Souldoll Waiting Room V10

I just ordered a double jointed body for my boy from BJDivas.
So now I wait for not only that- but also my Onsaemiro in neutral tan from Alice's Collections.

I have no experience with either dealer, so it will be interesting to see how it goes- semi in tandem (but honestly not quite lol).

 

I just got a notification from Alice's that my souldoll order should be ready to ship this friday! (1/22) I ordered in October, so that only totalled a four month wait. wow! Even if they don't get around to shipping it until the end of this month- and even if it doesn't show up until mid or late february due to various worldwide delays- I am very spoiled by that turnaround time!!

I did however get hit with the drastic rise in overseas shipping costs that's been happening from the pandemic. DHL was the cheapest at about 50, but EMS skyrocketed to 120.... Just thought I'd share so others could be prepared. Seriously hope this is just a blip in rates, because ouch.

 

Yay. Hope she'll arrive soon.

And yeah I am dreading the increased shipping costs as well. I've placed my order for a neutral tan girl in late December. So I am worried the prices will skyrocket even more until spring/summer .

 

I am dreading this price hike and the fact that some korean companies are canceling orders. I have two TeraZenith Boys and two Zenith girls along with some bits and bobs (Shoes, eyes, etc) that should be ready in the relative future (they've been "processing" for two months now). Shipping alone was already 300 USD before the price hike. While having to pay more to ship them sounds frustrating, the idea of the order being canceled and refunded is even worse. X.x

For those who have received shipping notices (or will) since the price hike, do they e-mail you about your options?

 

When I ordered my girl on Dec 29th, there was no shipping added to the order. They emailed me with options and I had to pay separately (or you can wait until it's time to ship to pay shipping, but I went ahead.) DHL was cheapest for me as well, half of what they wanted for EMS Premium.

 

Yes it was the same for me. I had hopes that until the time they are ready to ship the situation would have calmed down a bit but I don't think that's realistic now .

 

Just found out my girl will be shipped sometime in early February.
I had to pay an extra $25 for shipping, but, ah, that's fine lol

 

My order arrived!! Ordered Oct 7th 2020, shipped Jan 22nd, arrived Jan 26th. Wooow.
This is my first souldoll order- the boxes are huuuge!! (But I managed to fit them under the bed with the rest of my doll boxes, haha. So all is well.) I got two bodies and a head for an array of hybrids. Both are 'normal' skin.

Joelle's head will be going onto a LUTS model delf muscle body- for anyone curious about that, the resin match for LUTS normal (more yellow) + SD normal (more pink) is about 90%, but workable through blushing... and veeeery handsome lol)

He's on the new body, which is wonderful. I'll be stealing this body for a future doll. I LOVE his hands. He has beautiful gesture lines!!

I LOOOOVE her, she's perfect. I got the large bust. I am madly in love with the juno body, I haven't been able to put her down. She came perfectly strung so she's a dream to pose and play with.

They both have a luts-esque resin feel with just a bit of tooth, but it's very pleasant to me. Sooooo happy with souldoll.

 

A similar shipping situation happened to me except I had to reach out to Alice’s Collections because I had not heard anything regarding my order. It cost an extra 30 USD on top of the shipping I had already paid for, but hopefully she will arrive soon.

 

Got my Juno last week. Now waiting for BJDivas to receive my Ricia I ordered last April. Not even going to think about the girl I ordered in December until probably the end of the year since 9-10 months seems be the turnaround time ordering Souldoll through BJDivas. Think I’m just going to try ordering direct going forward, because while the long layaways are super nice and manageable, I am a very impatient person.

 

Eeek! Seriously? I ordered my girl with faceup through Alice's in late October, received her at the very beginning of this month... and I decided to purchase a double jointed body for my boy last month... through BJDivas to try them out... reading this has got me kind of regretting my decision.
I truly hope you get your December order in a more timely fashion than your Juno and Ricia.

 

@Tulkem we can always hold out hope! I know BJDivas has had a really rough year, and the pandemic certainly hasn’t helped, so maybe things will get better going forward. They’re always so kind when I message with them, and very good to work with me when I need to make a late payment or extend my layaways even further, so I’d still recommend them. Idk just wanted to share my own wait times.

 

As an update, I received an e-mail about part of my orders (they were done in two separate order) the one containing the Zenith Girl, Tz Body, 5 pairs of eyes, and a pair of Tz shoes as well as the three gifts (Head bag, Body Bag, and Gift head) is ready to ship. I will have to pay an extra 51.97 (for a total of 201.47) in order to ship due to the increase in prices. This is using the "cheapest" option of DHL. EMS would have been a total of 372.75 and UPS would have been 227.20. The other half of my order (Zenith Girl and Tz Body) is still processing but I believe it is because I ordered a face up on the Zenith girl while the others are blank.

