    1. So, I ordered a male Soom Gena last night at about 2am eastern - I'm splitting him/her with Skywhys 'cause I really want Gena on a more mature body. Got my confirmation from Soom - Hannah's really nice! Settled down for their 10-day wait.

      but holy cow, I'm SO impressed! It seems like after my first 8 week wait with DoD, my wait is destined to be shorter with each doll. *laughs* Kika was 4.5 weeks, Shin was 21 days, the Shiwoo body shipped after 7... and now, less than a day! Such glee. ^__^

      I'm very, very impressed with the service from Soom. They've also been very good and are letting me get Gena as a boy, so I could spit her/him up more easily.

      SOOM is most definitely the bomb! I ordered Dillui with faceup and body blushing 5 days ago, and I received word from Hanna that she's already on her way to me as of last night! This will be my third time ordering from SOOM, and their customer service, with lickety split shipping, has to be, at least in my experience, some of the best I've ever known.

    6. I can't say enough good things about Hanna/Soom--& also Rainbow, their makeup artist. The fastest shipping ever, the friendliest people & what a talented customizer. Don't be afraid (hehe) to go back & spend your "points"-i was shocked when i went to place a clothes order & i had accumulated all these points from my doll orders, it took a good chunk off the clothes order price!

That's EXACTLY how I felt about Dollmore...I'd waited and waited for a DoD last year, and had originally been going to buy a Luts girl this year...but after literally THREE MONTHS of waiting for them to restock (whenever they did, I just happened to be away for the day that the dolls were in stock--argh!--and Luts seldom keeps things in stock for more than 24 hours on the English site), I saw my girl and decided to order from Dollmore. I placed my order at 11pm on Sunday night and had my girl by noon on Friday, even with a special makeup request!

      Here's to shops with in-stock items and great customer service! :lol:
       
    8. Seconded! (Or fourthed or fifthed by now ; ) Soom is fantastic to deal with, and super-fast. Hanna is awesome with email communication, and Rainbow is an A1 artist.

      I'm so pleased to see more and more Soom dolls appearing on the forums lately. I'll be looking forward to seeing your Gena and your friend's boy!

      Edit: Achi, it sucks to lose auctions, I've lost a couple recently that had me totally bummed, too =/ Don't be afraid to order straight from Soom, though, Hanna's english is great and she's happy to answer any questions you have before and after ordering =)

    13. You shouldn't have to wait long at all, Zoi! My Dillui arrived on Thursday--only three short days after Soom sent her out! I was at work as usual and missed the Thursday delivery, but I picked her up yesterday, and I have to say that I'm absolutely thrilled with Soom's artistry!

I have ordered from them three additional times after receiving my Sabik and they have always shipped the items out quickly. Soom's communication is excellent, their customer service is top notch and their quality is amazing!! I highly, highly recommend them! :)

      * How long did it take to ship? I received my girl in about 2 weeks from the time of ordering.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? I thought that my teeny gem was adorable, but she did not look exactly like the photos.       So, I just had the most wonderful customer service EVER!!
      During that huge sale that SOOM had I had ordered some stuff for my friend and myself. Everything arrived but they had accidently switched the only thing my friend ordered: a pair of eyes (they accidently sent the wrong color).

      Normally I wouldn't have said anything, mistakes happen during big events like that and everything else that I ordered was fine...But I felt bad that my friend wasn't going to get the only thing she had wanted, so I left a message on their bulletin board. SOOM wrote back requesting a picture, and after I posted one they sent out a FREE replacement pair of eyes immediately~!! :fangirl:

      The eyes arrived today and not ONLY did they send the replacements, but a bunch of free gifts too!!

      So, I just had to post that SOOM is my aboslute FAVORITE company. EVER!
      I loved them before this, but now I competely and utterly adore them. :love :aheartbea

They said no, and that I could keep the second set of outfits as a gift! That is so nice of them, their customer service is really great! :D
       
    29. I love soom, too. When I had my Sabik on Layway, I Emailed them and told them that I'd be paying off the layway on a certian day, in case they'd have to pack him up. I also asked if they could change the address they were going to ship it to, since I'd moved. They did, and he got home four days after I put in my final payment.

      Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Maybe. The resin was better than I ever expected, but it has orange veins in it and pink lines that cannot be removed easily. (Meaning, I'll have to sand, which I'm nervous about). I also got the wrong face up by mistake.

      Did the item look like the sales pictures? No. Far from it. They accidentally gave me the face up of another doll. That one looked like it's sales pictures, but not like the pictures that I sent ^^;

      Were you satisfied with the product?Sort of. The resin and sculpt are wonderful, but the wrong face up and resin flaws created much so much drama that I have begun to stop liking the doll.

      If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem? Soom asked me to send back the head and the arm for a fix up and a replacement. I have to sand off the red seams myself somehow...

      Very easy. I paid with debit card on the site, and there was never any problem with the payment. They did not withdraw the money before they shipped the order.

