So, I just got a switch head Seseo from a friend and I'm not even sure what size body he goes to. I'm googling and nothing really shows...

 

@MarbasHellsing 65+ is most people's go to body sizes.

 

I'm looking at a 2014 Ryun head in WS and wondering what my hybrid options are?

 

Does anyone own a Maeri or Bahm?
Super curious about their quality and size compared to other existing dolls of similar lines from other companies since they are my grails but completely missed the chance to buy them back when they were first released
Any photos to feed my starved eyes would be appreciated as well

I have currently have Soseo on a 65 Attractive but in my opinion Soseos head is quite large and might look better on a 70cm body

 

I have a Soseo on the 65cm Switch body— I think that’s the perfect size for him! And congratulations on your boy!

Finally just joining this thread - I've had a second hand Soseo in Mocha Brown from the MP for a while now but I've just been chilling with the boys since.Buuuut since I broke down yesterday (at work no less) and ordered Ajeong C in Powder Beige I wanted to join the conversation. I'm so excited and I'm glad to see so many comments for eye size, makes pre-shopping so much easier!
The hard part is deciding to take the easy route and get a SWITCH body for him or attempt to have my first hybrid. :S

 

I heard that official dealer started to send the blank heads, maybe an extra month for faceup heads?

 

Thank you for the help! You are right! I checked the official homepage and it says, the shipping starts from 31st May! I got totally mixed up because on twitter, the blank heads have started to pop up for more than a month now, and on top of it, someone mentioned that blank heads had been shipped much before their official shipping date.
I guess I was expecting it so much I mixed up the shipping dates.
Anyway, thank you for your mentioning the extra month. That made me recheck the whole thing!

 

Can someone explain to me how the $500 points back thing works? I have read it over and over and for the life of me... I'm missing something xD

Also man I hope it's not... too hard to find a mocha body if I don't buy it with him. It's hard to come up with all that up front, but I don't want to kick myself with a floating head and I would rather not hybrid. Unless some nice body matches like Dollstown or something.

 

Anyone win the Concerto event raffle? I applied for Yido but didn't win I'm hoping he gets another release in Milktea or Mocha Brown normally at some point.

@Littlebirdzoom Once you buy the coupon it takes up to 1 business day but they'll load your account with the points. You can use the points at checkout as a cash equivalent. It's worth it if you're buying a body cause it'll pay for most of the shipping at least.

 

seems gyoha & yido are popular in this event. I have seen a couple of wanted posts in different social media

 

Both are amazing. I really hope Switch re-release Yido in MB one day when I have the money to get him. I'm so broke after getting Gyoha in PB...

 

I'm confused because the coupon is $500? So I would be spending $500 on nothing in order to get a small amount of points? It just seems strange or I'm totally missing something.

 

You spend $500 to basically get $550 equivalent in points.

 

I also order PB gyoha, after watching lots of great photos from other owners.

Me too! Gyoha is an amazing sculpt, and you can do almost anything with him, and he'll still look great. I'm slowly collecting materials to try and do his face-up myself once he arrives.

Is his head smaller than Soseo's? I kinda missed that info on Switch's website.

 

That part I get! So I spend $500 and get $50 worth of points to spend, but does the other $500 get put towards something? Or does my account get credited with $550 so then I use that to like... purchase a body or something? Actually that makes sense.... You spend $500 and get 550 points, so you basically have $550 on your account that you can spend on anything you want, like a body!

I do not have any talent on artwork, sending him to my favorite artists for makeup probably is my only choice.
soseo is 9inch, gyoha is 8.5inch

I understand you very well! Sadly, all the artists whose work I admire live in South Korea and rarely take international commissions. So trying to learn how to do face-ups is kinda my only choice. I'm going to try my best!
I also haven't even thought about what kind of wig I want him in. I want to get something from Switch but I'm not sure how often they restock their wigs...

 

It's worth asking the artists politely though! I sent an email to C.C.P. Katharsis who did the makeup for a milktea ryuzo release and she accepted my order. A lot of artists seem to close international orders because they have poor experiences with customers but by complimenting their work and showing my willingness to work with them I've had some good results!

