Doll companies need to stop coming out with amazing dolls - I want too many and I have to pick and choose!
That being said I love that Rudy is being offered. I adore my Rudy I bought from vanori and I think she needs a gray sister! I’m definitely getting an outfit too. So many people want one and it’s great she’s being offered again.

 

I was just wondering if the next MD was going to be a petit gem. As cute as these two are, I think I'm safe. Hopefully those who missed out on the first run of Rudy will be able to pick up one of these.

I hope they'll do some of the other petit gems in different colors. I'd love an Ondiin in brown tan.

 

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad Rudy is back up for sale. I thought the original colours were endearing, but I couldn't get either, which was a letdown.
Now I'm facing a dilemma choosing between the two! They're beautiful! I'd love a light blue, glittery blushed white one, but the grey one is just oddly charming. Darn it...! Also, is anyone else thinking of changing the horns of their Rudy into goat horns? Deer fawns are cute, but a little goat! It'd be so cute! Anyways, I hope I can get enough money by the preorder date end. It's a shame that they're always so short. Maybe I'll have to search the market instead, if they don't release another one next year. It doesn't seem likely that it'll happen again...

 

I caved and bought Rudy in a heartbeat I love white deer! I've had my eye on Ondiin for a year, and will probably get her too if she re-releases. I wish Soom would do a mix and match part event for Petit Gem XD ;;

 

I placed an order for a gray Rudy with all the options. I’m excited to have twin Rudy’s! They are so adorable and I got one black and one white outfit so they both have a little dress.

 

I just found out about the Petit Gem dolls, and I am so in love with them. Anyone knows when/if a new petit gem is going to be released soon?

 

@Sewb Soom seems to release one every few months. The last being in Nov. A re-release of their Christmas/winter gem Rudy. And it's always random. Waiting around is the best advice I can give.

 

Roughly every 3 to 4 months, according to the last 5 releases.

I recently got my Rudy is (super quick!), and a friend was asking if the magnet feet can hold her on every metal surface... well they do.



I unfortunately still have no idea how to blush her x.x

 

Wow you got her super quick! I just paid my Rudy off, but I’m sure I won’t get her for awhile!

 

Never mind, she just shipped! Hopefully that means others will get theirs too!

Thank you @Doko She's wearing 12mm eyes from Soul in a Box - although I had to sand her eyewells a tad bot on the outer edges to make them fit better (10mm would have been better probably).

I just bought a Leepy from the mp! Im so happy to finally have gotten one. She will be in good company with my DC Fiona named Sol who is white. So then my grey Leepy should be named...Luna.

 

I received my Rudy yesterday! She’s beautiful but I was surprised to find that none of the magnets were put in (not sure why I was surprised, I guess I was caught off guard). Does anyone have any tips for putting teeny tiny magnets in all over and not ruining the faceup or blushing? I’m so nervous to ruin something!

This reply might be too late, but I used superglue for mine! I used one of the little tubes with a small tip to get into the small holes for the magnets. I used maybe half a drop for each(if that lol), I didn’t want any to ooze out and I figure if they pop out later I can just reglue them.
It’s a little scary, but not actually so bad!

It’s not too late! I have to get superglue at the store. I’ll be really careful and get the smallest tube I can find!

Hello, thread! Hoping to join in here. Now that I finally have magnets properly glued in for my Rudy (yup, managed to glue one in backwards thanks to the head magnet being just strong enough to influence the ear one!), and made a replacement s-hook for the one that went ZING! when I changed out one hand to a fist hand.... I think we're finally ready to start playing some.
Got my Rudy a little bit ago, and my Leepy long before that, but got Leepy blank. Poor thing is still blank and butt naked. Got Rudy's faceup, but blank body.
Early this morning I pounced on the little fennec fox Fosy. THIS time I got full faceup and body blushing and outfit. He'll be ready to play as soon as he arrives, by golly.

Leepy got his name before he arrived, Vex. But Rudy just finally got his today: Nox. The little fox will be Lox.

I love seeing what you guys have done with your Petit Gems! I'm wondering how on earth I'm going to get little Leepy's face done...
And clothes? Ha... these two are going to run around naked for a while I suspect.

@aernath congratulations on your super cute crew. I’m glad you got a Fosy, and am looking forward to seeing pictures. I have a grey Leepy on her way. Mine is blank too, but fits with all the other blank dolls I have....

