May 25, 2006

1. Ooooh ok, it's not a big deal ! Thank you !

Lucky you are ! Paris is a wonderful city and during the Winter even more !
It seems awesome as festival, but I'm working. :/
Too bad, I could try my Mexican Spanish. XD (God, Spanish has an incredible speech rate !), I hope you'll enjoy your trip !

EDIT : I don't found the infos but Supia accept Layaway, right ? Someone could explain to me, I think I'm blind. XD

2. What a lovely way to wake up!

3. Hi Everyone! I was just thinking what size of eyes would you recommend to use? I have a Dorothy she arrived like a month ago but I wasn't expecting her arrival yet, I want to get some Oscardoll eyes for her. :3

My Haru and Hayul arrived today!! :)

5. Congrats, I'm curious to see how you will customise them!

Ah and I love Supia's packaging so much, I see the little bows in your picture and it reminded what a joy it was to unpack Praline :D

6. I'll actually be modding both girls to have extra arms as the Haru will be a Moth and the Hayul a Butterfly :3 So got a lot of work to do with them! But I'll be sure to post picture of them with faceups and such as I know I've never seen a Haru with a face up aside from the company photo :)

And Supia are so lovely! I hope in the future to get more dolls from them <3

7. Bitterblue, I have a Minisup Dorothy. The site recommends 12mm but I feel 10mm looks more realistic.

8. Thank you, that's what I thought at well. ^^ I have some 14mm but those are obviously aren't right, so I didn't even bother to try them.

9. Happy to help!

10. I'm surprised that there aren't more owners of these beautiful dole. I've enjoyed admiring all your photos.

11. BitterBlue~ do you have pix of your Minisup Dorothy I have bee considering a Supia doll cause I have been researching and they have like the best poseability. I think I Dorothy is so cute.

12. Hi!
I want to make a minisup and minifee hybrid, someone can help me with a photo of a resin comparison NS? Thank you!

13. This is my 2011 Supia yan :) I bought her from Vermont chick a while ago, and have only just started having time to do more with her! I absolutely love her sculpy, and despite being single jointed she has the best posing ability of all my dolls. I really want to get another Supia doll some day :)

14. Aww she's so cute and cheerful! Congrats on her :D

Edit: don't want to double post but I'm so pleased with how this shot of Praline came out I wanted to share here :) I really feel like I finally am progressing in my photography again :D

15. How does the minisup double jointed body pose? I've seen pix on the site but I'm curious of some opinions and maybe some pix

16. Hello ^^
I've looked all over and can't seem to find measurements of the shoulder width. Does anyone know or can tell me? Thank you!

17. Hello!
I don't mean to intrude, but I wanted to ask if Volks MSD clothes fit MiniSups? :) Thanks!

18. @silvereyedpsycho, congrats! Do let us see them when they're finished :)

@glossreality, she is SO pretty! I love smiling dolls.

@thecollegefreshman, Volks MSD are immature MSD, and Supias are slim MSD, so Volks clothes will fit, but will usually be too baggy.
I don't know the answers to the other questions because I don't have a Supia body, sorry!

19. I love the Hannah sculpt so much she's going to be my next dolly that I order, hopefully that will be soon!

20. I fell in love even in the face of Hannah, I would like to match it with a Dikadoll body.
However, I have not yet figured out whether or not the skintone fits

21. Hi there! Congrats for your lovely Supia! These girls are so delicate!

I don't think I have seen that much Minisup Aasta here, so here's mine!
She's on a Dollzone body and the resin match is very good (I don't know about other bodies).
I'm waiting for new eyes for her, in a light brown colour, hope they will suit her!

22. Aasta is very pretty! I think the wig Supia chose for her pictures doesn't suit her. Your girl looks much more stylish!

23. Thank you, yes I think the official pictures don't do her justice. I have seen other owners' customisation on the internet and they are always better ^^

24. Oh she's so cute! I love the freckles-blonde combination <3

My Hannah head has been on 'before shipping' for a week now :o I'm getting so impatient...

