Finally got my Huisa together, maybe a few more wardrobe changes and he'll be complete! I did sell my Taerin Bijou to get Huisa but the post lost him right before he got to the buyer So I guess one day there'll be a lone Taerin in a flea market

I saw Ruan too. Does that mean Pavian will no longer be available or will they both be options each month?

I like Ruan he has a very moody look and he does look very similar to Rion though looking at the two I feel like Ruan has a smaller face if that makes sense

 

Switch may put a last order notice if any heads will stop selling. Just like an old monthly head Yiho.
Pavian looks like dreaming version of Waseon, i think he is famous and will not be closed forever.

 

Agree, completely. Switch from what I can recall will not completely discontinue a sculpt, without notifying customers. This is one of the many reasons I love SWITCH. They really understand customers.

 

Switch almost completes their year plan announced except the Mocha Brown Doll.
I am still waiting my HD70 body and the second online raffle sale

 

Phew, that makes me feel better. I'm planning on buying a doll in December and was nervous Pavian would no longer be an option. Looks like there's one more doll announcement incoming though according to @mugenkaze! I'm excited to see who it will be!

 

I've finally put some eyes and a wig on my Switch Soseo! He is my first ever Switch doll, I used to for a long time not like a lot of Switch sculpts because the lips just looked off to me. I think Switch for me is one of those companies where you have to find the specific head with a great faceup in order to like the sculpt. Can I see some other Soseo for inspiration, I have no idea where I want to take him!

 

I wonder who the last sculpt will be!

 

Love Ruan’s hooded eye! But I never had a SWITCH boy before; not sure what skin color and body type I should get for him

 

Normal skin will be a good choice if you would like a hybrid body.
I suggest milktea rose which is a special color. It looks different under sunlight, sometimes being close to normal skin.
Looks darken as Tan skin under indoor dim light.
A downside of this skin is difficult to find a close skin tone from other brands.
No successful hybrid bodies is heard after debut of milktea skin

 

Thanks for the advice! Maybe I will get a normal one then! (Or rosy white?) Milktea skin color looks super cute but I assume I have to get a Milktea switch body for it?

 

Better to order a body together from Switch if you propose to have a milktea skin doll.

Does anyone know whether SWITCH's 9" (B-size) wigs will fit comfortably on a doll with smaller head (like the 8-9" Volks dolls)? I've head a number of beautiful smaller 8.5" (M-size) wigs and they've been fine, but I'm not familiar with the slightly bigger size. SWITCH wigs aren't very stretchable T__T

 

I've actually used their 9" wig on one of their 8.5" heads and it was interesting. The bangs ended up being quite long going over his eyes (styling it helped a little) and I believe I needed some tack to keep it on too. I'm sure someone may have a volks to test it though.

 

@Hosh Thank you! How loose would you say the 9" wigs are on the smaller head- does it noticeably move around without any tack or doll cap?

 

It's kinda loose and wiggles around but I think since mine is also a Switch head it's going to fit better than on other dolls.

 

Does anyone know if Doll Family-H tan skin matches with Switch mocha brown skin? I'm not talking about the color matching service DF-H offer. There's a head that is in DF-H tan and I want to put it on a Switch mocha brown body but I don't know how it would look on it ><

HHHhhhh how do you know your entry went through? I want Waseon in brown skin so bad. Survey after survey I requested him. Please Switch have mercy on me and take my money

 

I put Waseon as my #1 and all other slots are for the Yidos. I never win lotteries though.

 

I chose Waseon for all of them because I'm fricking rabid, I have to have this doll. I haven't entered any of their raffles before. Is it really hard to win?

 

Good luck to everyone! I'm still sitting on whether or not I will enter this round. I just received my milktea Yozo and he will need a body in addition to my Huisa Direction... Expensive! Waseon is gorgeous as always but I'm eying the Yido in powder beige and the Hwayeon. $400 is a lot for one head oof.

 

I entered for a mocha Waseon as well . I got lucky with my Sohwa so I hope I can manage it one more time. Good luck everyone, I'm already getting nervous LOL

 

Does anyone know a good hybrid match for powder beige? I was thinking Doll Family-H but I can't really tell :/

 

I have a 2019 "switch normal skin" Hwayeon, which I believe is either the same or very similar to powder beige in 2020. I believe they just changed what it's called, which I'm thankful for because honestly what is even "normal skin". I have that head on a luts 65delf body and it's a pretty good match. The new resin is much pinker than my 2015 Hwahui, although he's probably yellowed by now. I feel safe saying he was never that pink. I'd definitely try to steer away from more yellow resin unless your willing to dye it to match.

