I went back today to look at his pic and he is gone, how odd lol

 

Either Soom has decided to release something else first or they are working on his webpage.

 

That's a little odd. Perhaps it'll be back up in a couple of days.

 

Nascence got some new eyes this week! Sadly it's been so cloudy lately, the lighting has been terrible.

Got some photos from my friend who is a photographer. This is Ender and he just came to my home for 1 month. Love him so much recently!!!

Hi! I searched through the thread to find an anwser but couldn't find T-T

For the Mega Gem (I'm going to get my Ender soon ♥), what size of shoes fit? His feet is 8,5cm long, so shoes 8,5-9 should be right?

Does anyone happen to know if Soom's jointed hands will fit a Mega Gem? Or any other jointed hands that would work? Thanks!

 

The Super Gem jointed hands or the Idealian jointed hands? Idealian hands would definitely work. I don't have jointed ones, but the wrist ball on the Idealian and Mega Gem wrists are almost exactly the same size. I suspect Super Gem jointed hands would be too small.

Oh my gosh yes! If I wasn't saving for a car I'd buy him - he's just adorable, and that dragon tail!

 

@Quiet and Insane oh yea I guess he is supposed to be a dragon huh! I always relate the bat wing horns with vampires because of darkstalkers so I was like not really understanding his tail or minster hands but that's it!

 

I dont like the tongue sticking out... do you think the tongue is removeable? And if yes would there be a huge gap in the mouth?

 

I don't think it is removable.

 

@Tangmalangaloo yea i really wish they had a no tongue version-- but i guess thats whats unique about this sculpt *sigh* >_>

 

I'm pretty sure it's a part of the face and not removable. They probably would have shown photos if it was.

 

I did end up ordering Ender in grey skin (face up + eyes + wig)...I am so excited, he's my first big doll from Soom!
I have to buy a lot of clothes for him before his arrivals

Hello everyone! Very unexpected for even myself I got Soom Phonolus Didn't have time to think about his character or even name... He wears the only available wig and has no clothes except underwear Anyway, he is so cool I want to show him to the world

 

That Pholonus is so handsome! Wish Soom could realize a romantic human version of him again.

Tangmalangaloo thanks! He is a slightly modded version though, previous owner opened his eyes a bit. But I like him like this even more, since he resembles me a bit famous Russian actor

I've got a Phonolus/Ender hybrid who wears only a loincloth, so little clothing is no issue with me.

 

Quiet and Insane to a certain extent I am happy I have no fitting clothes for now since his body is too cool to be hidden underneath clothes
By the way, can anyone tell me what is the best fitting eye size for megagems? I have got mine with some default soom eyes and i have no idea what size they are.. I think I'd prefer some smaller iris size to get him a bit more realistic look...

 

I'm going to be completely unhelpful, but I've got 10 mm eyes in my Ender jackal head. They're a little too small and gap at the sides, but they also make his eyes look like glowing golden orbs rather than being realistic.

 

@Elzerough I have 14mm in my Shoshon, which is also the default size for Mega Gems. I would prefer 12mm also, but the glass ones I have gap too much, so I'm planning to buy some 14mm eyes with a smaller iris when I get a chance.

Eyeco 12/13 silicone or oval glass like these are a low cost alternative.

Most of my Sooms get Eyeco eyes. They seem to work well for them. Soom's suggested eye size is always too big in my opinion!

 

nancy_schroeder_ca, thanks for the info! I think I will go for eyeco 12/13 then.. Are they actually called like these - size 12/13?

 

I usually buy from Safrin and they list them by 12mm and on the size choice it shows 12mm(13mm). I was a bad girl and didn't record what eyes I used in Migma! I will have to check!

 

Does anybody here have Aslan? I'm having a devil of a time finding owner pics of him.

 

I do! But I'm sorry to say I haven't taken pictures yet! I bought him in the market place.

Aslan is the doll I fell in love with, but I didn't order him because he was very expensive and I couldn't get the money together in time. Also, I've never had a bjd before. Anyway, more than a year after he was released, I got a line on a secondhand one at a price I could afford (if the seller would take layaway, and lucky for me, they will!) and since I was still in love with him, I've decided to go for it. I'm super excited, but I can't seem to find many photos of other Aslans. I wonder if maybe he wasn't that popular?

 

I passed when he was for sale and kicked myself afterward! So when I saw one in the marketplace, I fell for him! I just have the human version.

 

The human version is the version I'm in love with too. Did you get him in the tawny skin, or the white?

 

Tawny! With faceup and body blushing which is gorgeous!

 

How lovely! The tawny skin is really beautiful. I actually like it the best, but the one I'm getting is in cream white. It's a small difference to me.

I'm fairly gutted that the new Romantic Ender head is only available on the Idealian release for this month. My grail is the Dream Walker Ender in gray which I missed out on since I joined the hobby after. 75cm bodies are just a step too large for me. MegaGem's are the max height I'll go and DW Ender was perfect for the character I had in mind. He's so rare and I've never seen him up for sale on the secondhand market either. I may never be able to get him.
So to anyone who owns that magnificent doll in gray skin....I will be extremely envious from afar.

 

Sometimes Soom will have body and head sales in all sorts of resin colours for specific sizes. So keep an eye out for those special sales while you stalk the marketplace here.

I hope this is the place to ask this sort of question... :P I've been looking into Soom boys. The Idealians are the size I want, but the Phonolus has the face I'm looking for. Looking at the measurements, I see that both types have the same neck circumference, but I'm not sure if the Mega Gem head would look too small on an Idealian body... Anybody have advice for a newbie?

 

Megagem heads are a bit smaller than Idealian heads but they do work on the Idealian bodies. Soom posted pictures when they had the FCE event a couple years ago but I can't find them now.

Check the recent Ender release! Ender is a Megagem head.

Actually a member here got herself a new Idealian 75 body for her romantic Phonolus head.
The head looks pretty good on the body.
I am sure it would also work on the smaller Idealian body.
