Height = 17 inches
Bust = 8 inches / Waist = 5.375 inches / Hip = 8.5 inches
Shoulder to wrist = 5 inches / Waist to ankle = 10 inches / Inseam = 7.875 inches

I have two slightly chubbier mini girls but they should be able to wear soulkid size clothings, so it is probably all good.

Guess who's new body arrived!


Sunshine has her new minifee body.
It took a bit of fighting to get that neck connector off, but it was so worth it. I already love her so much more

I was hoping to see what the head proportion is like alongside a Minifee head. But I see it now her head would be a bit on the large side with a minifee. :< Well there goes that plan. XD

Ya, I'm glad. I was worried until I actually got her on there. 3 cm doesn't sound like much of a difference, but her new body really is smaller.

Thanks, it was minifee hands that pushed me over the edge to getting her a new body, I got three pairs, but those are my favorites
I wish my new cans of msc would hurry up and get here so I could do her nails.

 

Thanks for all compliments upon Emma's new dresses.

Amy, the owner of eBay shop, informed me that she would make a prototype dress for a Soulkids-Girl double joint body (based on the measurements I sent her via email) and send the dress to me for checking if the prototype dress might fit the body. After confirming that the prototype dress fitting the body, she will begin to produce clothes for Soulkids-Girl double joint body.

After receiving the prototype dress and checking the sizes, I will reply to Amy and also inform here. I expect that we will have a new producer of clothes for Soulkids-Girl double joint body soon.

 

I was wondering what other companys bodys are compatible with soulkids heads? I was thinking Volks but are there any others? cause I was hoping to put a souldoll Miryu head on a boy body, but I dont like the souldoll boys kids bodys.

how is the new general body? I picked that one over the the double jointed one cause I like the look of it much better (from the stock photos)

 

when did the new body become new (or are all double jointed bodies the "new" ones. i'm trying to figure out if cailyn has one or not.... (she is double jointed but a year or so old)

 

Fairyland's bodies are awesomely compatible. I haven't tried the boy's bodies but the girl bodies are fabulous. Resin match (for white at least) is spot on and Fairyland has incredible posing. Their boy bodies are probably more in proportion because they're slightly larger than the girl's.

 

The new general body does have a nicer looking leg but is not quite as flexible as the double-jointed. Though I do think the double-jointed has a cuter butt!

Apple was the first bjd I ordered when I got into the hobby about 2-1/2 years ago and I had the choice of the "new general" body or the "double-jointed" body. I chose the former as I figured since it was "new" it must be better. I didn't realize the importance of poseability at the time. I ordered my next two Soul-Kids at the end of last year and decided to try the double-joints. I don't know if they've changed the double-jointed look at some point.

I so wish I could afford the MNF body for my Lily.C, but the body alone would cost more than Näri as a whole. :/ No way I'm persuading dad to let me buy it. I like the Souldoll body too, but it's too mature and shapey for my girl really. ^^;
Has anyone had issues with the hands BTW? The resin part holding the hook in mine was weak and snapped all by itself.
Have a handbroken Näri.

However the new general body looks so pretty too! But it seems like it doesn't poses really well...Your girl has a double-body doesn't she?? Do you like it? What's your opinion about it?

@pecore Yay! More Lily-fans!
I have the double-jointed body, and it's pretty nice ^^ The legs bend really well to different positions, though the arms are so tightly strung that they tend to slap her face when I try to put them straight, so they would need sueding. As people say, the Souldoll ones come strung tight. I also thought the new general body was prettier, but I wanted double-joints so I chose the other one. ^^`

Thank you so much!! The thing that I don't like the most about the double jointed body is the fact that the the legs have a strange form for me....do you think is it possible to sand them? or maybe that will damage the stability of the body?

Mayu is one of my favorite Souldoll sculpts. I bought mine to be a companion to my Unoas. She fits right in. I think I posted a pic of them together, but it might have been on the Unoa thread.

I have all 3 Soulkid bodies: the old general body, the new general body, and the double-jointed body. Frankly, I don't like any of them. Their stringing is way too tight. My 2007 general body is still tight after 4 years. I broke a foot off the double-jointed one trying to restring her. Resin hooks just don't make sense for a part of the body that receives a great deal of stress from stringing. I wired the new general body, but because the channels are so narrow I could only use a very thin wire. It helped a little but not enough.

I am thrilled to learn that MNF bodies work with SK heads. I don't know how the resin color will work as I bought my 3 girls at different times. As soon as I can afford it, I want to buy a MNF body and try it on each of them.

Anyone else have an issue with their large butts? I hate making pants for Näri, because she's so curvy it takes ages to get the size right...

It must be nice to be able to commission face-ups.. I think I'll do it sometimes when I get my own bank account and more dolls. (When I have only Näri, I can't get one, because I want to do them so often it would last a month at most XD)

the wig is from JPop (http://www.jpopdolls.net/store/product.php?productid=1842&cat=292&page=1), it comes with a bow on each side but I took those out and replaced it with a headband from nine9style

 

i find that it's out of proportion with her skinny legs. pants and stockings are loose in the legs and too tight on the butt

i'm wondering if they would be too big for soulkid's feet. they are listed under 1/3 but have the outer lenght of 8cm

I'm looking for a pair of converse shoes that are 10 holes instead of 6/8 but these are the closest i can find.

8 cm would be WAY too big for my katie (soulkids are 1/4 not 1/3 so you try a search under 1/4 or msd, which might help )

you see, I was looking at the 1/4 section and they had this 7cm sized boots that i bought and i figured 1cm won't be much of a difference, but i guess they do!

i'm looking more for a high-top but that aren't knee-length.

however, those shoes from the first link might be somewhat the ones i want

if you search the stores for "msd sneaker" you'll find lots more. i just picked the first blue one i found in each store.

 

i do that, and it's weird. the ones you had didn't have MSD has a keyword, only 1/4 so it's more browsing :P

I did do an ebay search, but it seems I cannot find the exact one! I'm terribly picky but sometimes i just gotta find the perfect one!! lol
