Hello! I just bought a secondhand Waseon head in Mocha Brown with (I think) custom faceup and am wondering about a body. He was produced in 2015. I like big bodies so I was looking at a 70cm body. I’m totally new to Switch so I have lots of questions. How often are bodies available? Would the mocha brown now match an older head? I also might try to dye a body but that’s a last resort since it would be my first time. I know some companies do color matching. Any advice?

 

I contact Switch to hopefully get an idea of the next time they would do a Mocha Brown release, and sadly the response was that they havent set the date for the next release and it may not even be this year I don't know how much an older mocha brown would differ from a newer release one, but companies that I know that will resin match to the switch mocha brown are DF-A and H and also Vings, you just need to contact the dealers for them and they can get it all sorted. I personally have a DF-A 75cm boy body on order with ACBJD in switch mocha brown, but I did also contact Stacy's Pink Ocean about Vings matching and they can also do it, and are actually releasing a new body in the next month or two.

Excited, my MB Yiho head shipped! When I ordered him I was meh on my MB Gyoha-M so I planned to steal his body, but an eye change and now I like him again so I may have to make them share until I can bring home another MB body.

I read on DK’s Twitter that Waseon is coming after Taeo and Lili! I hope it’s true. I’d love to get a Rosy White Waseon.

 

Omg I'm so pumped to hear this I was planning to order my Waseon's body in August, but have been internally grumbling over how long the wait for just a body was. Glad to see them growing to this point now!

 

He was on the Switch release map for this year so hopefully. I'd love a tan Waseon but they rarely seem to release tan options.

 

I think they will release him in RW, PB and MR, and I'm so torn! He is so pretty in all colours. I've also read on Twitter that there will be no more Mocha Brown dolls this year.

 

This means I can scoop up a RW body for a secondhand head I bought recently. Perfect!!

 

I just bought a MB Waseon head and he arrived today. I want him on a 70cm body so I will look into Vings as @hime nao suggested. He looks okay on my Loongsoul 73cm body but I would have to dye it and the head isn’t a perfect match to the neck (tends to tip forward).

If you don't mind me asking, what eye size is he wearing?

 

@Niel He’s wearing 12/5mm eyes but he also fit fine in 14/5mm eyes. He came with 12/6eyes but I prefer 5mm irises.

Hi guys! I'm looking for a body on the second hand market for a WS switch head (female)

Does Volks WS matches Switch's Rosy white skin tone?

If not are there any other WS bodies that are matching?

 

@Sewb Switch rosy white is more pinked toned while Volks white is more yellow/beige toned, so they're not a great match, although with a good faceup you could possible hide the mismatch some.

 

Switch Rosy White is supposed to be a good match with 2D Doll Normal Pink. Here's a comparison pic of some white skins of a few companies.

Switch Rosy White is a perfect match with Ramcube Peach White. I have both and the resin colour is basically identical. Ramcube only has one body though and it's a male body...

And I think Doll Family H does resin matching and already has samples of Switch Rosy White, so you just have to tell them that you want a body that matches Switch when you order.

 

Omg! So much has changed. My Waseon turned out to be a woman, not a boy. I located a Supia 65cm tan body secondhand and it arrived today. The color match is amazing. Here are photos. The wig is most likely temporary but she wanted it today.

Seeing lots of different body comparison pictures but cannot find any comparing size of 65cm with 60cm Switch Attractive bodies. Does anyone have any pics? Now I have my 65cm body it fits nicer with my new Hwayeon head and I was thinking about a 60cm body for my Ajeong as his head is so much smaller.

 

After a few short months as a floating head, my MTR Waseon now has a body (HMD 65) I'm so excited to have him whole and he's so beautiful that I literally can't stand it.

Introducing Gideon ! I really was undecided on his styling, but once I had him, it just happened. I always wanted a doll with a wine colored wig, and his Nuit faceup colors work perfectly for it.

 

Hello everyone ^-^ I need a little bit of help from experienced Switch owners!

I'm looking to purchase a Switch head from 2019 in "normal" - would anybody know if this resin tone from around that time is different from what is now "powder beige"?

