I would love to see people's Dragons blushed too, mine is still woefully blank as I haven't figured out exactly what I want haha : D At the moment I'm thinking about only getting the face and hands done and quite simply. Really worried about bodyblush chipping.
I am going to be blushing mine, but it is a case of finishing mods first for me. I can’t rush into it or I will end up with colour mismatches due to doing different parts at different times. It will be full body work, that’s why my doll is fully disassembled, but yeah, it has to happen when it happens and not be rushed haha.
Well if it helps, it took me something like four years to actually get around to blushing my Cuartos Darkhorn. I can only imagine my eventual She Is A Dragon may take just as long.
UPDATE Anna contacted me to say my Elf girl is ready to ship!!! ...but there is no EMS at the moment. She has given me the option of waiting or using regular air mail.....not sure what to do. I guess air mail from Russia to England will take a long time and it could be ages before EMS services return to anything like normal.
I would wait for the shipping to resume. I got regular air mail with tracking and it took 5 months to arrive. It spent 3.5 months in Russia before it even shipped out. Good luck.
@StrontiumDog Congratulations! I’m excited to see your girl I’m still waiting to hear back on mine, but I’m in no rush as I know there’s a lot of work in sanding the seams, etc. for Anna. No EMS shipping sounds awful I think Anna had to wait 30 days for the Elves when they shipped from the caster. 30 days would be better than 5 months, but it probably depends on which country their shipping to and shipping from. I’m not sure which I’d chose, probably just wait and hope EMS shipping starts soon.
@aliquotiens and @calliope13 - pre-order is the 20th 0f Feb' to 7th of March!!! @Inspired - thank you. Well I have set my expectations at 5 months...so anything quicker will be a bonus.
...too weak to resist....must order another Elf girl.... * feverishly taps at keyboard* ....'tis done.... *squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee*
@aliquotiens - Congratulations!! Yeah, she does look to have an amazing range. Went for Enya too, full package in Skin3. Order additional Enya heads first time round, so it will mean my Letizia won't have to share her body. Anyone else ordered yet?
@StrontiumDog I ordered a Letizia in the new Twilight colour. I considered getting in on the previous pre-order but couldn't swing it, but when I saw the new fantasy colours any resolve to not order a doll this year melted away I debated for sooo long between Letizia and Enya, in the end I decided that Enya looked too young for the type of character I wanted to make. I hope I get to see a lot of Enyas around though!
@Rivon - congratulations! Great to hear you were able to make Letizia happen....in that amazing colour. Really looking forward to seeing her! Completely agree that Enya could look younger compared to the other girls, but the face up can make a big difference. It's interesting how we can all look at a sculpt and know if it's right for one of our characters.
@StrontiumDog thank you! I have seen some owner pictures of Enya where she definitely does not look as young as she might do blank, but I just felt like Letizia best fit what I want to achieve. Enya is an incredibly beautiful sculpt though, I would love to see what you do with yours! now begins the hunt for clothes and shoes, her feet size doesn't seem too difficult to find things for, but I'm notoriously bad at getting shoes for my dolls.
The more I see these cute elf girls the more I want one (but I know I don't do well with female dolls). I need to just be patient and wait for more dragons in pretty colours.
@Quiet and Insane ...*hehehe* kinda know what you mean about seeing BJds you love the look of, but knowing you don't do that gender. I have long struggled with male BJDs. There are loads I love the look of and have own a number, but they just don't stay. Still tempted by a dragon myself but am just going to wait and see... Update on shipping; there was a problem with the first attempt to send my parcel. Anna kept me informed of what was happening and the fact that it was returned to her. Today she let me know the package has re-shipped...looks like EMS, so hopefully a more swift journey this time.
Similar to female and really child-like dolls. They're just not my thing. There are exceptions and conditions that can help a doll stay, but it's rare. Fingers crossed it gets to you safely and swiftly. Postage is still shocking right now.
I’ve asked Anna to wait to ship my elves with the sky blue dragon who is to arrive sometime in March. I’m glad to hear EMS shipping may be working again There was an order mixup so I won’t get Gloriana in the Dark chocolate, but will still have Enya in Dark Chocolate for my Egyptian theme doll. I’ll be getting a small Scareb friend for her. Can’t wait to see her in person and start getting her clothes and everything together I was able to get Gloriana in the Toffee so at least I’m still able to have her sculpt along with the Toffee Letizia faceplate for my fashion model themed doll. I have a couple outfits for her, but not sure how they’ll fit so will find out when she’s here. I’m excited to see everyone’s pictures of their elves and dragons. They’re such beautiful sculpts
@Rivon - ooh...do you have an idea about which shoes you are going for? Foot wear is the one thing I have always been a complete obsessive about. Just one of my girls can easily have 30 pairs of footwear!!! @Inspired - good idea on getting all your orders shipped at the same time. Positive news about shipping - my parcel from Anna has only taken 2 days to get out of Russia!!...so it looks like EMS is picking up speed. It sounds like, despite a mix up, you're girls will work out @Inspired. Very keen to see your Egyptian themed girl.
@StrontiumDog That many shoes for each doll sounds like hobby goals I'm going full-on fantasy with my girl, so I need shoes that don't look too modern, I was thinking of ordering a couple of pairs from nymphodisiac on etsy, their work looks awesome. I hope your package gets to you quickly! Be sure to post pictures
@StrontiumDog That’s awesome news I’m excited for you. At least in regards to shoes for Enya, it should be easy to find some sandals. Gloriana will need a lot of different styles though. I’m looking forward to seeing what works for them.
