Yalaren (Ize) recently got a new wig. His previous one was very nice but I like him much better in this one.

 

your Rye is lovely! Worth the time you took to consider her look. I adore her faceup and this outfit is gorgeous. Is it from Souldoll? Congratulations, a bit late, but i am new to DoA!

Amazing faceup! beautiful and unusual - so striking. I love the way you have created lip lines on his lips and the gorgeous colors you used.

 

Sometimes I hope that Souldoll will open again double line

Juhl is such a lovely sculpt. If I knew what character he was in any of my worlds, I'd stalk the MP relentlessly for him. SD makes such lovely dolls. It is a shame they decided to discontinue their double line. I totally agree that it would be great if they brought that size back.

 

Juhl is gorgeous! The only thing that always baffled me about the Double boys was their necks...

 

I absolutely love the Juhl sculpt too, he has quickly become one of my favorites...even if mine looks like a total jerk compared to all of the others I've seen. He's such an ass.

Without a doubt Souldoll faceup artists are some of the best if not the best imho. I really do love the ones I have been able to get. @Reinameron Juhl is gorgeous and so is Rye @NekoSam

 

I have the default face-up on Warrick (Titika head) and its beautiful and def worth the extra I paid for it. I'm waiting on Eilam (Vito Rail) and I got him with the default as well because it looked so nice in the promo shots. The only negatives I can say about the face-up on Warrick is that there's a touch more blush/pink than I like and there's a small spot on one cheek that has a strange... mottled look that's only visible from certain angles and under strong light. I think the MSC did something weird and I've never been able to capture it with a camera. Oddly, when he'd got his wig on, it doesn't seem like too much blush/pink.

Yalaren (Ize) is very photogenic and a breeze to pose. I know these dolls are supposed to be but I swear some just seem to have the camera love them more than others.

Their faceups are very gorgeos, yes, but some of them are very specific)

Hello, would like to ask you all how similar are Soul Doll's face ups to the ones shown on their promo pics?

 

I got a Titika head (he's OT for this thread) with the default face-up last year and it was pretty much bang on. When I got the head I thought they were a bit heavy with the blush but once you get a wig on them, oddly, it's not. I'm currently waiting on a Vito Rail with the default (again OT for this thread) but after seeing the awesome job they did on my other boy, I feel it's money well spent. The boy I have that is appropriate for this thread doesn't have a default face-up but I bought him 2nd hand.

I got the default Titika face-up on him and I use that head on the Souloid body instead of the Phiel head as it works better for the character (the Phiel head is blank and living in a box in a drawer until I figure out what to do with it). I also got the default face-up for the Rail as I really like it for the character he will be.

No, this is a custom one)) I really wanted company face-up, but I bought her during the end of double line sale event and they did not offer makeup at that time. Daya's faceup is done by Barbelo))

 

Does anyone know of any 1/3 bodies that pose well that would fit a Soul-Double Lana head in WS? She seems to have quite a small neck hole so I worry that most bodies won't fit.

 

I really like dollzone bodies. AprilStory also fit, but need to be a little modded. Doll Leaves 1/3 body is also a good choice.

You're very welcome!)) My Juana is on Dollzone NB58-001 body, and I've seen a Souldoll Rye on a DollZone NB58-002 body. Both look really nice, imho))

 

Just tried putting my Lana head on the NB58-001 body, she looks perfect! Now I just have to save up enough to finally get her a body of her own

 

Anybody here have a Gisele head? I'm just curious about her measurements to make sure she won't look weird on a body I'm eyeing.

 

Does anyone have brands or sellers or patterns that fit these bodies?

 

I make my own so I'll be less than helpful. I have noticed that for the boys, they seem to have a little more junk in the trunk than some of my other guys in this size so you may want to pay more attention to that measurement. Pants that slip on with a lightly elastic waist are just fine for my other guys but require extra effort for Yalaren to fit over his booty. Once on him though, it's fine.

 

I have a Gisele. What did you need to know about her measurements?

 

Head, neck, eye size, etc. The usual boring stuff

 

AHh, head is exactly 8 in, neck hole is 8.5, and she can fit 14mm and 16mm eyes

 

Do you mind showing me how she looks with 14mm vs 16mm eyes?

