I was really hoping they would do the mix and match for girls too not just the boys. I hope they do a mix and match for a Supergem girl in the future..imagine a purple or golden beryl :-D I'm so excited for you guys who will be getting the guys, especially bronze skin. Has soom ever done bronze skin before???? I'm curious to see what it looks like. It would be nice if it was like vesuvias "sparkle" resin but in bronze. That would be so cool in the light/outside

Oh god! My Heliot in NS might be real now! I'm not nearly as worked up over these fantasy parts as I am over having a Heliot in NS. Does anyone know yet if we can get both the head and fantasy parts for Heliot in NS? I mean, logically, we should be able to, right?

 

Yup! The NS Heliot they released earlier was the human version. You'd be getting the unicorn only version. Now if you tried to order Heliot in WS they'd cancel the order.

I, too, hope that they will do the same for the girls one day. I really would like the Breccia body,or maybe the Cuprit one with transparent hooves to match those of my Shale (Shale: Mommy? fem!Supergem: What?) - and Breccia head. Or (better: "and") Cuprit head. In Bronze please. The dolls they did in Bronze before: Pel, Coquina, Nor/Dune and Shoshon. Are there any I forgot?

You're right, dollblue - the bronze is a lovely brownish-reddish color, but it doesn't sparkle. As far as I know, the only resin they produced with a sparkle to it was Vesuvia's lavender and the cat teenie's black (sorry, the name escapes me at the mo).

I think i am gonna stick to normal skin, if it was the darker shade like Chalco's tan-brown I'd be sooooo screwed. But love regardless!

 

I wonder... could you do a Chrom head on a Sard Body in White Skin? Then do a Sard head on a Chrom body in White Skin? (Because then you now just switch the heads and you have a white skin sard). Or will you not be able to do any Sard parts in white/original color?

Shoot white isn't a color, but you get the point / question I'm asking.

 

Available Heliot in any color at ALL is a Very Good Thing.

vampireanneke, doesn't it say they're only offering Normal and Bronze skin? but yeah, I think I get what you're saying, there might be ways to game this system if you're really determined.

 

Vampireanneke, if the same person orders those options, I think Soom could cancel the order because it's obvious what you're trying to achieve. It would suck for someone who really does want an NS Chrom head + Sard body and NS Sard head + Chrom body though

 

I think I just exploded. It doesn't help that it's only a three hour ride down there for me. XD

I wonder what Sard would look like in bronze, or if it would be okay to get the NS since he was only in the cream white... ::ponders::

 

I hope in a few months (or next year. I gotta buy a lot of things this year ) they will offer "mix and match" of their old MD GIRLS dolls I'd kill for a NS Amber with the long ears

but for now, let's decide what boy I want! I've been wanting euclase since forever because of his talons, and Sard's hooves are my all time favourites! but I can only afford one doll. so gotta decide which body then which head I put on it :3

I looked at his MD page and it says he was in the cream white with no other option. He was offered in the NS as a human version in the special order section.

 

I sooooooooooooo wish they offered grey though!! I almost find it weird they are offering bronze and not grey. everytime they sold jointed hands and headless body, grey was always a option and bronze was never :/

 

In late 2009 they sold a very limited run of 8 NS Sards with the fantasy parts - I'm lucky enough to have one (I got shut out on the website when I tried to order him - had him in my shopping cart but by the time I checked out he was not available) so I had to pay quite a lot for him on the secondary market but since Sard was my Grail doll and I desparately wanted one and needless to say I didn't realize Soom would re-release their monthly dolls...

Well when I get home tonight I'll be posting a few pictures of bronze and normal compared to white and brown tan, I can do snow blue and grey as well I'd anyone is curious how either of the NY offerings would look next to them. lol I may not be able to go, but I can certainly enable you guys! lol

I'm very excited to see Smokey the Teenie Centaur! Though, I'm bummed that only visitors to the con get to order the super-special resin color. So, hopefully, the online-order version will be awesome, because I need a teenie-taur.

 

Oh dear, seeing sistinas' NS Sard is throwing me in circles! He looks so gorgeous with NS...but then there's that delicious bronze color! I can't decide what resin color I want him in. (Planning to get Sard head + Chalco body) Good thing there's over a month left... *fidgets*

Aww! Soom loves it when you resist, Surr.... They didn't *mean* for there to be oodles of dolly perfection oozing out of the same Con you'd already been asked to. Really. Of course... even I was seeing Bottom after you paired Euclase (particularly with the long wing ears) with a Heliot body. I mean... could there ever be better? I doubt it. Hee!

when I saw this I originally was excited because I could FINALLY get an Euclase body! his talons were my grail fantasy part, I would have gotten them in rotten green if it was the only option! xD but I now I just realized that i need a tan Chrom .__. when he was released it was my dream to have him in tan, and now he's available! GNUH (it hit me a few minutes ago, on the way back home)

i certainly hope the bronze they are offering now would be like the one on Pyrol it's lovely!! and slightly paler then chalco from what I see, therefore easier to paint ^^

I'm still stuck on the Bronze Sard or Bronze Chrom conundrum.

I was also one of the lucky few to get one of the 8 normal skin Sard so...do I want another Sard? I do but at the same time....tan Chrom!!

The first year I finally decide that I can go and ZOMG! I'll be there on Saturday.

Bronze Io on a Chrom Body! Bronze Heliot for a dark unicorn (or even NS, since he'd be a unicorn)! OMG, any photoshoppers out there interested in figuring out a bronze Sard? *drools* A darker Epidos would be neat (at least the unicorn body aspect that is :P). I can't wait to see Smokey! It would be neat if the special color was a blue-purple grayish color with sparkle to it!

Phonolus has me curious, but I'm almost scared to think what Borol&Marl are. I hope they aren't young Chroms! *cries* Oh, I wish Soom gave more notice! I actually get to go to NYComicCon this year too! Oh, I feel compelled to bring one of my Sooms with me now! I really hadn't planned on spending much money at the Con at all, just going to cosplay and go with my fraternity sister who has wanted to go the last 2 years, but not alone. Now who to bring with me...

Gaaahh! I really thought I was safe from Soom's big dolls, and was dead-set on ignoring their releases. But this . . . ? Super hard to ignore! xD I am soooo tempted to get a Chalco or Euclase on a Chrom body in bronze, he'd be a perfect adult hellhound to go with my Hati. Or maybe someone on a Sard body . . . oh dear.

In all seriousness, this idea of theirs is so clever -- the custom parts mixing event alone! -- I think they're going to make cash enough to buy a private island, a white persian cat, and be able to retire while saying, "We've got you now, Mr. Bond."

 

Ok. It's almost midnight here and I am very, very sleep-deprived from insomnia so, sorry if this is just some dumb questions. Can someone please tell me if I am reading this correctly and I may be able to get a Sard next month in either NS or TS, providing this isn't lottery based? Or is this lottery based? Because it feels too good to be true and I am getting that tingly feeling I only want if this is possible. Because Sard is one of my dream dolls and I felt I could never get him in any skin color. O.o

 

No lottery as far as we know, and yes, you'll have a chance to get him. ;D

 

Does anyone know if Io will be released with the scar head, or just the normal one? I am drooling over the thought of him in bronze.

Or by "no human head" does that mean only the scar will be available. I don't want to spam their Q&A if this has already been asked.

in IO's case we are assuming it means the scar head will be the one available,

 

I feel bad. Sard is one of my dream dolls and I have no clue the difference between his fantasy head and normal head (if he had one). I tried to search but no one really specified. Are the differences obvious?

 

sard only had one head;came with pointy ears and the horns were separate held on by magnets.
