I think this has been asked before but searching the thread I can't find an actual answer. Does anyone have the head circumference of the male sculpts? in the 65 cm size?

 

Does anyone here own a Hayil? Almost done paying mine off. He doesn't seem super popular from what I can tell but I think he's a cutie.

Now I own a Giyom hybrid with a modified mouth and closed eyes, looking like this:

@akaisha0 did you ever find the answer? Supia only says they can wear 8-9 wigs, no measurements. They have rather "tall" heads though.

I have two boys and have been meaning to go measure them but life doesn't always agree with my plans!

 

I've just measured my Giyom's head, and it's circumference is 20 cm.
I remember well, back in times when I bought him he came with a gift 8-9 wig and it sat loose on the head. He rather needed a 7-8 inch, or else, I now use wigs made specifically for him.

I just measured Jacob and he is 20.5 cm or 8 1/8 inches. they may say 8-9 because it is over 8 inches but an 8 inch or 7-8 with a little give will fit better.

 

I finally measured Zion and he is right at 20cm, or 7 7/8 inches. Interesting how they vary.

 

I placed an order for a blank, normal skin Giyom head on the third of August. I have tried unsuccessfully to ask on the Q & A board four times, sent an email, and even a message on Facebook to Supiadoll on how long this head will take. Can anyone here tell me roughly how long a head takes to cast and ship? My order still says money transfer accepted. Also as far as a body I am thinking the Dollstown 17 year boy body, but wondering if Supiadoll's normal skin is closer to Dollstown's fresh skin then their oriental skin. Thanks in advance for any information on either of my questions.

 

@animemom is DT fresh skin the same as Dollshe fresh skin? If so, I could check that color match tonight. It's strange that you aren't getting an answer on the Q&A.

 

Hi! Just looked on the waitlist in the "Supia Waiting Room" and it looks to be about 2 months. I don't see a recent order for just a head so I would say up to 2 months. The Q&A board answers seem to come in spurts. I know its a pretty small company and I'm not sure how many english speaking customer service reps they have. I hope they answer you soon. Good Luck!

 

Supia is a very small company and many companies don't have a full time translator.

 

Thank you all for the info. Yes @Alewife Dollstown and Dollshe are the exact same resin colors. They both use the machines and resins. Thank you in advance for checking for me.

 

@animemom congrats on the order I can't wait to see him, and also very curious how he'll look on the Dollstown 17 year boy body if you decide to get one. If I hadn't gone for an Iplehouse Rania hybrid, I probably would have gone for the Giyom sculpt.

@animemom I forgot to get back to you, sorry! Dollshe fresh skin is not the best match with Supia NS. Supia is darker and more pinky/peachy. It would be in blushing distance if you wanted to try that.

 

Thanks @Alewife for information. I have a normal skin Dollstown as well as fresh skin here so when the head does arrive I can see which is closer. I already know I will be getting a Dollstown 17 year boy body for head, if body has to be blushed more oh well.

Hey all! I just finished (after several days of browsing) going through every single active BJD creator or dealer site that I found listed on DOA, and came across Supia for the first time. When I saw Jacob, I just knew... he has to be part of my doll family someday! I'm a little picky about facial sculpts but somehow he fits what I want in every single way. I might not be able to get him for a while, but I wanted to share my excitement!

Also! @Alewife ... what a handsome face!

 

Due to neck size I have had to pick a oriental skin 15 year boy body as the 17 year was to thick. But I am also getting a Dollzone YuHan and his neck and resin might work even better, so they will share head and the Dollstown 15 year boy body will get a floating head I already have here from Dollstown. So fingers crossed all will settle in okay.

@animemom it sounds complicated, but you're sure to work something out!

 

I can’t find the measurements for the supia boy body anywhere. can someone please tell me or link it to me? The body looks PERFECT for my DM Jaeii head.

If I could even just get the neck size and maybe shoulder width?

Here is my Supia Zion. Technically it's a woman - she is on Spiritdoll Proud 1st ver. body, but since it's originally male head, I decided that it's ok to share her photo here

 

I finally got my body last week. The head thankfully I didn't fall for and my Supiadoll Giyom head fits perfectly and the resin match is pretty close. I am thrilled. Now the real work begins with finding the right wig for that domed head and of course the face up. These are for now.

