Souldoll Zenith Girls Discussion

Are there any hybrids forZenith girls? I'd love to see the possible combinations

 

I tried the Shiva head on a Withdoll Senior girl body on request once. I've also photographed a Zenith head on an old Delf girl body, but I can't find it right now. I posted it to one of the souldoll threads on DoA, I think. It looked a bit odd because the Delf neck is super thin. I don't have any actual hybrids, though.

 

Aw it's a shame that delf bodies won't work because they look really nice and I've heard that they're actually pretty posable. I think Shiva looks pretty good on the Senior WD body, do you know if their normal skins match? And how is the newest Zenith body compared to the SWD? Is the difference very obvious? Thanks for the information about them

 

I don't know what the Souldoll normal skin is like, so I can't answer anything to the resin match. I've heard it's okay, but I don't have personal experience. And yes, the difference is obvious, as Zeniths are 64cm and Withdolls are 58cm.

I don't have the new Zenith body as a whole anymore (I switched the torso), so I can't take proper comparisons but I found the Zenith/Delf photo I took before. Withdoll is about the same size as the Delf:

This is the old Zenith double body with heels on vs. Delf girl with shoes (the heels are a little bit taller so the difference with flat feet isn't quite as huge).

Here's a headswap without wigs & with wigs. It isn't as bad looking as I remembered, considering that the Delf neck is too thin even for the Delf heads. The bobble-headedness is the biggest reason I let go of my Delf girl. But Luts has done something to the type3 neck, so it might be thicker now.

 

@Yenna That's quite the difference o-o I think the old Zenith body looks a lot better compared to the new one...she just looks too rigid :/

Hi I've only tried my Zenith Girl head on a Mirodoll 60cm girl. The proportions look natural with the head. I don't have a full body photo but will take one in the next few days to share how it looks. I hope to try an Iplehouse YID body with a modified neck at some point.

Hi Yenna that's too bad about the wig. No one wants a horse hair look for their doll... well unless it's a horse of course, lol. Thanks for the heads up about the Zenith body and I am really leaning more towards Iplehouse yid modification. I will still see what I can do to reduce the Souldoll bust. Sigh.... It would be great if Souldoll would bring back the old body as an option . Looking forward to seeing your photos .

 

@PennyDes Thanks for the hybrid information! It's great that proportions are okay on mirodoll, their bodies are great for the price. I hope she'll work on a nyid body with a modded neck, good luck with your hybrid

 

I was also thinking about finding another body for my Isabel doll, because I also think the body is generally too big for my tase as i prefer bodies like old supiadoll and lillycat lune body. I think the zenith body is too huge and stiff, and the boobs are too much. The old version was better i think. So i guess I will try to see if I find a body a bit smaller.

Sorry for doble post, but does some of you have any tips about a body that is pretty/ nicely shaped and a bit petite to fit her head?

 

Hi bunny lungs I've had good experience so far with a Mirodoll 60cm girl body (small bust). The body I used is second hand and tan skin but will be airbrushed to match eventually. The proportions are good for Souldoll Zenith Girl heads and Mirodoll does have normal skin that I have read is a good match to Souldoll NS. Mirodoll is not a good poser however. I am going to try my Zenith Girl head on Iplehouse NYID body sometime this winter. I will post how it turns out. In the meantime here is a link to my Swinte on a Mirodoll body. I fiiinally have a photo of my Jina, Ye Rin. I just couldn't handle the horse-hair-alpaca wig, so I waited for a temporary fiber one. I now have my eye on an either alpaca or a mohair custom wig from an artist whose style and construction fits my requirements and I'll be contacting them soon about getting her her actual wig. Until then, she's sporting this fiber one I cut and styled to at least slightly resemble her actual hairsyle.


Poor girl also needs clothes, but I haven't done research into bodies yet, so I'm not sure how much clothing I should be making for her yet. She mostly wears pants and I know for a fact that if I make pants for the Zenith body, they won't fit any other possible bodies. Zeniths have ginormous thighs. But at least I got so far as to remove the copper manicure the hands had (it was chipped), and I can now re-do it in more neutral tones so that Iria can keep on borrowing her body until I get Ye Rin her own, lol.

 

Has anyone tried to place a supia doll Ariel head on either the soul kids N.L. Girl body, soul Vito girl body or the new double Zenith girl body? I would love to see what it looks like and which body do you think would look best with the head?

I've also had my eye on Iplehouse's Elvira and Lydia and I'm struggling to find out which one to buy as my first bjd

 

Hello, I've my eye on Lime but I want to hybrid as an andrognous boy. Anyone know how doll family resin matches? I'm looking at their 56cm boy boy, it's close to soul folks neck circumference and shoulder width

 

I have a Souldoll Swinte. Her head is indeed small. She takes a size 7/8 wig.

 

I have a Souldoll Swinte...and her feet are gigantic. I am having trouble finding shoes for her. Any one else running into a similar problem?

 

Only everyone who owns Zeniths. They only reliably wear Souldoll's own shoes and their selection is very small. Other shoes I've had for my girls are Dollmore model girl shoes (though I had to sand the heeled feet a bit to fit into one pair), and Lut's Senior Delf boy shoes. Other male shoes will likely fit as well, because the flat feet are the same size as on my older Dollshe Hound body, but they're often very wide-looking. Heeled (and otherwise feminine) shoes are much, much more difficult to find.

 

I figured that was going to be the case. I put her heeled feet on and I found some boots on eBay that fit her that way. What a pain in the butt!
I wonder if Souldoll did that on purpose to increase sales of their items.

Sorry to intrude - I just came by and noticed the question about feminine shoes for the recent Zenith girl body. Well, my Briseas wears these from Dollmore, even without heel sanding, and they fit perfectly. They have them in other colors as well. Some of them seem to be a fraction too small in the front piece, but still fit. These shoes fit our Zenith girls as well: Model F Macy boots, ankle cut enamel boots, Diora shoes. They have them in other colors as well.

