Souldoll Waiting Room V10

My weekly plea to see a Millie with faceup, if anyone has one yet!!

 

I ordered a blank NS Angel Persephone in back in September, paid in full. I love the Persephone sculpt but the real reason I placed the order (and in NS) is because they were offering Junia Animal Ver. as a gift head! She's been one of my grails for years so I jumped at the opportunity to get her. I'm planning to put her on Persephone's body and sell the Persephone head unless it's love at first sight.

It sounds like Souldoll is pretty behind on orders at the moment so I expect it'll be at least a few more months until my doll comes in! I'm trying to be as patient as I can.

 

I sent mine off for a faceup, I'll upload a pic when she's back.

 

My Linzy was shipped today as promised! It took 116 SK work days from order to being shipped (172 calendar days).

 

Awesome, did you order her in the P Lavender Blue colour? I'd love to see more pics of this skin tone. I'm currently 131 calendar days in to my wait, and Souldoll told me the shipping would be at the end of Feb, so that checks out to around when yours got shipped. Fingers crossed I see mine soon, too.

 

Yes, I did get her in P Lavender Blue, without face-up and without wings. I did get heel feet for her.

I'll try to post some pics when she arrives, but I'm afraid that my phone camera isn't very reliable, colours always look wildly different between my phone and my laptop and other people's laptops, so even if I get them to look OK on one of my devices, it can still be inaccurate for other people. Still will post her. I also have Elfin in coral purple, so I'll do some comparisons.

So I guess Soul Doll had just forgot to email me my notice and tracking number, because I had a surprise on my lunch break! My Millie came, she's so cute! They also send an extra small bust, heeled feet, and hands as gifts.

Eeeee my Ricia has shipped! I ordered her on July 13th, so it's been a little over six months. I can't wait to see her!

 

I'm at just over 4 month waiting for my doll + faceup + outfit. I was told end of February, but I think it's more likely to be late March or even April before I'll see her, based on the ordering/shipping times I'm seeing here.

Ooh, I also ordered my lavender kids in July. Hopefully it means they'll ship soon!

 

@Dybbuk She's going to be a character of mine that's inspired by the Onna-musha and shinchu. I want to make her a big pair of moth wings!

 

Eun-Woo is on the way! Ordered on 7/18/23, she shipped out on 1/28/24. That's about a six month turnaround. I can't wait until she's here!!!

What feels like a never-ending wait continues! I'm now at exactly 5 months.

 

My Zenith girl head just shipped which I was not expecting tbh but at least this means I can figure out what eye size I want for her...

 

I'm hitting the 8 month mark for my Lavender Blue Aspyn! I did pay via layaway so I'm guessing she won't be shipped for another 2 months~ Gotta be strong!!!

 

She got here safe! I ordered her through Souldoll, I emailed and asked them if they planned to re-release her soon, and they offered to make me one! I know they're going through a lot of changes right now, but if you want one, you could ask if they'd do one for you.



She's so beautiful in the normal skin! I had only ever seen her in tan.



I ordered her unstrung to save on shipping. I'd never strung a double-jointed doll before, only a single-jointed one, so stringing her was an adventure. But they packaged her incredibly well and labelled everything. I had to wait several extra months, so they also included extra hands and heel feet for free! She's got a temporary wig at the moment, but I'll try to take some photos of her soon all put together and post a gallery.

 

Ahhh she's so cute @industrious.jenn, congrats on the arrival! It's really cute how they've labelled the parts! Souldoll boxes that ship strung soulkids are massive next to all my other doll boxes, I wonder if they could reduce the shipping fees by downsizing the packaging a smidge

 

@industrious.jenn : WOW! I love her face sculpt. She is so gorgeous blank! Their double bodies are crazy to string, but glad you got her together I can't wait to see her all done up... she's one sculpt that is very rare to see!

@cobaltconduct : 10000% agree... Their kid boxes are so huge compared to other company dolls. I wonder why they make them so large considering their dolls are on the smaller/slimmer side.

 

Do Vitos ship in the same box perhaps? But that would be a little too short and still way too high... Such a mystery! At least the pillows are very plump

 

Just messaged Souldoll again about my order since they previously told me it'd be shipped end of Feb, but they just replied and said it's delayed again until the end of March sigh.