      The order arrived at 2007-10-09

      Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Yes. Their eyes are beautiful and I was very impressed with the garter set I ordered. The wig ordered did not fit SD Luts dolls, but that might just be our bad research :sweat

      Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      Yes, and in some cases, like with the garter set, better.

      Were you satisfied with the product?
      Very, except for the fact that the garter set I ordered was for MSD, and the one I got was SD sized.

      If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?
      They apologized and politely asked for proof that they had indeed shipped the wrong set (if I could please take a picture of the set I had. I did so next to my MSD doll, which showed the size problem pretty clearly.)

      When they had that picture they let me keep the SD garter set and sent me the MSD one with EMS. Accidents do happen, and I am more than satisfied with how they solved this issue. :)

    37. So far I have been impressed with Soom. There was a mix-up when I ordered my Namu Voice of Angels Twins. I ordered them without the wings, but they showed up anyway. I left a message advising I will be willing to pay for the wings --after all, $62 dollars is a bit much to just give away. They thanked me and gave me half the amount in points. I did pay for the wings and I think they are worth the money.

      Soom is an excellent company with wonderful customer service.

      How long did it take to ship? They shipped the next shipping period for the kit deliveries, which was less than a week from when I ordered. The first time I think it took just a few days.

      The faceup I got for the kit I didn't even order! They sent an email telling me that they were sending me one with a default faceup, but I could consider it a free gift. I was so thankful! They are a great company.
       
    39. I ordered the Limited Spinel in Oct on a layaway. Soom dispatched him a month early, ie: before I had finished paying for him! Thanks to a very sweet hubby and his credit card I was able to pay for him before he arrived (but only just!). He arrived today Wednesday 19 Dec and was sent on the 15th Dec. Thats fast!!!
      He is beautiful, the site pictures don't do him justice. His resin is a lovely warm creamy colour and silky smooth to the touch. He has got slight seaming, but thats easily fixed if I can pluck up the courage to take sandpaper to him:lol:

      All in all a painless process, but the early dispatch did surprised me.
      I'm just happy he's home.

      Was the quality appropiate for the price, in your opinion? Yes, the only problem was that I ordered seam removal and her seams weren't completely removed.

      Did the item look like the sales pictures? Yes, maybe even more beautiful than in the pictures.

      Were you satisfied with the product: Yes, I love her!:D I think Soom did a lovely face-up on her. She also came with a really nice wig and beautiful blue eyes. I would definitely buy from Soom again.

      Excellent! I asked a few questions on their Q&A board, and received a reply within the next day or so. I also requested default faceup, but with a slightly different color for the eyebrows, as well as the color Luciferin for the eyes, since they were going to send random SOOM eyes anyway. Both requests were honored exactly! I also emailed them later after I placed the order and asked them to ship to a different place, since I'd gone home for the holidays, and they did this as well without any problems.

      * How easy was it to pay?
      Quite easy.

      * How long did it take to ship?
      Shipped 12/11/07, arrived a few days later (I believe on the 15th, if I remember correctly).

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?
      Definitely!

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?
      The eyebrows were shaped differently than I thought they would, but overall she's even more gorgeous in person than in sale photos.

      * Were you satisfied with the product?

      * How was the communication? Excellent. The next day i got a message telling me that they'd made a mistake and that the wig that I ordered wasn't in stock. However, they said I could choose a different wig or they would refund the money to my paypal account. I chose to choose a slightly different wig and they replied very quickly to say that this wig was in stock and that they'd ship as soon as possible.

      * How long did it take to ship? three days. I was very pleasantly surprised with the quick shipping!
      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Yes it certainly was, my items are fantastic quality.

      * How easy was it to pay?: Easy. Did layaway in 5 payments through Paypal.

      * How long did it take to ship?: 7-8 days preparation time, and around 2 days to ship.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?: Yes - Spinel is gorgeous in person. The only thing I'm a bit iffy on - and this may just be my lack of experience, high expectations, or perfectionism coming into play - is that there are little rough patches in the resin on his legs.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?: Yep - but much more handsome in real life ;)

      * Were you satisfied with the product?: Generally yes. Only thing that I'm not too happy with (apart from the resin thing which isn't too much of a problem) is that they got his eyebrows wrong. I wanted them flat, not slanted - and they did them slanted. So now his expression is wrong. Oh well, it gives him a wider range of expressions, I guess. We'll see.

      * If you weren't satisfied, how did the company solve your problem?: Haven't told them about it yet - not sure where to do that, and can't be bothered....
       
    47. REALLY LATE POST! XP I ordered my darling back months ago.

      * What did you order?: Namu VOA Set Normal Skin with faceup and sanding

      * When did you order?: Sometime at the start of August

      * How was the communication?: Excellent! They answered all my questions ASAP, were very friendly, and made sure I knew when my boy would ship. They also ran out of the tattoos he was supposed to come with, so they emailed me and let me choose whatever ones I wanted instead. :) (Which for me was awesome since I loved the new ones MUCH better!)

