So excited for you! Mine is still on Before Shipping but with any luck he will ship out soon.

 

Switch told me they were "positively considering" releasing Mori again from the survey results - so that solves that Crossing my fingers.

 

So here is a little something I've found on Twitter. Seems like there's going to be a Taerin Eclipse release in Rosy White and Powder Beige in September (I've also seen some photos and a video of him on Twitter), Damhyeon Cresent release in Rosy White, Powder Beige and Milktea Rose in October, and Sohwa release in Rosy White, Powder Beige and Milktea Rose in November. I'm kinda tempted by Sohwa tbh...

 

I'm also excited about this Sohwa news. I've wanted his sculpt for years now.

 

I am saving up money for Sohwa as well. He is my biggest favourite.

 

Aaaaaand my Gyoha has shipped! I thought the painted hands and feet might slow him up slightly, and he looks to be about a week behind others with faceup. As opposed to last time, I'm hoping he lingers in Chicago for a few days as we leave for vacation on Sunday. Our pet sitter is good, but I'd rather be the one to make sure he gets brought in. My milktea rose Damhyeon is out for faceup right now also. How will Switch take my money next??

 

Turns out I actually had a wig that worked for my character. So I had Yuuen borrow someone else's wrong colour body (which I hid, haha) to get a quick photo. My lights and camera kind of wash out this mocha brown colour a bit.

Pleased to report that after years of wanting a Rusi, he's finally in my home!


Rusi is actually the second of three Switch heads I have for the same character. Mara and Kiri are still undergoing a refresh, but then Bishop will have three dramatically different looks for me to enjoy.

 

Has anyone in here ever been to the physical platina store? I am currently in South Korea and will be going there but I'm worried if they accept my card type (Mastercard Debit) or foreign cards in general . Other stores have said they "think so" before just for my card to decline . But I'm limited in how much money I can get from an ATM at a time, and the fees are infuriating, so it would be amazing if anyone knows since I'm planning on ruining myself financially

Edit; My Mocha Brown Gyoha Moebius finally arrived at my mothers address and she was too nervous to completely unwrap the head, so she sent me a hilarious picture of him in his plastic prison

 

For those who've bought from Switch's website directly before, it's my first time purchasing from Switch, so I'd like to know how the ordering process goes?

I've just made my order last night completely through Switch points and the status says 'Credit Card/Paypal Payment Incompletd/Pending', so I'm getting a bit worried! Is this normal, and does the staff manually update the status to show that payment has been accepted? Or is it meant to be an automatic process?

Would be grateful for any input and help!

 

Please don't worry! They need time to check your order, especially if you purchased at night. I haven't used my points (yet) to buy anything, but usually it takes a day to change the status from "pending" to "paid". I'm sure it will be ok. Switch is a very reliable company.

 

Ahhh thank you so much for your reassurance! You're right, Switch's customer service has been great and friendly, so that puts me at ease a bit! I guess it might take a bit longer for them to change the status from 'pending' to 'paid', given that they're having holidays till the 4th thank you so much again, I'll wait a few days more, hopefully the status changes soon!

I would like to buy a body Doll Family H- 65, in the Alice Collection store.
What a color I need choose, because there two normal colors - is normal yellow and a normal pink.

DFH already has that colour on file. If you tell Alice Collections you want the body matched to Switch Powder Beige they will tell you what to select when ordering the body and to leave your request in the order comments. I ordered the same body matched to Mocha Brown a few months ago and that's what they told me to do. I had to pick tan resin because Mocha Brown counts as a tan resin and there was no extra cost aside from selecting tan.

It’s been a month since I left my question on ttya’s Q&A board, and since there’s still no answer I want to try and ask here. Has anyone tried ID75 clothes on a Switch HD70 Attractive body? I want to buy a jacket and a hoodie from ttya but I’m not sure if I should get a SD17 or ID75 size. Does SD17 size fit at all? Is ID75 size ok for an oversized look or will it look unrealistically big?