For the record, I ordered 2 blank dolls in P.Lavender blue from their choice event (1 girl, 1 boy, layaway finished in Sept, original expected ship date was Dec)

 

@Setsura Sorry to hear that Setsura... poor Souldoll is really riding the struggle bus to get back to a timely delivery schedule. I hope they can manage to get back on their feet soon. I just saw a Linzy was delivered, so hoping that means they've already started casting the P. Lavender dolls and will start have those going on out asap.

 

Thank you! My shipping estimate to the States was cut in half, so it's worth an ask. I was half-worried she'd arrive in one big bubble-wrapped bag and I'd have to figure out what piece went where, but everything was so organized! The only thing was that they forgot to send her wrist and foot s-hooks, so I had to borrow Quinn's while I wait for Ricia's to come in the mail.

She is super rare! I'm so excited because I've had a lot of trial-and-error on my hunt for an Asian lady to go with my favorite guy, and so far she fits my vision the best. If the weather will cooperate, she might be getting a faceup next week, in which case I'll be posting a gallery for her soon!

Hello all! I ordered my first souldoll Angel Persephone light version in lavender blue—I ordered in October 2023, and here we are in March 2024 and I haven’t heard anything from the company. My question is: about how long is the wait time for Souldoll? I don’t expect anything like Dollshe with whom I ordered my first bjd ever and STILL haven’t received, and probably never will, but is six months or more usual for Souldoll?

 

Hey there! Unfortunately Souldoll had some issues with their staff being sick (I believe) and things have gotten behind. I placed an order in early August and they told me my order should ship end of March - though it might be end of March/early April. Sounds like you might receive yours a touch after that time. And you can always go on their site and ask for a time estimate. They’re usually pretty good about getting back to you within a few days.

 

Thanks, that is good to know! I feel better now. After basically Dollshe running off with $600 of mine and never getting the doll, unfortunately I (and a lot of people) are less trusting of companies now. I feel better knowing that’s not how souldoll is!

 

Just reached out to Souldoll to ask about my order (NS Angel Persephone + bonus Junia Animal head, ordered in Sept and paid in full) and they said that they expect to ship it next Friday!! I'm trying to be patient but it's been such a long wait and Junia Animal has been a grail since I started the hobby. Just a little longer!

 

I emailed SoulDoll and they say my Millie (with faceup and outfit) will ship next Friday. Here's hoping!!

 

Unfortunately I did not receive a shipping notice today. :-(

I dont mind waiting, but I would just prefer if they gave a more generous estimate for shipping instead of saying they will ship on x date and they don't meet it....I know it's realistically not a big deal, but it always feels a little sucky to get your hopes up and then it doesn't happen, and then they tell you it's delayed again.

I'm glad I didn't organise faceups for them based on their estimated time and decided to wait for delivery first, I would've had to cancel and explain the situation to the artists. Feeling a little doubtful already about their estimate of end of March to me, I just hope they can sort everything out soon.

It seems like they've got so many orders they probably should've stopped and taken action 3 releases ago already, but hindsight is 20/20. I don't doubt their sincerity given their track record, but it feels frustrating as a customer sometimes nonetheless.

 

I agree with you @Setsura . I think Souldoll got in over their heads with their back to back releases... and to be fair, they've always been a wonderful company but their dolls never seemed as prolific as other BJD brands, so I think they got used to their steady stream of customers and maybe thought they could handle more. As of late I've seen a lot more orders and interest in their CAD releases (which is great). But each release, they've tackled new resin colors, special parts etc....

I think that the uptick in so many orders with a huge amount of releases, coupled with the illness of their faceup artist just made them lose momentum big time.

I posted on their Q&A almost a week ago inquiring about my order that is now past the 8 month mark, but no response. Just will have to wait and see of course...

 

Still no communication from SoulDoll. I'm getting a little fed up. I paid in full at the start, and it's now been more than 6 months.

 

I also feel very frustrated at this point. I read one of their replies in QA which mentioned that they split up manufacturing orders via colour/size (and that it's going very slowly unfortunately). But it doesn't make any sense to me. There have been people who ordered ws/ns heads only in December and gotten them already. If you're really allocatinh staff via colour and size like this, then why is there such a big difference between the head only orders and the rest? If you can get a head out that fast, shouldn't you allocate more staff to these other orders that have been waiting for ages?

Alas, there's nothing I can do but speculate, which still doesn't give anwers, and there's nothing I can really do except for keep waiting, but I really wish that they'd be more transparent about what is going on at the moment. Maybe even notices every so often that say things like 'Hey guys, we're up to July orders right now' and or 'Hey, we're delayed on the lavender for xxx reason but the ws head only can be done in the meantime so we're working on that'.

