Spiritdoll Waiting Room #3

2 years after I get his head....I finally order Abe's body XD

 

I have a tracking number! Not only that, I've had two other emails from Spiritdoll in the past week. I do believe they are making good on the new promise for improved customer service. Ying tells me that the leather clothes are handmade and can take longer; they were responsible for the holdup on my order, apparently.

 

Finally after a month promising they'd ship, they provided me with a tracking number. Still gonna leave negative feedback once the doll comes.

 

Well, if Spiritdoll sticks with its pledge to do better on the communication, I'm OK. I waited 4 months for my body, two blank heads and some clothes. Not the fastest, but not the worst either. The clothes are just fantastic, I will say. The Proud outfits (the full outfits) are leather and really well done.

Guh, I'm very jittery over my order because it's my first tiny. >_> And I'm starting to break my rule about not buying dolls I've never seen owner pics of more often... I dunno if that's a good or bad thing, but either way there don't seem to be any Mints owned by people on DoA who like to share tons of pictures.

 

it's definitely not fun when you want to find owner pics of a doll before buying, but no one else seems to like the one you're looking at or they don't post pics if they do own one >.<

 

I have one question. Did anyone from the Winter event get the little Alice they were offering?

It's OK, that's all I wanted to know =) I haven't seen the first one on the boards but maybe I haven't searched properly.

 

I guess the Alice isn't shown so much- I've noticed it with all the Spiritdolls. It seem their owners don't like to show them so much. Well I'm among them, as I rarely show my dolls as well, so I better be quiet .

 

Whee. the wig for my Mint is coming early because Mint On Card coincidentally ordered the wig I preordered in July back in March.

Guh, this is the first time I've ordered my doll's stuff before the doll. I'm not sure if it makes the waiting easier or not. I guess I've got little things to focus on, but then once it's all here it's like... all this stuff with no one to put them on.

Holding off on preemptive sewing though, because I failed miserably at that the last time I tried. I'm not so good with sewing off of measurements...

 

lol if all their stuff is there you can lay it out in their rough shape XD i do it all the time with my incoming dolls' stuff, though it makes me all the more anxious >.<;

so picked up my order form the post office today o.o I'll post a link to the box opening later, after my hand's recovered from it's encounter with a concrete sidewalk and can open a box <_<;

 

Just wanted to say that Spiritdoll seems to be following through on its promised improvement in customer service. I received good email responses in the past few weeks, a very quick resolution on a problem with my order (and a very nice resolution, I should say). . . . Also, there have been some nice improvements to the Spiritdoll Proud V2 male body. I'm surprised Spiritdoll hasn't made some sort of announcement about it. There are locking mechanisms for the upper arms, better jointing on the elbows and knees so that the resin edges are more refined and thinner. Really nice improvements.

 

hey all, sorry to just jump into this thread but i've never ordered a spiritdoll before (getting Daffodil) - how long, in your experience, between making your order and shipping when it comes to the SD-ish size dolls?

i'd love it if i could have a guesstimate about the waiting period, i made the order several weeks ago. the longest i've waited for a doll is over 4+ months now so waiting isn't a stranger to me, i'm just... curious!

 

Received my body. The box was in a bad shape but fortunately the body was well-wrapped so no damage.

 

I just ordered the elegance body for my Or-Doll head. The head is my grail doll and I had thought to complete him in the style he deserved especially since the person who sculpted him, Rene, is out of commission and won't be making any new sculpts for some time. I can't wait to get his body.

 

i dunno what the average wait time is for the others because my order seemed to ship freakishly fast O.o I'd assume you won't have much longer to wait though :3

 

I wish mine would come faster... He's so itty-bitty, it can't take that long to make... right?

Though it hasn't been a month yet. @_@ I'm so impatient.

 

My wait time when communications were not so great was about three months. :3

 

ouch, I will cry if that's the case! they still haven't responded in the guest book thingy to my... rather large donation of funds... which is what it feels like till someone tells me they got it, LOL. I hope everything goes well. I really do!!!!

 

I wouldn't worry too much. My account still says "paid," as opposed to before shipping, or on shipping, or received . . . lol. They are not typically great at communication, but everything usually turns out fine. And the dolls are soooo worth the wait. ^^ I got the Elegance jointed body, too. Love it!

 

I just checked and they got my payment.... like officially say they got it! YAY, my money is no longer floating about in the universe!!! Today I am going to meet someone from the board here... for the first time. Most of the friends I have on here live too far away so it is very difficult. I guess the point of this is that her roomie has spiritdoll bodies so I get to have a kind of impromptu preview. I am bringing my head just to check to see if the resin match is close, but I honestly don't know even how old hers are so... yeah. I'm so looking forward to it anyway. We're dying another doll today too and sueding so it will be a fun day. My first doll meet was kinda tragic and frustrating (and I haven't made any effort to go to another because of my experience despite that I love to share my guys) and then this week... I finally get to connect with two people from on here that are just the most amazing people ever, one today and one on sunday. I wish I had been able to order Kaze's body sooner but... I am just so happy that it will be coming. I guess even the smallest step forward makes it more real.

I wonder how hard it would be to face-up a tiny head. I've only doing 1/4 and 1/3 heads. Guh, getting a new size for the first time is so nerve-wracking.

YAY my body shipped!!!!! I am so excited.

 

He has been stuck in Qingdao forever. I'm going nuts. they got him on the 15th and it hasn't updated or moved sinse. I just want my body! please for the love of all that is good just release him and send him home!!!!

I'm desperately hoping he will just show up and EMS is just being a tool. The weather is turning here and before long it will get cold and windy so won't be as good for MSC. Please Kaze, get your punk butt home! Right now it has been dry and temperate. I could get his blush done and then... start on the tattoos slowly. this is so frustrating.


