Still a pair of bronze teenie hands is close to $30... I'm going to have a hard time convincing my husband that my Hati will need a pair. And what pair to choose?

 

Oh just noticed the TG hands have the brown tan option for the older Afi's and Keny's now.

 

Probably a stupid question, but what is the difference between the new body basic and new body extra? What is the extra?

 

The extra piece is the additional thigh joint, up near the hips. This lets the doll sit with their chin on their knees. Soom has pictures of the differences on their website: male body and female body.

 

Well at least they dropped the price a little. Looks like I might have to add some hands to my Thera order then. Maybe some long nailed hands to go with a Breccia I'm going to be getting as she's missing her fox hands

 

Aready sold out?.....weird thing.....i also think they will be available again very soon because the offert is untill the last days of June.

 

Uh oh, long nail hands. And plain new bodies. My old WS Amber is almost begging for the extra body, plus she could share it with my two other WS girls. I wonder if the old hands and feet would work or if I can use Amber's faun half with the new body. Not that I need extra bodies lying around but it would be nice to finally have posable large girls.

Edit: New thought, why are there no master hands for the boys? I know they were very popular and hard to find. Be lovely for my Helard, make me less likely to hunt down a WS Heliot. Wait the bodies have the option. Weird.

 

Just ordered a little gem body :3 does anyone knows how long the wait will be? I never ordered directly from SOOM before

 

This is so wrong!!! I really want the new SG female body, but I already have a layaway with them now. So not fair!!

I'm so bummed that they aren't offering them separately! I'd hate to play the mob mentality card, but if enough people ask them about it on the Q&A and show there's a sizable want for them, maybe they'll pull a Vesuvia and offer them?

 

I could have sworn that they had long nailed hands for guys yesterday before they fixed up the prices. They had the picture up and everything. I know I have a cold right now but I didn't think I was delusional as well.

If enough people ask they should hopefully put them up

 

Bubblefox - I think in the teenie gem thread GeishaCookie asked how long the wait would be for hands and they soom said 50 days so as long as the wait is normally for a doll for the parts/body. So for those of us thinking of adding to an order, will definitely delay delivery a while.

I will order seperately, when I decide what hands I would like, this is my first bjd wait (my Glot) so not sure how I will cope with it all by the end

 

I was just stressing out over not having human hands or feet for my incoming girl and lo, behold, Soom delivers! Now just to worry about resin matches. ^_^'

 

I just asked Soom if I order hands and combine them with my FC order if they will be cast from the same resin and match.

I need to find a way to make enough to get those hands! I'm still waffling on what pair though though I am leaning towards either the Kenny/Slit or the new basic.

 

crap. they added mega-gem bodies... be careful of what you/i wish for... I'm not sure I can afford them... kinda pricey for bods...

Like Psycho said, I really wonder why they have long nail hands as an option for order with the boy body, but only basic, new basic, or sword for ordering separately? It's always possible to go with the female ones I guess (the wiki says that the wrist measurements are the same, does anyone know for sure?) but I really love the long fingered male hands..

I know I saw them yesterday, too! I am not on cold-medicine, either! It's upsetting that they'd pull them. ;;^^ Girl hands are just too effing small.

They seem to be changing their minds about which pieces-and-parts are offered every day, here, so I'm hoping maybe they'll change their mind again-- and add male claw-hands & shoeless high-heel feet.

 

It's listed on their notice with the male bodies and it's available if you buy the male bodies only it seems D: I bet if enough people messaged them about it separately they'd put them up. They do seem to keep adding things on (Like the brown tan option for TG hands) so I'd say message them and see what happens c:

You're probably just going to have to look around on past MD teenies for pictures. I think soom expected everyone to know what the bodies looked like so they didn't bother taking any for the event.. :/ Could try looking through flickr too. Or even the box opening threads for pictures c:

 

I'm pretty sure the long nail hands on the male body are just a mistake since a) there are no 'basic' long nail hands for guys and b) the listing doesn't allow you to pick any of the other hands shown on the page (basics, sword). I'm pretty certain Soom have just accidentally copied the female hand menu option into the male body page.

