Supia Waiting Room v4!

    1. I actually didn't know there was a dealer that Supia worked with! But anyways, dealers have methods which could delay the order as well. Things like waiting until they have a minimum numbers of orders, so they can get shipping in larger, more efficient and less costly batches. I always get at least a small delay on my order if I go through a dealer. Denver doll Emporium used to do this, and still may, and with them it was like an extra month or more, or it seemed. Shipping was cheaper though. I usually go through a dealer if they offer free shipping, or something to make it worth my while, or I go through the manufacturer.

      Another thing that has happened to me, but the company didn't admit it - they never admit mistakes like this, which is weird, because I think most of us would just go "ugh, ok" - is they completely forgot my order. Since then, I Contact them regarding my order after some time. This causes them to have to find my order ... Which means they have it. This usually comes naturally (that is, I don't need to find an excuse) because there's always something I forgot, LOL

      BUT, this misplaced order happened back in the early days. Websites have gotten a lot better since those days, and they have tools to keep track. My point is, it shouldn't be a bother if you check on your order, don't be afraid to contact the seller. That's what they are there for :)

    4. So as of Oct 2nd Iris at FabricFriends contacted Supia weeks before and they said they were getting ready to ship and would have a tracking number. Well, no shipping yet, and they haven't answered her after waiting another week, with no tracking number in sight.

      I really wanted to order a Hannah, but if this is the type of customer service I can expect, then I won't be ordering anymore. I did the whole, wait and lie, thing with Dollshe. Never thought I'd have to do it again with another company.:|

      Has Supia always been this flaky?
       
    5. @Senko oh poop, I'm so sorry. I have not had too bad an experience with Supia myself but it's been a couple of years since I've ordered from them. My issue with them, and a warning to anyone who wants to use layaway, was I put a doll on layaway only to find out they won't even start the doll (or the wait time) until after you finish paying! What is the point of layaway if your doll still takes 4 month to ship after last payment?

      Anyway, I'm duly worried about my order now. It is awful when a company or cultural difference feels deceit is the way to handle a screw up, when it's so much better to explain honestly 'we misplaced your order and will hurry to get it to you'

      I swear companies have lost my orders in the past, but most of them are more sophisticated and use software now a days, which has reduced the incidences.
       
    6. Well, I gave in and left a message on Supia's q&a board and they answered. They said my Juah should ship on Tuesday. We'll see.:huh?:

    8. It's been almost a month since I ordered my doll and the order status has been "money transfer received" the whole time.
      Is this normal? I'm getting worried!

Yup, that's normal, and I believe the quickest turn around I've seen is 3 months, 4 months is kind of average, but can sometimes take much longer during bad weather which usually happens in summer / monsoon season as the humidity effects the resin as well as the faceup paint. Then I figure delays bleed into the fall as they play catch up???

    10. My Sujin arrived home last week. She has completely different eyebrows to her picture but I've grown to like them :P. Just waiting on a wig for her.

      Well, Tuesday came and went and there’s been no message from my dealer and nothing further in my Supia Q&A post. I wish I could just forget about my order and just be surprised when it shows up. :sigh

      On the plus side I was able to snag a pair of heel feet from the mp in the light tan. I completely forgot to order them with my Juah so at least I won’t have to do another round of waiting for those.
       
    12. Oh man, that sucks, @Senko . I don't know what to say, except to be self centered and say I hope she comes soon and that you post a lot of pictures because Juah is my favorite! Really sorry this is such a bad experience :(

    15. @Jupeycat I checked the thread this morning. She's so cute! I love her in the little bob style wig too.

      I got an email from the dealer, and they've been unsuccessfully trying to contact Supia for the last two months. So, I posted on Supia's board again. we'll see what they say this time, but I'm expecting a bunch of nothing again.
       
    16. Thanks, I'm not really happy with how the fringe sits so I've ordered another wig :P. Do you think they've given her the wrong face up? I ordered the normal one but I don't think it looks similar... it looks more like the diva red one to me.

