Soom Attending New York Comic Con in October!

Um, just one quick question, does anybody know if the blushing of the lion mask is with the face up or body blushing? I would ask soom, but I can't wait to order him anymore xD

 

Thank you, Ostrich and Rey Arkady9, that was exactly what I needed to know. Do the SOOM bodies pop up too, or is that more rare? And I would imagine that they are even more expensive than the heads...
Is Heliot's horn removable? Because I saw some pictures of Epidos without his horn, and it got me curious...

 

Heliot's horn is removable. Soom bodies to pop up, though price depends on what exactly the body is (ie fantasy parts or no). Think I've seen the kast human only bodies up at like...$400-$450? If memeory serves?

 

yes, though he will have that hole to keep it in place. It can be sanded off, I'm sure.

The Coquina bit is for reference since SOOM said their bronze they're casting these boys in is the same they used for Coquina ^.^

If I get the Euclase body in NS, in order to have his claws/talons/feet be colored, will I have to get the body blushing? Because I'd rather not shell out the extra hundred dollars if I don't have to...

 

Yes if you want the painting on them, it's the body blushing you have to order-otherwise you'll just get blank parts, but SOOM Said that they will change the colors of the blushing to suit whatever skintone so who knows how they're going to paint the NS Euclase's when he was originally just gray O.o

I just ordered Io/Chrom in NS, so now I can't get any more dolls until at least next year xD I think I should start saving for the possible event next year, because if they do the girls then, I won't be able to just get one. Really hope I won't be soomed to much until that time, but I guess it's a false hope, since soom is so awesome 3

Ohh, this week is going to take forever! I'm waiting until the 23rd to place my order so I can use my paycheck from the 28th to pay off my order in full (not sure if this will get them to me faster or not lol). I did a mock order to see how much it was going to be and... when I added a pair of eyes, it added about $5 to the shipping. Lol I mean, really? Come on now...

 

I've been stalking the Soom selection event since yesterday and I still can't decide between a Bronze Sard/Chalco or a Bronze Heliot. Its so hard when we don't really know what they will look like

 

I think I am going to wait until friday to place my order, even though on the notice it says we have the usual 7 days to make the first payment... I am a little worried they will recieve such a huge influx of orders they will close orders early... T^T

Me and my friend have already planned out our Teenie Gem and Female Super Gem combos if they ever decide to do this again

Heads: Amber, Amphibel, Galena, topaz
Bodies: coquina, vesuvia, breccia

And hopefully grey skin option!

Oooooh and Breccia head and Amber body too, please! ^^ And Cuprit everything! With normal skin option. Hmmm, now that I think of it... Beryl body too. It is similar to Coquina but doesn't have the long-fingered hands, from what I remember. Aaaaand I guess many, many people would love to see the Vesuvia and Beryl heads too. I think the girl event would be at least as successful as the boys event, if not even more so...

As for Teenie mix-and-match... I am actually not much into this size, but I would be very tempted by a Grit/Syen, no matter in which skin colour. *dreams*

yeah I'm sure Vesuvia and Beryl would be VERY demanded so I think it's kind of a must for SOOM to add them. but personnaly I don't like how grumpy they look (I prefer sweet looking girls for my collection ^^) so that's why I didn't list them ^^;;;

 

Amber and Migma are my favorite SOOM girls^^

 

They'd need to have that lovely Cass mermaid body in there, too, for a girls version of this.

I am just so glad they did this.

 

I'd be tempted for either a Breccia head or an Amber head on a Cuprit body, so my SO NS Cuprit can be my grail doll and Breccia or Amber can have my SO Cuprit's human body if they did this event for girls
then try to get Cuprit's horns elsewhere xD

 

If they have an event for the girls I would like:
Topaz, Amber, Breccia and Cuprit

If they have an event for the tinies I would like:
Bygg/Beyla, Ai/Afi, Minette/Pyrol Unicenta and Alk/Yrie.

