Both of our Elloas shipped. My Mom called me last night with her squee! My Dad hid her shipping notice on her full set. I can't wait. We need more Idealian spam.

 

wow, I totally missed Zak! and he is so sexy too. Oh well, I was probably broke at the time having just ordered a bunch of other dolls at once... I'll be looking forward to seeing spam of him and all the other ones.

I really love the female Idealian's, but never got the chance to buy one. She is so lovely!

My York is on shipping too so it is definitely Christmas in July. He took about 2 1/2 months to ship after I paid him off.

 

I finally got to open my Elloa, whom I've named Lorelei. She was supposed to be my apothecary woman but I think she's rather attached to this rather badarse sort of assassin getup. She's gorgeous even without a face-up, I'm so glad I didn't pass her up.

I'd really love to see a wigless pic of Elloa at some point -- I wasn't sure whether her head/neck/shoulders proportions worked for me, and I hope to find out whether I should be kicking myself and haunting the MP, or whether I made the right decision for my own aesthetic preferences.

I REALLY wish Soom would offer a clearly-lit, wigless, nude, non-PhotoShopped pic of each doll -- it would make life so much easier!

It is incredibly thin. My Moms appears to have a dent in her chin. The blushing on her chin goes around it. Beautiful clothes and wig though.[/URL][/IMG]

I just have some questions about the Soom bodies. From what I've heard, Mega Gems tend to be a little floppy and need restringing/sueding/modding in order to get them to pose well. Are Ideallians (both 72 and 51) like that as well? Or are they better?

Also if anyone knows how much Soom's x-mas kits have cost in past years, that would be great!

A human Gluino is my Achilles heel! I was able to resist Zak but now a Gluino ;A; I can hear my SO Merc Hyperon whispering to me that he wants an ID72 friend TT^TT

 

[MENTION=70244]Choctopi[/MENTION] I've heard that since the Megagems and Supergems were designed with their fantasy parts in mind, they tend to not do well when swapped into their human parts. However, the Supergems were redesigned with a new body that poses really well once you SUEDE them (I have to emphasize this point). Megagems are notorious for being bad posers and because they're heavy, that doesn't help either.

I just did a shoot the other day and I find the EIDs are lighter and better posers. The Idealians are so heavy that their knees often buckle under their own weight. And since they don't come with a mobility joint, it is just that much harder to pose them. They can hold a pose forever once you get them stable...but because of their weight, they do tend to topple easily. It might be safer to use a stand if you want them in standing poses. Many people will suggest not just sueding, but also wiring them which is what I plan to do once my order of wires come in.

Xmas kits...for Idealians? Or just Xmas kits in general? I've only ever gotten xmas kits of Supergems but they were around $9X off - almost $100 which is the best bargain IMO. hope this helps.

 

@yuan-mdx Oh, thank you for replying. Hmm... so I guess without help, they're too heavy to stay stable?
There's like, 4 different dolls (from different companies) that I want, but only the space and funds for one, so I have to go around and weight the pros and cons of each to help me decide.

I think the new ID is going to be a ID51 though, the director of Idealian site posted the image on her Instagram and tagged it as #idealian51 :/ But it seems like it could be a pocket version of Hyperon?

I don't know it says The Forgotten Kingdom Dhampir, he could be the regular size ID, but if he is the 51cm type, that would be interesting to see as well.

 

He certainly looks interesting. Let's see if he is interesting enough to be worth ordering despite Soom's recent issues.

 

Actually that would be a good thing if he's a 51cm. Then my wallet would jump for joy since I'm only interested in the bigger Idealian boys. So if that is the case I won't cry about it.

I'm new to this thread but I just cant help myself to leave a comment..I love Soom Idealian so much! Most of the boys and girls in this thread so lovely and awesome..
Saw the new Hyperon on Soom Idealian website..I was sooooo happy and excited until I saw on the instagram that he gonna be 51 cm..
Not like I hate 51 cm or anything but I'm waiting for Hyperon 72 cm re-release for long time patiently but he not 72 cm..I wish there can be options where you can choose 51 cm or 72 cm but I doubt so
I'm not very familiar with Soom entirely yet..May I ask,do you guys think that they will release Hyperon 72 cm new version in future?Because I'm a bit scare that they will not re-release him anymore since they already released many versions/many times of him

 

They will re-release ID72 Hyperon for sure, I'm sure he always brings them lots of money and lots of people love him and want to get one

I met Julia, director of Super Gem and Idealian lines at SOOM, at Dollism Plus USA and Doll North, her favourite doll is Hyperon, I am sure we will be seeing him again

Not a lot of love for the 51 size xD But I can understand. Half the appeal is that they're huge. Easier on my wallet though, this might be my first Hyperon. Hopefully the info comes sooner than later.

 

I'd expect the rest of the photos tomorrow, since after that Soom will be on holiday until Wednesday... I don't think they'd put up the sales page and then leave us biting our nails in excitement for so long XD

 

Have you followed Gentle Shin on Instagram? She said that scar eye Hyperon 72cm is going to be rereleased She asked ppl to tell their favorite skintone for the release and most comments were "tawny". I can search the post for you if you want She's so kind ~

At first I'm so excited that she gonna re-release Hyperon (Really thought it gonna be 72 cm) but then after I saw the release of Hyperon 51 cm,I thought this is what she mentioned for re-releasing Hyperon.Is it not?
If it separated between those two posts between "the News of re-release Hyperon (the scar/72 cm) and the New release of Hyperon 51 cm",that gonna be awesome!

And re-release means the same doll but maybe some additions or changes and the 51 doesn't have a scar like this 72 release (i'd expect that because it shows in previous photo I linked) so I think she'd mention it. That's indeed strange but it's not re-release anymore if the size of the doll is different who knows XD i'd expect mercenary Hype in her photo, because she's talking about past release not a new 51 doll.. o.o where's the scar too?

 

Yeah, I'm constantly checking her instagram, although I don't have my own so no comments from me, sigh. I hope she had in mind re-release ID72 with scar when she posted that photo of him, not the smaller version of Hyperon. There was indeed lots of tawny comments, but Mercenary was available in tawny so maybe they will go for bronze/brown tan (and then there will be tons of comments begging to put also tawny, lol) I'm hoping for bronze, not tawny, but we will see...

Ah....Amor is up and he IS a vampire. However...that tongue concept has already been done. But we get two heads....i wonder what the other one looks like.

 

Do we really get two heads? o_o (sorry, I'm not familiar with how Soom works). If so, I wonder if they'll show what the other one looks like..

 

The new guy isn't bad. Looks like the sculptor liked the tongue idea that IOS used. Then IH has lots of licky vampires too. While it is good for some photoshoots, I don't know anyone who actually wants their doll's tongue to be out like that all the time. Not everyone likes having multiple heads. Either way, it's always interesting to see what people do with them.

edit; I just looked at his full page. Looks like one head with three different tongues (which makes it exactly like IOS).

 

Amor is handsome! and I like the open mouth with fangs and tongue, but not all the time so if he will come with a extra head with a close mouth maybe I'll intestered
