Because of Hamin's head size, plus with her elf ears, she has a large head and to me, I think the larger 65 body will balance her out.

Since gotten her a choker. Arms came strung a smidgen too tight, and I'm not 100% sure if I'm sitting her correctly (the ratcheting thigh joints are unlike anything I've had before), but otherwise absolutely adore her vulnerable melancholy and posing skills.

 

Hi everyone, I've heard Supia girls wear smaller wigs but couldn't find detailed info on the exact head size. Would they look ok (not bobble-headed) hybrided with a narrow-shouldered body?

 

I can confirm that mine has wigs that are on the looser side for her size. It isn't SO small that a silicone cap doesn't help out but most wigs are still a little loose even then.

I don't have any other bodies to show you, but I have a bust that isn't supia, if you needed.

 

If the bust stand has a shoulder width of about 10 cm please do! It's the size of the body I'm trying to find a head for.
But if not then I'd be grateful for your Supia's head circumference, it would help too!

 

I am really having a hard time with image hosting, but I did take some photos for you. It is a Nakana bust and looks great with my Lina sleeping head.

I would estimate that the shoulder width is about 3.75 inches wide, if that helps.

If you have ideas re image hosting, or how to get these pics up, let me know. Imgur is giving me issues.

 

I usually use flickr. If not then perhaps a shared folder in any cloud service like Dropbox etc. but I don't know if that works with DoA's image linking.

 

Let me know if this works! I converted the measurement to cm and it seems like it is just shy of the size you are looking for but it is pretty close!

Mine curently has a Luts 8-9 inch wig and yes, its too big. Even the 'large' siliconw wig cap I have is too big. At the moment I'm just using a little bit of kneadable eraser to hold the wig on. I'm planning to buy a Luts 8 inch wig (listed as a separate category from the 8-9s) for another doll and I'm going to see if there's any difference.

 

I absolutely put 1/4 size wigs on my Rosy. 1/3 sizes just fell right off. /o\

 

Oh, I didn’t know that. I have a boy head (Zion) that I changed to a girl on the 65cm double jointed body who wears an 8-9” wig well.

 

I think Rosy was the smallest head.

 

I'm certain she absolutely is, lol! Though, I was never sure just how much larger others were compared to her~

 

Naomi is also on the smaller size. Monique's 8-9 is large on her.

 

I like Licht's 8/9 wigs, they are kinda small and very stretchy, so the 8/9 size fits very well. Crobidoll also makes a size 8/8.5 wig that is a tight fit on these girls.

 

Hi, sorry if this question has been answered before I'm wondering what clothes fit the Ballerina Body. I'm assuming regular 1/3 tops, but the pants/skirts part has me a bit hesitant. Where do you guys usually buy bottoms for your girls? And what size?

 

My Nine9style and TTYA SD13 boy jeans work quite well on the 60 ballerina body!

Sorry if this has been asked before, what size clothes and shoes fit the 65 Supia girl body?

 

Similar to above, SD17 pants fit my ballerina body well, they're just a bit long. As for tops SD13 girls is a bit tight, but they work. Problem is that they don't fit the hips and just have to sit at the bottom of the waist. My volks SD16 top fits great, but it is a baggy style. The SD16 skirt that came with the top fits but you can tell it was not made for so much booty. It lifts up dangerously in the back, lol. But does the job safe enough!

 

I used to have a 65 girl, and I put a lot of Iplehouse SID sized clothes on her too!

 

So I have 2 100% legit Supia ballerina bodies, 2020 and 2022... a few things I've noticed are different!
2020 body is shinier, 2022 is more matte and velvety. This is a reported change from Supia themselves on instagram:

Supia also mentioned themselves that the actual height of their dolls has changed after being produced many times:
Supia Doll on Instagram: "The body for use as a sample is eye-catching, and I took a picture of it for a size comparison. ✨ The desk is very messy, as we are arranging subsidiary materials. The 2020 body feels like it has more sculpted definition, and the 2022 body, less defined. The 2020 body stomach goes 'in' more, and the nipples protrude more. 2020 body has longer fingernails than 2022.

ALSO! The actual measurements are different! I thought this was especially strange.
2022 version is slightly taller and larger than the old one.

2020 height to shoulder: 57.6 cm
2022 height to shoulder: 58.1 cm

2020 waist: 18.2 cm
2022 waist: 18.3 cm

2020 thigh: 16.9 cm
2022 thigh: 17 cm

2020 bust: 23.5 cm
2022 bust: 23.2 cm

She is milk brown. It's very hard to tell from photos which is milk brown or real

Thank you so much, both are beautiful colours and look different depending on the light. After reading through a lot of this thread i gather that most of the girls heads are 19-20cm or an 7-8 wig?

