Supia Waiting Room v4!

May 24, 2018

    1. My ballerina body with the Dreaming Roda event head arrived today. I love the body, it is so detailed and flexable. I realized however how inexperienced I still am. She is rather floppy and I could not manage her to sit down properly for another photo. Maybe she also needs some sueding. I have no idea yet... Supia added some presents too, really nice of them. So, I am happy!!

    2. @Tureluur I have found that to get them to sit properly, you need to push the chest forwards

Here is a link to my site , it doesn't work well on the phone, just choose 'desktop version" according to your browser :)

    3. Thanks, @IngieBee! I saw your photos and that helped a lot. She is flexible, isn't she? Are you happy with her?

    4. Yes, I'm very happy with this body. I really like the 65 cm one as well. It's not perfect, mind you, and I don't think there is a perfect body, certainly not yet. But it's very flexible if you know how to move BJDs and her smaller size yet realistic proportions are a huge win for me :D

    5. Within the last few days, Supia had changed my order status to On Shipping. There is no shipping company or tracking number listed in the given fields, however. I'll be waiting anxiously for the next week or so.

Edit: According to email, it shipped last night via EMS, still no tracking no. though

    6. Finally! Your experience has been so stressful, I hope she makes it home quickly!

    7. So I'm still waiting for any changes in my order status although Supia replied to my question about shipping on QandA board some few weeks ago that the doll should be delivered around mid-February. I was a bit sceptical as I caught some mentions about sellers trying to calm down the buyers with false information like "I'm planning to ship your order next week"... And, it seems I was guessing it right. Had anyone else here ordered a tan resin doll from Supia in past few months?

    8. GREAT NEWS EVERYONE!! My minisup Hayul head made her way to my home today!! She's absolutely precious (I love her little teeth!) and I can't wait to work on her. Thank you all for joining me on this rollercoaster journey!!

    9. Whoops, sorry for the double post, but...

I can only tell you that their communication is not very good, but your doll will arrive...and be as pretty as pictured. They pack the boxes with freebies and apologetic treats, and are genuinely pleased to get a thank you if you're happy with your girl...so I think they're just a little overworked and slow, not at all intentionally evasive or dishonest.

    10. My Hael’s status has finally changed to ‘before shipping’. Wonder how long till she finally ships...

    11. How many of you ended up putting your Supias on sale? I keep seeing so many of them on Instagram's sales pages! And to be honest, I'm not sure about keeping mine either....
I was strongly considering getting a mature tiny when I was looking for my first BJD, but then convinced myself MSDs are better. Should have stuck with my gut, I guess, because I feel overwhelmed by their size.

    12. Awwww, sorry to hear that @Viridiansummer . I don't know what the percentage of people who sell their new dolls is, but many people do find they don't Bond and end up selling. But then again, I've only sold floating heads, and even that was excruciating. It's stupidly hard for me to sell a member of my crew!

    13. I just placed my first order with Supia. I fell in love with Juah's photos in the discount event they posted last month and had to order her. I can't wait to see her in light tan! I ordered the ballerina body for her, with faceup and wig/eyes.

    14. I love Juah, and still hope to get her some day. Can't wait to see yours! Please post pictures :)

    15. What is she? I'm kind of in love with supia's sculpts right now.

    16. I got her back from the face up artist and am in love with her. She is the most beautiful.
I hate how indecisive I am about this poor doll, I changed my feelings about her like five times at least.

    17. Oh, she's beautiful! I love her faceup!

    18. Hael has finally arrived. She ended up being shipped on 10 April and I got her today (16 April). There were delivery delays since it was the Easter holidays. Supia gave me high-heeled feet and a wig as gifts.

One strange thing is that if I go to Supia's site, her delivery date is marked '6 April 2020'... I'm not sure when that was added. Was that the day they had planned to ship her?? Anyway, she's arrived safely and was very well-packed, and that's all that matters.

    19. Please post photos!

    20. Congratulations, @namika yes, that's a language thing, I believe it's when they shipped all the time ( I remember that from my last shipment :) )

    21. Congratulations!
And... this makes me a bit sad, my Heeji which was ordered and paid in full in October last year has been on "before shipping" status for several long weeks and still nothing. Now it's due to the COVID situation but I'm getting the impression that I will never see her , the waiting is too long :atremblin

    22. I am in the same situation! But Supia has delivered, even though the waiting times are horrible. I am not really worried yet. Ordered my Hannah in October of last year as well and they told me they'd ship mid-March. Nothing as of yet! :sorry

    23. Well, that's a bit comforting that there are more of us. The manufacturer has replied to my questions although with a significant delay and promised they will ship as soon as it would be possible. Seems that to some countries there's no problem to ship from Korea but to the others it's being impossible. This is the longest waiting time for a doll ever, for me.

    24. I'm also waiting on a Supia Sara - no word at all as to when she'll be shipped, and I ordered her back in February I think, so I'll just keep waiting.

    25. I am still waiting to placed my order in december

    26. Joining this waiting room. I ordered two Minisups in two separate orders a few weeks ago. After reading everyone’s recent comments, I expect to be here for awhile. :sweat

    27. I just ordered a Supia Juah and it looks like I'll probably be here awhile.
Hopefully COVID-19 will slow down enough for Supia to catch up.