Edit: nvm, I just checked again and she was just shipped :love

25. I think I've fallen in love with Supia dolls - they are absolutely stunning! I am something of a newcomer so was a bit confused about the "double jointed" option - what is the advantage of going for this please? I am loving seeing all your dolls, and thought I liked Hannah best until I saw the blonde Aasta! So difficult to choose! I won't be ordering for a while yet as we are moving, and I wouldn't want the doll going to the wrong address ....

26. The double jointed body has a wider range of motion. Also the body has a different, more mature look as the single jointed body. It really depends on your preferences :)

27. Thank you for your input! I don't mind the baggy look to much :) hahaha! I am think about getting Dorothy first, then Hayul :D These dolls are so lovely! And I too would love to see/read pics/opinions about the double-jointed body. Personally, I find the single-jointed body to look more pleasing to the eyes, but I just don't own a DJB hahaha....

28. I'll receive a Sujin with a Lyly Pie faceup (Dust of Dolls), I'm so happy ! Since I saw yours Hasel, she was in my withlist !

29. Aww ^^ Congratulations! Do post pictures of her! :D

My Hannah also arrived and she is everything I wished for <3 I will have to bevel her eyewells because the 14 mm eyes I have for her won't fit but they are perfect for the character, and it will take a while before I have finished her body :o

30. Oh please do post pictures of your new girls!

Here's my Aasta with her new eyes. I'm very pleased with them, I think it suits her! They are 10 mm.

31. She is gorgeous! Those tattoos(?) are very lovely on her!!

I have a quick questions to those who own a tan minisup; how dark is she? Are the newer dolls more ebony than olive? And by new I mean the ones produced this year :) Thanks in advance!

32. One of my rl friends just got a tan Supia girl (sd) in tan skin and the color is very dark native american. It's not really olive and also not really ebony but the color darkness is right in between them and I would imagine olive skin more to the yellow side and this is quite a reddisch color (without it being lobster red luckely) And when you say ebony I imagine a more african dark, almost black, brown and thats not it either :)

33. She is very lovely!Congrats for her!

34. Hannah is also my favorite!Congrats! She is lovely!

35. And she's here since this morning ! I really love her, she's wonderful. ^^

36. She's wonderful! I like her lips and tiny nose!

37. @Poulette, Thank you ! Your girl is quite lovely too !

Just finish in alpaca wig for her, for her name I was thinking to Siggy (As a character in Vikings !).

38. Aaaah her freckles are so adorable!

It's amazing how different she looks from my Praline :o

And I'm here to debut my Hannah
[IMG]Philรฉ? by Hasel-Anne van Stormbroek, on Flickr

She'll probably be named Philรฉ but I'm not sure yet, her body and ears aren't finished yet as she's going to be a part bunny girl :) The teeth are perfect for it! I'm very much in love with her :D

• x 4
39. @Hasel Oh good god your Philรฉ (?) is absolutely beautiful! I'm in love with her eyebrows and the colour of her lipstick in combination with her rather natural eye make up :)

I'm about two weeks away from receiving my Hannah head and I'm just now starting to get a bit worried - do you guys think other msds with larger heads (considering she wears 6/7inch wigs and my others are in the 7/8 range) would look lollipop-headed next to her? Does anyone have reference photos of a Minisup with a mini from a different company?

40. For those not on Supia's email list, they have announced the winter events.

I'm hoping to get comparison soon! One thing that usually works is to use a smooth close-fitting wig on the larger head and a fluffy wig on the smaller head.

41. @fantasteic , here's a quick pic of Hannah with a peakswoods girl. To me, the difference has more to do with how realistic Supias are compared to most dolls than the size.

@Mylene , shes beautiful! What a lovely faceup

@Hasel , Love your concept idea. What body is she on? I love how diverse the Hannah sculpt is.

