Spirit Doll 66cm Girls!

She is the cutest thing, I should find the tan one, I'm getting into tan dolls lately >_<

 

I would love to see a Spirit Doll body next to a Soom Super Gem body...anybody have both?? Pictures would be greatly appreciated!

My soom cuprit just got here and I bought my Freesia with a custom face-up last month, she should be here by the 25th of this month. So i will post pics for you.

I really like the shape of her eyes. I really cant wait!

I'm so very tempted to get a tan gal. I love Jade and Cyathea--not sure which one I like better. I do like the slightly open mouth sculpt that Jade has. From the looks of the joints it looks like these will be good posers.

I received my NS medium bust girl body just a couple days ago..I really like it..it stands rock solid even on high heel feet! I tried my Elfdoll head on it and as Twigling told me it was a little small..{neck would need a little modding} but then I got a Minimee girl head in and WOW the fit is perfect, and even though the minimee is more on the white side it matches colorwise too because Spiritdoll NS is on the pale side...its a perfect body for my new super model..

As anyone done a resin match test yet with DoD? Not that I'd get another doll yet (I'm broke with paying for incoming ones) but for future reference it would be good. I love Dafodill.

I've been looking at Freesia, because she would be perfect for one of my elf characters... if only she had elf ears! But if I finally get her, I'll send her to someone who does elf ear mod commissions, I guess.

 

I'm finally ordering a spirit doll body for my floating head. How long did people have to wait for bodies to arrive?

 

I was told 2-3 weeks but it arrived much faster than that.

Yes, the girls are lovely. Their sculpts are measurably more subtle than the line of guy dolls that came before. Not that the guys are bad, there's just been a leap in artistry, I think. I've been looking for a guy to go with my latest gal, and once I'd strongly considered Thorn or Abies, but now not so much. My interest has been piqued by another company. However, I am definitely making a note for Cyathea or Daffodil.

Sometimes I wish I was filthy rich . . . My doll collection would be scary inspiring.

 

Oh man! The Spirit Doll tan and grey resins are so stunning! XD I'm still smitten with Jade.

 

I must ask, do they really weight 4,5 kg? It says so on the site and that just sounds like a lot! Most dolls that size don't weight more than 2 kg, I think.

 

I guess it's the weight of a fully packaged doll, complete with boxes, newspaper, bubblewrap etc. - since that's the weight you have to pay shipping for...

When I packaged my dolls a 2kg one easily became a 4kg package that way

 

After two months impatient wait, I finally got my spiritdoll body. I love it, it poses so beautifully!
The only problem is that the top of the lower torso piece is floating, so everytime I want to move the top of her torso in any way, I have to maneuver that into place. Has anyone else had this problem, or is it simply a matter of them forgetting to glue it in place? Also, what glue would be best to hold it in place?

 

of course! I'm just so used to lightweight MSD dolls...

Could you post a photo of what you mean? I'm interested in knowing more about how the body works.

kawaii_mon, I think you're supposed to glue that floating torso piece in. That's what I did with mine. I used superglue.

I'm going to barge right in here and ask some questions of you knowledgeable folks: So it seems from the posts here that the wait for a Spiritdoll could be anywhere between 3 weeks to 2 months, is that correct? I'm thinking about getting a non-faceup NS Jade. Long waiting wouldn't phase me, I'm just wondering.

And I read on an earlier page in here that they wear 9-10 wigs? I would like to know what you all think, and your experiences with different company wigs. Thanks!

 

I have never had to wait longer than 3 weeks for a doll or head from them but I have heard of others waiting longer ... especially when body blushing and faceups are involved. Spirit doll girls have small heads and 9-10 wigs are too big for them. Please buy 8-9 inch wigs.

I actually lucked out and found a NS Spiritdoll body right here in the MP, so I don't have to pay for a whole doll from the company now (the shipping price was scary!). I ordered my (non face-up) Jade head right away and I am very excited for them to both get here within a short time of each other. The body looks so beautiful and Jade is perfect for what I have planned for her.

 

Anyone knows if Elfdoll girl head would fit on this body?

 

Not without neck modification. The Spiritdoll neck is too thick, the Elfdoll head just kinda teeters on the top. If you sanded it a bit and made it thinner it might work.

 

I love Jade ~~ I want to take her home~~~But how can I buy her dress....?

Considering the neck size issue I mentioned before, I would think they'd only work on girls with larger necks such as Volks, Elfdoll, etc. (though even then they may need modification, as the elfdoll head is too small for the spiritdoll body) The neckhole is definitely too big for a Delf body.

 

Ok, thanks - that helps me. I love the Jade head, and may consider her in future, when I'm looking for a complete doll. But the character I'm thinking of would not be that tall, so back to the drawing board! It's fine, as it saves me $80 right now. Thank you very much, kawaii_mon!

 

Well, I originally ordered an Abies head yesterday and paid for it, then realised Spirit doll are having an event head deal at present. So I placed an order for Jade and am hoping I can swap my payment for the Abies head to a deposit on Jade with Abies as the event head. I was trying to decide whether I wanted Jade or Lotus more, then saw the new photos of Jade and fell in love. I'm going to have to get her regardless now.

 

Well, I'm now wondering if the photos of the Beijing doll show are of a female Camphor so I'm keeping the Abies order and getting Jade (when I make the paypal payment I'm going to request a large bust body). I'll also order Camphor and see if I can get a Lotus head with him. Then down the track, I'll look at getting a couple more female bodies.

 

Is there a list somewhere of what clothing and shoes fits these girls?

 

I find that what fits my husband's Super Gem fits these girls just fine.

Sigh, I've got a Jade on order and was planning to make my first layaway payment today, only to find out that my hubby had neglected to lodge his contract renewal at work so we got a half pay. Typical hubby. He knew they wouldn't pay him if he didn't lodge it as well. What is it with men? Next fortnight we get 3 weeks pay but it doesn't help today.

 

Is this true for shoes, as well?

 

The heel feet fit the same heeled shoes fine (my girl is currently wearing a pair of Soom Cass shoes that fit perfectly), but the flat feet are a touch larger, and I find fit best into SD13 boys shoes, or Model Doll girl's shoes.

 

When you're ordering from Spiritdoll, can you request which bust part you'd like on the females? 'Cause I'd love a Lotus with a small bust, without having to spend $60 on another bust part, and then just have a spare set of boobs laying around xD;

 

No, you have to take the medium bust and order a small or large as an extra.

I find my girl poses really nicely. Their measurements are similar to Super Gem girls, so I think you'll have better luck fitting them into super gem/model doll clothes than SD13 girl clothes. I make quite a bit of clothes for the bigger girls, and find she fits into anything I make for Super Gem fine. She'll squeeze into sd13 boy stretchy tops, but the sleeves aren't long enough.

 

I've got my Jade and she's lovely. Posing is wonderful. I haven't tried much clothing on her so can't really help you.
