just and I'm hoping it might work.

 

@Niel - i purchase powder beige, which is the only skintone in my collection. milktea is great if you have a body to share

@gothiclibrarian - the neck circumference seems to be suitable but i realize there is a color different between neck & shoulder in that photo. i am afraid that requires some grinding before hybrid.
& grando normal skin is generally in yellow tone, Switch is little bit pink tone

 

I really like both powder beige and milktea rose but powder beige looks a bit too yellow for my taste on those promo pics and I'm afraid it will yellow a lot more with time... On the other hand, milktea looks amazing on Ajeong's promo photos. I want to get a head with the official face-up but I'm not sure if it'll look good on a milktea head.
Switch are so cruel. They keep releasing sculpts that I want and forcing me to go all in Eventually, though, I would love to own Switch dolls in all of the available colours... and now I'm starting to sound like a fanatic.

 

@Niel 100% on the same boat! I first saw a Mocha Waseon at a meetup and wanted a Switch doll then and now my collection of them keeps growing. I have all the colors and Milktea really is soooo pretty. I recently got Yozo in that tone and am hoping to get him a body soon. I have Ajeong in Powder Beige and he's lovely. I think the faceup would look fine on that color but Milktea is great too! He has such a soft cute baby face.

 

@poisonapple88 I've been looking all over Twitter, ig, Naver and Switch website for the past two days and I still can't decide what colour I want my Gyoha to be! I'm going crazy. Wish I could get both but I have to save up for 2 bodies and a Rosy White Ryuzo too... I want Gyoha to be pale, and the colour of Milktea is perfect on Ajeong's promos (the no make-up version) BUT on some other pics on the internet Milktea skin looks tan and closer to Mocha Brown which is not what I'm going for with him. I wonder if the pics on the face-up artist's Twitter are of Powder Beige Gyoha, it's so hard to tell sometimes.

 

Hi! I've been reading the thread recently and this question came to mind so hopefully it's the right place to ask... does anyone know if Switch's HD41 girls (or bodies) were ever released in any skin other than normal? Or anything about their HD41 girls at all, since I can barely find any online it seems...

 

@Niel The promo makeup pics for Gyoha should be Powder Beige. If you scroll all the way to the bottom under Item Details it has the tone, wig, and usually clothes if any. To be honest, I'm also tempted to pick him up! Probably in Milktea though. I also got Ryuzo back in January but I haven't sent him off for a faceup yet. Too many bodies to buy!

 

@poisonapple88 Gosh, yes! I'm buying more and more dolls but my Soseo is still waiting for me to send him off for a faceup... I also don't even have anything for him like a wig, eyes, clothes... not even a body xD I kinda feel bad but I don't want to miss my chance of owning the dolls that I want. I can always get a faceup and other stuff for him later... hopefully.

 

Yep, it's not a TERRIBLE match, but my head is older too so it might have a bit more yellow than a brand new one. Only one way to find out! Also considering a Ringdoll body...but they don't have the jointed hands any more...
