Hi guys. Any suggestions for compatible heeled part for the girl body? I originally planned to buy one from souldoll but they only offer the ones for the N.L. version. TIA.

 

gosh i hope im in the right place for this but does anyone have a Vivaan with a custom (not the souldoll default) faceup? im considering the sculpt for a character and i wanna see owner pics first!

@ThatiRosen Souldoll has heel feet for the new girl body but they don't have their own separate listing. If you email them maybe they'd sell them to you?

Was just checking in to see if anyone had received their Elfin Mermaid yet. So exciting to see you got yours back in October. Maybe that means my full set will be coming soon? Here's to hoping!

 

I just put a secondhand steampunk Finley on layaway! So so excited for her It's a crime how few photos I can find of her online (except for her company ones). She's such a lovely sculpt, I'm surprised she isn't more popular. But I'm very very excited to get her either way.

I posted this on the doll family h thread as well, but... Does anyone have either gender of the doll family h newer slim bodies, and a souldoll head, by chance? I'd love to see if the hybrid would work before I buy the body for my Aehael head. I haven't seen too many owners of the new slim bodies, and sadly one I missed ever-so-slightly to ask about hybrid compatibilities.

 

I just discovered Souldoll, and am absolutely smitten. I'm waiting to get my finances together and about to order Juno, Willow, and Milkyway within the next few weeks. I'm so excited, the double body looks so freaking beautiful!

Hi! So I'm new to Soul Doll, but I fell in love with the Angel concept art doll which isn't being sold anymore except as a blank doll. But I was browsing their other kids and saw Elfin, and I'm wondering if that's a totally different mold? Because they look identical to me. lol

 

They are VERY similar but if you compare them blank you can just about see that the eyes and mouth are a little different.

 

Right! I see it now. I'm torn because I'd prefer not to get a blank doll... idk if I could pull off doing her faceup myself. And in the end it's the concept art doll's faceup that I really like. I'm so bummed I missed the chance to get her. But even though Angel and Elfin are so similar, I do prefer Angel's wider eyes.

 

Angel has been released two or three times since December 2021. Always with a different concept though. So I think you might just be able to wait until they release her again with a new concept.

I got mine blank but I really like her official faceups as well .

 

Oh thanks! That's good to know! I've been out of the bjd hobby/community for over a decade and Soul Doll isn't a company I've ever been familiar with.

I'd actually love to see what others have done with their blank Angels, but "angel" is such a common word on the DoA forum so the search results haven't been that relevant. If you have any pics you'd like to share of yours or links to other threads I'd really appreciate it!

 

That's my Angel. I'm still a beginner with faceup's so obviously her default company faceup would have looked way better .


@karlyl also posted some pictures of their S.Angel in this thread on page 27. And I've found some with the tag #souldollangel on IG but it's not a ton. (I say while never having posted mine on IG myself.)

 

She's lovely! I love what you've done with her! And your face-up is way better than what I attempted a decade ago. I love her pink hair!! Thank you so much for sharing!

I have checked IG and you're right there's just not much on there. lol I am getting an idea of what I'd like to do with Angel if/when I do get her after all of this though. Thanks again!

 

Hi! Recently discovered Souldoll and I really like Willow (Shabby ver.) and think she might suit a character I want to shell--but first I was wondering if anyone might have some pictures of the blank face and/or with a custom face-up?

@YoGi.The.Mighty She's very beautiful, indeed! I think the sculpt has a lot of potential for what I'm thinking about, thank you for sharing!

 

Happy to help. She is one of my favorite sculpts and one of my favorite dolls.

 

I'm new to souldoll, but I'm so tempted by their face sculpts (torn between Juno and Molly). However, I don't really like the kids female body as it's way too mature for my liking - all my other MSDs are in their early teens, so no curves.
Does anyone have experience with hybrids with Myou bodies? (Thinking about version 3 female body that looks more teen-like). Mostly interested in the colour match.

 

I have a Souldoll Hari on a Myou New Version 2 body. The Myou NS seems more yellow than Souldoll, so I added a little yellow when doing the face-up.

Thank you for your reply and a photo! I suppose your Hari head is also NS?

 

Souldoll "normal" leans toward pink base, so if a company does body in "normal yellow" and "normal pink" I would recommend going for the pink version - more chances it will match.

My SoulKid arrived in 2015. Love her head but I’m looking for a less mature body. Anyone have a recommendation on a match to ( not new ) Souls Normal skin? A body that can stand & arms hold a pose and not smack herself in the face.

Hi there, does anyone have their Souldoll in the new white? I would love to see how it looks, as the old white was very very white and i am hoping the new will be a bit creamier in colour.

 

What a beautiful girl, she is lovely and her tan (neutral)? Is wonderful in that light.

 

My Vivaan arrived recently so I could show you blank pictures if you still need them. He doesn't have a faceup yet though. Mine would be very amateurish anyway .

Hey all! I recently ordered a Soulkid body in NS via Alice's Collections, and I was wondering if anyone here has any insight into how long the wait might be?

