Spiritdoll 1/4 Smart Mini discussion Part 1

Thanks! Natural skin, jointed torso, tiny boobs that calls "medium" by mistake)) Without make-up, because don't like her pale pink shadows. And three pair of shoes.
Estimated time of making 9-10 weeks, sooo long

Yeap! Snowdrop is my first BJD and I ready to wait for her even half-year)) but hope she will arrive sooner)

oooh!! I'm so excited for you! I chose not to get the face-up as well for the same reason :P too much pink for my liking 9-10 weeks is a long wait!! I ordered right at the beginning of the first release and had to wait just over 6 weeks... torture, pure torture XD *fingers crossed* she comes sooner than expected!!!

 

I actually enjoy the look of her default faceup. But I decided to not get it for the "face up can't be guaranteed to look like the one in the pictures" chance. I looked at pictures of a recently delivered snowdrop when I'd been stalking the thread before buying and I absolutely did not like the look of her faceup... I agonized over Remy's face before and after I sent her out but when she got home she was absolutely perfect!

Semi related : I recently discovered a dark spot on the bottom of her face around the chin area that looks like someone dotted her face with a pen! it doesn't rub off with my fingers and I'm terrified that it won't rub off with water because if I need to wash it off with a mr clean I'm going to have a shiny spot on her face ;-; my masks filters are not in MSC spraying shape.

 

Does anyone have a Candlenut?

 

I have ordered today a Smart girl body with jointed torso and big boobs in NS! It will suit my girl who recently lost her previous body xD
Now I just have to waaaaait xD

 

I just got my Snowdrop about a week ago and I love her. I can already tell you that she will be my spoiled girl. Her little hands and face are so perfect. I have a Spiritdoll Proudbody Celtis as well, I love Spiritdolls so much!

Painted my girls nails! Painted all four pairs but only photographed these two. Not disappointed for my first try. I can always try again ^____^ but I'm happy for now

 

Wow! Reesey they look beautiful. I've always thought Spirit dolls hands elegant and beautiful enough to warrant having their nails painted. You certainly have shown this to be true !

 

I was told that some times you don't bond with the doll like you thought...I'm a bit upset considering how excited I was about getting a Snowdrop but I just...I can't seem to bond with her. No wigs I put on her help. I adore her body, but maybe I should have made her a boy ;n;
Does anyone have a similar story?
I plan on getting a boy spiritdoll in tan, but for now I'm selling my snowdrop...I don't know if its her face was just not what I originally thought it would be. Super sad about it...

 

You did a good job reesey! @sevenfawm I've had the same problem with Romy. I didn't think I wanted her anymore but really it was just her old body I didnt like. It was kind of a tough decision but decided to sell her body and when her new one arrived I was so much happier. If it was just her face you didnt like then maybe you could just sell the head and keep the body while you wait until you find a sculpt you like better?

Also experiment around with some better colors. All I had on me was a really basic candy color pink, white and red. Old acrylics from projects long passed xD
[MENTION=10295]Seven[/MENTION]fawn :: I'm super disappointed you weren't able to bond with a snowdrop! But that's how it happens sometimes. I bonded with Remy right away, but Lydia not so much. I adored her when I got her and she was just a head ( a boy head ) and I had sooo many plans and Ideas for her! I was fresh to the hobby so I didn't look into hybriding and I just bought a doll leaves body to put her on. I was excited for a little while because she had a body but it wasn't great... I made a dress for her and I adored her again but something was off. I hated her hands so I sold them and replaced them with a lovely pair of dollzone hands which made my love for her skyrocket! Then I got Remy and put Lydia's head on her while hers was out for faceup. I sold Lydia's body immediately and got a spiritdoll body and now... She's back on my good side. Sometimes it takes some time and a LOT of alteration before you can bond.

I keep taking breaks from this forum because you all make me want to go buy more Spiritdolls RIGHT NOW when I'm trying so hard to wait for Christmas in case they do a deal. I'm still set on a Candlenut in Tan, but my resolve is weakening toward the Smart girls as well. I'm going to ask for both sets of girl hands in addition to the boy body (mainly because of all the lovely Snowdrop photos), but now I want a girl body to hybrid with another doll I have. Money! Why don't you grow on trees? *shakes the palm trees outside*

@sevenfawm Have you thought about just changing her faceup to look more boyish to see if that helps? Most of my girls masquerade as boys, and unless you have the big bust option on your Snowdrop, you probably wouldn't know the difference under clothes.

 

Spiritdoll tan is lovely, I'm sure you will love your Candlenut

I wish I could take her off your hands, Sevenfawn... But when I get another snowdrop she'll have to be tan.

Oh yes, tan is where it's at. There is no doubt in my mind that my next Spiritdoll needs to be tan (my Cedar is normal and he's so pale!), mostly thanks to the tan Snowdrop pics. I never completely trust company photos, and Spiritdoll's make the tan look very dark in some cases. I just want a healthy suntan or Mediterranean look.

 

I can definitely recommend the tan resin, its beautiful. There are no sanding lines or pale patches and its not too dark. I think its lovely ( as I've probably said 100 times lol)

I've thought about getting a tanned boy body from spiritdoll. I love the weight of the resin so much, but none of their faces are what I want, and sadly the face I want is for a company that only does tan for events -_- and it's a new face *sigh* I'll probably keep looking or just give up and get that face in NS and get a body to match lol

 

Of course you do .... It's twice the fun : )

 

Oh so evil ... I guess we'll have to see what their Christmas event is >_<
