Heheheh yes... XDDDD Now... If only I can get a Lazule and a teenie Skoll... then a Carnel with a teenie Bygg... THAT would be super awesome! *patiently waits for the next SO teenies* (~_ _)~ Which ones do you think they'll create this time? I'm thinking Euclase and little Hati/Skoll...

There was something adorable in Minette/Pyrol that reminded me of Bygg/Beyla which made the click in my head.

There cute the centaurs are cute but I can't justify spending so much...

 

I still can't get my kids to stand near trees... >.> Trees in here have ants on them. >.< I'm so scared they would get into the kids' wigs... (_ _)

 

I've got a quick question for any Shonki owners here. Has anyone done a faceup on their Shonki yet? I'm curious about how the MSC goes on black resin, as it makes me a little nervous about the dreaded 'white fuzzies'. I was also planning to paint my doll up a bit like the Egyptian Bastet, but I'm not sure about how well gold acrylics would go on such a resin colour (I don't want the gold turning green over time, or for the metallic colour to end up having a bad reaction with the resin). Has anyone had any experience with customizing their Shonkis? Thanks in advance!

Actually I don't think I've seen one Shonki with any other face-up than the original... I'd really like to see those though!

Hippu and Nuu are going to get company from a Pyrol human boy which I ordered the day they came out. I still kinda prefer the R.Head for the extra grumpyness, but I intend to make every effort to make my boy grumpy even with the OE head. Camera angles and eye positioning also make for a lot.

I'm quite exited! This will be my first 'real' boy since I modded Hippu to be neutral. Need to order a wig from the next paycheck...

 

There aren't that many Shonkis around unfortunately. :<
I am guessing you'd treat them like dark tan resin... perhaps use Zouk spray versus MSC? MSC does tend to lighten things a tiny bit.

My Pyrol will be a girl. I wish they'd offer an option for NS girl. But I'll take what I can get.

 

I got the shipping notice on my body and hand parts from the special ordering period in the summer.

So Arty (glati) will be getting new double jointed elbow I hope the resin matches. And i have the body for my floating Beyla head.

fransyung- Taking photos outside at a meet I actually found a bug (like an ant or something) on my camera about a half an hour later as it crawled across the screen o_0 And I've ruined a pair of white Dollmore shorts putting my Drui in a tree. (now they're green and brown on the back!)

Does anyone know how well http://www.ttyadoll.com/ clothes, especially the shoes might fit Soom tinies? I want the Nike shoes they sell (so detailed!) but some look like they've been cut down the back to fit the Volks Yo feet in them, so I'm not sure if I could even get them on my Afi... (when he comes -_-)

 

I haven't tried their shoes, but their clothes fit Teenie Gem well.

I got a Pyrol. Paid him in full, now I'm hoping I'll be one of the ones to get him before Christmas. How awesome would that be. ^_^

 

I've been meaning to drop in and spam my Keny. He's kind of embarassed to have his picture taken in a borrowed wig and random eyes and without his proper face-up.


His name is Siltár Cir Arion, nephew to Winick the boastful. He's a little Lesun, a protector of the forest. Since his brother Yanír has been sent to school with the humans he comes out of the forest more often these days.
If you are interested, I made him and my Aphan a box opening thread.

 

He's wearing the Skoll default clothes and wig. Never expected to use either, actually. Apparently it was required for me to get the keny so the outfit and wig could be useful.

And congrats on your Pyrol! Lucky ducky! Congrats to all getting centaurs. I like the centaurs, but I like the girl OE face and faceup best. Though the uni heads are cute, too.

 

I'm going out with my friends today, and the babies are coming with me. ^^ Since they're genderless, it's all right if they're crossdressing as girls... right? XDDD I had so much fun changing their looks! ^^ Spam now... XDD

 

.... I was all set to disagree with you, then I went and looked at the ponies again... and i can actually believe you... I was just SURE that the boy pony had a different eye shape and mouth shape... since he looks so blisteringly cranky, and the little girl looks so calm and sweet... But looking very VERY closely I can see that you are probably 100% correct. Those face up's are something else...