 

hi, I'm not sure if this will help but I've recently made an order from a bjd clothes tailor at an online marketplace, and she owns Switch bjds. I've asked her before, and Switch's HD65 Attractive fits both popo68 and SD17 clothes sizes whilst cutting it very close, so I doubt SD17 clothes will fit Switch's HD70 Attractive body. I can't give any advice for ID75, but it does feel like if you buy your clothes in SD17 size, you're taking a risk unless the clothes are a loose fit! hope this helps in some way, but I hope more people will be able to help too

 

SD17 size clothes cannot fit on Switch HD70 attractive body.
i own a HD70 body(not attractive), which is slimmer.
SD17 size top fits marginally, for suits. a hoodie may works but cannot be a just fit type jacket
i suggest to try on a 70cm outfit, some size like luts super senior delf and DFA70

 

@esuko @mugenkaze Thank you for your suggestions! Too bad that both ttya and Nine9Style don’t offer clothes in 70cm size. Seems like if I want their stuff for my big boys, ID75 is the only way to go.

 

Hello just wanted to ask since I’m interested in getting a Switch head and would like to ask which resin color is closest to around the pink/normal color?

 

Powder Beige is the "general" normal skin. Milktea Rose is kind of light tan.
Honesty to say, I prefer Milktea rose, since this color tone looks more vivid when taking pictures.

Thanks for the answer it really helps me alot.I was just thinking of getting a head and wanted to hybrid it with a supia ballerina body but don’t know if they have similar resin colors.

 

Spotted this comparison between Switch's Milktea Rose and Mocha Brown to Dollits' Light Brown on Dollits' Twitter the other day. They don't mention Switch by name but I'm pretty sure Switch is the only one who calls their tan skins by those names?

1 - Milktea Rose
2 - Mocha Brown
3 - Dollits' Light Brown

 

Since I don't have Supia's doll, can't help on your question. Maybe can find answer on Supia Discussion.
I have normal skin of switch & volks both 2021, their colors are close. If supia NS is also close to Volks NS, then supia should be okay with switch's. Hope this help!

hi! I would like to request the help of anyone here who has a 65Attractive body:

would anyone be able to help me measure:
1. the length of a 65Attractive hip? Not the circumference (which is stated as 26cm on Switch's official site, but just the length from left to right?)
2. The length from knee to foot (including foot) i.e. when the doll is sitting upright on a chair?

I'm customising a chair for my boy who hasn't arrived yet, so it would be lovely to know these measurements.

The measurement from knee to foot (when they are sitting) is 19cm. I'm making chairs for them too.
As for the first,I guess you mean their "butt" size. I'm ashamed, but I haven't measured it. However, I will check it for you, so please wait for my next reply!

I checked the butt size when they are sitting. It's 10cm. And I just realized I wrote 19cm for knee-to-foot, but it's 18cm (I rechecked it)! So sorry!

you're so fast! thank you so much! may i just clarify one thing, is the 18cm from the bottom of the knee to the bottom of the foot, or from the top of the knee to the bottom of the foot? it's extremely inconvenient trying to gauge measurements without the doll at hand aaaah thank you sm for your assistance once again!

 

Oh, sorry! You are right! I forgot to tell you that!
18cm is from the bottom of the knee. I measured it while making the body in a sitting position (knees bent, measured it from bottom of thigh to the floor), so a seat height should be around 17-18cm, I think.

I found one on Flickr , and Switch did put it on HD57 girl, but I think the width of HD57 is too small for Shiho.

Hi all I’m thinking to get the Taerin Eclipse head and I checked the other Taerin heads on Switch website, which was stated to be compatible with HD 57 girl body. Does anyone hybrid this head with a girl body? Just want to know the neck size and shoulder length. Thank you

 

Since TAERIN Eclipse is a new sculpt, it's imposible to hybird this head on girl body now.
I check the switch's website, It will be delivered from end of December.

 

I meant if anyone hybrid the previous Taerin heads with girl body. The head hole should be the same as previous Taerin heads right?

Let me shortly translate for your reference, owner think taerin bijou's head is too big on SDGr girl, so she hybird it with SD16.

Taerin bijou and Taerin are 9 inch, TAERIN Eclipse is 8.5 inch. Eclipse might looks good on Gr girl.