He's in NY!!!!! YAY movement! now comes the wait for him to get stuck in customs . I hope not. I hope he moves faster now. It's already been so long. The postal system is really getting on my nerves. I should be more patient. I have had his head since june so I should just relax but... it's so close that it's horrible!

Yeah and I already started on it. I'll get him done soon! I have been posting updates on my flickr too if you want to see my progress. I really adore how he behaves... well, sorta behaves

 

Have a question. Everything is ok. I just don't understand one little thing. Made my order on 4 september. 5th September status - pending; 18th September status - processing. paid last part of layaway on 23 September. Why did the status paid appeared only on 6th of October?
I thought 'processing' meant processing a doll. In reality it meant that my order was being executed. English is so polysemic language )))

 

Well! Spiritdoll sent me a shipping notice and a tracking number, almost exactly a month after I placed my order. They promised to improve their service, and apparently that promise wasn't an empty one! *is pleased*

In the meantime, Kundry's body has been handed over to customs... I'm praying they will treat it gently, release it soon and (if it's not too much to ask :p) keep their fee within reasonable limits .

Y'know, I really love their Female's Proud body, the second version, but it seems like the first version is everyone's favorite which means there are almost no pictures of the second one. ;A; if you could do a body review, or take pictures that show how it poses, man it would be amazing.

It's great that the body shipped so quickly, and I've been asking them lots of questions, and they've been replying really quickly and been very helpful in general. They really seem to have improved their service &#9829;

'They promised to improve their service, and apparently that promise wasn't an empty one!' Well... Placed my order 10 weeks ago. The payment was made 8 weeks ago. And no any changes. Acer was supposed to be my first bjd, but in terms of waiting it more and more reminds me of Dollshe boy. Really. May be it is because of the skin color. I am starting to dance on the ceiling.
Since i ordered him twice i doubt my choice. But Acer is such a cutie. Everytime i see him on promo photos i wish he is at home sooner.

 

Erlif, I'm sorry to hear that... Most orders seem to have been shipping within a month recently. Have you tried contacting Spiritdoll?

AnonEi, don't worry, I'll post pictures! I'm not sure why everybody seems to favour the older version. It's true that it has mobility joints... I would have preferred the version 2 with mobility joints, to be sure. But more important to me is that the version 2 is less thin than the older body. It looks great, I think - hopefully it lives up to my expectations! The body is for my LLT Edria head. It's funny: I had a lot of doubts about which head I wanted for Kundry, but I always wanted her to have the Spiritdoll Proud type 2 body!

I'll be picking the body up on Tuesday. The postman actually brought it to my door yesterday, which is much earlier than I ever dared to expect, and I wasn't at home. The post office will be closed on Monday, so Tuesday it will be.

I wrote Spiritdoll a letter some days ago. But there was no any reply at all. I frankly believe, that i'll get my doll. But i'm doubting the time frames. In near future i'll have many issues to worry about besides a doll.
Spiritdoll just released 5 new gorgeous dolls. It is great. But i'd preffer they'll do it before i place my order or after they ship to me my doll.

 

I really do wish that the 4-5 week time frame that they stated for elegance bodies was the case, but I'm sitting at 8 weeks? Nothing will ever come close to the Dollshe 11 month wait, but I totally got my hopes up that this time it wouldn't be long at all. *SIGH*

 

Er. It looks like it's a bit of a lottery, then O_o. There is no objective reason why one body should take so much longer to make than another, I should think.

Personally, of course, I'm over the moon because I have never received a doll faster than this! Except perhaps my Granado Sidonia - I believe she came home after about a month too. I am used to waiting two months/two months and a half.

 

Spiritdoll wrote me today that they had had some issues with the body i had ordered. For now i am happy and ready to wait again ))) Silence - is the most frightening thing for me ))) And for you?

 

I sent an email last week, but have heard nothing back. I don't want to pester them too much, but I certainly would like to hear something. I think I am being impatient a bit. Maybe they will put out the Morus outfit in the meantime. Then I can debate on whether I want to add it to my order ^_^;;;

 

Erlif* It really sucks that they took quite long to reply, and to have your order ready, but let's hope that's just it [the event] and that, now that they released them, they can get back to their current orders.

It's really weird because, like Sigune said, they were taking around a month to send them, but they are suddenly taking longer.

I've been asking lots of stuff, both through their e-mail and guestbook and they always reply really fast. This same weekend I asked them about my order and they said it was almost ready and that they would email me the tracking number once they shipped it.

 

Yaaaaay Kundry has a body!

To interpret my dates: the body wasn't underway for 10 days. In fact, it arrived really quickly (in three days) and spent a spectacular ONE day (meaning: no fees!) in customs. In fact, it showed up on my doorstep so early that I wasn't quite prepared. So I wasn't at home :/. It was a Friday. Normally I would have been able to collect the package on Monday, but the postal service had a day off - so I got to collect Kundry's body today. I have photographed my box opening but the photos are yet to be posted.


-AnonEi, I haven't forgotten my promise to take pictures of the body posing... There is just one thing: it was shipped wearing its heel legs. I have no high-heel shoes in the house, and I always need to get used to a doll before I feel comfortable with stuff that involves hooks and elastics :p. At the moment, therefore, she can't stand! I'll gladly show her other 'features' though - they include lots of locks that I didn't expect and need to get used to, but she's already an excellent poser. The body is really great and it fits Kundry to a T. I'm a happy bunny! XD

 

whelp, looks like my order is almost ready. Here is hoping that almost means soon ^_^;;
