Resin Comparison Soom Cream White(/Peony White?) and Mia White

Oct 12, 2024

    1. Hi! I’m interested to know if Mia White and Soom Cream White match at all. And also possibly if Soom Peony White matches Mia White although I think it’s probably too light/white. Any comparison photos appreciated.
      Thank you!

    2. Hi, in regards to Soom Peony and Mia white, they are a little different. Peony is a very light pink while Mia white is a darker, more peachy colour. Coral Reef has a good example of Peony, Mia white and Luts white together-

There also some examples of Peony white and Mia white in this thread here. I don't think I have any Soom cream at the moment but would assume it's similar to the light yellow toned whites in the photos. I do have Peony and Mia white so can do a comparison with something like Dream Valley white which is slightly yellow toned (if we get some sun today!).

    3. It depends on how strong of a colour difference you can tolerate. Personally, I think Peony White matches Mia white more than Cream White. Cream White yellows very quickly, and it becomes this green-ish yellow colour, so it'll probably not work in a few years.
Mia White looks more like a normal skin compared to Peony White, which is almost paper-white, but both are pink-ish, so it's more likely they will yellow to be more of a similar tone. It'll look better if the head is Peony White (it'll darken somewhat after getting a face-up) and the body is Mia white (it'll be covered by clothes most of the time anyway). But I'm also someone who thinks a body in Peony White looks unnaturally white, so you can ignore my last comment, if that's what you're going for!

    4. That would be great thank you! -Also omg why do these: M. Kaniboom mia white 2023 and N. PD Quing mia white 2022 look orange? I have a switch rosy white that’s supposed to match mia white from what I’ve been told but it’s nowhere near as orange. It’s like a slightly peachy white.

    5. The sun made a quick appearance so I was able to get photo-

Top is Soom Peony, bottom left is Mia white, bottom right is Dream Valley white.

I agree with Niel, it would be easier to blush Peony to go with Mia white (if it's a Peony head with a Mia white body). I'm not sure if Cream would go as pink toned resin loses some of it's pinkness over time and yellow toned whites gain a more yellow hue. There's a chance you'll get a bigger drift in colour putting pink and a yellow toned pieces together. ;)

    6. Thank you so much! Can I bother you one last time if you have a Luts real skin white by any chance?
I scrolled through that comparison thread (super useful!) and in some pics it looks like luts rsw might match mia white better since it’s not as pink? I’m going crazy trying to color match as always

    7. Yes, i've just added a new photo to post number 5 in the comparison thread which has Peony, Mia white & Luts white in it. Luts white is in-between Peony and Mia white so could potential work with those colours :)

    8. Oh great, I see! Thank you so SO much! :abow:

    9. I don't know how helpful this photo will be because it's been raining for the past week at least, and the lighting is not good, but here is a photo of a Switch Rosy White headcap from 2021 (on the left) and Mia White from 2024 (on the right):

Imho, if Switch did yellow in the past 3 years, the change is very very mild and hardly noticable at all. I think it is naturally a bit more beige than Mia White, but the tone is still pretty close. It's an almost perfect match :3nodding:
