hi everyone, i've had my eye on Spirit Doll's Campfire for a year and a half now, and when i went to their website today it was full of 404 errors and plug-in / flash player issues. does anyone know what happened? is it just an error on my end, or is there something actually wrong with the website? if there is something wrong, do you know of anywhere else that sells legitimate Spirit Dolls? thank you edit: i went to check, and Campfire is on Dolk Station. i've bought from them before, but never an actual namebrand doll. would it be safe to buy him from here?
thank you so much! another quick question, have you ever purchased a Spirit Doll with a face-up? Has it looked alright?
All of mine have the company face-ups and for the most part I've been really pleased with them. (My Olea's face-up had a little more blue than I expected, but I think it still suits her so I've never replaced it. Hers is the only one that surprised me-) I don't take many pictures of my gang these days, so the Olea and Ulmus are the only ones I can easily show you... but for what it's worth here they are: Islyn (the Ulmus) ... and Adanna (the Olea) I also have a Windflower, a Spruce, a Pyrus and a Meng Po.
My profile pic is an Olea in tan with the company faceup. I have a couple more pictures of her in slightly better lighting in her profile: /doll-profiles/setsuna.18039/
My sister has a Spiritdoll Holly in tan skin with a default faceup. I think he had a bit more pink in the faceup than she expected, but it's very nicely done. You can see his doll profile here: Banjo I would not recommend going through Dolk if you can avoid it. They've had a lot of customer service problems, including not shipping doll on time, and charging additional astronomical shipping fees after the initial sale and holding dolls hostage until they are paid. you can read more about that HERE if you'd like. I've heard good things about LegendDoll and Clover Singing.
seeing faceups like this has me feeling much more confident in Spiritdoll, thank you! also, my experience with Dolk was terrible! i ordered two separate parts – a body and a head. the body took over 7 months to get to me, and halfway through i received an update saying the head i ordered was suddenly out of stock. i still have a headless doll sitting in the back of my closet i was desperate enough to look there for Campfire, but i'm definitely going over to LegendDoll now!
You can see my Spiritdoll Proud Insane 'The Mad Hatter' with company face-up on my profile pic. It is a decade old and still looks the same. Great quality. If Spiritdoll's own website is down, do you guys think any order from them goes through if you place the order via an affiliate or partner website? I ordered all of my dolls via official company website, so I don't know. There might be many reasons why a doll artist don't want to provide direct webshop and would rather rely on partners, so I am just wondering. What do you think?
I'd say ask the agents about that... Christine at Clover Singing and the Legend Doll crew are good about answering questions, so if you have any concerns about ordering Spirit sculpts through them, just ask. If they've had trouble with the company fulfilling orders, they should let you know. If it helps any, my MengPo is my most recent purchase. I ordered her in October 2021 and received her about a month ago. That was a little longer wait time than any of my others, but she did arrive exactly as ordered. (She was ordered through Legend-)
I happened to check the website yesterday and like you, it went in error. This year I bought Thorn head with face-up from Clover Singing and he looks good. 2BCAE7A3-D199-44E4-9FB5-D9F37A37BB47.JPG
