@Snowy awe, thank you! Yeah, he is going to be my colourful girl's boyfriend XD I think the size should be okay with her because I don't mind if she looks short, I'm just nervous about having such a large doll @.@
I'm actually planning to keep the extra head for the same character so he has a more "human" head and more "undead" head since he was previously human.
Hmmmm too bad about the joint bulge, I would've opted for the S body then since he's gonna be wearing pants mostly. I couldn't find any comparison pictures with bent joints. Ah well

You can expect a size difference similar to how my Luts Ani (front) looks in comparisson to my Vito Edmund (left) on this pic: Souldoll-Vito-Kid-Luts-girl

And personally I think they aren't that big. It's still 10 cm difference to an about average sized SD13 XD

Aaah! That's great. I've been wondering about what people who go with the grey skin will do with the second head as Souldoll doesn't do grey bodies regular and also doesn't seem to have the option to get another grey body for the second head.
I think it's only really noticable if you have him sit on his feet. Otherwise it's not that bad.

I don't know that I could handle a big SD! So far my Mini-Machina are actually my favorite for size, but no one makes small guys that I like! Plus Tripp needs her sweetheart! I bet he'll be a fun size to sew for though!

 

Thanks for the welcome @Snowy. I'm glad I picked Jin. (I only wish I had ordered during SD's recent sale.) At first I was going to get Han, until I realized that he reminded me of the old Soul Double L-Heart I used to have. I decided I preferred a guy with no baggage this time around.

That's good news about the size similarity to the Double body. I have several patterns for 60cm SD males that fit that body. Shortening for arm and leg length is easy to do. I'll hold off buying any more shoes until I see how he fits into what I have at home. I have at least 3 pairs of MSD sneakers that are way too big for MSD. I'm also hoping he can share footwear with my Iplehouse nYID guys.

I did notice that the S body's joints look better under clothes. That's what I like about it. Hard edges where the human body doesn't have any drive me crazy!

 

@Nyxy : How small are we talking in terms of cm? I might know some short guys that you might or might not like :3

I don't think she'll look cartoony actually. I had a friend who was 1,5 m and her boyfriend was near 1,9 m and they still made it work ... I think the size differences between the two of them will work similar. But that's live XD People come in all kinds of different forms, colors, sizes and shapes :3
And totally fun to sew for them. Actually I found it easier to sew for bigger sizes. MSD is okay, but with SD you have a bit more leeway and a cm too big isn't that much with them. With MSD thought - especially if you wanted a somewhat tight fit... u.u Ugh.

Yes, I know the feeling. With companies I know to make events and want a doll from, I always try to save up and wait for the events. It's not always easy, but in most cases I was able to wait - and it paid off. Largely so.
Oh I know that feeling. Going from Han to Jin is quite a jump :3 Han is this innocent cutie while Jin is this ... dominant grumpy frowny? XD At least that's how they appear to me. But then again Jin in his default style just oozes sexyness to me :3
And that's a good plan. Don't hesitate to share your findings. People will always be greatful for more dress options with this special sizes :3

 

I meant more that her head and eyes are very large and stylized, while he looks quite realistically proportioned! I think the height difference itself will be cute. My boyfriend is way taller than me and he has been helping with my collection (he is a terrible enabler, it's great :P)
Well, I think I will like this size okay, all my little ones are robots and Tripp is my only MSD right now. I plan to get another eventually though. I do find I like my 'bots best for actually playing, but hopefully I'll like different things about the different sizes and it'll all work out. At first I only wanted MSDs, but I don't think I'll go bigger than a Vito!

@Nyxy Jin's style will depend a lot on how he looks in person. Souldoll's website doesn't show his blank sculpt, which makes it hard for me to imagine him in other makeup. I know he won't be a demon, because I didn't order the horns. My best face-ups tend to follow the sculpt closely, which means he'll probably look like a good-looking, ordinary guy. He will be the boyfriend of the Zaoll Luv I ordered, so I hope his style matches hers. Considering Luv's full set consists of a nightdress and robe, maybe I should plan to make him some pajama bottoms...

@Tahgira Your Vito is gorgeous! Which sculpt is he?

@Snowy In the end, Han's youthful innocence worked against him. My incoming Luv would have looked too mature next to him. Some of the other Vito guys look way too mature, but I think Jin strikes a nice balance. I hope he tells me his name before he arrives. The more I refer to him as Jin now, the harder it will be to imagine him as someone else later.

 

I'm a bit late with my reply but it's great to see more who are getting the Vito dolls I'm also waiting for my first one.

