Out of the old MDs everyone seems to want Chrom, Chalco or Sard...

Heliot, anyone?

 

Well, yeah, but where's the emphasis?
"Fuh-NO-luss"?
"FON-uh-luss"?

Saying them in my mind, I think the latter sounds better... But I dunno - what's the general consensus?

I feel like when ever people have to settle they don't love things as much as they would.
I am super excited and can't wait for Monday to roll on in, the waiting room for the mix and match will be huge!

I'm getting Chalco AND heliot they're my All Time favourite soom boys (and my fav fantasy parts are Sard's and Euclase's. Hybrids FTW)

Personnaly I don't notice any emphasis, I just say Fo-no-luss (with a french U because I am french)


HEY 2 dolls I haven't heard of at All: epidos and euclase. Anyone's getting those heads??

 

I want a Euclase hybrid (because that smirk, unf) buuuut at this point I'm not sure I'll be able to afford him, even with layaway (doesn't matter if you can't make the first payment 8/)

 

Nasa: Yeah, I'm in the same situation, but with Io...I really want a Io/Chalco hybrid, but don't think I'll even be able to swing the head right now. (And I keep telling myself "No more big dolls!").

 

I've been pronouncing it "Fon-yuh-luss". Not sure why, just seemed as though the internal U ought to have a Y sound.

And I've been 100% for my Heliard (Heliot head/Sard bod) since day 1! Heliot is my ONLY huge Soom crush. =)=)

Judging from all reports, attending the con was a huge win for Soom: they got attention, made sales, connected with the hobby and drew new people into BJDs. Plus, sounds like everyone had much fun. I thank everyone who reported and posted pix, so much! It has been so great to have reporters on the scene =) and heidi, you are SO LUCKY to have actually helped out in the booth! (Did anyone stand back and get a pic of their whole display, BTW? will go look.) ((==Edit: Katyok, thank you,that's just what i wanted! ==))I'm happy to hear the Soom people are so nice and genuinely interested in us, even if they may think we're a little crazy =).

Now to count down the hours till tomorrow and the Epic Online Order of Awesome.

(But, oh darn darn, I am so in love with Alex, and she's just not possible.)

 

"Fuh-noh-luss" is how I say it. Likely is that different diction and accents make the sound of the named so varied.
I am so excited for Monday! I really want to order them soon, but will have to wait until the final day D:

 

sahoma - Along with an Iorom, I had hoped to get an Epidos head & Sphaler body, but like with Nasa, finances got in the way of those plans. Even with layaway, neither one is going to happen for me unless a miracle occurs.

 

I am going crazy here, can't wait to order my bronze Chrom tomorrow! Aaaagh, it's so exciting!

eheh i'm having doubt only because i already own a white dia-boy and an OE heliot.. but im getting rid of my white dolls because i mostly prefer ns/tan skins, so..

I have asked this before but gotten no answers. How many dolls must you have to be Soomed? Or is it how many your paying off at the moment? Please someone describe the feeling of Soomed?

I know I just want to order because, while I know how much they cost, I have no idea about shipping. So, shipping will either make or break my 3-month layaway decision. If I have to do it in 4, so be it, but I'm worried it'll interfere with my january con plans so 3 is ideal. I'm hoping to know before I go to bed or I will honestly be worried about it all night like a crazy person.

I almost can't believe that, in a manner of hours, I'll be ordering another of my grail dolls. So exciting!

That bronze Heliot photoshop looks amazing - he'll look so exotic and lovely in a darker skintone. But nothing can sway me from Sard's lips and ears

Even though orders open today, I won't be ordering my dolls until around the 21st, because I still have one payment left on my Migma layaway. What's killing me is that I still haven't decided what I actually want to order.

My original plan was NS Sard and Bronze Helioclase. Then Alex came along and dashed those plans, and the new plan became NS Sard, Bronze Heliot head and an Alex head.

Now I'm toying with the idea of an NS Sard, a Bronze Heliard, and an Alex head. I just don't like the idea of a Bronze head with no body (it's not like he can share with any of my other dolls, and who knows when Soom will release a Bronze boy or a Bronze body SO), and the concept of a unicorn head on an eagle body just always struck me as... not that harmonious-looking, somehow. I'm loathe to have doubles of any fantasy parts, but Sard's hooves have always been some of my favourites, and a unicorn head + cloven hooves ==

Fortunately (or unfortunately!) for me, I could only afford two dolls and a head if Soom allows me a 6-month layaway, so I'm anxiously watching their Q&A board to see what their answer is going to be regarding that possibility.

If worst comes to worst, I might end up dropping my idea of getting Alex, and just get myself a Bronze Heliot+SOMETHING. The 'SOMETHING' still being yet-to-be-decided, obviously. Stupid gorgeous Soom sculpts!

Those pictures are just gorgeous, I'm swooning over all the bronze goodness! Have to say, I'm very happy with my choice of bronze Chrom but Heliot looks amazing in tan, so much better than in white (in my PO.)

I know they said they will still set up a five payment plan for you if you ask them on Q&A and the order is over $1000, but I didn't ask about six. Victoria also mentioned to keep the SG/MG dolls to two per order if possible, since they can't really ship more than that at one time, because of the EMS shipping. (I'm not sure if it was weight or package dimensions, but she said that packages above that size are often damaged so they now send a maximum of two large dolls at once.)

 

Haha... everyone's waiting anxiously for the event ordering period to finally open, I see.

This is what I started doing late last year, getting rid of all the CW/BW/WS dolls I owned for the exact same reason. It just stopped appealing to me and I knew that I wouldn't do anything but let them sit in their boxes. As for that modified picture of your Heliot... oh goodness, why did I click it? So gorgeous.
