My sister really would love to order from Soom since she fell in love with Void. Yet, she is insecure about what option to order and how she can order the full set of this doll (doll, clothes, mask, etc.)

Would you be so kind and help me out? We never ordered from Soom before, and she’s kind of fhfdjdtfjfhgcsgjtjkk about this doll, haha.

There is a menu to select options including the Mask, hands, blushing etc.. To add to cart, then you also add the outfit to cart separately. There is no single option for just the full set.

I think I was right about him resembling chalco, but I love him in that bronze. I have to find a way to make him mine!

 

so the outfit doesn't come in the price of the doll? Yikes at that price I thought it did.

 

Am I the only one whos a bit... eh, irritated by his base price?

Tawny is +57$ if the dolls base color is white or normal (starting at 810$), and Bronze is +82$... Seth/Void only comes in Bronze, and is 30$ more expensive than Narmer, and they're basically the same (the claw hands are 42$ extra, so they're not the reason he's that expensive).

 

I was super confused myself! The price actually lead me to think the outfit is included in his price. It’s driving me crazy.

 

Nah, the 930$ really only includes a head and the ID75, both in bronze... nearly 1k for a blank doll? Oo I mean sure he's gorgeous, but...

 

I feel a very bad financial decision coming on... That boy is fine.

But ditto you guys. He's so expensive it's painful, especially when I want everything.

 

well I haven't ever bought a soom doll from them before so I'm not sure what is the norm. only an outfit and accessories, so I'm trying to figure out how much he really is for the full set.

I think it's obvious they're trying to phase out of the ID72 body so I'm not sure why everyone is surprised? They don't seem to be treating it like an option, but a "new' body instead. I prefer the ID75 body personally, but everyone else seems to like the ID72 and that should be enough reason for them to keep it. I really hope everyone gets that option added if you ask. Make them know you prefer it!

God this guy is handsome and his outfit is AMAZING. But that price is just not alright. 900+ for a blank doll.... 1400 for a fullset without faceup. I adore Soom but wow. Honestly though I still want to do it even for just the blank doll. He's so handsome and that bronze skin is sooooooo good.

 

Seth/Void is gorgeous!! but he's sooo expensive!!! why Soom? I'm thinking that price is too much, even for a bronze skin doll, to bad he's super handsome and amazing doll but even having the money, I would not pay that high price!

 

I left a post on the Soom Q&A board regarding the ID72 body.
I had several of the ID75 and yes they are great but I also prefer the ID72.
In the past I was able to sell the ID75 body and keep the heads but not seeing that as so easy to do anymore lol

I'v always been attracted to Egyptian mythology. So I just couldn't. And he's sooooo hot!! Seth, welcome to the family. And so, I had to put more items up for sale, lol.

 

I'm in the same boat, @marci12 lol! Sell all the items! He's just so hard to pass up, even with his crazy price.

I plan on getting him, I just can't decide if I want to let Soom handle the faceup/blushing or not. The blushing on my Raon boys rubs off like they didn't even seal it, so I'm leaning toward not at the moment.

 

Heh! They better have made some improvements. This is only the second ID I've ordered--Adonis Passion being my first and I won't see him for months. But his B face up looks AMAZING with those Seth eyes!! Eh, I love everything about him except that ridiculous price tag. I hope his face up is done well!!

But I guess The Gem, ID, and iMda have totally different production staff? Despite being under the SOOM umbrella? I've been wondering that. I'v had no issues with the two iMda company face ups I've gotten.

But I never get body blushing as yeah, I don't want to worry about careful body handling. But I did get the hand blushing on Seth and Adonis Passion .

 

@marci12 Oooo! I was so close to ordering Adonis, but wussed out at the last second lol. It's a good thing I did though, or Seth would not be in the cards at all. Please share lots of photos when you get him? He's so dreamy...

I agree that the B faceup is amazing! I've never had any issues with Soom faceups (they are always stunning), it's just the blushing I had issues with recently. My 'The Fox' from years ago still has her original blushing with minimal chipping, but my Raon boys already show more than her and I haven't had them a year. I am half convinced they didn't get sealed after painting. I only really worry about blushing when I know a lot of skin will be showing, but even the most minimal DIY blushing would be fine by my standards. I actually prefer a minimal look most of the time.

