I got some antlers for Tuulikki! Still deciding if I will paint them or not.

Soom's outfits are amazing. But I was rather disappointed in Bygg's Starlight Prince outfit since it has so many loose threads and dust. D: It stains badly, too, so please be warned. For other outfits, let's just say they're amazing. I will probably steer clear of the black ones though.

Fransyung: I know I was one of the first to notice and it really stained my poor Strife but it's only the skirt wrap and head wrap... I put those away until I can let them soak for a while and it really was disappointing. But the rest of the outfit is fine and it really looks so cute! Thanks for the warning though. It's also amazing that a company that produces dolls would do such an error in their fabric.

 

I know that some companies put disclaimers on their wigs and/or clothes about staining if you leave the wig/clothes on the doll for too long. Luts puts that disclaimer, even on light colored wigs that likely wouldn't stain. I think with dark clothes it might be semi-unavoidable because of the dye or something. That happens with human clothing as well, which is why you shouldn't wash a brand new dark colored shirt with your light laundry load.

 

Yeah but this wasn't a time issue, the black dye literally was rubbing off on my fingers as I handled it. I don't think that should happen.

 

Oh yikes! O.o That does seem a bit too much! :/

Although I think I had an outfit myself (human-sized) that did that once. Not 100% sure, but it struck a chord in my memory.

Still, that's not really a good thing! But at least it rubbing off on your fingers enabled you to know that putting it on your doll probably wasn't a good idea yet! ^^;

 

Yeah I thought at first that it was something else I touched but then I noticed some dark spots getting on his body and was like "woah! woah! wth?"

I don't know why (maybe cuz I'm blond myself?), but most of my planned dolls are blond. And my only current tiny who isn't blond is Laurel and her hair is white, so close enough! :P

I had a huge anxiety a while back once I realised most of my dolls were blond... I wanted more variety, but I think I'm ok now.

 

Yeah, I sometimes get a little freaked out by it, just because I don't want to seem hairist (lol!), but I do have dolls with other hair colors planned, just not home. I have at least a few brunettes planned and I'd like to have a doll with wavy black hair too, which I think can be so beautiful! I also really want to have at least one doll with an unusual fantasy color hair! Like blue! :3

 

I got one bw outfit, the black dress with the two skirt/tops for it. I bought the dress from someone splitting the outfit, and it's really nice quality. I wouldn't say that all of soom outfits were worth the price but some definitely are.

 

No Sully yet. But his tracking says he's in the USA as of the 13th.
Does anyone know how long it takes once its in the country? I thought two or three days? :0?

 

It stained my Isara's chin and cheeks and nose~ D: I had to clean him for the longest time using magic eraser, water and soap! Luckily it doesn't ruin his face up. Nightmareally is right, the stain just rubs off instantly... >.> It's not a matter of time.

Also, i'm looking for a solid light grey fur wig that fits teenie gem heads. i've looked at nine9style, and theerif but where else would be a good ~fast~ place to check? i really want to get to work on my boy ! i was thinking of checking spite&malice, though their wigs for teenies seem to have alot of hair on them; help D;??

 

Try Angell Studio? They have nice fur wigs. Although I don't know if their fur wig collection extends to YoSD size.

 

Hatter: How about Luts? I believe they have a collection of fur wigs? I wanna say Crobi too as they are now my new favourite but they don't do fur in Yo size. :<

Yep, spite and malice are very nice but also super poofy. You can also look at sunnys wonderful world but i find they dont have enough hair xD then there is also aka sarushi wigs by aibakaneko, i think it is, who looks to do nice tg wigs.

I like the Sunny's World wigs, inexpensive and enough fur for my girl who had it. But to each his own. And yeah, you have to yank a little to get them out of their bags. It's hard to hurt resin. XD

 

Grats on your Lami arriving Lelite! XD indeed they are in there pretty tight, which part of your darling is still stick inside? Just the waist? ^^;; i found once i had the hands and feet out, and the neck untied i had to give em a little tug to get the waist out.

 

It's actually everything, pretty much - his holding hand, his waist, and his feet. D: Cautiously yankin' on him stretched his elastic but didn't really dislodge him. He's in there good.

Okay, I'll try to yank some more, and if worse comes to worst, I guess I can just snip the seams and sew them back in later.

Sounds like your man is stuck in there good and tight! Maybe soom changed the pillows xD but he had to get there in the first place. If you're still stuck, try just taking off the hands and feet then putting them back on again, perhaps one at a time. I imagine he will be free by now but at least someone else may find use in this idea

 

I ended up having to cut a couple of the seams. I'll sew them back on because I really want to use the bag, but, I reaaally don't want to have to disassemble him to put him in there... I actually suspect they sew them in there, because a) Pep's got marks on one side that look like they were left by a grazing sewing needle and b) there is NO WAY I'll believe someone managed to wedge him in there in the first place. But, it doesn't matter!

Does anyone know if a Minigem wig would fit a teenie gem. I have no idea how different their heads are. I am really liking that wig that they have on the new mini gem and would love it for my Sov

 

The Mini Gems are the fairy-sized ones, right? I think they have teeeeennnyy tiny heads, like, taking 4-5 inch sized wigs if not smaller (versus 6-7" for the TG's). So I really don't think they'll fit.

 

Forgive me for double-posting... But I just wanted to ask. My Lami seems to have really thin resin around his eyes. Mostly on his normal head. Here's a photo. It's pretty similar on his other head, but not quite as bad - I'm mostly worried about his eyelid, it seriously looks like it might be as thick as my fingernail in some places.

Is this normal for Soom, and nothing to worry about because it'll hold up? Or should I be contacting them about this? I'm just really worried that it's going to chip/break and my poor Pep won't have a head. ='C

 

They are quite normal to have the thin lids.
If you are concerned you can always contact them. Hmm.

 

Glowinshanka, its not the best photo, but its the only one i have right now of dolomi eyes. If your really needing a better one then i can try to grab another these didnt suit my taco so im not using them currently. I tried them on my silt too but they didnt look right either xD

 

I think you mean the Little Gems (the MSD sized dollies). I'm not fully sure what wig size they take, but I'm guessing it's 7~8. You might be able to get that size to work on your teenies, but you'd definitely need to use a wig cap and it might look wrong. :/
If you have any 7~8 wigs at home, give it a try!

I've been stalking the Box Opening forum this morning looking for more arrival threads of Trachy and Lami! I've only seen one of Trachy so far with very few photos in it (and no actual "box opening" photos), so a bit disappointing. I am quite curious about that red resin! XD