Spirit Imprint elf girl Letizia by fyrphern, on Flickr She has arrived. Just 7 days in transit...straight through customs. no delays...and she's home. Will go and have a little play and get to know her. I had my first Covid vaccination less than 3 hours ago, saw an amazingly bold rainbow on the way home and then my elf girl landed...what a morning!!!
2021-03-19 (18) by fyrphern, on Flickr Well she stands and poses straight outta the box. Her joints are fantastic, great range and holds positions firmly. Hands and feet are easy to change...same with face plates and even head backs. The Toffee resin is beautiful...smooth, even colour. For such a small doll she has great details and a high level of finish. Seams are pretty much invisible. I cannot find fault and am beyond happy.
@StrontiumDog she looks amazing! Congratulations on her arrival! I'm getting even more hyped for my Letizia now, she looks so expressive Do you have a specific style planned for yours?
woah congrats on her arrival She does looks fantastic! And that toffee colour looks beautiful, I think this is the first owner pic of toffee elf I've seen!
Elf Girl Enya by fyrphern, on Flickr Here's Enya.... Experimented with eyes and found some that I really like for her...of course, they are not the colour I had planned, but that's how things go right? @Rivon - thank you. Between the posing ability and the wonderful hands, she is very expressive. Style? Hmmm...well, it's going to be more about what I can cobble together. She is very slim and even Minifee clothing is loose. @robin raihana - thank you. To my eye, the Toffee colour has a lovely warm undertone. I had expected a slightly more yellow tone, but the actual hue is beautiful.
@StrontiumDog Enya is soo beautiful I'm glad to hear that you like the toffee resin! Its colour looks so different depending on lighting in the pictures that I'm not sure what the colour actually looks like As for clothes, do you think clothes for 16" fashion doll would fit? She does looks slim, maybe tops for yosd would even fit her? Also I wish my Enya would arrive soon, but the shipping status hasn't changed at all for 2 weeks (should I be worried?)
@StrontiumDog Congratulations! Both Letecia and Enya are gorgeous and the toffee looks amazing I love the colors in the sweater Enya is wearing. I’m looking forward to hearing which clothes fit her and also to seeing more pictures
@robin raihana - thank you. Yeah, different light and monitors will make a difference. Toffee is a good description, cos it looks edible Clothes - the white one piece in my second pic is a Tonner Tyler item. It's a bit long and generally loose, but could be adapted. Not sure which other 16" fashion dolls would work...maybe FR16, as they're a little slimmer. The Minifee leggings on Enya work, but again a little loose over all. 2 weeks of sitting there is what happened to mine. The parcel was returned to Anna because there was a query with the address. Hopefully yours will shift very soon or go back to Anna for a new and speedy trip. @Inspired - yeah, liking to colours on Enya too... the sweater is Iplehouse JID/FID sized...makes a cosy, but baggy dress.
Yeah hopefully the parcel moves soon or maybe it will suddenly arrive out of nowhere otherwise I need to contact Anna..
I’m happy to hear minifee clothing fits, even if loose as I have that size on hand. I also have a couple outfits sized for popovy doll that I’m hoping will fit although the popovy dolls waist measurement is slimmer than the elves so I’m not sure they’ll work. I bought them for my elf model character because they’re beautiful, so fingers crossed.
I’ve seen more owner pics of elves on Instagram. Gloriana and Letecia are sooo gorgeous. Enya looks so sweet. Has anyone else received their Elf? Editing to add that I’ve been researching ancient Egyptian goddesses for my Enya character and I think I’ll have to wait until she gets here to see which one she most resembles. Lots of ideas though so I’ll definitely need to narrow down the choices
Edited - found more elves and dragons on Instagram. There are so many different and gorgeous looks for them
Yay I've received my Enya She was stuck in custom for almost two weeks. Yesterday I went to custom to pay tax (and the tax is actually less than my total fare trip orz) but finally I got to bring her home! She is so beautiful! The resin feels really nice and heavy, and I was surpised how big she is! (My first doll is 15cm tiny and my other dolls is Barbie and MH dolls, so yeah, I think she is huge! can't imagine an SD lol) My other surprise is the resin colour, toffee looks much lighter in person than I thought. But it still is nice. She's very poseable! I am still trying all the poses she can
@ Inspired @ Quiet and Insane thank you! I am currently going to all my saved tutorials and things and I realized that it's probably not a good idea to use my years old MSC for face up.. Also her head is so tiny, almost as small as a barbie head! Maybe I should send her to face up artist instead
Hmm I've had cans I've MSC for years, and never had issues with them. I just try and keep them a little bit warmer than room temperature before I need them and then I give them a thorough shake for 5-10 minutes. But for such a tiny face I can see why an artist would be a good idea.
I’ve received my elves and dragon. Their posing is great and I love the detail in their sculpts. Now that they’re here, I’m not sure if my original plans will work so I have a lot of ideas floating around. I’m looking forward to getting their faceups as that will help them develop their own personality and style. There are a lot more owners on Instagram now so I’m enjoying all the different styles. They’re all so beautiful
I'm very much enjoying seeing all the elves as they arrive and get their face ups too! Maybe that'll be enough to stop me from spending money.
I managed to paint my dragon. I struggled a bit putting her back together. Has anyone made clothes for these?
@cheesedemon88 I have a lovely dragon boy I got home in 2018, and where as I have not made clothing for my Dragon. I found my boy can wear some Barbie and Ken outfits. So here is a photo of my boy Tia in his Wonder Woman shirt
@Tippetarius love him, looking great. I already have barbie clothes for my Soom fairies, might be worth a look, thanks.