If you want to when your doll arrives it would be incredibly helpful if you could share information on how the nYID shoes fit the Vito boys because I have been quite curious about that. I'm also curious if the clothes for nYID might work. I have my eyes on a shirt from one of the Iplehouse nYID sets but feel it might be a bit too much money to spend without being sure it fits After all the EID clothes look rather huge when my other 70cmdolls are wearing them so I figure there is a risk the same applies for using Iple clothes in a smaller size for a Vito boy

I will absolutely share info on all the nYID stuff we try on. Iplehouse guys are so chunky that I'm not expecting many clothing items to fit, but you never know. I'm curious to see if any of the nYID girl stuff will fit--provided it's not too girly, that is. Based on foot measurements, the nYID boy shoes should fit, although they may need socks. My Soom Super Gem can wear nYID boy shoes, and his feet measure 8cm. nYID boy's feet measure 7.8cm while Vito's (if you can believe the measurements on the website) measure 7.5cm.

Which Vito are you getting?

That is wonderful! I did check the measurements and it looks like a nYID shirt will be rather huge on a Vito guy but hey, who knows? If a Ringdoll grown can wear SID shirts and a Ringdoll grown uniform can fit an EID girl then what's to say a nYID outfit can't fit a Vito doll? The girl sizes might be an option if, like you say, they're not too girly looking. I will be making the clothes for my doll but I would like to have something for him to wear when he arrives since I don't yet know how long it will take to get the pattern ready and then actually make the clothes.

I recently got a pair of boots from a seller on eBay that should fit but since my doll isn't here yet I can't try them to see if it's true. However when I do have the answer I will be sure to let everyon know

One thing about Iplehouse clothing--a lot of it is cut small. Even when things are made with stretchy fabric, they're still so tight that they're hard to put on. So, there may be a few things that fit. @SapphireStargazer You have an nYID, don't you? (I think we both have Oscar.) Can Reid fit into any of his clothes or shoes?

I have a question for other owners: I was looking through old Haute Doll magazines and came across a pajama pattern made for Volks SD10 dolls. Will that fit Vito boys? I can't find any measurements for SD10, only SD10/13 (girls). I'm afraid to sew it ahead of time without a doll to try it on for size. No one else in my crew is comparably sized.

 

I agree with you on that. I have a rather interesting experience with "warying sizes" for a pair of EID man cargo shorts where one pair are so small they actually fit my EID girl perfectly and are impossible to get the guys to wear, while the other pair fits the guys and fall off the poor girl if she tries to wear them . I do hold my hopes that the nYID clothes might fit because Iplehouse sure makes some very cool stuff. however if that's not the case then I suppose the sewing maching will get a lot more attention

May I ask what style of clothes you are planning to have for your doll?

Thank you! Lester is cool and he looks right for the character. He's going to be based of a character from a book series I absolutely love.

 

I don't really know what style of clothes Jin will wear. I like the flexibility of changing a doll's look from time to time. He may start out in something like Steampunk, then change his mind a couple of months later. When I find out what kinds of things fit I'll have a better idea. All I have to do is go with the flow.

Not only was my boy's wig too small, but the pants which FINALLY came in were SD10 or smaller. . . Getting the wrong things are proving to be my forte.

So right now he's got a coat and boots, the poor thing looks like a voyeur;;;

And to make matters worse, I sent the wig back to leekeworld for an exchange quite some time ago but it seems to have been lost in the mail. My luck is the best.

Hii guys! Decided to pop in to share that I just placed the order for my souldoll Azrael in NS And I got him with the tarot ver faceup too! Can't wait to see how everyone styles their new incoming vitos.
Its gonna be quite a chore for me though, since I only own big SD boys and yosds

@vermont chick Thank you!! I didn't order any of the outfits although I love the quality of souldoll's outfits. Plus one of my boys already has a similar style to the human ver outfit, so I decided not to get any. I think it will be fun to figure out what clothes he would fit in eventually. I'm planning to get him either custom sized clothing or more fitted material clothings for him. Only issue I have right now would be finding the perfect shoes. I'd love to get him Dr Martens inspired boots, but its so hard to come across one yet..

@Nyxy yay I'm excited to see how your azrael will turn out since he won't be coming with company faceup! I've been wondering though, do they start production once the order comes in or after the event ends? In any case I am still excited because I don't how the tarot ver faceup will look like on NS, so there's a surprise element to that.
His style is inspired by both james dean and lucky blue smith, and he will be pretty much a modern ranch boy

 

I like the sound of that I usually pick one style but vary the clothes within that style. but I do Think it's a lot of fun with dolls who change their look as well I look forward to seeing what you do with him

He's going to be Ringil (or Gil for short) from the "A land fit for heroes" book series. The description does leave some stuff to the imagination so I'm going to be creative while doing my best to stick to the facts in the books

 

Question and sorry I know its probably been asked but is there any doll companies that match the sandy brown resin? or can someone point me in the right direction for photo comparisons. Thanks.

