Supia Waiting Room v4!

May 24, 2018

    1. I think they started answering on QnA board! I just hope they answer all of our questions!

Edit: They answered one(1) question. I'm not even mad, just disappointed.
Edit 2: I was so focused on the QnA that I forgot to check my order status and they changed it to before shipping! Feeling mighty stupid right now heheh.

    3. Yep, one question answered, and it had the word "pay" in the subject line. :|

    4. I paid my Nael today. Can I sit in this waiting room? Do you know how long it takes to produce and send a head only?

    5. It says 45 - 75 business days on the bottom of the page. +15 if order includes make up.

    6. Any word yet @celga ? I'm sorry it's not going well :(

      Of course, welcome @Arengil

    7. @IngieBee Nope, nothing at 100 days and counting. But I'm not really worried by the wait so much as I am by their poor customer service; really, that they only answered one question in three weeks is ridiculous. It feels very flaky to me. What a way to treat the people who keep your business going!

Honestly, though, I've waited far longer for a doll, and I've been in this hobby for so long that my patience level is pretty high, lol. I fully expect to receive my doll soon, but I may end up filing a PayPal claim right before the six month mark if I don't. I figure that it will either light a fire under their butts and get me my doll, or I'll get a refund. I want the doll more, but under current circumstances, I don't know if it's a good idea to let that particular window of opportunity close. The whole April Story fiasco has made me very wary of this kind of thing.

Sorry, I'm sure that's far more than you wanted to hear! Hopefully the new year will be a turning point, and everyone will start receiving dolls/answers this week or next!

    8. No, that's super informative and I am feeling lucky that I got my body now. There is an eb and flow to productivity with these doll companies, and it's good for people to know what's going on. I'm in need of another body myself, so I'm interested in seeing how they are doing. Chinese New Year will be another slow time too. Then in Summer we have monsoons, and they haven't got climate control in their studios apparently. Right now, since Fall, they play catch up.

All I can say is Ugh. :doh

    9. Oops, another week with nothing on the Q&A. Maybe someone should tell them that the A stands for Answer. :XD: I actually had a rather unimportant question up there, but I deleted it in case they might skip someone else's to answer mine...and there are clearly a few truly upset people waiting for answers.

@Arengil Thanks, and the same to you! :)

    10. Wow, I don't think this is normal. I hope this gets resolved soon!

    11. I know its probably early to be saying this, but I made a point to figure out both the date of the 75 business day for when my order for just a blank head should be ready, the date of the 170th day from my day of order placement... This lack of communication really has me anxious and if needed I want to know when to reach out to paypal... I much rather have my doll head though, so I hope this blows over soon :(

    12. I received my Eunice on Dec 6, a bit more than 5 months after ordering and the waiting time was absolutely okay for me. My problem is, she arrived without ears, neither human, nor elvish. I sent them an email the next day, but didn’t get an answer. And yes, I have checked my spam, because I previously received the shipping confirmation there. Two weeks later I left a message in the QnA section - still no answer there too. So it’s been a month now. I am actually a very patient person and I can wait more than an year for a doll. It’s just this bad service and uncertainty... it seems like no one gets even an answer and that I am not the only one, who misses parts.

    13. If I wait for the 170th day, which I intend to put off resorting to paypal until, I'll have waited five and a half months for just a doll head. That seems like a generous time to wait for a doll head, alone, and at that point if I haven't received some kind of communication with an order number (which I've said before that I don't have because I naively thought they'd send me one if I checked out as guest) I feel like being patient has its limits. I just want to be prepared eith the knowledge of that date, rather than it slipping past me and be able to do absolutely nothing.

At this current time, I'm two weeks on the Q&A board without reply and just over a month without reply to my two emails.

    14. :(

    15. It's been 150 for me and my order has be "On shipping" for like a month now. My question has been up there for basically a month now haha.