 

Doll Family H can produce with a matched resin to PB if you request it, i got a 68cm body this year and it's a perfect match . when i ordered my PB Dojin in Dec 2019, Faithz's site explained the PB was the new name for NS but same colour as the recent NS. Unfortunately, i don't have any older NS/PB to compare.

 

Hi. Can anyone explain how switch releases work? Is Yido a limited sculpt? Also is milktea rose a pink resin?

 

First release of switch head is an unlimited release. After few years, sometimes next year, will be re-released in limited numbers.
Official dealers re-release 3-4 nos of old heads every year.
If you miss Yido on official site, there will be a chance.
Milk tea skin looks pink when comparing with normal skin.

 

@gothiclibrarian I have a Kanadoll Adrian and Switch Waseon but not that many photos of them side by side. Not sure what exactly you are looking for, it might help to elaborate on that? Head size? Facial features?

@xyuemoto I think if you scrolled earlier in this thread, there have been photos of switch normal, milktea rose and mocha skin compared side by side. Milktea rose is kind of a in between shade that is darker and pinker than the normal skin. It has pink undertones for sure.

 

Mostly curious about head size (and eye sizing in comparison), so this is super helpful, thank you!

I dropped off my Yozo in the mail today for his faceup! I'm really excited to see what he will look like. It's a new artist I haven't tried before @Zango_18 but their work is so beautiful

 

@gothiclibrarian Glad it's helpful ^^ Head size wise, they wear similar sized wigs (Switch wigs in size M which is about 8.5" or size B which is about 9") so I'll say their heads are about the same size.

Eye size wise I have both of them wearing 14mm eyes with small iris. I think Waseon has a bit more eye whites showing than Adrian.

 

With the raffle, is there a chance of one person being selected for multiple heads? Would you then have to buy all of them? I'm fairly inexperienced with this kind of thing, but I think I might want to enter. I wouldn't be able to afford more than one, though.

 

Super helpful, thanks again! I decided to bring home a Hwayeon to hang out with Adrian and am hoping they look good together. Hwayeon has really interesting eyes so I'm not sure if I have a pair that will work. Then I gotta do some faceups...

 

@gothiclibrarian that's exciting! I think Hwayeon has an interesting face, his eye shape, nose shape and lips are all quite unique. I think they would look good together! _bulgolgi on instagram has both of them and you can see Hwayeon and Adrian together. Good luck with your Hwayeon ^-^

 

I ended up figuring out how the raffle works after reading a bit more closely. I entered a few days ago for the two Seolroks and one of the Hwayeons- fingers crossed! Also, I hope the others here who entered have good luck ^^

Today my favorite faceup artist (photo credit @6anli) sent me the pictures of my Ajeong Closer. He previously had the company faceup but it was sloppy and I opted to let Sylvester redo it. I'm so excited. He's so adorable. I can't wait to take some pics of him in the Sadol school uniform I ordered.

I've won mocha Hwayeon and I'm super happy! I've never won something like this before, but the email just says congratulations and then has the payment date, but does anyone know where I go to pay and see what I owe? I'm a little confused by the email and the available heads on the site.

I'm assuming only the winner can buy the head, but it's confusing how they're all open? XD

 

Congratulations to those who won! Yeah I dont know why they left so many of the listings open even for people that didn't win, its making me want to take the chance and order LOL

edit: but just so those that did not win know! after the order period if any winners did not purchase the head they won there will be a redraw but they will not announce it, so keep an eye on your inbox on the 3rd/4th as well.

 

Switch just post their 2021 release plan. Only two new names are there.

 

I wonder if it's common for winners not to go through with their purchases, or if most just wait until the end to pay. Seems like only two of the heads have been claimed so far, if the website is up to date, that is.

I’m a newbie who has been looking at switch heads and loving them, with them do you always have to buy the body separately? And do they always just have a couple of monthly head choices?
Also wondering if anyone got a switch head with a more “neutral realistic” face up photos that you can show......
