Supia Waiting Room v4!

So while first researching bjds (I'm a newbie) I came across the phrase "grail doll" but I never really understood it, I liked lots of doll sculpts but didn't think any of them as a grail doll.....

WELL...I discovered Supia after following @Kohaku.creations on Instagram and omg I am so in love with supia rosey! I felt like I actually NEED her she is so beautiful and fits my character idea so well. I never planned on having a doll bigger than MSD but the rosey sculpt changes everything

I put my order in today, 6 month layaway but it will be worth the wait

 

In case anyone is interested, I have a brand new Supia body looking for a new home (I put my Rosy head on another body).

Omg, rosy is just such a beautiful sculpt. I would get her in a heartbeat if she had elf ears.

My tan Minisup I ordered at the beginning of May finally switched over to the “before shipping” status!

 

My juah and haeun order just shifted to 'before shipping.' * u *
I ordered them and paid in full on Aug. 8th with faceups, fyi.

unfortunately my girl is still stuck in the “before shipping” status, 10 days later. lol. I’m fine waiting, though, since I just got a different doll in the mail today. She’ll keep me well occupied.

My status just changed to "on shipping!"

 

@DawnDusk it just switched to “on shipping” today, and I got an email saying it was shipped. Tracking hasn’t updated yet, but yay! So excited to finally be getting her!!

hey all! i’m wondering what the wait times are looking to be, as of lately? i’ve seen some relatively quick and others like a year long. i just bought my first bjd and i’m so excited to get her that i check my email everyday, even when i just purchased her a little over a week ago lol

 

Well my 65cm body arrived in New York this morning. I ordered it 7/8/20. But it was just a headless body so I'm not sure that helps.

 

I ordered a tan Minisup at the beginning of May and she also just arrived into NYC. It says she’ll be here by Tuesday.

 

Also, traditionally things take longer in the summer due to it being Monsoon season who's humidity effects the resin as well as faceups. We're in a better time of year for that now, but then the holidays .... LOL So SOMETIMES, if you hit it just right it can take 3-4 months, but ... plague and all, probably longer now

It'll fly, just don't put it on layaway, they don't start until layaway is complete, in which case .... why do it? LOL

 

true! i paid in full a lil over a week ago, so hopefully it’ll be soon... here’s to wishing

 

That's probably good timing I'll bet you'll get it by January (at least I'm sending quickening thought vibes for your doll )

 

I ordered 2 full dolls (one tan) with face ups on 8/8 and paid in full. My order transitioned to 'before shipping' on 11/6. I'm still waiting for them to ship atm.

My body arrived today with a gift wig. Can I post a hybrid here?

I bit the bullet today.

 

Okay, so I got a tracking number on the 23rd and by the 24th, they'd hit the US! I got them today (the characters went and swapped molds on me, but that's okay). Plum is my NS haeun, and Thistle turned out to be my tan Juah. They are in perfect condition, beautiful face ups, and they were packaged expertly. I'll post some pics soon!

I thought long and hard about it, and finally decided to take the plunge. I ordered a Eunice on the Ballerina body!

 

Oh wow, I look forward to seeing her, @QAJenova . My daughter has a white resin Eunice on the old single jointed body. Aside from the white Rhoda I just got with a body (and plan on blushing to the color of whatever body I end up getting her ) I never had a white doll before (oh, I have some heads that I've blushed to match other bodies) My daughter really likes her, but such white skin isn't my thing LOL But she is supposed to be an ethereal being so I guess that works?!?!?! I've often wondered what she'd be like in normal or tan, which are you getting?

 

Thank you, @IngieBee ! I ordered her in normal skin- while I absolutely adore tan skin, unfortunately that doesn't seem to be an option for Eunice? White skin also usually isn't my cup of tea, though it looks outstanding in photos.

 

It's so sad that tan costs so much I only have a few darker resin dolls and they're mostly from Chinese companies that don't charge as much. Thank goodness for them, or my dolls would be so boring!

 

Hello all, I ordered my first Supiadoll (Noa) on Nov 25 but I just realized I never got an order confirmation from them (just from PayPal) is this normal? :O

 

I don't think I got an order confirmation from Supia until a few weeks after I'd submitted the order (the Paypal confirmation was quick though).

 

@Nefla I can confirm that Supia's communication is lacking I don't recall an email from them ever, and I'm not sure if I got shipping notification through email either, but it's been a while. I may only have had my own watchful eye on my account with them. Small companies often mean not enough people for clerical, I think (though in the USA, that would be priority, and you'd get a part time student to cover that at minimum)

BTW: one of my/our dearest family members is from Korea and when I talk about my hobby to her, and ask her about how these companies function, she says that would be unacceptable in Korea as well as here, so I have to guess, because I can't stop myself from speculating, LOL, that when you're dealing with artistic people, anxiety and dislike of dealing with the business side of things is at play,. and that's why it seems sort of universal in this space But I can totally relate being dysfunctional myself, LOL.

Thing is, you gotta recognize your strengths and get someone with opposite strengths to help you! Ugh, LOL

 

Check your spam folder as well, for some reason my emails from Supia always land there.

Joining this room at last! I don't purchase new dolls often, but I've been wanting a Supia Juah for absolute ages and just ordered one today on the 60cm ballerina body. She was the only doll left on my actual wishlist. I feel a sense of happiness and peace. The real icing on the cake will be if she arrives by my birthday (end of May), but I'm really just so stoked she's finally coming home!

 

Ahh my birthday is in May too, I'm hoping I get my Supia Rosey in April/May Juha is a beautiful sculpt too!