I personally am So NOT relived by the new babies.. but it's kinda funny, trying to decide what head 'd want for my mermaid now that we have a new head I realized that I like the yrie head for a Minette... O.o I feel so weird.

 

I just ordered Minette, she's my first Soom doll, so yeah, hi everyone! My baby should be here soonish Hopefully.

Hello, I've been reading this thread for a while now but haven't shared any of my teenies.

I have Eliv an Iv, Bygg and Beyla and Winnie Dee Afi.

And recently I was lucky and bought a Winnie Dee Ai from a friend.

Lynn: It has been like that with Soom's tinies, every set in the month are the same sculpt. But with different faceup it really shows the potential of how they CAN look. I mean, just look at Silt and Keny! I am covinced that Keny does not make a good girl but Silt can, but they are the same face! XD

 

Their outfits are a little too expensive for me... (_ _)~ But I have a question... Are Teenie Gem's feet bigger than YoSD's?

Oh... and if I'm not mistaken... Soom will soon discontinue the Monthly Dolls... >.> I read it somewhere... (_ _) That this year would be the last... So we might not be able to see Dragon babies after all.

 

Hmn I kinda would like if soom released some more -normal- dolls that are precious n awesome and not just the MDs.. though I adore most of them..

fransyung- I don't know, I always thought YOSD's had bigger feet than most of the same size, but I could be wrong...

 

Don't have any info on the shoes but their tops fit really well.
One thing about the pants tho,


The red ones here, (and in the picture with the tree) are extremely loose. There is a belt thing you can pull to tighten it up, but it loosen up easily and the pants will fall off. XD

 

Good to know... o_0 I wanted to order a pair or two of their jeans since they're so well made, but now I'm not sure... I hate fiddling with clothes that don't fit.

I did find a YoSD Hakama & Kimono on DOA for $7 ^__^ Definitely getting it, too cute. XD

 

ARe those Syen's feet? They are soooo cute!! If not whose are they? Do any of the other dolls have feet like that?

Well, MDs are really addictive. The though that you either have to take the plunge or miss out is bad. I didn't really need to have Yanír, my Aphan and I hadn't even thought of a character for Siltár, my Keny - but when I saw both of them I knew that I had to postpone my other dollie plans and get them. Otherwise I'd have to haunt the MP for months and would end up spending more money than I did buying them on sale.

navci, do the TYYA pants go over Chiakari's hooves? I'm still looking for cute things for Siltár that are more casual but they need to go over his hooves easily. I don't want to take them off every time I redress him. He's also destinctively a boy and doesn't want to be put into dresses and skirts (except for the Bygg outfit).

but im surprised i like them, i havent been soom'd yet this year and was surprised! Keny&Silt almost got me but i had my Ai and Glati at the time so didnt really care for them that much. But Pyrol is too cute~ im just not fond of his big 'ol ears x3 while theyre cute i like pointy ears (like glati) on my tinies -so picky -

So im sticking with my hunt for a hati/skoll, thats where my heart is sitting and its staying strong.
So if soom released human version of hati/skoll id jump on it (the ears wouldnt be pointy but whatever!)

lol theres an events discussion about it going on so i dont wanna chat too much about it here, but the way the lottery works is that if you have purchased a doll from soom you can use your order number to enter a lottery . The lottery is basically that you win the chance to purchase the doll. From what i understand you can only enter if you have purchased directly from soom before.

I am sure there are lots of people int he discussion thread that can clarify that for you guys if you wanna hop over and check. A LOT of the 09 doll swere added actually ^^;; im surprised nobody else noticed!

Thankfully im safe from entering the lottery for a while i thought it would be fun to but then i realized that im already paying off a doll for this year and theres no way i could drop the cash for a set right up front since they arnt offering layaway on event items.

 

It's a lottery to buy them. you can apply for more than one doll. I think you don't have to be a former soom owner to be in the doll raffle. I guess we find out in a couple of days.

No, unfortunately. I did everything the hard way more or less. XD That's why those pants usually don't come off very often. Just I find if you look for pants that'd go over the hooves then they just doesn't look right, they look big and too poofy. :<