      I really hope your order gets sorted out. Maybe they shouldn't have dealers if they can't keep up with the orders they get from them.

      i've bought a blank zion head from supia in august. they did tell me that they'd try to send them out by mid october - end of october (a̶ ̶w̶h̶i̶t̶e̶ ̶l̶i̶e̶ )

      but i'm still waiting on it till now. i've sent them a message on their message board they have not replied to me and i'm kinda anxious now lol

      has anyone of you ordered a blank head from them? if yes, how long did you have to wait ; v;
       
    18. Supia finally answered my question on their Q&A board. According to them, they'd damaged my original order and had to remake it. They said they sent a package to the dealer, so I guess I'll see if I get an email sometime in the next two weeks about it.

      @bulgolgi if you haven't already, you might want to check their board now. Looks like they've started responding to people again.

    20. Wow, I didn't get notifications on this thread and am late to the drama! I'm sorry you all had to deal with so much uncertainty and hope everyone gets their orders soon??!!

      I came in because my order changed to 'before shipping' which usually means it should ship soon, up to about a week or so??? :dance:cheer:celebrate:dance

I haven't looked at my order since I placed it in August, and I pretty much figured I wouldn't see my girl until December or January - but when I looked this morning for the first time, the status was 'before shipping'. I kind of figured that was their code for the whole waiting period until it changes to 'shipping'...but it really means that she'll be home soon? *_*

    23. Oh, dear. I thought I had more time. My poor girl will have no eyes, no hair, no shoes, and her only article of clothing will be a tutu skirt. I'm afraid she'd fit in nicely at the hotel from The Shining. :sweat I must shop.

    24. Terrifying? How can you make a Supiadoll terrifying?!?!?! LOL, Mine is only a body for a head I'm hoping it will match, LOL. And of course, with getting a body during an event, I got a head too :doh. Thus, I didn't manage to reduce the floating head population:lol:
       
    25. Supia confirmed my order will be delayed after I message them last month. Yesterday my status changed to “before shipping” I hope it would only take a week to change to “shipped” :eusa_pray

    26. I know two months isn't long at all, but I'm still kind of starting to regret ordering my Dorothy. I was worried that this might happen. I just wish I researched the market better and wasn't so impulsive. There's a doll I like much better that I only discovered a month or so ago (Withdoll Olivia).

      I'll be getting Olivia for sure, with a company face-up because I love it, which means that my plans of having realistic face-up by Paulie Ann on Dorothy have changed. It would look weird, one doll with a simple face-up and one with hyper realistic one.
      I was thinking of trying to add spring pink make up to my order so I won't have to deal with searching for another face-up artist and most importantly, she'll arrive complete.

      EDIT: Never mind, the more I read on Olivia, the less I liked her. The good news is that I no longer regret purchasing Dorothy. Yaay!
      Might still try to add the spring pink make up on Dorothy, don't know yet.

    31. Ok, so Supia said that they'd sent my doll to Fabric and Friends on Nov 6. I still haven't heard anything so I checked in with Iris at F&F and she hasn't had any contact with Supia at all in a while. They seem to be ignoring all of her messages. Posted on the Supia q&a board again, but it looks like they're taking a while to respond there again too.

      Has anyone who ordered in April or after received their dolls?
       
    32. Hi, I just got my Ballerina Body from Supia today, order from June. However it was a blank doll therefore not much to be done before sending out.

      did you order with any face-up or blushing ? Cause my previous order had those services and it took forever!

    34. *Sigh* 70+ business days...which is fine, but I'm afraid she's going to arrive in December, our idiot postman will drop her on the front stoop without waiting for a signature, and someone will steal her because it's the season for people to do that. (Well, probably not, but It happened to me with a pair of Luts dolls before, so I'm extremely paranoid and starting to stress out about it. :XD:)

      Can someone please tell me what and when the event head was/happened? Was it a a 'buy a body, get a head' or 'buy over x$, get a head'? I feel like I missed something by a few days. Not that I mind, because floating heads truly annoy the retentive part of me that needs everything to be in large part whole...but I'm curious.

    38. Supia answered their Q&A board again. They sent out my doll to the dealer on Monday. I checked the tracking number and it arrived, and the dealer contacted me about it. Going to update the list to show the shipping time from Supia to the dealer and not to me.
       