 

It's usually between 4 and 5 months. My first order two years ago took 5 months and my latest one this winter took 3 months.

 

What you guys think of there new 1/4 double joined boy body also does anyone have a kid blue boy?

 

Anyone else adore the event skin colour? Unfortunately i have about $30 so i cannot participate. But this is pretty much my dream resin color

 

@Iceymelody My problem is I've only just now realized how freaking pretty Millie is, but I would want her in normal and w/out $700 worth of limited full set.

 

I just wish they would do a kid boy fantasy hooved doll or something, it's always the girls and I want a boy to go with all my girls..lol. Vito's are just too large I have Paw and he just doesn't really fit in with my MSD crew...don't get me wrong he's pretty cool but HUGE..lol

 

Can anyone share owner pics of Horang? I want to shell him as the teen version of my vito Jacop.

@Amberay_SH : If you have an Instagram account, search #souldollhorang and there are three owner photos of that sculpt. Sadly so many Souldoll sculpts are pretty rare to see in owner photos. I'll keep my eyes peeled if I see anymore.

@Kitty Blue : I would love to see the boys getting more fantasy love! I feel so many companies seem to be partial to female sculpts/releases though. Souldoll did say in a comment on IG that they may do a release this summer for male sculpts in this cool fantasy blue resin. No special parts though.

 

@Iceymelody Maybe... I'm trying not to fixate. Lots of other pretty dolls to choose from. I'd sort of like to try another company for my #2 anyway.

But that face...

 

Souldoll announced earlier today on their IG that they are adding Junia-Animal (yay, cause I asked about it on QA and seems someone else did too), and they replied to me on IG that the kids boys will come in PLavender Blue next week.

Does anyone know if the girl heads for their kids dolls can be put on their boy body? I saw the neck difference is 7.7cm va 6.5cm for the new kids bodies between boys and girls. Ideally I'd want a boy body but the head I want is a girl head :S

 

I put a girl head on a boy body in the past, although it was the NL boy body (but the new boy body should be about the same). You can see the picture here and decide if that looks acceptable for what you want to do. It probably depends on the proportions of the individual sculpt too, however. The Kuu head I used is a small MSD head.

 

Thank you for the reference! I had a lovely friend of mine also show me pics of the new body with girl and boy heads swapped and it also seems like a good fit. I might see if I can ask souldoll for a swap maybe next week when they release the boys.

I haven't been here since part 5 of this thread, hello all!

I'm thinking about getting a souldoll WooJin (to go with my Lev as his cousin) at some point, but no matter where I look I feel like I can't find more than two or three people who own the sculpt. I would really like to see how more people style faceups on him before I make my final decision. Does anyone here have a WooJin or know someone who does? I would love to see them if so!

 

@theWK : if you have Instagram, search #Souldollwoojin for 3 owner pictures. You might be able to search other social media platforms with that tag. Best of luck finding pictures!

 

Yeah, that's where I had seen few people who had them. I'm hoping maybe someone new who has a WooJin will browse this thread and share theirs! I'm not sure where else to check, honestly, with just three posts on instagram and nothing in the tag on tumblr. It doesn't look like there are any doll profiles here on DOA for a WooJin either.

Anyhow, I'm excited to see when people start receiving their dolls with this pretty blue resin color! It's always cool when companies do special fantasy colors like this!

 

@theWK : Unfortunately some of Souldoll's molds are very hard to find owner pictures of. There are some dolls of theirs that I don't think I've ever seen owner photos of. But I hope you'll take a chance on him! He looks very cute and think he would look nice alongside little Lev.

 

Yes!! It always makes me sad to find a sculpt I love and then see there is almost nobody else who has them. I'll definitely be sharing a lot of pictures of my WooJin (and Lev!) once I get him! I will fill the tag for the sculpt myself, haha!

I'm already very excited to shell the character, I'm just waiting to save up to order him. I've never ordered a new full doll before, so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of shipping, especially these last few years!

 

@theWK : Yay! Yes please spam them both. I recently bought a Lev, and am working on his faceup... though I am having trouble with his eyebrows so I am not sure if I should wipe him and start over.

Souldoll does a lot of really amazing events throughout the event, and they have been doing a lot of shipping discounts during those events so hopefully once you save up you can order him during an event period to help reduce the shipping costs. My Souldoll Vito girl (who is close to MSD size) was $105 shipping fee before the discount... and after it was $52~

 

They actually went ahead and released all the kids boys for the purple skin this event, for those of you who were yearning

 

I caved and finally ordered some dolls today after they released the boy line! I snagged myself a Junia-Animal and Rudy-Boy, they're both absolutely so cute and precious

For the record, when I asked about swapping the girl and boy bodies, they said no at first but then said since both lines are released they'd be happy to accommodate for my request. However, I ended up buying 2 and ended up deciding on a boy and a girl, so I didn't end up taking their offer in the end. But if anyone else was interested in doing so, it seems like they'll say yes!

 

I'm so so so tempted to get a junia animal or junia spider~ I look forward to seeing yours