    16. Sigh. I put a new question on the Q&A, this time asking for an update, since I ordered my doll on August 12, and she has been on 'before shipping' for a ridiculously long time. I figure that if I have to resort to a PayPal dispute, I should have at least made an effort to contact them first. I don't really like doing it, because I truly believe that they have just fallen behind and all dolls will arrive eventually...although the saga of the missing ears is rather disturbing. This is all so silly! I don't mind waiting a long time for a doll, I'm just nervous because they don't seem to be shipping much these days (has anyone gotten anything since early December?), apparently they're messing up orders, and they staunchly refuse to update the Q&A. The lack of response to emails doesn't surprise me, though - a lot of doll companies pretty much ignore those. :sweat

    17. Me. My order got shipped the 19th. Never got an answer on the Q&A. Thing is, they didn't provide a tracking number, so I left another message on the Q&A asking for it on the 20th (as a response to my same own original message) because I like to know when my packages are coming in case the post leaves it with a neighbour (thing I absolutely hate). They wrote the tracking number on my order details a day after I actually received the doll, it arrived surprisingly fast (received her the 23rd), what leads me to believe they do read the Q&A, they just don't answer.
They also sent me an event head that doesn't match the resin of the body, nor it's the sculpt advertised on the event page. I can't complain in a way but still.
I don't personally mind waiting for months for a doll (I've had many experiences of delays and so on), as long as there is communication. Supia clearly fails in this regard and that's pretty much a deal-breaker for me if I ever think about purchasing from them again in the future. Hopefully they change this soon.

    18. Ouch. I don't know whether to be thrilled that dolls are still shipping, or concerned by the rather sloppy shipping tactics. The whole event head thing is just bewildering, and I'm starting to wonder if maybe they lost an employee who kept things organized. The real question is, were you happy with your doll when it arrived? That's pretty much the bottom line for me.

    19. Supia Sarah was next on my to buy list, but after reading this thread I’m having second thoughts :frownyblush:

    20. This is the time when Supia team is super busy with their Spring events in their country. I'm sure they'll get back to us eventually. I always have to wait for a while when I order something in December-January. They'll be much better after the Lunar New Year :)

Waiting for my 2nd Haeun with the Diva Red faceup and Ballerina body ^^

    21. I do hope you're right! :) But since I ordered at the start of August, I don't think the spring events had much of an impact. Plus...a doll with no ears, not even one of the two pairs? Pretty slipshod. And yeah, a full month with only one response on the Q&A is starting to feel downright ridiculous. :sweat

    22. Supia has posted 10 replies to the QnA board! Mine was not one of them to get a reply but its nice to see at least some customers are getting replies

    23. They didn't answer the oldest questions, and they skipped over a lot in between...but they did respond to mine, which makes me unhappy for the people who are still waiting, because it wasn't nearly as important as some - like yours @dancingkitsune - and I only posted it five days ago. I just don't get it, except they told me that my doll will be shipping soon - so maybe they only answered if there was news to report.

...I really hope she has ears. :sweat

      • x 1
    24. They answered mine as well - I honestly thought she'd just turn up one day without any updates whatsoever. :XD:

    25. I hope it's not the Waiting for Godot... (or without the ears)

    26. Ordered a minisup Hannah the 17th of october 2019. Honestly, I don't mind waiting a long time, but the lack of updates is reeeally nerve-wrecking. It says "Money Transfer received" which is great an all but... Does that mean they've started making her? Or...? Sent an e-mail and am not very hopeful to get an answer. :shudder

    27. I ordered her. Even though I’m a bit nervous, Sarah has been like #1 on my wishlist for awhile. I just kept putting it off :XD:

    28. Pretty sure @IngieBee told me that that's what it will say until it moves on to 'before shipping', so you'll be seeing it there for months. (And as far as I can tell they never answer emails, but they do get around to answering the Q&A sometimes - so you might want to try posting there if you have questions.)

      • x 1
    29. Thank you! I’ll keep that in mind.

    30. Me again :) Supia promised to ship on the 14th but never sent a tracking number. We are on a vacation now, but my husband’s ex wife visits the cat twice a day, so she said, a notice card from DHL express has arrived on the 18th and sent us the parcel number. After that we could redirect the shipping online to his work place and a colleague of him received and opened the package. He sent us a picture with the both missing ear pairs. :celebrate:cheer:dance Everything is fine!