Gosh the new doll is pretty and I'm so tempted.... the layaway option makes it to easy to click the order button. He's so expensive though and I too wish he was available in the ID72 body.... but I just can't stop thinking about him. ^^; At least we have a little time to think it over....If I did get him he'd be by far my most expensive doll (I'd likely get the almost complete fullset).... I may have to start selling some stuff too.

I am passing on most of his add-ons, but I was wondering if anyone knew what the IDM-H08 looked like?

You will always get the regular hands. If you order the extra hands you will have two sets.

 

@Tangmalangaloo I'm definitely getting the outfit to go along with Seth. I have always been impressed with the quality of Soom outfits. If I had to make the choice between the doll and outfit, I'd honestly go with the outfit. Soom doesn't rerelease them, and they can be very hard to find on the secondhand market.

 

Seth is great looking.

I'm only getting the outfit.

But then I do like Egyptian themes. As for the doll if you are getting him blank without the LE face up, then you could always get him like that another time. At least I have seen that they do rerelease their dolls in other skin colors.

Does anybody know if the hands of the ID75 will work on the ID72?

 

I want to say I saw that the hands are interchangeable when I was looking at the ID75 heart hands released with Adonis Passion. Double check, but I think they work for either size.

 

@Tangmalangaloo 2 previous dolls (Grahame and Sabik) had choice of body, ID75 or ID72 so I don't think it is a casting issue but oh well I will just have to pass on this one as I did Adonis because I don't want the ID75 body lol

@CourtneyC I agree about the outfits, grab them when you can , I made sure to get the Clam and passion outfits and thank goodness for the ability to buy outfits on layaway as well lol

@Bren good question, also curious about that, I never thought to look when I had the ID75.

 

If you look at the hands that were offered with Adonis, it says they are compatible with ID72.

They usually do not release a LE sculpt again in the same skin color. I wonder if they are saving the ID72 bodies for a Free Choice Event. Then you could order Seth on the ID72 body in bronze.

I am very tempted by Seth. I have Narmer and then I would have two bodies and three heads!

 

Does anyone think Soom would allow a 6 month layaway instead of 4, just getting the blank doll and with shipping to the USA is well over $1000, sheesh you would think they could offer that at least.

 

@derilan85 You could always ask and see what they say. Although I think they said that recently they weren't allowing it anymore? I was allowed a 5 month layaway last year for my Raon twins, but my order was really really expensive. Even just one added month would make him much more reasonable IMO. I'd be jumping for all the options if that were the case.

 

@derilan85I read that they would just doing 4 months layaway. But you can ask them. Doesn't hurt to.

 

Sorry to hear that. Perhaps you can get the outfit and then try to get him at a later time if possible.

Hands are interchangable. And the extra hands you get are the Monster hands it looks like? They are really long fingered...

 

For those of you on the fence about getting the ID75, Here is a photo that might change your mind. I personally love the ID75. I love the ID72 too, but I cant do as many poses with that body like I can with the ID75

Don't get confused by the spoiler photo, I changed their wigs and the ID75 is on the right hugging his knees. I couldn't get the ID72 any farther than leaning over.

 

Thanks for the pics, etc!! I'm a first time ID buyer and kept hearing everyone prefer the 72. Glad to see some more love of the 75 and some comparisons as Seth and Passion are that size and will eventually be home with me, lol.

 

Ah oh well it was worth a try, they told me only 4 month layaway, so not fair and worst timing........here's to hoping I win the lottery then I would get this doll.

I think the ID72 is still a beautiful body and I got it before the ID75 was made. I couldn't pass up my scar-hyperon. I do think it really depends on personal preference for size. If you don't take photos past the knees, All the idealians would still look good with that body.

There really not much difference between them and there is a wide variety in real people . They could easily be classmates that are the same age!

 

Got my order in for Seth today. Ended up getting him with all his resin pieces (extra hands and mask), outfit, and wig. No faceup or blushing. The eyes were tempting, but I feel like I can probably find something similar later, and maybe a bit cheaper hahaha. Super excited though!