How do you think? Is it possible to create a good hybrid from the male body of Guu-doll and the head of Supiadoll Giyom?

 

Not familiar with the company for body so can't say weather it would work or not. Just know Dollshe, Dollstown wouldn't work. Thankfully the Dollzone body did.

Thank you. He might also get the jointed hands I bought last year so he will be even more awesome for the gaming group I am forming.

I love him! May I ask you which dollzone body did you use for him? I am planning on getting Giyom head too and I am looking for bodies that would match.

 

The body came with a Yuhan head and he's around 65cm tall so not really sure what they call body.

 

Oh thank you. I checked on Alice collections and it seems to be the B60-005 body, I am surprised it works with Giyom. Did you face any problem with the neck difference? Because according to AC the neck for this DZ body is 9.3cm, and my understanding is that supia boy neck is 11cm! I wonder if these measurements are correct, coz I find your doll looking perfect! I wouldn't tell there is any difference between the head and neck!

 

@Mona_Amin The neck fits head pretty good. Might be slightly smaller, but this does allow more movement then if I bought a thicker neck body. I can take photos to show the difference.

Recently, I have been toying with the idea of getting an SD-size boy and one of the candidates is a Supiadoll Zion. But I can't seem to find any recent reviews on the male 65cm double-jointed body. I see from this discussion that many owners are hybriding. Is the body not very good?

 

I personally never cared for the Supiadoll bodies. Found they don't stand very solid and posing can get tricky. They are beautiful, but just not worth it. If they would make changes might consider them again, but doubt it this late in game for me. I am sure others will weigh in on the subject @toveb

 

Actually I love the supia boy body. I had a little trouble at first. Partially I wasnt used to a larger size doll and also I believe his upper body weight made it hard to pose him ( his upper body at the hip ball joints kept slipping from the weight causing him to constantly fall forward ) but once I glue sueded those areas he stands and poses perfectly.

 

Thank you, @animemom and @KimC for your input. It does sound like the body is a little unbalanced in weight coupled with an unsupportive joint design in the pelvic area. This would probably annoy me to no bits, to be honest, even if I am fine with sueding joints on unruly dolls.

The next question would logically be: what body should I hybrid him with in that case? I saw someone recommend Dollstown, which is a company I have loved for a long time. I think I only owned an MSD from them once many years ago, so I have no experience with their bigger bodies. I have also looked at the Telesthesia 65cm Uncle body. Do you think that could work resin-wise and does it have a good reputation for posing?

 

For Supiadoll normal skin I found Dollzone NS works great, also the bodies are great posers and stand very well. The resin match to Dollstown isn't good even fresh skin was a bad match. Plus Supiadoll makes big neck opening but even 17 year made him look like a pin head. Dollzone is best choice I have found.

 

Oh, after digging through their News section I finally found the measurements! 11 cm, right?
I also found the old resin match thread for Supiadoll and there was a post from 2017 that said Telesthesia NS Yellow was a very good match for NS Supiadoll. But that was 2 years ago. It seems to be the bigger body (75cm), since it has jointed hands.

DZ has four different "normal": white, pink, yellow and peach. Which one would you say is my best bet, the yellow perhaps? And also, what is the difference between the 003 and 004 body? They seem to be about the same measurements. ET: Nvm, the 003 has a neck circumference of 10cm.

 

Sorry @toveb but I don't have enough knowledge to answer your questions. I can tell I got a normal skin on the pink side, not yellow as the Supiadoll Giyom head was first to arrive and I could see it was more on pink side. As for neck opening the measurements on Supiadoll said 11cm but the neck on Dollzone body was about 10cm maybe 10.5 but as you can see from my photo it was perfect.

I've been considering the Granado Lads body as a hybrid. I have a Zion head on the old (sadly discontinued) Granado 68cm body and it looks good, so I'm assuming the Lads will work too. Granado Bronze is a pretty good match with Supia tan, and the two NS are quite good too.