It just sucks to feel lied about ship dates even if their intentions are good, and to not know what's going on at all.

 

It has been eight months now and I am still waiting for my Bella.

 

Same. I ordered and paid in full on August 6th. They told me mine should ship end of March but I’m not holding my breath. Wouldn’t surprise me if it didn’t ship until well into April or even May at this point. Unfortunately not much anyone can do but wait.

 

Same here, I've been waiting since July for my Millie.

 

I just sent a message in their QA to ask about the production time, asking if they could be more transparent about it and make some announcements regarding the status or what's going.

I expressed that everyone is really start to feel the heat and frustrated now, and it's okay if you need more time, bit please tell us the actual time and not one where we'll be disappointed again.

I really hope they can start shipping stuff out soon, this seems like a serious kind of issue from their end if they're struggling this much, past just the problem of a faceup that they just mentioned before.

 

I'm not waiting on anything from Souldoll, but this whole thing makes me sad. I love their company and I'm worried this is going to hurt them a lot for future releases because of how they handled this.

 

I sent them another email asking for an update, and they told me my order will ship this Friday (and also sent me an invoice for the shipping fee, which I promptly paid). Here's hoping third time's a charm...

Definitely feeling the heat here. Been almost a year since I ordered a Millie. I’m aware they’re having faceup artist issue but after everything that happened with a certain other doll brand I can’t help but feel frustrated at a year with no real updates. They’ve never been like this for me before.

 

Just received a reply from Souldoll regarding my order and updating customers. They seem adamant my order is still on schedule to be shipped end of this month and told me this in response to me asking them to make an announcement to be more transparent with customers:

"Hello? This is SOULDOLL.

We are so sorry if we made you nervous.

Your order is scheduled to be shipped at the end of March as we said, and we are currently working on the finalization.

We are doing our best to deal with such a large delay in delivery, but as you said, we are very sorry that there are many areas where we cannot inform many customers of the schedule properly.

We will do our best not to worry customers by deciding how to notify you about this.

Regarding your order, we will update the tracking number after send it out on the end of Mar.

Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.

Thank you. "

Hopefully they are able to clear it up with some announcements and notices.

 

They responded to my Q&A inquiry on my Aspyn and said she will be shipped end of April (she is the Lavender Blue resin)!

I totally understand everyone's frustrations regarding this situation - and @Setsura thank you for communicating our concerns to them. I am confident Souldoll will do right by everyone and make sure everyone gets their dolls soon, but I also hope this situation helps them learn and grow for the future.

 

Iirc they had this same problem before in 2018/2019 where they totally stuffed the production line and had a huge huge delay in shipments just like right now. You'd think they'd have made sure it wouldn't happen again but I suppose maybe they got a bit too confident. Hopefully it can really settle in to them after this time to be a little more easy on the orders, as many new and fun ideas as they might have.

 

For sure... they need some breathers between releases. For themselves and their fans too. I honestly think they would have better sales too if they didn't have releases back-to-back...

 

This is so true, I bought 2 PLavender Blues then they dropped Persephone right after....money who lmfao.

Had they released her a few months later I'd have also bought her but the way it was there was no way I could bang out 3 at once like that. Such a shame because even now I still feel regretful about it.

 

According to SoulDoll, EMS will be picking up my doll in the next few hours! Hopefully I get a tracking number by end of day Friday.

 

Happy to report that Millie has shipped and I already have tracking! She is currently at the airport, hopefully soon to board a plane to Canada!

I reached out to Souldoll again yesterday to ask them about my order, since it's two weeks past the last shipping estimate they gave me with no word. They said they have about 5 more days left of work and they expect to ship her next Friday "certainly". Fingers crossed that this time it's true!

Millie boarded a flight last night and it has just touched down in Vancouver! Hopefully she arrives at Canadian Customs later today!

 

Glad to see they're getting some dolls out, but still nothing on my dolls they insisted several times would be shipped 'end of March'. It's past end of March now and I even told them I'd be okay with waiting as long as the estimate was accurate, but they kept insisting it was going to be end of March. Feeling a bit frustrated again tbh and hope to see an update soon.

 

Yikes I should have checked here before I ordered. I hope everyone gets updates soon. I just ordered a Kids N.L. girl body (and since its just a body I'm hoping it doesn't take super long) for my Baby Pink-Unicorn ver. who I'm then putting on my Aehael centaur body. She's going to be styled like the old Disney Fantasia Centaurettes