      * How easy was it to pay?: Easy as pie. Paypal!

      * How long did it take to ship?: Around little less than two weeks, counting weekends.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion?: YES! He is amazingly beautiful! His seams were sanded smooth, and he's able to stand like a rock. I really love how slender he is, and how long his legs are. The resin is fantastic, and his faceup is just beautiful!

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures?: Yes, but millions of times more gorgeous!

      * Were you satisfied with the product?: 100% yes! I stared at him for a solid minute from sheer awe when I popped off the box and there he was staring at me. I admit I was surprised at how slender his hands are, but now they've become one of my favorite features. :)

      I told Soom that I recieved two thick magnets and that the headcap won't close. Soom told me that they sent me two different magnets and to check the group order.
      They left it at that.
      They did not offer to solve my problem, see pictures of proof, or even offer me advice on how to fix the problem. They just assumed that they were right without seeing what I actually got--after I told them that I didn't get two different magnets.

      After my past two experiences, I will never buy from Soom again.

      * How long did it take to ship? 1) Shipped on Feb 11th and arrived a day after. Took longer because they were closed for Lunar New Year for most of the week before.


      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? They sent me a free magic eraser block! The shoes are excellent, but it's Luts quality and pricing. The Stripe Ribbon set shirt is gorgeous, as is the skirt. The problem with the skirt though is that it strangely won't fit the Gem body unless I unstring her and put it on her waist while putting her lower body back together. I asked Kelly about it and she said they couldn't make it work either so she gave me a full refund for the outfit! They also pulled the outfit from their online store so you can't get it anymore.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? They're all stunning quality, even the skirt that I might modify to fit better.

      * How was the communication? I didn't ask any questions so I didn't really have any communication with them.

      * How easy was it to pay? Soom's credit card service was very easy to use.

      * How long did it take to ship? I placed the order on the 20th, got my confirmation later that day, got a shipping notice on the 24th, and he was in my hot little hands by the 28th. Soom is super fast and EMS rocks my world.

      * Was the quality appropriate for the price, in your opinion? Absolutely, the sculpt is beyond gorgeous with little details you may not catch in the photos on the site (he's got teeth!), the resin is lovely without any visible flaws, and his joints work beautifully- I like the locking mechanism in the knee joints. Since I didn't order him to be blushed, he does still have seams, but they're very small/non-jagged and look simple to remove.

      * Did the item look like the sales pictures? Better, honestly. I don't like the bearded faceup on the site and the photos don't do his incredible body justice.

      * Were you satisfied with the product? Very, very much so. I would order from Soom again in a heartbeat! :)

      They didn't fully solve it. My Kyrie had three problems:
      1. they didn't pierce her ears
      2. they didn't do the manicure
      3. they sent the wrong wig

      I contacted their customer service and they apologized for 1. and 2. and credited points to my account.
      Regarding the wig, I asked them to send me the correct one and offered to send the other one back. They told me I had the right one, it looked different because it was styled with gel on the photo on their site. This is pure BS. The wig I got is not the right one, it is completely different and cannot be styled to look like the one on the site. Besides I've seen other KNM and they all had the right wig sent out.
      If they had told me the truth (that the wig is sold out and therefore they can't replace it) it wouldn't be so bad.

      I don't mind about 1. and 2. so much but 3. is a big deal. The point of a limited doll is that you get everything: the limited outfit, face-up and wig.
      All in all, I'm very happy with my Kyrie. She's even more beautiful than I expected and they did a perfect job with the sanding. However I don't like being lied to so I don't know if I'll ever buy anything from Soom again.

    60. On the note of SOOM transactions, all I can say is they were absolutely wonderful!
      I ordered my SOOM Laon, the first doll I ever bought after looking into them for three years and finally falling in love, I was terrified because what if something went wrong? I'm a student, I am so short of money, and it was a massive deal for me as if anything went wrong it would be an even bigger deal for me to send him back to have any work done, but as I sit here typing this, having just scampered across the room to go and get my beautiful Daye, I have to say that everything was totally worth every penny I paid for him.

      He turned up within three weeks, he was packed wonderfully in masses of foam cut to fit around him, with a free two free sets of SOOM eyes, one set pink one set blue, and a free wig, a lovely and apparently out of stock red and black combo, (that weirdly matched my own hair perfectly)

      His face up was lovely, He's not been body brushed, but I think I like him better that way, and it was worth the $50 I paid for it to be done.

      I input the wrong postcode when I first sent the order, but they replied within hours of my query and rectified my mistake which was brilliant.

      He came with no damages, beautiful resin, the seems were not sanded but that's no problem at all, and it was a lovely very simple transaction.

      I just wanted to put in my two cents about how awesome SOOM were. <3:aheartbea