 

$200 in shipping...wow. I may have to stop buying big dolls for a bit because that is insane!

But in good news, a month went by without me realizing. One down, three to go (hopefully?)

 

Yes the shipping prices are certainly helping me resist buying any more dolls. Judith is still tempting me but there will be other pretty dolls after the pandemic.

 

So I ordered a doll directly from Souldoll in March of last year and I've heard nothing. Should I be worried? Every time I check my account it just says item processing. Have I missed something?

 

Definitely contact them. Not sure what you ordered but almost a full year seem very long for Souldoll. It's normal for long wait time from a dealer but not direct from Souldoll. My order only took about 4 months. I ordered Sep 2020 and got my order Jan 2021. I ordered a body and blank heads.

 

Yeah, agree with what @aireoko said, I would reach out to them! I thought they were running 4-6 months based on faceups etc, but a year is way too long...

So, I received notification that my second order is ready to be shipped as well. I will provide a breakdown as I have received a few messages curious about the overall shipping adjustment

Package 1: TeraZenith Body, Lena Head, Zenith Girl Body with additional heel feet, TZ wig, Zenith Wig, 1 pair 14mm eyes, 4 pairs 12mm eyes. The gifts were a TZ Josh head, Zenith sized Body Bag, and Zenith sized head bag. This package was originally priced out at 149.50 shipping and I had to pay an additional 51.97 for a total of 201.47.

Package 2: TeraZenith Body, Isabel with heel feet and face up. The gifts were a Tz Henry head, Zenith sized body bag, Zenith sized head bag. Shipping was originally 142.50 and I had to pay an additional 58.97 for a total of 201.47.

The first package was ready on the 9th of February and I received notice that the second package was ready yesterday (17th of February). I promptly paid the postage difference. I inquired today as I hadn't heard anything about the first package. Souldoll said the first package will be mailed this Friday and the second package will be mailed next Friday. I asked because we experience a high volume of theft in the area, especially since covid (people are literally walking up driveways trying to open doors to steal cars/things inside of cars and brazenly walking up to ring bells and stealing packages off porches) and they said they will do their best to provide me with a tracking number.

I will say I am curious as to why they are both the same price when previously one was a fraction more expensive than the other, but I'm not going to question it at this point. 400 dollars is a lot to pay for in shipping, but I'm trying to rationalize it by telling myself that I saved a lot with the discount event.

 

My boyfriend ordered me my first Souldoll (and first doll) last week with the hope/expectation that she'll get here around my birthday. I've been excitedly shopping (wishlisting) a bunch of things for her like new eyes and wigs/wefts because I'm being super picky on how she looks, and clothes.

so my soul doll body wasn't even on my radar, i thought it would be a few more months until it would be finished, but I just got an email from AC saying it just got sent out

So now I have a white skin soul kid girl body on the way! I've ordered from AC before and it takes about a month to get to me in Canada, so I still have a bit of a wait, but it was definitely a pleasant surprise!

 

He bought me Milky Way and I'm going for a kind of Victorian era countess kind of look. I'm being a total nerd and making her into a Claudia Phantomhive kind of doll if I can.

Josh and Lena have arrived! They were shipped on Friday and they arrived today (Tuesday). I had a mini heart attack because the mailer box was banged up pretty good but the inside boxes were in decent shape and the dolls were not harmed. Pros: They put eyes in Lena and Josh (the site says they will come eyeless so I purchased eyes for them but they received pretty ones too). Cons: Josh (Big TeraZenith Boy) came in a Zenith box. Apparently, they are doing this for shipping convenience, but he cannot be placed into the box with his head on. While it isn't a huge deal because I don't store my dolls in their boxes all the time I do plan on storing them in their boxes when they move. This means I'll have to most likely find a new arrangement for Josh (and Henry when he arrives) or risk their head moving around in the box if the movers handle things roughly.

 

Souldoll just informed my they are going to ship my order from last December (21.12.20) on Friday (30.04.21). I've ordered a Soulkid Angel in tan skin and shipping to Europe is going to be another 103 USD. Hefty but expected . Never the less I am absolutely excited for my girl to finally come home.

 

@laquaza Ooh, I'm not far behind you! I ordered my Angel on 12.30. Did you get body blushing?

 

No I got her in tan skin but completely nude as the companies don't always change their shading colors for different skin tones. I didn't want to risk it.
Fingers crossed you'll get her soon though .