    39. Congratulations, @Senko :dance traditionally, you'd update with dealer shipping, because anything before that would traditionally not be seen by the customer, but of course you can do it as you like :thumbup (man that sounds persnickety, not meant to, LOL)

      My shipment is stuck in customs, I suspect because of the US Thanksgiving holiday :vein. Aftership says they tried to deliver but failed, and USPS says they have not gotten it yet, so this can only mean customs isn't open for business.:doh
       
    40. Normally I would update with the shipping from the dealer, but because of all the delays and issues with Supia this year I thought it better to show the exact time frame of my order's progress.

      Hopefully you'll get your package on Monday. I always find post to be extra slow right after Thanksgiving.

    42. Wow, this morning, the mail lady delivered my ballerina body! It still doesn't show up on tracking and still says 'failed to deliver' on aftership tracking. Looks like tracking is drunk from too much holiday punch! Or eggnog :lol:

      I have not had the chance to open the box, and can't wait to see it!

    44. Its my first time ordering directly from a company. I ordered my MiniSup Hayul head on the 8th and paid through paypal, but only received an email confirmation from paypal so far? No email from Supia yet. Its been a few days now. Is that normal?
       
    45. @dancingkitsune I never get any email from them. If you log in and check your order status (link is at the top of every page), you'll be able to make sure that your payment has been received. :thumbup

    48. Well, @Viridiansummer , I ordered 20 days before you, no Faceup, and received shipping notice 19 days ago.... Which means, if all things were perfect, you should hear something any in the next few days, I think. But of course it's never so simple, is it :huh?:. I have another order that people who ordered a month after j did, and already got their shipping notices :vein ugh! Anyways, I just wrote to them inquiring, because I've had my order forgotten before, so I don't wait too long to make a polite inquiry as sometimes mistakes happen (not in a long time though, more like 10+ years ago). In this particular order, I have a Faceup and custom size clothing, either of which could slow my order down.... So, I have to wait till Monday to see if I get an answer :doh

They haven't replied anything on their QnA since around the 8th, I asked that same day on there about my order after sending a couple of emails weeks ago (politely asking about the status of my order since it had been stuck in "before shipping" for weeks) with no reply. I can only say at this point their communication and general customer service is awful.
      The fact that there is a message from a dealer on their QnA asking for updates on orders, saying about the lack of communication and asking for refunds doesn't fill me with much hope.
       
    50. @Viridiansummer It's been ninety business days for me, and mine changed to 'before shipping' at least a month ago...but it still hasn't shipped. I'd say don't worry - they have not forgotten you and are not bypassing your order to work on others. There are definitely people who have been waiting far longer than you. :thumbup

    51. I'm not trying to make excuses for these companies, just trying to give you a little peace of mind. Sometimes the people running these companies can't speak any English, and have a friend or family member help answer questions when they visit. This makes answers really slow to get. I just got an answer back from my dealer regarding a doll order, where people have already gotten their orders who ordered after me, and they said it would be another month. Frankly, I think the doll maker misplaced my order and needs the time to whip it up for me :doh. This one is a Chinese company, and I don't think they use any management software. At this scale, it's just too easy to loose track and it's been something we all have to deal with every time we order a doll :vein I think you've done all you can and hopefully you will get an answer soon:eusa_pray

    52. I think it's pretty clear from the Q&A board that Supia is having trouble delivering in a timely manner. It would be a lot less stressful for them and their customers if they would put a more realistic wait time on all of their pages, instead of the '45 - 60 business days + 10 - 15 with faceup' that is still listed for a lot of their dolls. The '45 - 90 business days' that others have may still not hit the mark, but at least it keeps people from starting to stress out too soon. I'm not going to start worrying unless it reaches the six month mark...but even then, I'll just be glad it's not Dollshe. :sweat

    55. That's the problem, I stupidly checked out as guest thinking I would get a confirmation email from Supia with an order number. So I have no way currently of checking on my order. I tried emailing them with my paypal transaction number, asking for the corresponding order number, but they haven't replied yet. I understand it might take some time to get back to me, but until they do I'll be nervous.
       
    56. Oh dear, I can see why it's an issue! I hope they get back to you soon - I would post on the Q&A as well as having emailed them directly. It's been quite awhile since they answered any questions on the Q&A, so I expect it won't be too much longer before they get back to it again. I have no idea how long it takes them to answer emails.