• x 1
42. @Cydril Oh perfect, thank you so much. I've been loking everywhere for a photo like this but apparently there are pretty much none. I hope the difference won't be to obvious, but since I prefer more realistic looking dolls I think it'll do if they all have rather realistic face ups.

@nancy_schroeder_ca Thanks for the advice, I've been thinking about doing that for a while now actually. The hairstyles I have in mind for them go well with that too :)
I'll post a comparison pic when hannah arrives!

43. @fantasteic Thanks :D
I don't think they'll look so odd next to eachother, personally I find size 6/7 and 7/8 not that much of a difference visually.

@Cydril Thank you! She's on a Unoa body

44. Thank you @nancy_schroeder_ca for the link! Answering your question from other thread. Well, I think I would be interested in double jointed body, as it poses so nicely, although I am not such a great fan of double joints in general, but... well with all clothes etc it should be okay. Now is just the question how different is Supia's NS from Elfdoll WS... I guess it won't fit, I just have to accept that le sight.
But I wouldn't mind to see your Dorothy^^

45. Here's Dorothy with smokey makeup on WS
[IMG]

I will try to get some comparison pictures but it may be this weekend. I'm in the middle of a closet reorganization and there are boxes stacked on my photo area!

46. She's divine @nancy_schroeder_ca <3 I guess I will get her some time in the beginning next year. She has such lovely face. Those lips are pretty^^
No rush with pictures, but thank you in advance;)

47. Loving all the pictures! I'm currently doubting between Hannah & Hayul so some spam would be nice :D

51. She is really lovely! :aheartbea:love

52. @Lanilu Your girl is so lovely!
@Cydril Stunning, hope she's not gonna swish with katana too much^^
@Mylene She looks very natural! Love it!

53. @Lanilu , your photo has put Hayul on my list <3 How lovely.

54. Hi, minisup owners. I was wondering what you all though about the original minisup body? I sort of want to order a Hayul, but I hate that the double-jointed body has such a large chest. :( Does the other body pose pretty well?

55. @wherethelilacsbloom I have to agree with you, I prefer the smaller chest on the minisup body. The original body poses pretty well. Mine is a little kicky in the knees.

56. I'm sure people have made nice hybrids.. I'd love to know which bodies make a good resin match, and in which colors. I'd prefer a NS Hayul, but I'd consider going white if the white match is better.

I made a thread about Supia resin in the Photo Reference section, but there weren't really any responses :o

57. I don't have a full Minisup doll, but I bought the old style Minisup body for a head that I had. :) I wanted an aesthetically pleasing body with good poseability and a small chest, so Minisup was my first choice. The body poses really well (to be honest I often prefer single-jointed bodies over double-jointed ones). I pliver sueded the body and switched to a firmer 3mm string and the body is quite effortless and lovely to handle. The knees can be a bit kicky at times, like Alewife said, but with a little patience, it's possible to get some really graceful standing poses. Also, she sits really nicely thanks to the waist joint. :aheartbea I'm all for that type of natural slouch. ^^

Since my girl's head isn't by Supia, I can't post her here, but I have photos of the Minisup body's poseability in my flickr: here. Scroll down and you can see the Minisup girl body. ^^

I definitely love this body a lot, I'm very happy that I purchased it for my girl! :D

58. It is encouraging to know that the single jointed body poses well :) I have an old Unoa 1.0, and I guess I just feel very limited by her arms. I'm not sure if she is just not strung tight enough or if t he single joints are as limited as I supposed, but I can't get her to touch her face/head/hair, and I can't get her hands to get into, say, a clapping position, etc. But, it could very well be that she is strung too loose, and I have to figure out how to restring her. Oy. :P

Thanks for the replies!

While I am still figuring this out, I so actually like the Dollzone body, so that hybrid is a possibility.

Also, I have to say, I really really like the Soom MSD body. A lot. But I haven't been able to find out whether the resin matches OK or not.