 

I understand that! I bought Zenith Serena Centaur in grey and the blushing still had brown tones in it like the promo shots, haha. (I still love her though.) Looks like I may be a few more weeks out then. Still, thank you for the update.

@Acidpuck Nice! I ordered the fullset with blushing, so I expect I will be the slowest, lol. I'm hoping it will still be in the next few weeks though.

EDIT: Turns out Souldoll gave me the wrong notice and my order didn't ship until today. It was a letdown and definitely confusing when the tracking said delivered but I had no package..

Update: My Angel has arrived in Switzerland . But thanks to work I will only be able to pick her up on Friday. Unless I pester my sister to go pick her up for me .

I asked Souldoll, the approximate waiting time for my order from the end of last year. They answered, they wrote me a week ago about the shipping cost, as my order is ready to ship . But I did not receive anything, I check my spam folder regulary aswell.
Anyway, they told me the shipping is 110$, I paid and now I worry about the German customs...
But I am so happy to have my Ellie soon

 

I didn't get an email from Alice's but I got a text with my tracking info for Milky Way! She should be arriving on the 17th, a little over a month before my birthday but I think my boyfriend will forgive me for opening her early. Her wig will arrive two days before, thankfully, so I'm going to do a full photoshoot for her.

 

I'm still waiting on the body I ordered in January. Kind of wishing I had just gone directly through Souldoll or through Alice's now.

I'm not sure who you ordered through, but a lot of dealers are getting hit pretty hard by the shipping price increases. Have you talked to your dealer recently?

Congrats! I have a Joelle D...he's awesome! Really fun to photograph, too, since his expression seems to change depending on the angle you shoot him from. I was considering selling him at one point, but every time I take him out of his box I'm like noooooo he must stay haha

 

I’m here in this waiting room now. Put a layaway payment down on Baby Pink-Unicorn last night. I’ve been staring at her since her pictures were first released and kept thinking about her. I thought I was done buying dolls this year. But I guess this one can count towards next year

Did you all get the full look with the painting? I got most of her parts blank but did order faceup because it was beautiful.

 

I got her in the purple resin and everything painted because I just absolutely love her look on the website. I know some variation will be normal but the closest I can get to a rainbow unicorn the better! I got the wig too but I am not super sure I like it in the pictures. I may try to curl it or replace it with something else I like better.

 

@Moonsugar : I totally hear you! Her parts are just total perfection the way they are. I definitely was tempted but I was partially tight on funds and also thinking of trying to coordinate her with my Heliot boy since they're both unicorns.

I'm iffy on the wig too. But as I learned with my Heliot it's tough finding wigs that look nice around the unicorn horn. So I'm going to give a go too and see if I can make it work. How long is your layaway?

 

I got her face-up and hands and hoof legs painted. But not the wings or tail. XD If there had been a way to get everything but the wings painted, I would have! I also passed on the dress and wig.

 

Six months, but I’m hoping to pay it off early depending on funds! I just really want her to sit next to all the other magical creatures I’ve got going (Fairyline60 Miwa, Luts Corni, Smart Doll Kabuki!) I didn’t plan on such a collection but here we are.

@Moonsugar : I am on a 6 month layaway too! I hope you can pay off soon as well. Sounds like a lovely bunch. I have another Souldoll on layaway so I don't think I'll be able to pay her off any sooner, but fingers crossed!

@DraloreShimare : So interested to see how you will style yours! I went ahead and got her clothes, but I LOVE Souldoll's clothing so I may try to get her something new at some point.

 

I placed a layaway order on Baby Pink Unicorn version, just a few days before the closing date!

I could'nt have done it without the help of my bestfriend who owns a business where I can work for the monthly payments if I can't meet them on my own.

I was so crushed when I tought that I would'nt be able to get her cos of the layaway amounts on souldolls own website, but then I discovered BJDivas and they granted me 12 month layaway

I only got the animal legs, but I got them painted. I also took the face up with beads option and her dress, but no wig and I got her in purple color.

I'm so excited to get her, and I'm checking her pictures everyday cos she is so gorgeus

 

Hi All! Just curious if anyone knows what current wait times are looking like for Souldoll? The waiting list looks like it might possibly be out of date? So I was just wondering if anyone who has ordered and received their dolls recently has some insight! I'm eyeing Phoebe as a possible new addition in the not too distant future and was just wondering what kind of wait I might be in for!

 

@malvinas Hi there! I'm not sure if this is recent enough, but I ordered around this time last year (12/29/20) and it took almost five months to get to me (arrived 05/13/21). That was for a fullset, fully blushed doll.
