I would love an Alk on a pony body! That's actually what I'm kind of hoping will happen! I'm splitting Smokey so I can get the body; now if I can just get my hands on a WS Alk head!! Or an upper-half of a TG NS body and the NS Alk head. >_< Too much money leaving my wallet!!

 

Hahah I've already got an Alk with Hooves in this house, so unless it was a unique skin.. like Grey maybe I think I'd end up keeping to just him... *3* It would be an arse n a half with blushing but Imagine a black taur body and a Grey Teenie top? xD!

 

I have a Alk/Yrie head with Minette eyes on a body made up of the Glot/Glati bust w/ magnetic wings and the Beyla hooves, tail and cute hands... she is my little pegasus and ultimate Soom franken-dolly hybrid

what's the longest layaway you can do on soom?

 

I think I remember that if you order above a certain amount ($1000??) You can extend the layaway beyond 4 installments. Or something like that.

 

You can go up to 5 payments if the order is over $1000. I believe the downpayment is still 1/4 of the total, however -- and the remaining 3/4 are split up into the 4 additional payments.

I believe the longest lay-away without being charged lay-away fees is 1/4 down immediately upon order and the remainder spread out over 90 days starting on the month after the down payment is made. So a purchase made this month would have the last payment due in January.

 

I did a 5 month with my Obsidius and after I placed my order, I left a Q&A and asked for 5 month layaway. Victoria arranged the payments into 5 parts and then I payed the deposit. I wasn't charged extra. They were super nice about it!

 

Really, seriously, there are no fees. It's Iplehouse that charges fees for additional lengths of time. Sorry if I seem emphatic, but this is the third time in the thread I've had to post about this, and that's just in this thread alone.

The fees are noted in Soom's documentation on the websit. They were never actually put into place because that policy upset so many people.

They require 1/4 payment up front for a 4 payment, 90 day layaway; the total must be over $500 (shipping included) to qualify for a 4 payment, 90 day layaway.

This type is not coded in their order page. After placing your order, you must go to the Q&A section of the web site to ask Victoria to structure the remaining payments properly. Even though the payments are split into 5 parts in this case, 1/4 of the total is still due up front.

 

I think it's that so many of us Soom fans are also Iple fans -- it's super easy to get them confused.

I posted on the waiting room that we probably couldn't afford my 3 dolls, but my mom just told me she'd do anything to give me the money she owes me in time to order them ^_^ love my mom.

 

Ordered Phonolus and Alex's outfit and boots! I'm still trying to figure out who else I can afford to get though.

I know how you feel! I'm dying because I desperately want to order Alex (in addition to my NS Sard and Bronze Heliot), but I can't make ends meet without selling some things. At least I have... one week to scrounge together enough for her...

The most maddening thing is that I really want to join the Alex WR just to chat about her (she's so pretty!), but I can't really do that unless I actually manage to order her.

Soom are truly the most devious of seductive tempters. And to think I went almost an entire year without giving them any of my money (oops, no wait, I broke that promise with Migma. Nonetheless! The point sort-of-stands!)

 

I'm scrounging to make the first payment on the other pokesoom order for a Bronze Io/Chrom and a NS Chalco/Heliot. I have enough for Io/Chrom, but trying to get the rest for the other one. I suppose I could have them cancel the 2nd doll from the order if I'm still short by Friday... Makes me sort of wish I hadn't ordered Migma now, since I'm having doubts about bonding with her .

 

Autumnwolf: I wouldn't worry so much about Migma if you don't bond... I personally know at least 3 people who are scanning the MP daily hoping for a Migma since they missed her sale period. And they are in NY! Even better for you, LOL.

 

That's reassuring Nightmareally! Guess I'll see what happens when she gets here! I've never had this problem before! Edit: She just shipped (10/27), so I'll get to meet her soon!

Getting back on topic though, I hope I can get all my boys! I have an Epidos/Heliot now, but his hooves are WS, which could be better utilized elsewhere (and I've been wanting NS Chalco for a while... ignoring the fact that I have all the fantasy bits for tan chalco in a box, but no head or body ).

sharnofshade - you can still join the WR to talk about her! Hopefully you can get her though. She is absolutely divine (if I didn't have other priorities on my wishlist at the moment, I'd love to get her, but I need to stick to characters I already have in my head, not new ones , and I have another sculpt that suits my Mariska better in mind...). *needs to post my pics from the Soom booth this weekend when my time frees up*

I think I might wait until her ordering period ends, though - by then I'll know for sure whether I've managed to snag her, or not. If I'm lucky, I'll be able to sell a couple of things and get her on layaway. If I join the WR now, it'll probably only make the nail-biting tension of waiting-to-see-if-my-stuff-will-sell worse

 

You know, I've had my Amber for a couple of years now and she STILL doesn't have a wig that pleases me. But she's so amazing that I have to keep on trying.

Yes! You should come hang out in Alex's WR! That way if you dont get her, the rest of us can steal your ideas for styling her . I have the opposite problem with one of my girls..I love my Vesuvia in every wig!

 

Did any of you experience problems paying via their credit card system? D: It wouldn't process my payment, and so my order just kinda stalled there. My order is confirmed in the order status section, but listed as unpaid, and no payment seems to have gone through from my end. I'm still waiting on Soom to tell me how to proceed (I'd rather pay by CC than PP), but if any of you have a solution, I'd love to hear it! ;A; I don't want my dear Sard to get cancelled just because of a payment error...

 

I've only done Paypal, so I can't say I'm much help to you kiradyn_rhiode. Did you post on Soom's Q&A board?

I think I'm just going to pay for enough to cover my Bronze Io/Chrom's first payment and ask Soom to remove the Chalco/Heliot from the order at this point (would have been so much easier if I had just put them in separate orders). I've run into nothing but problems all week getting painting done for my commission (no sleep one night from faulty fire alarm - now fixed-, so too tired to paint the next day, and one night of vertigo because I had water in my ears *blech*, having trouble finding my camera cord now that the commission is pretty much done), so I think it's the universe telling me to be patient about getting my Chalco, and I'm sure if I really need NS hooves, I'll be able to find them at a later date. I know NS Chalco's do come up in the MP, so I'll just be patient and wait a little bit longer. That's still 3 of these big boys coming home, and that's a lot of Soom!

I paid by PayPal ( on layaway) and Soom has not credited my payment to my order and it has been over a week. My order is just sitting there too. Soom will not answer my emails.

It's been decided, Alex and Smokey will be coming home too! Just ordered them. Since I missed out on the Full Choice dolls, I'll have the money to take a chance on these two. I most likely wont keep Smokey's head or donkey ears, but I figured it was a little too late to try to start a split. I'm going to try to find her a nice unicorn head instead since that tail screams unicorn to me.

 

Ah, I'm still having problems with paying for my order too!! D: (Although Soom has at least been replying my queries.) And in my order status, it says that my order has been cancelled!! From non-payment, likely, though certainly not for a lack of trying on my part. ;A; I've contacted them yet again to see if they can re-make an order for me to pay.

OMG Soom, don't you want my money? I just want my Sard, GDI!! (Brb, sobbing in a corner.)

 

kiradyn_rhiode - Make a manual payment through paypal and message Victoria on their Q&A. It wouldn't be a bad idea to put 'urgent' in the title. After working with them, apparently I am getting my other two dolls, pending a slightly delayed payment on Friday. So I guess I'll be getting my NS Chalco/Heliot as well. They would rather an ordered doll be paid for than cancelled!