The body I'm looking to purchase for the head is a powder beige body from 2022 and I'm just so unsure if the two will match >~<

there might be a slight difference since your head was made way back 2019. about the color, they just renamed their NS to powder beige.

 

@Sasha of the Crows The notice on their old website says that they changed the name but the colour is the same.

I had a faint memory that Switch indeed changed their "normal" resin tone at one point in time, so I was unsure if body and head would match but I'm glad they will!

what size of iris that will better fit any switch head that will look realistic?

Hey everyone! I have a quick question regarding Switch's mocha brown resin tone.

I heard from a friend that their MB resin tone did undergo a change in color for production, may I know which year that was and how the difference is like?

I'd also like to see photos of the comparison if possible. Trying to match a 2020 body and a 2021 head and I'm a little concerned about the resin match. Thanks in advance!

According to Switch, M size is around 8,5inch, and B size is around 9 inch.
I do not own Volks SD but I read their heads are around 23cm? If you are thinking about girls' wigs, I'm afraid you won't be able to use Switch wigs as they tend to be tight (at least that's how I feel usually). I tried Switch girls' wigs on Iplehouse SID and Fairlyland FeePle65 (they are around 21cm) and B tends to fit but sometimes its a miss...
As for boys' wigs, I tried to put B size on a 22cm circumference head and I couldn't push it on. Maybe I'm just simply clumsy. However, Switch boys' heads tend to be smaller than 22cm, so...

Oh, I just remembered! Switch sometimes sell girls' wigs in 10inch... I wonder if anyone has some experience with that? Maybe that would fit a volks sd??

Does anyone know when/how often/if ever SWITCH releases extra hands for sale? I really want a spare pair of hands for holding things, but I can't tell if their hands are just not offered anymore or are a sporadic offering ?

 

Extra parts like hands or horns are limited releases. This year Switch released Panthera, and last year there was Delicato. They seem to only be selling one type of hands a year.

 

I guess Rosy White Waseon is confirmed by boss-nim on Instagram? He'd look even more amazing in a hanbok tho.

Also, Switch post a "release schedule" every year, but it's so vague... This time it's a treasure map but I can't figure out half of the stuff on it. You can find it on the company's Twitter.

I just learned that Twins Day from the release schedule refers to Seolrok & Seolrok Somnia... I was hoping we'd see Mori & Ahi though... Maybe next year then.

 

wow they will release a waseon head,. i own a 2015 version. this new release it's not that different form the 2015 version right? like any new modification?

 

I don’t think Switch change anything in their molds. If they do, they give them new names like Damhyeon Crescent etc. It’s just a re-release of the same head. ^^

Hey folks, is this the place to ask a question about Ariadoll? I'll go ahead and ask anyway. (if I'm in the wrong thread please direct me to the correct one!)

I'm coming back to BJDs after a hiatus of almost 10 years (and discovered how much everything has changed)... IIRC, Ariadoll got folded into Switch/Humming Dolly quite a few years back. I'm trying to resin match a hybrid - been looking through the Photo Reference subforum and I'm pretty sure Ariadoll white skin (WS) is what I want. But I just want to check whether I can resin match to current-day Switch as well.

So... I'm wondering if Switch has changed its resin colours significantly over the years? How have the colour formulations altered with time?
Also, what is Switch's equivalent of Ariadoll WS - does it have a new name?

@aihre I doubt you'd be able to match current Switch rosy white with older Ariadoll white. I'd imagine that the Ariadoll body has naturally mellowed, and Switch has changed their white. They stopped selling their old white a few years ago and switched to what they call Rosy White.

 

Thanks @Cloudedmind - I wasn't sure if Switch's Rosy White was the same as Ariadoll white, so it's good to confirm that they're different.

 

I think I dropped this Q in the Loongsoul section but I'm curious if anyone has a Rosy White Switch and a Loongsoul White skin? I've been trying my luck if someone has both as I want to hybrid my pre-ordered Pavian head in RW to a Loongsoul body before attempting resin matching services.

 

@aki7 Here is a photo of a Rosy White Seolrok on a White LS 73 body. Not a good match unless body blushed, it seems.
