Soom Idealian : Gluino - Vampire Alchemist

I've always loved SOOM dolls and had hard times choosing which ones I WON'T buy. =_= Judging from that, I'd rather buy him now and see if we can bond in the future, if not, then off he goes to the MP (altho' it's very unlikely). I've waited for him for almost a year (after they cancelled the first vampire Aedan). T.T

 

I want to say I'm on the fence, but I'm actually over the fence and clinging to the side. It's only a matter of time before I can't hold on anymore and let go.

I can afford him and I love looking at him but....do I really want a permanently-fanged vampire? What if he becomes embarrassing? What if I can't ever find more clothes for him? Where would I PUT him!? He's huge!

The more I look at him, the more I kind of like the Soomish human face, too. I don't know if I'd really use it but it would be useful if I ever want him to put his fangs back in. I don't think they look like the same faces, though.

I love the body blushing but are some of his veins green? I don't like the yellow nails and would definitely redo those. Do both hands come with the blushing if we order it?

See, my dilemma is more of what to order than if I should order.

 

This is getting ridiculous. I keep adding him to the cart to stare at his price than quickly x'ing off the page and telling myself I'm being silly.

Vampire face with faceup + plus boots and eyes. I can easily swing it if I do a layaway over four months (It will just mean I wait a little longer to get my new compy)- but I don't *want* to enter another layaway I want some breathing room for a while. And I can just buy him outright but it means no new compy for even longer.

And I see I'm not the other one with the 'computer or doll' problem XD 'Least I'm not alone in my madness.

I know I already posted most of that before, but I'm still struggling. Just gotta hold out till the 11th and I can just admire everyone else's soom vamp XD

 

pastelflower... ^^ i didn't order the body blushing because i think i'd be able to do it myself if i want to. >.> body blushing is not that hard to do, altho' it requires a lot of msc. X3 if you're just going to redo the blushing, better not spend money on it. XD

tagi~ i've decided not to buy a new scanner. my old one can still work if i put the paper at the right position... (_ _") it might be able to survive for another month or two, until i got 2 more layaways done. *sigh*

 

My Mystique (Odette) is not impressed with vampires at all. But my husband wants me to get him. OH the price of it!

But on the other hand, and thank goodness I've got only two of them, LOL he is my Sard!

Not sure how Midsummer will take it, but she is really a cool faerie and doesn't mind my others, so she'll probably like him. But she does like to be the only tiny sized faerie, found that out the hard way............spoiled little thing! LOL

 

Just tell her she's so small, she's not worth eating!

 

Did anyone find out about his ears? are they pointed? (sorry if this was already answered...)

Sometimes, it really just depends on the style...but soom likes pointy ears so I was just curious X3 (Either way I'll be happy with it!)

 

I wanted to know too. I wrote to Soom. Here is what they said. The human head has human ears, the vampire head has pointy ears.

I think you are right VictorianWinter, it hard to see them at all, so they must be small. But that's okay less risk of knocking them off.

 

I love him!! I am so sad that I don't have money. The first time I saw him, I knew if I had been able to get him I would have turned him into Jean-Claude from Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake Vampire Hunter book series. Sigh... Oh well...

I'd love to see the head blank, too! It's hard to picture him in other wigs with those long distracting curls.

He's beautiful and pointy ears are to die for.
His body is amazingly sculpted and I love the way his veins show!

Oh drat, I thought I had my girls under control and now this. My lovely white skinned Delphine has been waiting for me to come up with a white Kalix (not easy) so I have been safe from a major purchase. Now she is whispering in my ear that this charming man will do for her needs just fine! UGH ! OK this is a little embarrassing but I cannot find his height anywhere. Before buy I must know he is enough man for her. (I mean tall enough!) Can anyone tell me where on the Soom site to find measurements PLEASE!

*gnaws lip* It might be possible after all. If I don't need the outfit. Irony: out of all the outfits Soom has done recently, the Idealian line has had the best clothing design of all their doll series, IMHO.

Does anyone know off hand if any other company's shoes fit the Idealian body?

 

Definitely possible, his feet are 9.5 CM, same length as Luts SSD. Of course width may still be a problem...Dollmore Glamor's a cozy 10cm, and both Iplehouse Model and Superhero top 10cm as well (yes, I have a spreadsheet now, LOL!), so I'm hoping footwear, at least, will have some options.

His clothing is wonderful, but...................they are 202.00! Dollmore? Do they have clothing that would fit him, that doesn't fit my wallet. Can't have a naked guy hanging around.

I missed out on this guy, and I'm a sad panda. I hope I can snag him on the secondhand market. But yeah, does anyone know what clothing would be compatable with Idealians? They're massive guys! x_x

 

...I only decided I wanted him after he was no longer available. But when it comes to dolls, when I decide to get one, I WILL HAVE IT lol. Marketplace FTW

 

We're discussing clothing over in the WR, because beyond some Iplehouse Superhero stuff potentially working (but it looks like the pants would be a no-go), we're a little light for clothes, but there may be some commission threads starting up, which is heartening! ^ ^

Actually I have the IPle EID Superhero jeans on my Pangen now and they work fine. I do have them tucked in his boots, but the length isn't bad. The jeans sit lower on his hips than they do my EID guys, so it makes the length better. Most of my IPle EID clothing that I've tried on Pangen works well............shoes included.

I have a question: my Gluino's head and face parts fit together rather oddly with various gaps and on the left side above his ear is a long thin gap that is very visible. I can even fit my thumbnail into it. I know that all this will be hidden under his wig but I was just wondering if the odd gaps were normal?

 

No it's not... Yeah, Tosh is right. Pictures might help us look into it? o_o

And that half worked. And the vampire face plate is just like the non vamp one with the gaps in nearly the exact same places so now I'm really confused.

 

Hm.. I have that too... but it didn't bother me much, because he will always wear a wig.

Wow, so he's not the only one with the little gaps. Ok, I can live with that. Everything else about him is fab enough to put his wig cap and wig back on and just admire how amazing he his. Thanks for the comparing pics Nightweaver!