    31. That's great news, congrats! (I do wish they'd give tracking numbers, though - just wondering whether everything is okay and not knowing if a shipment has been lost in transit is kind of stressful.)

      • x 1
    32. @celga once the package was shipped, you can see the tracking number in the order sheet information. And I also received the shipping notice for my order per mail, but it was in the spam. So there was no tracking number only for the ears, but I had one for the doll itself.

    33. Maybe I was just unlucky, but the tracking number for my doll that was supposed to have been shipped last week is not on the order sheet, and it wasn't in the notification email, either. The space for the number is there, but nothing is written. :huh?: I'm just keeping my fingers crossed right now.

    34. :huh?: both of my packages arrived destination country in 2 days, but I had to pick up the doll from the customs. I’ll cross my fingers for you too!

    35. Yes, that's why I'm stressed - dolls usually only take three days to get to me from Korea, including the trip through customs...and knowing that Supia can take weeks to respond to queries isn't helping. Thanks for the kind thoughts! Hopefully she'll show up today.:)

    36. Sorry for the double post, but she arrived today. My idiot postman dropped her off on the front stoop in the below freezing temperature while I was at work, because apparently he was too lazy to put her back in the truck even though the shipment required a signature. The last time this happened, someone stole the box right off the stoop with two dolls inside, so I should count myself lucky, I guess. I don't know how many hours she was out there (guessing about five or six), so I'm bringing the whole thing up to room temperature before I open it...and just hoping that there is no long term damage to the resin from being frozen. I am so upset right now, it's hard to get excited about my new girl. :...(

    37. My Dorothy shipped yesterday! I really, really hope I fall in love with her upon arrival, because I'm kind of over her. I keep entertaining the thought of selling her and buying MYOU and Doll Leaves dolls instead.

    38. Well, I can only give you my take on it after being in a similar situation. I was feeling kind of glum and worried about not liking my Noa anymore, but I opened the box tonight and she is just lovely - and I was happy to see that her faceup is almost the same as the promo pics. (And all four ears are present and accounted for!) The body is graceful and poses beautifully, with a thigh joint that is different from any of my other dolls, but works very well. She is also strung perfectly, which is a pretty rare experience for me...not too tight and not too loose. Plus, Supia showered me with little gifts! The only thing that I ordered with her was a simple tutu, but they added an adorable pair of toe shoes, a necklace, and this leotard, which is actually much prettier in person, since it has straps that can snap on, and tiny bows and pearls on the leotard at the point where they connect. Plus...a boatload of snacks, lol. Overall I am very happy with her, and I think that she'll probably find a permanent home with my crew. I hope that holding and dressing your girl will give you the same renewed interest that I found in mine. :)

    39. Congratulations, @Viridiansummer. But I don't understand, looks like you ordered 4 months ago, and that is average time for a doll? I have an Impldoll order that is 5 months old. Impldoll never took so long before, but that's how it goes in this business :huh?:

Congratulations to you as well, @celga :thumbup

    40. Yeah, I know... I think it might be the fact that I'm worried she may not fit with the rest of my dolls. I spent some time thinking about her yesterday and decided I'll probably keep her.

    42. Hi everyone! I ordered a blank doll from Supia on October 9, 2019, still waiting. No response from them to my inquiries by e-mail and on their Q and A board as well. But I told myself to be patient... Meanwhile, what makes me nervous is when I checked inquiries on the QnA board from other customers which are unlocked (as mine, don't know why) and found that there are some of them waiting since April 2019! Is this their usual practice?