 

They wear 8-9 wigs, 7-8 is simply too small. If you can find wigs that are closer to the 8" size of an 8/9, like Licht, Crobidoll size 8, they will fit better. I also recommend a silicone head cap.

Does anyone happen to know offhand if pants designed for the smart doll will fit the 60cm double jointed girls? I’m trying to find a good pair of jeans for my rosy.

 

Does anybody know what shoe brand fit?

 

My Supia Ariel head just arrived, and I placed her on an Impldoll Starwoman MGB. (Proportions are good enough, but needed a silicone kip on the neck to fix mobility.) I'd unfortunately have to redo her makeup because her character peg changed while she was in production, but I'm really happy to have her!

@AntarelNefertili She looks great! Thanks for the tip on your hybrid. I've been eyeing Ariel for years, but have so much fun enjoying others. You did great on her faceup.

 

Actually the faceup in the previous photo was Supia's (Diva Red). Even though it's absolutely gorgeous, I unfortunately had to repaint her myself because her character plans changed while she was in production. This is how she looks now. Pardon the startled-looking eyes; have not quite found the right eyes for her yet. Not used to having a doll with large eyes!

I have been hemming and hawing which body to get a Hael on and I think I want to do a 65cm body for her. That being said, what are some pros and cons to watch out for with the body? I am not terribly concerned about clothes, but more about posing and aesthetics.

 

I love the 65 body and use it for many of my hybrids. Posing is my priority and I think this is the major pro. I also love the graceful hand position, the bust is pretty and the potential for shrugging shoulders.

Cons: the upper body often wants to tilt below the bust and sometimes the elbow bends back due to the wonderfully poseable elbows. Also the hips and rear are larger than most 62-65cm girls so I use stretch pants/shirts or Dollshe 26F bottoms.

 

That's super helpful thank you, I assume it's a similar case to my Iplehouse and Impldoll girls so I wasn't too worried about big hips.

 

I've had all of Supia bodies and in my opinion, the 60cm double joint is the best for posing. I sold my 65cm body in the end as I preferred the 60cm one.

 

I think I'm going to get my first resin 1/3 girl, and I love so many Supia sculpts! I'm thinking of getting Sarah, but I'm not sure whether to get the DJ 60 or ballerina. It seems to be personal preference, as some people are strongly for/against one or the other. Just makes it harder to decide lol!

I'm also trying to decide skin tone I like Milk Brown and Light Rose Brown. I haven't seen any pictures besides on the Supia site of Light Rose Brown, so if you have one, please share!

 

I believe on Supia's Instagram they have more resin comparison with those tones.

The Ballerina body is absolutely beautiful, but it can be awkward to get it into sitting poses, I keep my girl on a stand because I sometimes struggle to get her to hold a sitting down pose. I also have the double joint and I much prefer that one for posing, but both are super beautiful aesthetically

 

I’ve seen that the ballerina body tends to need restringing or sueding, both of which I have never done and makes me nervous! I believe I saw the ballerina body also has wider hips too, I suppose if that’s harder to find clothes for.

 

It is a smaller selection of items for clothes but there can be workarounds.

 

I've sueded mine and it does help a lot. I will take comparison photos later of both bodies for you, the hips are wider and has bigger butt so it's bottoms that are harder to find, however I find a lot of dresses that are not tight fitting work

I pulled the trigger a few minutes ago actually and got a Sarah in Light Rose Brown on the ballerina body. I wouldn't mind still seeing the comparison though, in case I fall in love when she's here and want a second one lol...

When you bring the legs forward, make sure the elastic goes in between these "grooves?" (Not sure on the word lol)

The legs have this indent that you need to bring the legs froward more and lock it into position, see next photo to see what I mean




Doesn't look the most aesthetically pleasing but this is how to get the body to hold a sitting pose




Also, tilt the torso forward to stop her falling back. I put some low temp hot glue suede on this joint to help hold it in this position

Thin layer of hot glue (low temperature glue gun) around this joint

Since I was having a hard time deciding on skin tone, I'm sure I'll want to try out the DJ body next with either Sweet Blue or Milk Brown I SUPER appreciate the sitting tutorial with photos, and the sueding. tysm

I'll make sure to post pics of her when she arrives. 90 days will be horrendous to sit through but she'll be worth it!!
