Spiritdoll 1/4 Smart Mini discussion Part 1

I ordered mine with the jointed torso (I always seem to go for more torso joints over fewer), so I'm no help in that department. From descriptions here, though, I'm thinking even more she's going to fit in well, and fit the wig I already have for her! It's a bit too tight for the current shell for her character (a LittleMonica Little Harmony doll), which I think is more the style than problems with the wig itself... fingers crossed it fits her well!

Reesey, she's so cute! I'm looking forward to your photos, the spam keeps me patient for my girl!

I have a little Sarubia Vicemage, and their head size is quite close, I'd say little Monica is a touch smaller, but only a touch) :/

 

Hm, I may need to change the style up a bit to make it fit, then... though I'll wait until Snowdrop's here so it's changed to fit her head instead of Irin's. (Then I have to decide what new hair color Irin gets... dolly problems!) I'll still keep my fingers crossed that it works, but restyling certainly won't be the end of the world, especially since it needs a bit anyway and I've just been waiting on the sculpt change/new arrival to actually do it.

Nah, throwing wrenches is my girl's tactic. I'm really not worried, honestly! I think the next size up wig would be too big, especially if I undid and redid the ponytail it's pulled into, which is a likely thing to happen anyway since it sits a bit low. I'm much more concerned about trying to work out Irin's new name and style once I swap them out!

 

Just making sure everyone does this, if you previously bought from spiritdoll make sure you update them on the new site so you can get points from your purchases from the old site! My points are definitely going to go towards my tan snowdrop x3 I'm leaning towards naming her Reno but my BF keeps telling me that's too much of a boys name. What do you guys think?

 

I think it goes well with Remy, but I called my tan Snowdrop Sydney, so I'm probably not a good person to answer Lol

 

Well... I'm sure Remy is a boys name also but I think it fits her. The only three Remy's I can think of are boys xD I already know her look. She's going to have purple eyes and possibly white hair. I'll try the wig I first got for Remy on her first though. That looked great on Remy before her face up. Now her faceup is thoroughly for the brown wig.

 

She sounds so lovely and unique ! And I know exactly what you mean about the face up determining the choice of wig and eyes. Oh and thank you for the Remy spam, lovely as always

 

No problem ^___^ I have to make some time to take some proper photos. I'm finally taking the time to make things that I can show off my girls in.

 

I personally think Reno's a perfectly good female name, Reesey! And while I don't personally know any Remys, I did once have a webcomic character with that name who was very definitely female, so I have no complaints with that one, either.

 

omg you're getting a tan snowdrop! Reno is a great name, sort of exotic, makes me think of palm trees and cocktails. Maybe everything reminds me of Giligans Island haha.

I wish the Dolce line was available in mini size, I just love their faces. I tried to log in to their new site but can no longer use my user name. Trying to retrieve my password didn't work either. I guess I'm not that bothered as I doubt I'll buy from them again (lol maybe)

Kacha I haven't ordered her just yet, I ordered Lydia's body. But I knew from the moment I saw snowdrop that I needed one in tan. She'll be my first tan doll.

 

Reno sound great to me Reesey, far more creative than Snow (it stuck ).... You could always spelling it in a 'girly' way if it makes it easier ^^ Like Reano or Renoe, etc...

 

Thanks ellipses. I think I would just leave it as Reno. I've always liked unisex names.

Reesey, how did you go about this update? I'd rather not lose the points off my Spiritdoll Proud when these Smarties are so tempting, but the FAQs don't mention anything about updating new accounts from the old site...

 

You can make a new account using your old credentials and then email feng letting her know your old account and the email address associated with it and she'll transfer your points over.

 

Sigune, I ended up sending Ying an email and he asked me to register again and let him know when I had. He answered my emails very quickly and has fixed mine.

I still didn't get how this points stuff works. I contacted them and received my points yesterday, however they're only 36 while I spent over than $1000 on dolls and dolls related things on the old website :/.

Site address hasn't changed but I think I need to clear my cookies because if I type it in I get the old site but if I google it I can get to the new site but it's the same url xD

hey guys, has any one ordered a doll right before they changed the website? i ordered my doll a little over a month ago and wanted to know my status and i have emailed and left comments and such. but now answers. i have been waiting for a reply for over a week.... i had to re make an acount on the site so i understand i cant get tracking on the site or see my order.. thats why i asked... has any one else had this problem?

 

They're a bit notorious for being late to reply Marceline, just because they're a really small company and they only have one English speaking representative... I'd give them a little time, but if you don't hear anything in say, 14 days, then I'd just email them again. Chances are your first email just got shuffled in the move :P

 

I've had my body ordered for only a week and I'm already getting antsy... So help me distract myself for a while you guys. Should I wipe Lydia's face up before or after her body gets here?

 

I would wipe if after, just in case you need to blush the head to match the resin... each batch is a bit different after all ^^

 

You know, I'm not too concerned with the resinmatch. She was about 97% with Remy's body so whatever I get I'm fine with. I was just happy to have an elegant body that her head fit perfectly on ( and was sooo much easier to take the head on and off xD I can't tell you how much I've injured myself and that head trying to take it off and get it back on ). Plus now I'll have a small bust and a large bust spirit body. It'll help in choosing what I want for my tan snowdrop but I'm pretty positive that she's going to have a small bust.

 

I had posted on the website feed back tab and was answered yesterday. i ordered my doll Aug. 2 and she is suppose to be leaving soon from the face up artist soon. i thought that was rather fast from what i have been looking at here an in other forms.

 

Has anyone tried putting their girls in high heeled shoes yet?

 

Haven't tried putting them in high heels yet(poor Bonnie is still shoeless) but I made her some pants the other day
And I got her a wig finally!

Have some wig pics while I figure out how to put the pant pics on my computer





Flash made it look funky, but it's so much prettier in real life, only problem I have is the bangs, which I need to fix eventually.

 

No high heels yet. I havent even gotten any regular shoes that fit her yet :p
i need some new clothes for her asap.

Thank you ladies. Glad to see all the snowdrops are doing well... even if they're mostly shoeless xD I'm lucky I have pretty thick socks for Remy so she's not doing too badly. Spiritdoll feet are just so narrow!

 

Yep! My Snow has been in regular MSD heels and Fairyland slim heels and they both work great... though she's a bit of a tricky stander in them (weak ankles TT^TT).... Sadly no pictures, but I can take some if you'd like ^^

- Fairyland Heels on the right (a bit of a squeeze, but they do fit quite nicely ^^ )

It's been so quiet in here for a while...

I'm crossing my fingers that my girl might ship soon; it's been almost six weeks, which isn't long, but looking at the average ship times, it does look like that's how long most previous (non-layaway) orders were taking, so I'm on pins and needles now waiting to see a status change!

The waiting list isn't really very helpful 'cause most of the orders on there are over a year old. The outfit she's wearing is in my shop and so I've censored it. And yeah she's not the center of attention anymore. I've been focusing on getting him wigged and get new hands. Currently she's headless in the storage chest because I haven't worked up the nerve to take out her faulty lashes. I need to redo them because clumsy me knocked them off.

 

Oh dear, lashes are fairly easy to fix!! I wish you luck, but it's always nerve wracking when it's on a professional faceup... I took eyelashes off a Soom limited faceup once...I was sooo nervous, my only suggestion, would to be go slow and use nice long tweezers ^^