 

Sorry this took so long! Its a hassle trying to use flickr when they don't care to use html much.

I took some photos with the various eyes in.

First set, are both 16mm. Left is standard pupil, (8mm iris) eye; the right is a smaller pupil(6mm) eye.


Because her eyewells are a bit weird, she's better suited for low dome eyes-- otherwise they'll gap on the sides a little.

Second set of eyes are both 14mm. standard (7mm) pupil on the left, and small pupil/iris (5mm) on the right.

3rd set of eyes are: 14mm small pupil (5.5mm) on the left, and 12mm standard (6mm) eyes on the right-- her eyewells are small enough for 12mm eyes, but they would have to be low dome only: otherwise they'll show gaps on the side.







(These are the only 12mm eyes I own cause I wouldve taken more pics with other sets if available)

Personally, I like small iris eyes more than standard cause they look more realistic, but its all up to you on how you want her to look.

wow, this thread is old. so is my double guy, but he's well-loved. I bought him some new clothes and a wig. so, of course, he wants to show it off.

I'm still kicking around here. Although I don't think I've posted a pic of my new-to-me boy, Ji-Sun. He's a Double Juhl. Annnd of course I don't have any decent pics of him kicking around. It's on my ever growing to-do list though.

 

Hi everyone, I wonder if I can get some help matching a souldoll Rye double head to a body? Ideally, I would love to see any double heads on a Zenith body? I have already tried her head on a Vito body and it didn't work

Rye has a 7.5cm neck hole, S3nith body has a 8.5cm neck. Modding advice would be helpful too!

 

@Ano-Nimmy Are you sure about the neck circumference? Supposing you are talking about the Zenith girl, SD gives the neck circ. of the new double jointed body as 8,8cm. For the older body they said 9,5cm but I don't know if that's true. My Zenith girl's head circumference is only a little bigger than my double girl's, but the former's features are bigger and the face is longer, so that may figure into proportions as well. Sorry I cannot check in person right now as I'm sick... the double girls are just very petite all over whereas the Zenith girls are the complete opposite.

 

I would be looking for her head to be in good proportion to her body. Going off the old double body, its 8cm neck, which I'm assuming would be the body Rye would have had.

The problem is, Souldoll keep changing the sizing for ther kid, double and zenith sizes
Any help would be so appreciated! I'm just desperate to get her a body now

Souldoll double line has been always my ultimate favourite, especially several sculpts and old version boy body, it's so perfect, so I still have hopes they will someday resurrect them... but actually I'm here to share recent pics of my SeHyun, love him so much ｡♥‿♥｡

I wish I would have stuck with my Morse back in the day, but back then he was the only guy who had such a tiny, tiny head and he looked so odd with all my other SD guys, so I finally let him go *sigh* I always hoped they would renew their 60cm line again, but somehow Souldoll doesn't want to fill the gap between 50 and 70cm. That's a shame, especially when they had such iconic SD sized dolls from the beginning.

 

Their 60cm boys are wonderful. I was lucky enough to get mine (Ize & Juhl) 2nd hand. It would be really nice if they brought this size back. Perhaps if they got enough people asking them to that, they would.

And absolutely agree with you, guys, I still think their Asian sculpts were truly outstanding and iconic, and as for me old version male double body still the most perfect one to deal with, even Volks Graffiti can't withstand the competition, all clothes look absolutely fantastic on it and its posability and balance are just no joke, so perfect, so I mentioned it several times on their official instagram, commenting new releases, saying how much I love and miss double line and praising sculpts and old version body, but they, unfortunately, only wholeheartedly thanked me for my words...><'

I need to take some new pics of Ji-Sun since he now has his "default" outfit finally (shipping during this pandemic is hideous). I call it his bondage kimono as it's an outfit by BIA and came with the kimono and a leather harness & chain sort of thing. I think it's perfect for the God of Carnal Desire.

 

Can you advise me any male body between 63-66 cm for Morse's (Soul-double) head? According to the wiki, the Soul-double bodies had a neck circumference of 10.5 cm. Something similar with 13-13.5 cm shoulders would be useful.
Do you know of any suitable body, please?

