I only see the open mouth with tongues.........oh my. He is a vampire, well as long as he does not come to life while I am sleeping.......

 

urgghh....you guys are right. There's only one head. I got thrown off by the price. How can three extra pieces of tongue-sized resin cost so much more? I'm stumped...

 

I was looking for a extra head, but I don't see it. Kinda sad, was hoping there would be a normal closed mouth head too.

 

I don't mind if his tongue hangs out all the time lol
I really like him and plan on getting him
He will fit in nicely with my other vampires.

 

The price is about the same as the prior Idealian 72 guys. In fact just $13 more than the last two.

Yes! separate vampire hands! or demon hands for me, I want a pair for my Demon Sullivan in cream white! and I like the wig too

 

Amor's face is actually nice, and I like the overall idea, but... I don't know why Soom didn't think about adding a closed mouth head or a different option for customers who do not like changeable tongue parts. I would have considered buying him, if only he had a more "standard" look. Maybe they just wanted to try something different, and it's ok...
I hope they will release him with closed mouth and pointy ears. ><

 

I'm glad that Soom is listing the outfits a wigs separately! I don't have much room left for new big guys, but the ones that are here like new clothes, wigs and shoes!

 

So I have never owned a Soom doll before, but I just purchased a secondhand Obsidius online, so then I decided to check the company out a little more thoroughly while I wait for him to arrive. But then as I so innocently browsed the site, I found the Idealian page, and the new Amor doll, and ohhhh do I want this guy! So sultry! :P I am super into the open mouth, I wish there were more dolls with non-standard facial expressions.

Man, I juuuuust bought the Obsidius though! Ahhhh, the perils of window shopping.

 

By the by, I see it says the ordering period ends November 10th. Is it possible for the doll to sell out before that? Or is it an unlimited pre-order?

 

I don't think SOOM's closed an ordering period early in years. I was told it happened with Vega - Last Song. I also know that the Faery Noellia sold out quickly but that was because she was released in a specific quantity (they ended up releasing more after she sold out so fast).

 

They actually have been a bit slow in closing items lately, but I wouldn't count on it! If I really want something, I don't wait until the last day. Remember that they are 17 hours ahead of us.

I was hoping to wait to order him until my other soom doll arrived in the mail you see, which I expect will be well before the 10th, but I will not get an estimate until the previous owner sends him out on Tuesday.

If it gets tight, you have five days to pay,so you could place the order and then decide whether to pay for it. But I don't think I would wait more than three days! See the FAQ section.

 

I wouldn't rely on anything in the FAQ section. They recently updated their rules, (harsher with less leniency) and they never reflected these changes in the FAQ.

I recently asked them to combine two orders (add a wig to my doll) and it was flat out refused. When I pointed them to the section in the FAQ indicating that they will combine orders they said they don't anymore and to disregard that.

 

I can't seem to make up my mind on getting Amor.

I like the open mouth and tongue aspect, as I do with IOS Infernale, and I prefer Amor's less severe face sculpt. Although I'd probably want the bloodstains that Infernale is pictured with ^.^ And I love the Idealian72 body, its so beautifully detailed.

The skin colors are what's making me hesitate on purchasing him though. I own several large dolls, but they're all in some shade of 'normal' skin tone since I hybridize a lot. I'm a bit nervous to get such a large doll in Cream White or Tawny, especially when I've never actually seen one in person and online photos vary so much.

The Cream White version reminds me a little of Lestat though which is probably why I find him so attractive.

 

Soom's cream white varies from doll-to-doll. But I do love my white ID72 bodies with body blushing!

 

I have seen a pics of Amor in instagram in cream white with a diferent faceup of the promos, with tears in his eyes, more soft and delicate, very beautiful

Thanks for that photo, I plan to have someone else do the faceup but was curious what all was included in the body blushing.
That romantic sad face was just SO beautiful, wish we could get that one hehe

 

Body blushing is when they coat the body first with MSC and then they blush it using pastels in light brown in color all over the body, chest, hands, the back etc... it is very beautiful in the end, but be aware that over time the blushing can fade or chip with movement of the joints. Also there are pictures here on the forum if you do a search for body blushing as well.

 

Here's a picture of the blushing on my cream white Gluino.He was done a number of years ago, so they might not do it just the same now but the veins are even blushed with blue.

Alright, I threw my hands in the air and I ordered him! PAID FOR. DONE. Couldn't stand to wait until Monday :P I got him blank in cream white, plus the outfit and wig. So psyched!

Yes they do. The fit depends on the item as the Idealian waist and thighs are between the model and super hero sizes. If you want room for sitting, the super hero size is usual better. Here is an old picture of River in Freedom Teller Your Highness in model size. He couldn't sit!

Idealians (MY Hyperon anyway) pose better than EIDs (I've superhero & model both). They are still massive & cumbersome...but really gorgeous LOL

I've had a IOS Infenale which had an open mouth and interchangeable tongues just like this one. He was simply lovely , but I just got my full of the open mouth very quickly. If it was a face plate I could switch out for a normal, non open mouth one, then I would have gone for Amor. I more regret not going for Sullvain, which, if anyone has pictures of him I'd love to see!!!

Not sure what to do now. I was hoping for that (maybe even tawny?) re-release of S.Hyperon that Julia was talking about a while ago on her instagram, but now that we'll have R.Hyperon in this FCE, I'm wondering if maybe they changed their plans and this is the only re-release we'll get for a while? Hmp. What dooo lol. I Like the scarface version so much better.

This event makes me want to cry but I really want R.Hyperon. I asked on the Q & A board and can buy R. Hyperon's head and buy different body type. I'm just wondering is the head of R. Hyperon any different than a MegaGem head? Would there be any issue if I bought the Hyperon's head into a megagem body? Or it has to be on an Idealian body?

The mechanism of the Idealian head is indeed different from the Megagem. The Idealians have the face plate system while the Megagem is just a head. However, the neck sizes of these two are compatible with each other and the shoulders are the same width so it will not affect hybridizing. The only difference is the height, the Megagem being 68cm while the Idealian is 72cm.

There was a mistake in the numbering (two 22s) so I renumbered it.

Anyone getting anything? I was going to order my allotment of 2 dolls this Xmas but I held off. Good thing I did...coz now I have to bump one of my other dolls off the list to make way for a Aragon. hehehe. Soom has corrected their mistake so I can get Aragon in NS. Be brave people...if you think anything doesn't make sense on their list...just send them a message. Like...R.Hyperon was released in SO but since the rules only apply to Limited dolls, technically shouldn't he be allowed to have ALL his colors?

 

I would have loved to see Pangen or Ebony I'm safe from these men.

 

Ahh that definitely cleared up my curiosity. Thank you very much! Now I just have to see if I really want either on a Megagem body or an Idealian. Idealian would have been my choice but then there's always the lack of clothes option.

 

No problem. It is actually easier to find clothes for the Idealian as they can share Iplehouse EID model tops and EID hero pants. The MegaGem has the same size upper body but shorter legs.

 

I sent a question about the possibility to order R.Hyperion in NS with Idealian body, and they answered me that only tawny skin is available for that choice (I would have purchased Hyperon in NS myself).
I think Soom doesn't want to release skin colours already produced for a certain body to make different dolls this time, which cannot be similar to previous Limited versions, so... If R.Hyperon was released later in other skin tones (also for the BJD conventions in which they took part), the only possible options are the unreleased skin tones and bodies... right?
Don't know what to ask about this matter to make them reconsider the resin colours. I have bought Ender in the 2012 Free Choice and having a doll in NS was ok for any model...