    28. Has anyone placed an order and tried to change it after? Is it possible?

    29. Well I did the thing. I am in yet another waiting room. I ordered Juah on the 60cm ballerina body in WS. Now the waiting. I've been waiting for my Dollshe dolls for over a year now, so if this is a shorter wait than them, I'll be good.

    30. Ordered a supia Jacob on May 11th and looks like i have a bit of a wait ahead, sadly

    31. My girl arrived today! AND OH MY STARS SHE'S BEAUTIFUL. She also shipped with a second head! I was so surprised! I think I got a tan Juah as well, who happens to be my other favourite sculpt! I need to go and thank Supia profusely - my beautiful girl and her sister arrived in absolutely perfect condition! I am so excited - I hope everyone gets their darlings soon!

    32. Congratulations! According to them there are still various countries that aren't accepting EMS but some are opening up. Nice to know there's some hope, though! :D

    35. supiadoll finally answered me on their QnA page! my hael should be ready to ship by the end of the month/early august :)

    36. That's great news! When did you order?

    37. may 17th

    38. Oooh, hopefully all goes well! If they stick to this schedule I should likely expect my girl end of August early September since I ordered June 15.

    39. sounds about right. it’s a shame supia’s been taking longer to ship dolls recently because of the whole covid thing :’)

    40. Yeah. . . but I've got a condo set up in the Dollshe waiting room since I've been living there since last April. . . so even a long time for Supia seems pretty short right now lol.

    41. oof god bless

      • x 1
    42. lol thanks. If all goes well with this order (Juah) I may have to get an Ariel as well. They've got such lovely faces 0__0. Also the bodies look like they're really nice, they have a good flow to them while remaining nice and posable.

    43. god juah is so beautiful i can’t with her lips. i fell in love with her sculpt after watching the amazing faceup done by xhanthi, one of my favorite artists ^^ i keep going back to their website to look at all the beautiful sculpts, especially the minisups. not a big fan of their bodies though

    44. I know she's SO gorgeous! I definitely wasn't planning on buying anything, but then I saw her and couldn't get that face out of my head. . . so I had to. That's the only way to get them to stop haunting you. Buy them.

    45. Well, Supia giving shipping estimates of end of July/ beginning of August for orders placed in May is especially interesting as there are still orders from March and April (maybe even longer?) that are unfullfilled. I just saw two new order status inquiries from around that time on the Q&A board. I hope she has been thinking carefully before making well-meant promises, so as not to put herself under too much pressure.

    46. that kinda sucks. also i didn’t know supia is the name of the owner :)

    47. @vegger Supia isn't the name of the owner, it's Yujin Kim, though she did refer to herself as "Supiamom" for a while, not sure if she still does that. But the sculptress is the company Supia pretty much, though she does use a casting service.

    48. Yeah, I've been waiting for my doll ordered in the October 2019... So, that's it. It really feels bitter reading about dolls ordered months later being already shipped out or even delivered.

    49. Hello, I just bought my first Supia girl body tonight, a double jointed 65 cm body in NS. Very excited!

    50. congrats @Mahgiep !!
Also, @Mandagore that is concerning but i hope everything goes smoothly for all of us from here on out

    51. May I ask what happened there? Did you talk to Supia about this? It just sounds way over the top going by the waitlist here, even for the current situation.

Can someone please check, maybe my laptop/ browser is malfunctioning?
I just went back to the Supia site Q&A board, and yesterday everything but the latest two messages had been answered by Supia, some just recently so. Today of all the questions on the first page of the list only four are having answers, all the others have none, and are marked as not having been read. Or am I remembering this wrong?*_*

    52. I guess I had bad luck. First, there were manufacturing problems with tan resin, or at least I was told so, so that the doll making took twice of the usual time. And once the doll was completed (or at least I was told that she was ready) the COVID situation arised. So no shipping to my country so far (a bit absurd taking into consideration that our country belongs to those least affected but it's a small country so it seems we are not that important as customers).

      • x 1
    53. I think Supia only ships via EMS, and the EMS situation depends on how many flights are currently going to your country? So perhaps being a small country, there are even less flights going there now as airlines are trying to cut costs?

    54. @Sillion I see. You could try and ask at your national post service what the shipping situation from Korea to your country is like these days? I'm in Europe too, and our national post has a site up with daily updates about international mail. We have been lucky though, apart from everything taking longer of course, there were always EMS shipments from South Korea to us, and DHL has always been available too, at a higher cost of course.

    55. Also waiting on a doll I ordered in October of 2019. I live in Sweden and according to Supia they weren't receiving EMS when I received the last update (May 9th). But now my job situation changed abruptly so I don't mind waiting a bit since there will be some costs when she arrives... :sweat

      • x 1
    56. @namika @Mandagore EMS to my country is still unavailable. And DHL is terribly expensive, I have another doll waiting in other company in MSD size and they told me that DHL shipping would cost 250 USD.
This waiting is frustrating but I admit that there are definitely worse things than that...