 

well, the original body is similar to volks Sd13 boys, Souldoll's legs are slightly longer. but at the same time, that 13-13.5 cm shoulders makes him looks like an angsty teenager. especially when compared to 71cm dolls with the same sized heads.

I thought about the boy's body DF-H 3-part-torso 65 cm. This body has the same neck size (10.5) as the Soul-Double Morse's head. His shoulders are a little wider (14,8cm), but since the goal is to be an adult man, that's fine. The original owner of this head paired him with another body. Soom SuperGem is said to have a shoulder width of (cca) 16 cm. So I think 14.8 DF-H will work well.

 

yeah, taller than 60cm with a wider shoulder would make him look more adult. his head will probably also look okay with DF-H's 72 cm (Souldoll's heads circumference are about 22cm) who also have a 10.5 cm neck, but you might need to change s-hooks or mod the head to fit the s-hook through.

 

@lukita For me is 65 max. 70 is too much. He would no longer be on a scale with my other dolls. But it's good to hear that 70 cm is also fine.

 

he can be that 7 feet tall friend you have, good luck with your new body, he should look fine, 1.2 cm off from 16 cm is fine, and its not like all human men have the same shoulder width.

 

You're absolutely right. That's exactly what I say when my Zaoll is shorter than everyone else. I'm the "short" type too. The real reason may be that the 70+ dolls scare me a little. More precisely, I am terrified of their weight.
Although they are very beautiful and realistic!

 

I thought 70cm was too much doll. Then I won one. I have 5 now. A lot of my SD's are in the 60-64cm range with a fair chunk in the 50-ish cm size. I found that I got used to the larger size fairly quick. I wouldn't recommend lugging them around for any real length of time because your arms/back will shortly hate you.

 

yeah the elastic is so much stronger, my 70+ doll is strung a bit too tight, but i cant restring him cause i cant even pull on his feet even after taking his head off. they're maybe the weight of a fat cat, and less wiggly.

I'll be soon getting a Double girl and I'm glad I managed to dig out the measurements of that size on Souldolls page.
Their feet lenght is listed with 6.7 cm. so basically they could potentially fit larger MSD shoes?

Given their overall size they should count towards SD10, correct?

These girls a very petite and curvaceous, whereas SD10 girls have a less mature, more stocky-ish figure, more like pre-teens, you might want to take that into account. My Double girl wears most things made for SD13, but in that size range you get a lot of different measurements, so it's always a little hit and miss.
For shoes mine wears regular SD13 sized shoes, which often are about ~7cm long. Most MSD feet are about 5,5cm, and I personally do not have MSD shoes that big.

 

@Mandagore Thanks for your detailed reply. As it seems I'm more than likely to sew clothes for her and my Delf girl (their meassurements are surprsingly near the same exept for hips and waist).
Could you confirm wether or not the Double girls usually have 7-8 sized wigs? I'd like to check what I have and look around for what I might need to equip them.

Their heads are 21 cm/ 8,2", AFAIK, so a 7/8 wig would have to have some stretch, then it should work. I think mine wears a 8" wig, it's been a while^^ Delf girl size sounds good, they seem really similar in figure. No prob, glad to help!

I'm (still) thinking of finding a suitable body for my Morse. If the measurements agree, the new-double Soul body had a shoulder width of 13 cm. I know Morse looks good on Popodoll 63 (14cm shoulders - it is googleable). But I fell in love with another body... Very handsome Spiritdoll Grace 65 (14,5 shoulders). Especially his hands... Do you think the width of the shoulders of 14.5 cm will be too much for him when original width was 13 cm? The other measures seem to be fine. I'm just scared of those shoulders.

 

@Arengil I cannot help much I'm afraid... I've owned Morse on the new double boy body. The measurements I copied from Souldoll back then were 12,5cm for the shoulder width, though. So that would be 2 cm less than the Spiritdoll Grace body. The Grace heads (23cm) are also 2cm more in circumference than the Morse head (21cm). The Grace body looks beefier than the Souldoll Double body, too. So that would change proportions noticably. But you will never know if it will look good nevertheless unless you try... also, tastes differ, and some people prefer smaller heads in proportion to the body because it looks more lifelike. Neck should not be a problem since the Souldoll neck was quite thick for such a small guy...
