Supia (MiniSup) Mini Discussion Part 1

Decided to take a few quick photos of my Yan being adorable. :3 I've had her since January, yet I still keep finding new things that make me love her even more.






I like the lighting in these photos... It somehow reminds me of the Renaissance era.

 

I'm not sure if I like her better as a blond or brunette.

Both of them seem to have a bar, very close in size. If you don't have one, you could use a nail, I think. Yisol appears to have an S-hook, whereas Limho's cords run directly through the bar.

 

Thanks a zillion, just exactly what I needed to see! I have the bar thing on my Limhwa head system and can add the ring to the elastic now to thread the bar through! Sure like the slide off face-plate system the best for easy access to the eyes!

I put wires in my Chloe. I put them in her arms too because her arms wanted to "point up" all the time. The ones in her legs really help her to stand.

You get her to pose so well! She must be strung really good. My Chloe is very "floppy" & she's fallen apart twice! I'm afraid to move her head too much because that seems to make her fall apart. My dh & I put her back together. But I'm afraid too much of that could really break her.

What Size Wig does the Mini Supia's take? I am wondering, So i could possibly order one for my girl.

I used to have a Boding Boding Alice, extremely white-white skin. She was difficult to photograph, yes, but not awful by any means. I don't think the Beauty White Supia's are quite that white, though.

Will the tanning color be available later on as well? Right now it's not even on the drop down menu on the Supia website (or is it just because they just closed the ordering period?).

Lovely dress for a lovely Yisol ! Your Yisol looks so cute lovely wig, is her wig a tinybear cinnamon swirl ? I wanted to order her but sadly have to wait till next order period because I was able to "adopt" a lovely Unoa Sist, so piggy bank is a little empty !! I guess the next order period will be in a week or 6 around july 1st ?? Is that correct. Meanwhile I just come back on this thread to admire the beautiful yan's an yisol's.

 

Wasn't sure if it was cinnamon swirl or one of the valentine special colors. It is pale yellow with black cherry tips. As far as ordering she opens it up when the last order ships. It take about two months to get the doll. Hope this helps. Thanks for the wonderful comments. Kim

 

The tinybear wig looks good on her! That makes me excited since I ordered two wigs from tinybear for my Yisol when she comes in. Love the outfit too!

Hey guys - I havent been by in AGES! I have been avoiding DOA because i will be tempted by dolls or doll clothes or SOMETHING and i am trying to save to go overseas.

If people read back through the thread they might have seen my lil drama with ordering the wrong doll in November and having to order another one.

Well I love my lil Yisol now that i finallyhave her (though I still cant decide on a name for her...but I have taken AGES to name all my dolls so thats not odd. My big Narae was nameless for AGES!). I have put all my other dolls away and my Yisol is the only one who sits in my room keeping me company now.



Anyway, so yeah - I have a tanned Yan that I MIGHT end up selling sometime soon. If I do decide to sell I will let you guys know because it looks like quite a few people are interested in the tan cuties. I have had a few messages on flickr about it already and I havent even firmly decided to sell her yet! ARGH!!

 

Ah, endorwitch--I'm so glad everything's been resolved. She's really gorgeous! Love her face-up and her thick eyelashes. Has she a name yet?

I have a Yisol, she is pretty kicky as well. Seems to be common with the minisups? I'm going to try hotglueing her joints later this week.

Limë I completely agree with you. Mine is not sueded or even MCS'ed, but she is capable of lots and lots extremely interesting poses (sometimes without me actually interfering))

bebe, I bought my Yan from the DoA market, but I think you can order all girls at the same time - at least atm (: I can't help you with the color choice since I cannot really make out the skin color on the promos, but mine is beige urethane from the March pre-order. She's quite pale, and has a soft pinkish undertone IRL.

Hello everyone!! I just got my french resin Yisol from marketplace and I'm so smitten by her! It's been a while that a new doll had such strong effect on me. I thought I would bump up this thread with some photos! And also to mention that Supia is having free shipping event in December! They don't seem to carry french resin or tan at the moment though.

Lorentine, I did her face-up. She came to me with one, but I wanted her to look more Asian, so I repainted her. Actually "repainted" would be wrong word, because believe it or nor, her face-up is 100% pastels only! When I removed her previous face-up, I noticed that she has such gorgeous features, yet somehow painted regular way, she's often loosing the Asian feel of it, becoming more "European" girl. So I basically just blushed and glossed

Oh, her sweater and hat and scarf are made by my friend Johanna (JohQ here on DoA) She makes gorgeous comfy stuff!
The sweater originally belonged to my MNF Lishe, Josie, who I rehomed about 3 years ago. But I kept this sweater and it fits Mitsuko very well too. I almost forgot how much fun it is having a mature mini!

Hi everyone, I have a Minisup Yan on her way (from the marketplace), I can't wait! I just fell in love with Yan's sculpt the first time I saw her.

I have no clothes for her whatsoever so I'm now searching around for something cute. I know there is a Minisup clothes guide but I didn't want to chat in there and thought I'd ask here first: Are Minisups considered "slim msd"?

 

Yes, they are ^_^ You can look for clothes that fit Unoa and Narae (esp. Narae), they should fit minisups as well. The only thing I would suggest checking are pants - supias have rather wide hips, so it might be hard to fit. You can check the guide for the brands that sit fine.
Naturally, anything "baggy" or "elastic" (like leggings - I know for sure that nine9 style leggings fit splendidly) would probably fit.

 

I've had my Supia Yisol, Angelique, in Tonner's Matt ONeill & Harry Potter's pants. Also, Becky Colvin makes some awesome jeans:

As for clothes:
Slim MSD clothes almost always fits.

MSD clothes are often a bit baggy, although leggings and stuff like that is almost always ok. Plus it depends of how fuzzy you are with fitting. I don't like the baggy look myself, but it can look very cool.
www.dollmore.net has leggings, socks and underpants that fits. And a lot of the tops and skirts fits as well.

Etsy:
You can almost always buy everything that are labeled Minifee, lati blue, narae or unoa. As mentioned, pants and stockings may be a little small in the behind.

Shoes:
I don't like bulky shoes, and the only brand I have found to fit perfectly so far is the shoes at www.dalerae.com. But again, I'm super fuzzy about these things, and there are a lot of shoes that fits fairly well.

My Minisup Yan arrived today! I am SO very happy with her, I would recommend her to anyone, it's such an adorable sculpt. She is my very first MSD and I really love this size.

Hi everyone, I finally have some clothes for my Yan and thought I'd share a few pics. They are made by DoA member Shin-zo. I have added the details to the Reference Guide.