 

@Kitty Blue: Not yet to my knowledge.
Unless you go to the companies that do custom matching. Which personally I'd recommend. The sandy brown is not quite a consistent color. The one I have (when they released all the MSD boys in sandy brown during the summer event about two years ago) is more pinkish/fleshy than the one my friend got with her Berial (a year ago I think), than the one my other friend got with her Shaun (first time sandy brown was introduced).
I have a comparisson pic of my Souldoll sandybrown vs Aquarius tan vs Luts light tan here if it's of interst: resin-comparisson-tan_souldoll-sb_aquarius_luts-lt
I also have Lut's Real Skin brown, Ringdoll tan, Withdoll uv tan, but none match or even resemble either sandy brown.
Companies that do custom matching are e.g. Resinsoul and Impldoll.

Does anyone know about maybe fairyland tan or Iplehouse real skin?

@Kitty Blue: I don't know about the latest batch, but the ones before it were definitly no match.
As for Iplehouse... if this pic comes close to real skin, then nope, definitly not. Dolls & Houses
It looks more close to Luts real skin brown, which doesn't work.
It needs more orange/red.

Thought the Berial of my friend was a touch more... brownish and less red-flesh-ish. Can't explain it better :\ Sorry.

Other companies I've remembered by now are Angell-Studio and Ringdoll. Those two do custom matching as well. And of course Mirodoll to my knowledge.

And it's not the best picture, but here you can see the sandy brown boy (first row middle) compared to other Souldoll resin colors.

Since I missed out on Berial (one day late...grr..lol) I'm considering going for Azrael..love the skull head..have been wanting a Vito for a while..so we'll see. Though I do like the look of Jin as well..lol. Guess I got to make a decision quick since the period is only until 2/29. Man Souldoll has been taken my money lately just received my Aehael and also have an order in for Junia. Curious does anyone have Aehael (centaur version) and can do a comparison with their Vito for size reference?

 

i always wanted a vito, but my tiny apartment is way too small for such large dolls but seeing everyone's posts and pictures fill my need to get one! so pretty!

 

I just ordered a tan Azrael with tarot faceup for my Aehael. That pretty pony has been stomping her feet ever since she saw him. I don't have a Vito to compare her with but she's a little over 19 inches in centaur form which would around 48 cm so she'd be a good fit height wise to a 51cm Vito.

 

Yea I just received my Aehael centaur this past weekend love her to death she is simply gorgeous. I was thinking about getting Azrael in grey. Just curious about the head size difference figured height would be decent. I'll look around for comparisons. Thanks

 

@Kitty Blue Jumping in again. I don't think the head size difference is very noticable. The Soulkids have a 6-7 sized head and for most of my Vito I'm also using a stretchy 6-7 as they are more a 7 than an 8. and 7-8 wigs always have turned out to be to big/floppy.

Thanks for the comparison I have a few of the souldoll kids so definitely gives me an idea of Vito proportions.

 

I always was a bit hesistant to join this thread as my Vito Jang is a hybrid on a Iplehouse JID body but with the Vito Azrael skull head on its way I figured I could join all you lovely people in the hopes that you won't kick me out for having a Vito hybrid xP

In exchange I bring pictures of the rarely seen Jang mold so yay?

wow I'm always amazed at people's talent with there dolls, those tattoos are fabulous! I've been wanting to do a huge asian type back piece on my Dollmore Trinity girl maybe a wrap around, but have 0% are skills..lol.
I've still on the debating list of Azrael, but I think the skull head might be too much for me to resist.

I'm not even certain if I've seen the Iplehouse JID body before, does anyone have a comparison with a Vito I'm very curious now to see the differences as that head looks really fabulous on the body.

 

@Kitty Blue I'm sure someone here must have comparison photos of Vito with JID boy. If not, I can take photos when my Vito arrives, although that may be a couple of months from now.

And yes, horns - I have a hoarding obsession with fantasy parts and needed to use some up xD
Also, here is a front pic + a sideview to show how the head fits on the neck (IMO the neck needs some modding to fit better, I am just too lazy to do it) and here is a pic of the whole tattoo which pretty much covers all of his upper torso.

@Kitty Blue sadly I have no Vito to put next to my JID body but I am sure s.o. must have done that comparison before!
