Colour: Souldoll boys are actually not as fussy as minifee boys even though they are both skinny. I've had luts outfits fitting them perfectly. If you want casual stuff, Brennil is AWESOME.

Getting new shoes is always fun! I have some shoes that are more for the guys (of which I have none!) and have put them on my girls, and yeah, they are a little big. Don't the guys and girls have the same size feet?

 

I have also started to read the details of shoe listings and learned that there is quite a variety of sizes in MSD shoes! Kind of frustrating at times, but I just got a couple of pair that fit and are really cute (just need to find/make outfits to go with them).

I really like the outfits that the new Soulkids have in the promo pictures. Too bad they never sell them on their own. The new Soulkids are interesting, though I wish the had posted pictures of the molds without face-ups. Souldoll face-ups tend to overwhelm me a bit. ^^

v1ntagecouture, this is the wig Souldoll send you? That's funny! He looks girly with it but is still very cute. What color do you want to get him?

 

@navci, I wish I had a boy, it would be so much easier. The soulkid girls are so curvy and different from everything else in the same size -.- (What does "fussy" mean? My English fails me...)

Souldoll seems to have a bit different descriptions etc. in each doll... For example, Key's pics include one without a face-up, but haven't seen that on other dolls...

yes it's the wig I got from Souldoll, and he's exceptionally draggy! i wanted the same colour (dark brownish) cause I want him to be a prince type character. I mean... to me, he looks like a prince! so that wig might suit him XD but i might need to tone down the make up haha

haha thanks, i kept putting on the eyeshadow part... and the only colour that would stay on was the black XD but his face turned out better than I expected! I just got to take pictures of him with better lighting.

haha thanks. like i said, the eyeshadow kept pilling on XD but i quite love him. just need to find JUST the right wig (I wanted something like the one souldoll had for "the Fool Lev" one.

 

Color, oh I guess I didn't have the patient for all three pages to load fully. Should have checked more carefully. That's a great picture of Näri. I love the pose! I tried looking up her name to see where it came from and if there's a meaning behind it but came up short. Is it a Finnish name or did you invent it? It fits her quite nicely.

navci, still loving that picture of Vivere! The two of them are so cute together. It's rare for Viv to actually look dreamy. Didn't think I'd ever see him looking like that. XD

v1ntagecouture, if you like the color, I guess you could always try cutting the wig a little bit. I know what you mean about princely. I don't know what it is about Levs, they look like they are from well-to-do families. Something in the cheekbones maybe? XD
I challenge you Lev owners out there to take a picture of a Lev looking like a bum.

...And now I want a Lev as a girl. I just browsed through some pics on the internetz and the thought bounced into my mind. -.- Maybe I should alter my Lev-character so he is one.

@v1ntagecouture, I'd like to see more ^^ And making eyeshadow stick is a pain. I have some colors that simply won't stay on, purple for example.

@itseva, Thanks : D Yeah, it's a made-up name. I ran into something Australian, shortened it and changed A to Ä if I remember right. The mold has such a mild expression i needed something noticeable... Actually, does your username have something to do with Finnish or Estonian or something? It resembles pretty many things.

 

That is boyish enough comparing to Maillo wearing a dress ............ But boys look like girls are interesting to me (sometimes I did it on purpose >A<)

She is fairly new doll and little bit jumpy. You never know when she is going to kick you but i hope with time she'll be more easy going.

XD Really? I was chatting with some friends the other day and I was talking about Lev is one of the few minis I've seen that really would not do well in a gender change. He has some very angular, boyish features that I have trouble seeing as a girl. XD Those jaws!!!
Or maybe it can be a very manry girl. XD

Lol, I'm so used to having very genderqueer androgynous friends that the two lines have sort of blurred for me. As far as MSD size bjds go, Lev is more masculine that a lot of them, but he still looks very androgynous to me and I could easily see him being a girl.

I do very much like that photo you posted of Viv though!

v1ntagecouture - did you clean off her body as well? I noticed a color change as well until I cleaned up Ceylon's body. Once I did that though, they matched again!

 

Well I didn't want to do anything drastic yet, but I didn't know the risen can change colour from pinky normal skin -> whitish yellowish skin colour.

I'm currently doing a face up atm, so hopefully i can blush it enough so you can't tell i'm not really bummed, it just weirded me out!

 

is it just me, or do soulkids lean too much forward?



I'm holding on to her feet which is flat on the table.

I bought these new boots that have her leaning too much far forward. same with the sneakers i have for her.

 

No, pretty sure it is the shoes. Any shoes that has heels on them tend to make all dolls lean forward.

 

i checked and it has a little heel. that sucks!! and very odd.

 

To add to the current conversation, I think that's why so many doll lines offer high-heeled feet. The ankles wouldn't be sturdy enough in most dolls if they could lean back enough to accommodate tall heels.


Anyway, I'm pretty sure I'm shooting in the dark for this one, but does anyone, I mean anyone, have Min Ji? No matter where I look, here, Flikr, Google, DA, I can't find any shots of her aside from the pretty mediocre ones on Souldoll's website. Any kind of shot would be great appreciated!

 

A girl on the german forums used to have her, and she was SO precious... I can't seem to find the pictures anymore, though! Maybe she sold the doll on?

 

I just got a hit in my request thread, so hopefully I'll see some new pics for her and know if I really want her.

 

Geez, I am beyond excited...Fafner is on her way from Denver Doll and should be here by weds next week. Yippee! Been waiting on this girl for over 10+ weeks and it was just killling me, Will post a pic when she arrives.

I decided to ask Souldoll if they had any images of MinJi besides the shots they have on her page, and they let me see a blank shot.



I like her little mouth even more now that I can clearly see the details. I just bought a Puki, so I have to wait for now, but I really like her.

the teeth are really cute. are you going to get her with a default faceup or do custom?

 

Custom, though I don't know if I'll ask SoulDoll to do it since their face-ups are especially lovely, or do it myself since I have everything to do my own. I'd want to her to be more made-up, with red lips and some pretty eyeshadow. That and I'd be nervous to try to make those teeth super white with my way of facing-up a doll.

 

I wonder if you could get their face up and then just enhance it??? That way you would not have to deal with the teeth? (argh--very tiny looking!)

Fafner arrived yesterday and I am so totally in love with this doll. Dh commented that she even looks good with out hair LOL. I was surprised at how tiny and delicate she is--I am used to my Dt's and Sd sized dolls. I got her with the default face-up and adore it. I teach today so will try to get pics done some time and post here....I was playing with wigs yesterday and I swear she looks good in anything! I had originally ordered her with the "new" body from DDE and then last week noticed that they had one in stock--all the same but with the double body. Asked it I could swap my order with that one and they said yes..so she came with a double instead. I find that I actually like it...it has the usual squeaky joints and her arms are a little jumpy but I knew that was to be expected. Will later glue suede her and I know that will take care of it. These girls have such lovely lovely hands...I am a sucker for pretty hands, and the bottom of thier feet are even pretty!

Congrats on the Fafner, miss mabel ^^ The arms are snappy, but at least mine became a nice poser after being sueded.

I finally got Näri's new hand ^^; They forgot to tell me I'd have to pay the postage at first. -.- But now I have one spare hand too~~
And of course I can't take any pics, because the camera is in a different town. Oh well.

 

On the subject of hands.

I used to dislike Vivere's hands for being so large. He can't wear some clothes without me taking his hands off first. I've grown to like them because they really are just gorgeous looking.
