Have you guys seen that Switch are going to exhibit the new 64 cm girl body at an event in Korea? It’s so pretty!

 

I just saw it! It does look nice but I was personally hoping for a shorter girl body.

I am personally not particularly interested in the girls as I adore Switch pretty much exclusively for the boys xD But I hope people will enjoy the new body - 64cm is a great size!

Would anybody know if any of the clothing items and accessories that will be available at the event will also be sold online later on? I love the suits and jewellery ♡

Switch just tweeted that the girl body's order starts from 29th December!

 

Oof... I really like that silk shirt though. Fingers crossed for an online release, hopefully in different colours.

I guess I'll be continuing my search for a taller androgynous female body.

 

Did they? To me it looks the same as the type A body from the older photos but with heel legs. Maybe I'm missing something...

 

I agree. The girl body they are releasing now looks like the type A body. Type B is the more androgynous body and maybe they'll release that one later?

 

Even comparing it to the type A body to me the waist looks slimmer, and the hips curvier. The shoulders also look narrower, but that could be an angle thing. Both of the earlier bodies give me a more tomboyish feel, where as the current body feels more like the typical female body a lot companies are doing now. Now, maybe that was all just the lighting in the previous pictures hiding some details. Anyway, I asked them about it on Twitter.

 

I'm personally very happy for the girl body because I want it for hybrids with the few girls I own, but I feel bad for anyone disappointed from the last teaser.

I selfishly hope Switch doesn't lean towards girls too much, but it looks like they're exploring that. They're my favorite company and I only really collect boys and love them for their boys, so I hope they don't stray too much.

 

Switch finally got back to me and they said it's the same body as the Type A they showed before. Unfortunate for me (but good for my wallet I guess) since I really needed something different. Back to the search I go.

 

Hello! New to this thread and to SWITCH in general I just purchased an Ajeong Closer head in milktea rose and I'm wondering what company would have bodies that would be the best match colorwise? I'm hoping to find something not too overly muscular, but I figured it would be best to ask around as I'm new to the hobby and this will be my first boy doll ever.

 

@aoikoibito I have my rosy white AC head on a color matched DF-A 68cm body. I believe DF-A still does coloring matching requests for milk tea rose as well. Here's my Waseon on the left who also has the same body, and who's head is roughly the same size as AC's, DF-A & Migidoll 68cm Body Comp - Album on Imgur. I used to be in the BJD hobby over ten years ago. I have an OG Milhwa head I never had the funds to complete. Also, if I did decide to build it up, what bodies might still match the skin tone? Or should I look into doing some major shading to get it to match-ish?

@OliviaJ Welcome back to the board! I would suggest removing your first question because there's a rule against "asking for help pricing items for sale".

For your other question I have my Milhwa head on a DF-H 65cm body. I can't say how well they'd match with a 10 year old Switch head though. While they do offer color matching with Switch resin, it's all for Switch's current resin colors.

 

Hi! I'm thinking of getting a Dollstown 18yr boy body for my rosy white Doha. I was wondering if anyone's tried anything similar? The proportions look similar to the hd70 body, but the shoulders are slimmer... Thanks in advance for any help~

 

I'm very happy they finally released a girl body with a jointed torso .

Most likely I'll put one on order in January. Just have to get over that voice in my head telling me NS or WS bodies will inevitably show up second hand so patience might pay out . But I want their endeavour to get back into girls to be successfull.

 

I ended up ordering the 65 attractive body and it arrived today! It took less than a week to get here so I'm super surprised

I just put in an order for a HD64 girl body in powder beige .

Now let's hope my hybrid plans work out . The body is intended for a Volks NS with a very pink faceup. Too pink for a Volks NS body. So from my research it should work out.

Hi guys, any Rion owners here? I'm looking for a comparison of what he looks like with different eye sizes (12mm / 14mm / 16mm). I'd really appreciate any help!

 

I just saw the Feb heads, Kaien and Hwahui Hiver.. And they’re both really my type

 

I’m fighting my urge to buy Hwahui… This head is just too cute as both a girl and a boy!

 

Is it just me or does it look like they changed the eye spacing on Hwahui Hiver compared to original Hwahui? Hwahui's eyes look further apart which I always thought was kind of cute.

 

i think hiver is just a version that teeth part is not removable, which is similar to seolrok.
some korean doll owners have discussed switch said it is difficult to made removable teeth part.

 

Welp, I just fell hard for Hwahui Hiver. Debating if I truly want him and try to hybrid again.

 

Get him now if you want a milktea skin.

That skin colour may not be available in next release.

 

Kaien is going to release this week. I feel he is a younger version of taeo.
His head size is also a small one. Feel bitter as my collection are all B size.

 

I'm back to the hobby after super long hiatus by placing order a Kaien head .
I was so hyped because he looks like combination of Taeo and Waseon which are my favs.