I already have one WS Yrie and one NS Alk and the way, but I just love the faces I would have a little Alk/Yrie army if possible :3
And a looot of brown tan please I like the dark skin My Keny and Afi are just so wonderful ^^

 

Star Valo picked my choice too--Breccia head, Cuprit body. I love the Cuprit hooves and I wish they would cast them in more colors..purple..red
(Bonks self on head for wanting to spend that kind of money..but it would be so worth it

Honestly, A Cuprit in grey skin would be awfully tempting to me...
I adore Cuprit, and I think she'd be beautiful in grey skin, but i'd be tempted to make her "colour" of sorts, pink, which wouldn't look right with her hooves.
I love cuprit, it's just her hooves that give her a slight restriction on colour i think...
so if grey skin was available, I personally would be tempted for Coquina body...

I'd swoon over a Beryl head. Just sayin'. She seems like she'd be so stunning in one of their tan shades.

 

For a teenie event, I would pick either a Beyla in tan skin, or Beyla head + Glot hooves ^_^

 

I sold my Skoll to Buff, but she's also a friend so I can see him almost any time I want. (Hour and a half drive!) So if they do re-release them, I want the pups for my Chrom!

 

The Onocentaur is up with pics and prices. Looks like he was a little more inexpensive at the convention.

 

Why must Smokey be so friggin cute?! And his backstory is so sweet too. If I had the money and the place for him, I'd get him in a heartbeat!

 

Do you think they'll release him in human version? I'm not loving the donkey legs....

 

Smokey really is utterly darling. I don't collect that size, and even I was sorely tempted. They were just SO CUTE.

 

I love his little face! But he goes off sale too quickly. I might not have money for him. And I like the donkey part but I'd like to make him human too.

 

I can actually understand you in this, that is why I said "many people" when I was talking about these two, contrary to my own wishes for Amber, Breccia and Cuprit (and the rest of your list that is great in my opinion too). Vesuvia and Beryl heads look too "femme fatale" for me, though very beautiful. Soom will probably choose the dolls for the possible girl doll event depending on overall popularity though... That would be kind of cool if they took into consideration the lists we make ^^

 

I hope they will release Smokey as a human version too... I don't really need the donkey parts :\
They released Aloa and Sov as humans too, maybie Smokey too, that would be great

 

If Soom do run a SG girl event I'm going to be so doomed.

I want Beryl/Topaz/Onyx/Amphibel heads and Beryl/Topaz/Breccia/Coquina/ bodies...

I'd probably get something like:
WS Beryl on a Topaz body
WS Topaz on a Beryl body
WS Onyx on a Breccia body
WS Amphibel on a Coquina body

(As much as I love varied colours, Soom's girls just always look so stunning in WS - I might consider Amphibel/Coquina in NS or a complete Topaz in Bronze, though)

For a Teenie event, all I'd want is GS to be an option:
GS Yrie (on a Bygg body)
GS Glot (on a Glot body)
GS Hati (on a Hati body)
GS Aloa (on a Keny body)

I have a ton of tiny grey demon characters to shell, and Soom's TGs would just be so perfect for them!

You know, I really hope Soom make this an annual event, in lieu of their old Post MD event. They could offer different skin tone combinations (for example, do another male event with WS and GS as the skin tone options), and different head/body combinations (for example, do another male doll event with Sphaler's head, Bix's body, some of next year's dolls, and some repeats from this year's event). The possibilities (especially when rotating between male-female-teenie) are practically endless!

 

Oh sharnofshade that would be fantastic if they made this an annual event! I would love them to do another male doll event with GS and WS and with the Bix body as an option... I want that crab claw ^^

But I have to say, this event they have now makes me very happy already ^^

Also, I can imagine they make a human Smokey soon. And if I wasn't broke already because of the Free Choice Event, I would be very tempted by a human version of Smokey - the face is sooo adorable!

 

I want a tan Keny on a white centaur body.

 

Sigh, starting to have second thoughts about ordering any of the mix and match boys. I don't want to be completely broke by the time con season rolls around