What 'long nail hands' are you guys thinking should be available? For the female body, multiple dolls have been released with a specific hand set listed as 'long nail hands' (Nephelin, Migma, Clozel). The sculpt seems to have replaced the old 'long nail hands' (the ones released with Vesuvia and Cuprit), rather than being considered fantasy parts (which normally have a fantasy name).

I can't think of anything similar for the male dolls (who get fantasy hands named to fit the one fantasy release - like Euclase's 'Dead Hands' or Heliots 'Master Hands'. I can't remember any dolls released with 'long nail hands'... but then, I haven't been paying attention to male dolls since 2010

 

They originally had a picture up of Arkose's hands for the male long nail hands... yet for some reason the option for them is still there while the sword hands option is now missing apparently, derp.

Hopefully Soom will fix things then, since something is obviously broken (either they've forgotten to release long nail male hands separately, or they've completely buggered up the Super Gem male body page).

The sword hand is still available to buy separately. It's just one hand, so that's probably why they removed it from the body order page.

Really, you'd think they would have sorted all of this out before putting it up for sale. I'm sure an extra week before the order period opened wouldn't have hurt them.

Well I'm happy that they kept the long nailed hands for the girls but it's not great for you guys that wanted them for the boys. Gender inequality perhaps?

The Breccia that I'm going to get had the hands sold and she only had the normal hands which seems to happen alot that people want the hands. Seems logical to me that it would happen to the boys as well. I mean who wants normal hands on a doll when the fantasy hands can have more expression? The little hands I got at the same time were just gravy

 

I'm glad Soom listed the female SG hands! Now, my FC Topaz will get two sets - the long nail ones and the new magnetic ones. Can't wait!

I ordered just a plain set of SG hands for my Galena. Are they the new magnet ones? That would be awesome!

It appears that the long nailed hands (the ones that look like Arkose's clawed hands) are not available at all for the Male Super Gem bodies? Drat! I was so hoping to order a body with those and add the sword hand separately! I wonder why they took them down as an option? While I don't mind playing with apoxie sculpt, I would have loved to get those hands in this order!

I'll probably throw in a set or two of the teenie hands. I'm not a fan of the newer style basic hands, and the ones on my Sov just don't look natural for him to wear all the time (maybe some Keny&Silt hands for him?). I hope they offer these hands again next year. I'll be better prepared. The last body sale was in August last year, so this one came a bit earlier than I was planning/expecting. Only my Glot from the teenie gem sale will come with the new hands, so I should probably get a pair of the old basic hands for her. I'm almost caught up on all my extra bodies *phew!*, so I could concentrate on hands next year! I do hope they offer the old bodies again next year though, just in case (since the new bodies don't take the old fantasy parts, outside of one possible doll, I have no use for the new style at this time).

I also asked them about getting upgrade arms for my gray Bygg... but they said no to that. Kind of disappointing, since they let me order an extra pair last year when I ordered a body for my Taco head (mod project).

I actually like the new basic TG hands better than the old ones. They're much cuter and more expressive. (Plus, since I live in Michigan, I love that the right hand is an almost perfect "mitten" hand. I used it for the cover image on the MI Facebook group.)

@Damasquerade: I got a similar answer from them when I asked about a sale for just TG centaur bodies. (crosses fingers ) I'm going to guess they won't add them to this sale, but maybe later this year or the next.

Just ordered my long-awaited grey girl with sword hand to go with the Galena talons I bought ages back =)

 

Hmm does anyone know if the old type head will fit on the new type bodies?

 

They'll fit, you'll just need an s-hook to put them on - I was also told by Soom the new type bodies won't come with one, in case you don't have a spare lying around and need to pick one up. (since the new faceplate-style heads use a resin piece to attach instead)

Hey, does anyone know which size of doll the wings are for? I can't tell from the picture whether they're for MSD or Yo-SD size dolls.

The back wings and head wings are being sold separately, so make sure you know which ones you want, because they are different.

You're in Indiana? Tonight at around 7:00 or 8:00 is when SOOM Opens on the 20th in Korea, they should be able to answer your question ad you can order tomorrow, as long as you order first thing in the morning-to be safe.. but as long as they dont close the period early you should be fine =)