BTW, I find the way they measure their shoes quite confusing... but Dollmore have a long history of helping out owners of odd sized dolls which can only wear their own company's things.

I'm looking at Souldoll's Zenith girls right now (Specifically Swinte ) and I notice that the Zenith body is rather generous in the bust department! It seems they have a small breast part for sale to fit Vito girls, but what about Zenith? Any smaller bust options? Or, if I decided I wanted smaller breasts, would I have to put her head on another company's body?

 

Yeah, I’ve asked Souldoll several times about the small bust but so far they are only considering it for possible future projects. So you will most likely need to find an alternative body if you want small bust for your girl. My Souldoll girls (Swinte and Anaele) share a Mirodoll 60cm girl body small bust version and I’m in the process of modifying an Iplehouse nYID doll so the neck is small enough to accept the Souldoll head. IMO Swinte’s sculpt is one of their best face sculpts .

You’re welcome and unless I’m mistaken, I think Mirodoll is having a winter sale. No modification is required for the Souldoll girls head to fit and it makes for more of a petite look as their bodies are shorter in stature.

But no full body ones. I’ll try to get one for you this evening. Don’t be alarmed at the color difference my Swinte is normal skin and the body I bought second hand is tan. It’s my project body to learn blushing and how to suede so color didn’t matter. I think Mirodoll normal is supposed to be a pretty good resin match to Souldoll normal but ask around as I’m not totally sure. Mirodoll themselves might be able to answer that question for you too. Unfortunately they are not the highest quality out there but for the money I’ve felt it’s worth it. As far as posing, the body is terrible...and I guess they are known for that according to some reviews I’ve read. I’ve heard sueding helps with that though. I’m not sure what clothes fit them as Iplehouse clothes are far too baggy. Their overall form isn’t too bad for the price. I personally feel that the Zenith girl heads are in excellent proportion to the body. Wow... what a long ramble... I hope some of that is helpful, lol.

I recently tried my Karin head on a Peakswoods girl body and the proportions are really great. Neck to head fit is flawless and the resin match is workable. I was trying a white head on and older PW body and it looks like the PW white might yellow more quickly than SD.
Peakswoods is high quality and the bodies have excellent posing with pretty joints. Comes with a small bust option and a few feet and hand options. I was skeptical about their engineering because they are so slender, but after owning one and handling several I definitely want a girl body too. She fits all kinds of readily available Graffiti-sized clothing, too.

I collected my Souldoll Sharon in their 'sandy brown' skin from my friend last Saturday, and I'm in love with her~ Her lips and eyes are just so beautiful! Now comes the task of finding a body with a skin tone that mostly matches this one, as I don't think I'm going to be able to afford the Zenith body in SB any time soon/prefer the older version anyway.

Hello all. I just purchased a Paratiisi in normal skin with faceup directly from Souldoll and I know I have a long wait. I am curious if anyone can share photos of your dolls and ideas where to find clothing and shoes or better yet patterns that fit them. I am super excited. She is my 40th birthday present.

But I can't help much with clothing, as I've barely bought anything for my girls. I know that tops tailored for the newer SG female body fit (old ones are too big), but Zenith's have insane hips and thighs so pants probably won't fit unless they're really loose. Shoe options are basically... large SD13 boy shoes, some Dollmore model doll female shoes and Souldoll with their tiny selection. ^^; I feel like every single doll Souldoll makes, has odd-sized feet.

 

Wow. I've just ordered a Souldoll Zenith Abigail and now I'm reading the news of Souldoll that some dolls will be discontinued from 30 sept., including my Abigail.

To be honest I sort of saw this coming, I always thought that Souldoll produces a lot of new facesculpts so often to the point it's not sustainable. And they have these mass discontinuations before. I'm having a second look at some of the heads but don't feel a pull at the moment. Hope everyone gets what they want.

 

I just ordered a zenith Vasilla head because she's about to be discontinued but I just realised that I will probably have enough money to buy her body this month as well. Should have just ordered the whole doll and got the summer event free shipping discount rather than paying for shipping on her head. Oh well. At least I'll receive 2 packages in the mail!

 

Doll nudity

I forgot to post my Souldoll Sharon in here after she got her Supia body, so I plopped her on it and took a quick photo. The proportions are really nice imo. The neck is a little big for the head, but nothing that isn't manageable. This is Supia's new Light Tan in natural light - I had to edit Souldoll's Sandy Brown to match, as it's much more pale/ashy than Supia's warm tones. I'll try and fix that with a faceup and maybe later dye her If anyone is interested in any more pictures of this hybrid, I can get some in December!

I only have a Soom Super Gem body to try it on but don’t think that helps :/ And I think Zenith heads are known to be too small for Super Gems.

 

I've got an Agnetha head on a Bobobie 60 body and she looks just fine.

Good news (new discovery for me anyway lol) regarding shoes for the flat feet on these girls! I discovered Volks SD size girl boots fit very well! Not sure if any Volks will fit the high heel feet yet.

 

Omg you got Aspa . I was so so tempted by her when she was released. And wow she's such a stunner. She looks amazing. That outfit is so beautiful too.

I imagine this is dark sandy brown resin right? How is the color? I know brown resins are notoriously bad to photograph so would you say the color in your picture us accurate?

 

Thanks! I would say the skin tone looks more accurate than Souldoll’s pictures, she has a much warmer tone than the sales page shows.
Here is a comparison of the skin tone between my tan Karin and dark sandy brown Aspa (probably not a fair comparison since Karin is almost 10 years old but still interesting), very similar in tone but Karin is slightly darker (and her color still looks amazing!):