I’m on the fence about preordering Taerin Eclipse. He looks great with the company face up but the photos of the blank head look strange. The company face up is out of my price range. Do you think the head will look ok in real life? I’m an artist but I’m still new to doll face ups.

 

After I regrettably sold my Haji:R years ago (what was I thinking?), I recently traded an older head for a Yiho! They're similar enough to scratch that itch for the natural pout that Haji had The CoA says it's white skin, but it's also from 2013 so it's mellowed very nicely. The prior owner had it on a Soom cream white body, and I'm heavily leaning towards getting a Vings 68cm body for it early next year.

 

I’ve never owned any Switch head before and saw Taerin Eclipse by coincident, not fell in love at first sight but the head is kinda unique. I like the half open eyes that still show the eyes (unlike most sculpts you barely see the eyes) and the head has a wicked feeling about it. The sculpt doesn’t have the vampire feel to me, more like a wolf lady/man.
I already placed the order so I’ll see how I feel about the sculpt when it comes. If not I can always resell it since Taerin is quite popular. And I agree makeup fee is expensive even though it’s not that special imo so I ordered blank head. Just practice face up and you will be fine

 

Has anyone ever ordered Switch heads with makeup? How hard is it to get one? I remember Gyoha M selling out in a few hours (?), but then again, I have only been into Switch dolls for less than a year now and I’m not sure how popular certain sculpts are. I’m going to try and get myself a makeup version of Damhyeon C anyway

 

I'm suprised but Damhyeon C is still on sale with makeup!
I think they were selling Gyoha M in a really small number of heads. It was literally sold out in 15-20 minutes. Besides this incident, I have never seen heads with makeup going that fast, so I would say it's not hard to get makeup ones.

Now that you mentioned this, i wonder if anyone bought Gyoha M with FaithZ makeup. How was it? I would really love to see some pictures! (I bought mine without faceup and before FaithZ announced they would sell with that great makeup).

 

It seems like it depends on the head's popularity and the makeup too. I remember the makeup version of Ajeong C being available until the order period was over, if I'm not mistaken, but Damhyeon seems to have repeated Gyoha's case. I had to wake up at 5 AM (or 11:00 KST) to buy him with makeup! Powder Beige makeup option sold out in the first hour even though the company's website wasn't working during most of this time, and Milktea Rose sold out after a few more hours. The only makeup option available right now is for Rosy White. It seems like the quantity was limited for each colour. Ahhh, I reeeeally reeeeeaaaally want to buy Damhyeon C in Rosy White as well. I fell in love with this colour ever since I unboxed my RW Ryuzo a few days ago! It's absolutely stunning irl. But I can only hope that DamC gets re-released one day because I barely have money left for a MR body in my doll funds now.

Oh, I'd love to see some owner pics if someone ordered Gyoha with that makeup. Mine has a very quick and sloppy makeup done by me until the weather gets better so I can repaint him...

 

I have some heads with Switch makeup, but I ordered them when they were time-limited instead of quantity limited... It's been a while since I bought any Switch heads, so I didn't even know they'd changed the selling method!

I have a Uhui:R head that I ordered with FaithZ faceup. It's not exactly the same as the official pics, which is to be expected since it's not done by the original artist, but I think it's close enough.

@namika - he's so cute! i didn't realize they went for the company look for some sculpts

i have a Gyoha D and a Soseo with FaithZ's artist faceup. i chose the "dramatic" make up version i think at the time, but there was also a very subtle one offered, like A & B choices.

i really love Gyoha's look and the frosted blue above his eye. he looks pretty great in a grey wig too.

Soseo, though, has been difficult to get the right wig. here he is with a ginger one. i wish his eyes were a little softer, so i might change his eyelashes to a tone closer to his eyebrows. apologies for the bold label, i prepared it for another purpose, but i cannot get to him right now for a new photo he's packed away. i really like that both of them have freckles.

Wow! So again, it was hard to get that wonderful makeup Damhyeon! Although I was considering getting him, I'm saving up for Sohwa, so I had to give up on him.

I know what you mean staying up until 5 AM, I have to be up until 3 AM if I want to buy something from Switch.

I love rosy whites, too. I have a Huisa D and a Hwayeon in that colour (with my sloppy makeup). I think they have this elegant feeling around them.