 

Maybe a weird question, but does anyone know if Petitgems fit into Blythe clothes? I'd like to get my Rudy some clothes... :S

Edit: Blythe shoulders are 3,5cm, Petitgem are 2,3 or something. No Blythe clothes then x.x

I have been stalking this thread since Rudy came out this past Christmas. I fell in love with the little Petit Gems.
I'm still a little hesitant about their size, but they are so cute!
I missed out on Rudy because of a mixture of financial obligations and procrastination that led to the missed deadline.
So I'm taking the plunge! I just ordered a tawny Fosy!!! I'm so excited!

 

@kurogane thanks! Cute really gets to me and I have quite a few anthros running around here. Big and small. Usually they're from Pipos or Dear Mine, but lately, I have found myself clicking on soom! These little ones are absolutely adorable!

Oh! I just realized that my Rudy didn't come with a metal stand, but my Leepy did! So I looked more closely, and looks like Fosy won't come with one either. And soom doesn't seem to sell them separately... What are alternatives you guys are using?

@aernath, I think you should contact Soom and ask about the metal stand just in case. I'm pretty sure that all of the Petit Gems have been released with stands. It's really subtle in the Silent Night Rudy sales page, but there are some pics where you can see Rudy standing on it.

 

I would love to, but it all chalks up to the weather. I work road construction and am just finally getting back to it after a month and a half of being laid off due to weather delays. This is my first week out, so I hope I have a good enough check to be able to order Fosy. I didn't see a layaway option, but if we don't have anymore rain days this week, I should hopefully be able to order Fosy on the second.

 

Yeah, but it's not actually listed in the contents. I will ask anyway and see what they say... I was wondering if anyone else had noticed it, or if it was obvious to everyone else and I just missed it...

Oh no! That's not good, I hope the weather gets better for you to be able to get one. I'm not sure if there's a dollar amount that you have to get to for the layaway, but when I checked out an hour ago on their website it looked like there was an option for it. I wish I would have looked closer at it.

 

For some reason only Ondiin's and Leepy's page lists the metal stand as being included. My White Forest Rudy did come with a metal stand though, despite it not being stated on the sales page. It's possible that they simply forgot it.

Soom allows layaway for orders that are at least $300 i think, although i'm not sure if they include shipping in that amount

You definitely should have gotten a stand. My Rudy and others from this release included one, even blanks. Like Taixonay said, they probably forgot to pack yours! (Or maybe you overlooked it in the box?)

Fosy is very cute! I'm excited to see everyone's when they come in!

 

Yeah, the total with shipping and adding the outfit only came to about $250USD, and I don't see a layaway option when I go to checkout, so I shall leave it up to fate. I am also looking forward to seeing everybody's Fosy when they arrive. I've never ordered directly from Soom before, what are the wait times usually like?

My Rudy took two and a half months, but I saw that some blanks only took one and a half! An msd I got from them a long time ago took four or five months I think? That one was bigger and had fantasy parts though, so that probably added to the wait.

 

I got an Ondiin second hand from the MP. She finally arrived. I've been hoping to get a chance to have one ever since the preorder! She's very cute and I'm in love with her fangs.

 

Congrats @WaterGleam !! I've been looking on the MP for any others too!! She's darling! I can't wait to see how you style her!

I saw an Ondiin fs earlier this year and I'm kicking myself for not jumping on it. I even asked Soom if they had any but no dice ; ; The did look though which was sweet of them

 

No offers yet sadly. I had an awesome DOAer who messaged me directing me to someone they knew on FB who was selling a Rudy, but by the time I got a chance to message her she had already sold it. TT.TT
At first I was really stingy with how much I'd offer, so I upped my offer a little to see if maybe that was the issue. I'm just guessing that people who buy them really hold on to them.

I hope that they re-release Ondiin too. It's really awesome that Soom looked to see if they still had one for you. I always did wonder what happened to the dolls that people ordered and fell through with. Certainly they don't wait until every single person has paid before casting all the dolls.

Good luck looking though! I know EXACTLY how you feel. I'm more interested in Rudy, but I feel like I've been scouring the Earth this past month looking for one. Naturally though, if I buy another doll there will be a flood of Rudy's everywhere

 

OMG this exactly. I feel like they always pop up as soon as you're not looking anymore. I bought a Soom Han/Asronn second hand a month before Soom rereleased them again >,>