Anyone have experience or reference of Switch bigger head on 73cm+ body to share? I'm going to make his figure like a ML in Korean webtoon with huge body, real big neck and wide as hell shoulder their 70 attractive body is just can't fulfill my greed.
I consider Idealian75, but it would be a lot of work to sand the neck, Dollits Dad70 is so cool but I'm afraid that it is the same proportion with Switch70.
Pls help!

 

Yup, switch head can fits on 11.2cm neck circumference. It will be a bump there if large then this size. Dad 70 is quite similar to attractive 70 on the width of shoulder, but idealian 75 show same range of figure.
These bodies are ranged above 18cm, you might need to search something more 19cm width

I just got the shipping notification for the HD64 body . And I am really glad I jumped on the first order period as the second one that was originally announced for March didn't happen.

I've searched the forum but can't seem to find and resin matches for Switch Milk Tea Rose.

Can anyone recommend any matches?

 

@chenedelic If you have your heart set on a body and head with smaller neck hole, you can try the 'hot water' method(aka boil the head) for it to fit instead of sanding. That is what I did to put my switch head on a dollshe 18m body. The biggest downside is mobility but at least it's reversible...

@Sasha of the Crows I especially like the torso and I'm happy they kept the female hands. The waist is so pretty like volk's sd16 girls I've never been keen on 'straight' legs though, so I'll have to stew on a decision to buy...

@eihpos29 A company that comes in that color is Vings. They have variety of resin colors. I also remember a lot of people saying that Doll Family can match if you ask them.

I ordered Kaien from Faithz with their faceup using layaway. Very excited to get him!

 

Dollits DAD light brown skin is compatible with milktea rose. I don't own one myself, only saw pictures on twitter.
I am not sure, but Luts might be another choice. Anyone has any experience with it?

 

The photos I posted earlier show Dollits Light Brown and Switch Milktea Rose skin from 2019 (Soseo head) and 2022 (Ryuzo head and HD70A body)! Light Brown seems a bit darker than Milktea Rose but a face-up will probably fix it.

 

Is anyone able to confirm whether or not the Labyrinth body is a replacement of the Type B body? Unlike the Type B prototype, the Labyrinth release is just the Type A body with a flat chest so it would be really disappointing if there isn't going to be a Type B release. I really liked the wider chest and waist measurements, but I might have to settle for Labyrinth if I have no other option.

 

@aestellica According to Switch this is the Type B body they showed two years ago. But checking the previous measurements of the Type A & B bodies against the ones listed for the Labyrinth and HD64 girl body the waist measurements are 1cm smaller for the current versions of the bodies. However, the shoulder measurements haven't changed. The Labyrinth body still has wider shoulders then the HD64 girl body similar to the Type B verses the Type A body.

Also, proves I wasn't crazy on the waists looking smaller. >_>

Yeah haha , I went through the same process of checking and even from the photos it's clear the chest and waist were wider (and the measurements in the prototype confirm that), and the joint for the Type B chest was also different from Type A (the arch is less dramatic than A), whereas now the chest joint is the same as the Type A joint.

Totally disappointed that Switch considers this the same body since the look is far less androgynous, but I guess I'll have to take what I can get in the end. Thanks for confirming this to me!

 

@aestellica You're welcome! But, yeah the body isn't going to work for the character I originally had in mind, but I do still like the body. I'm thinking of just getting it with the Huisa Direction head.

Does anyone have any recommendations for jointed hands that would work with the 65 attractive body in milktea rose? It doesn't seem like Switch sells them, so I assume another company makes them and color matches?

 

Would you all think a 65cm body be too weird for Kaien head?

 

On Switch's website, it lists their own 65cm bodies as compatible for Kaien, so I would assume it would look alright. Or were you thinking of a different company's 65cm body?

 

I was thinking of DFH actually! Most of my boys are 75cm and Kaien was supposed to be a shorter character.. but I’m worried 65cm would make him look like a bobble head and too small against the other boys.

 

I think he’s about the same size as Ryuzo/Doha? So he’ll probably look a bit funny on a 65 cm body. The shoulders might look a tad too narrow.

Sorry for the double post, but does anyone have any experiences with a 12cm neck? Kaien's (21cm) head was suggested a 11.2 cm neck.. Would 0.8cm be a big difference ;__;

Or would a 10.5cm neck be better?

If anyone has any reference photos, it'll be greatly appreciated!!

 

it depends on the neck hole design, usually i suggest to keep the tolerance at around +-0.5cm with official figure.
if the neck is larger than that hole, you will see a bump there.

Sorry if this has been asked before I searched but nothing came up
So I managed to find a mocha brown head I've been looking for a long time but the problem is I can't see mocha brown HD body as an option on the switch website... why is this? Is it a seasonal color? When should I expect to see it again? I'm not really a fan of hybriding.