    43. @Sillion I'd say it's not "their usual practice" - I think those are unusual cases, but of course they're the ones you're likely to see on the board because they're justifiably frustrated. Most people don't post there, since they have no reason to. My girl took five months, and she was not blank. Not a bad wait time, only made irritating by the fact that Supia is awful about communicating with customers. I believe that @Viridiansummer's doll was blank, and she got her shipping notice at four months, so I expect you won't be waiting much more than a month or two more...and btw, Supia is really generous with little added gifts. :)

    44. @celga Thank you for the experience, it's calming :-) I was told Supia were reliable manufacturer so I went for their doll eventually but lately, I was wondering what's going on... I can't wait to have her home.

    45. I saw someone on the QnA board post that they checked out as guest and had an order number. I won't lie, I'm quite envious and wish I could ask that person how they have an order number. It makes me wonder and I wish they would just reply to my QnA post requesting my own order number.

    46. @dancingkitsune Honestly, at this point I would just go back to the Q&A and ask again. Obviously I don't know for sure, but given their history of poor communication, I doubt they'll go back and answer a question that's that old - especially since they skipped over it in the first place.

    47. @celga okay so I was going to post again later this afternoon, like you suggested, but finally received an answer to my QnA with a order number AND the news that my order will ship next week! This is such a relief *_*

    48. ...jokes on me they have my address as Alabama and not Pennsylvania asdfghhjkl god I hope they read the QnA board more often than they reply to it because I just posted notifying them of the mistake

    49. Ack! I don't know whether to say yay and congrats, or oh no, how awful!! How do you know that your address is wrong if the order is not attached to your account - and how did they get the wrong address in the first place?

    50. They finally replied to my QnA and gave me my order number, so I checked through that (you need your first/last name, email, order number) and saw my address is all correct with the exception of the state on both the billing and delivery information. I could understand if I hit like, Rhode Island or Puerto Rico for one of them in the drop down but Alabama for both? There had to have been a glitch when I submitted my order. I was able to update the delivery information to the correct state but still left up my QnA notification to make sure they were aware that Pennsylvania is the correct state for my address

    51. My Dorothy got held up in customs :...(

    52. @dancingkitsune Did you finally receive your package? I think, they read the QnA. They responded to me regarding the missing ears and told me, they will send the elf ears very soon. The answer was very kind and they apologized for that. But I was missing both ear pairs, human and elvish, so I wrote a Q again, hoping they will respond to it before shipping. I became an answer three weeks later and the ears had already arrived - both pair! So that’s why I’m thinking, they read the QnA, just need longer for answering.

    53. @quake Right now the status is still on "money transfer received" so I don't believe they've shipped but I could be wrong

    54. Hi, I got my QnA board response too saying that manufacture of light tan dolls was delayed due to some troubles and I could expect the shipping by the mid-February. Well, we'll see...

    55. That does sound like some kind of a site glitch, doesn't it. I'd hope that creating the shipping label would be the last step before sending out your package, so hopefully you managed to change the information before they filled it out.

I think they're a little random about updating status. Mine was on 'before shipping' for over a month, and yours hasn't updated to that even though your girl is supposed to ship this week. So yeah, I'm not sure whether or not you can trust it as an indicator for when she actually ships.

    56. I also received an EMS tracking number but until now it is still "number cannot be found". Is this normal for Supia, give a tracking number but not actually sending yet? Is this what you meant in your last post @celga?

    57. @Tureluur No, in my case there was no tracking number that was given too early (in fact, they forgot to give it to me at all), but rather they changed my order to before shipping, which they apparently do when the doll will be sent in a week or so...but then they didn't ship her for at least two more months.

    58. I received my Dorothy last week after having to pay 96€ of custom's fees and I'm having mixed feelings about her.

She's an engineering marvel and makes my Doll Leaves girl who I thought was fantastic look like a floppy mess.On the other hand, she's super wide compared to my other two dolls and her head is quite small. What bothers me the most is the fact she can't slouch forward and extremely pronounced forehead ridge I somehow missed in the company photos.
I think I'm going to keep her, but honestly, if someone offered me a trade for a Doll leaves girl with a nice face up, I'd probably do it...

Edit: I spent some time just now trying to decide what kind of eyebrow colour she should have, trying on different wigs, and I got this intense giddy feeling! I think I might fall in love with her yet! :XD::D