Wanted to chime in and second this! I asked one of the Switch artists nicely too a while back (Bron) and they accepted my request as well! Totally worth asking

 

I also won a Yido Inferno although I'd really like to get a body I wanted to ask if anyone else thinks they'll release the 64cm body in Mocha Brown? I'm not sure if I should just go for the 65 body while I still can lol

You basically "pay" 500usd upfront for a voucher or points equivalent of 550usd (1pt = 1usd) which can be used any time after the initial purchase period! From what I've checked with switch, the points don't have an expiry date, and you can use it for multiple purchases assuming you still have a remaining amount of points left over after each purchase. Just gotta make sure you redeem it at the check-out stage of your purchase!

Might honestly be a good idea to grab that and wait for mocha body sales since you basically do get a 50$ discount!

 

Thank you!! I ended up purchasing it to use towards this purchase for the Concerto stuff for the body. Especially because shipping for a full doll is almost $100 now So it'll be nice to have the $50 off! Very nice of them to offer this.

 

Now looking at their past releases this does seem to be the case I wanted to look forward to an androgynous body but I guess I will have to get the 65 instead! Thank you

 

@Littlebirdzoom good idea honestly, from what I've heard EMS shipping will go up after June 1st by 30-40%
so it's about to get all the more expensive OTL

lucky though since i just managed to get a 2nd hand waseon in mr before the shipping prices go up

 

So my order status has changed to 'Before shipping'. Does it mean they already made both the head and the body? Isn't that too quick?

 

My Gyoha: Moebius head is also "before shipping" (the one sold at the end of April), although the official shipping date is in August... I think they will keep it until the official shipping starts, but I can be wrong.

 

That makes sense! I didn't expect April orders to ship earlier than the end of July so seeing this status made me a bit confused.

My Ryuzo:Persona had "before shipping" status for a month and finally yesterday it started its journey! Can't wait to meet him finally!

 

Ohhh, must be nice! I wanted to get Ryuzo:Persona when he was announced but decided to wait... I don't regret it because I got to buy one of my grails instead! Still, I'm hoping to save up enough money for when Switch release Ryuzo in Rosy White

 

Same here! I'm waiting for Ryuzo and Doha release in Rosy white! Wonder when they will be on sale? Maybe August and December? I'm just guessing from their release plan...

 

Hi all you switch lovers, i have a question for you as you may be knowledagle while i search for some answers.

I recently on Friday received my Ryuzo (OMGOSH!! hes so handsome)... and i have a body that fits my character perfectly... problem is..... the body is tan (from shoushou doll, so its on the lighter ish side) and the head i have is the Milk tea rose. I did think it would match more, but seeing it in person... and in the light... well im questioning my eyes now haha
EDIT: note that popodoll and shoushou doll have the same tan.

I am wondering if someone knows if the mocha brown would be a better fit or if you all think i should just get the face up redone at some point and have the head blushed to match the body.....

Do new sculpts normally come with some promotional faceup as well? Been keen to grab one of nuit's beautiful paintwork

 

They almost always have official makeup but I feel like I haven't seen one that makes me go "WOW". It's always kind of hit or miss with company face-ups. It would be nice if Nuit did a good one though cause sending dolls out for face-ups is definitely a drag!

 

Does anyone have any feedback/reviews of Switch wigs? They tweeted a preview of some upcoming wigs for this month and I’d like to buy them, but I want to know if their quality is worth it. Also, does anyone have any pictures of any Switch wigs on their dolls?

 

@superXasian I totally recommend switch wigs! Very full and soft, with no weird netting showing on any I've purchased. I've owned three. Idk if you're on instagram but my handle biglazagna and have pics on there, all pics you see with Eliott (switch sohwa in those pics, new shell now) are him wearing switch wigs, both the long black one and the short black one. Jay (MK milo, new shell now) is the blonde sd boy, and that's him wearing a switch wig as well. All in all they are very high quality, I would definitely recommend them. If you don't have an insta dm me and i'll send u the pics thru there

I have many SWITCH wigs and they are really great in quality. Like the above post said there's never any hair-net showing problem. But they are on the smaller side.

 

I ended up asking FaithZ if they knew when Seorlok Hiver was going to ship, then they told me they sent him on the 26th and forgot to update me/send tracking, and he's in the US! So I should have him any day now. I'm excited to see him in person. Crossing my fingers he decides to stay.
