Simply Divine Discussion - Part 2

Hi,

You will love the simply divine sculpts. I have the Harlequin and due to the size you need wide enough shoulders on a body for him to look right.....also may I throw out there that if you get the lighter resin it will be easier to match from what all I have seen in this thread.

 

@Frug101, it depends on the look you want for your Harle and/or your pocket book. He looks great on the DT18 yes, the Akagi Doll body, the Resin Soul Yi, Sugarable Genie body, but not the Iplehouse bodies. You'll need at least 15cm at the shoulders and enough bulk for a Harle head to balance on. For the other smaller heads, you have more options with smaller bodies. I do believe there is a database thread for bodies out there..? For a Harle, I think the Dollshe bodies would be too slender. It's a large head.

Repainted my Thomas. For some reason I keep making him look more pensive than I want. x_x I can paint a face, but it's not always the exact face I want. That's like the face-up level I am at.

 

I have only just discovered these gorgeous dolls recently, someone was lovely enough to recommend Simply Divine Richard to me when I was looking for a sculpt for my Inquisitor Lavellan (Dragon Age: Inquisition video game) and he's just perfect for that character . I have rarely seen dolls sculpted so uniquely yet beautifully and with such attention to detail. I ordered Richard in March and I can't wait to get him!

 

I think he looks amazing! I have a hard time capturing exactly what i want too and sometimes the dolls have their own ideas. *L* But he looks really fantastic!

My female character Harlequin head I bought a new one because the Bone white was too yellow to her new body, so now she's freshly lunar white!

Simply Divines are awesome! My Richard changed his characters from female to male - and he is very good in each of them!

 

She's on the F65. The size and color match are pretty good (now if only she'd sit...) Didn't you have your H on an Idealian body?

@Girrl thanx! No, he played Kylo Amidala just for one photoshoot, and now he has a new character (based on the Kylo Ren image too)

 

And both of you have inspired me to make a female Harle! Very much a WIP, but I am motivated!

 

I got my Richard head like a month ago and I haven't been able to really find a body I like for him that is easily available (ex: no year long wait time or discontinued body) I haven't been able to do a faceup either because I'm sure I will have to blush the head to match the body lol

 

@Nefla How doll he will be? I tried my Richard on Soom supergem body, but count it too small... and I widened his neck to be suitable on Dollshe bodies:

I was thinking around 70cm and skinny. I admit that Dollshe is my favorite(and that's without even seeing the head on that body) but not readily available . Your boy is fracking gorgeous!

 

@Nefla Ah... I wouldn't say I have skinny bodies - except Rhythmos or discontinued DollChateau...

Doll chateau and dollshe rythmos are too stylized for my taste, I just mean skinny by western standards so like dollshe pure body or old hound body, dollmore body, certain ringdoll body, etc...I'm waiting on a temporary body for him which is an ugly body that I don't like but I was planning to re sculpt it with a dremel but it seems to have gotten lost in the mail. This is the first time I've had a floating head and I feel really antsy to give him a body lol

So I am new on this thread and was wondering if anyone has any pics of their heads on a Dollshe body? Dollshe is having a big sale right now and I wanted to get a body for a head I want of theirs. How is the resin match? Thanks! Preferably not the white.

 

The first body I ordered for him got lost in the mail so I ordered him an Aprilstory body which is more muscular than I like but it might be ok, we'll see! I started modding some dragon age elf ears on him

 

@Loodles their neck is so thin to be put on the Dollshe body without a mod... I modded my Richard head, he now fits. I have Rhythmos body only, and he looks... skinny!

@Loodles no, it's Demiurge Dolls body, he's masculine and have same size as Iple EID, Soom ID72, etc. Demiurge's neck is same as Dollshe neck. I'll make a photo in a couple days and will post here^^

Wow! That pic was... wow! *LOL* I've only seen one SiDi head look good on a very thin body and that's Loptr's special guy. A Harle head on a DC body! It worked for him but even his wasn't that... that... interesting. And I think that's even a smaller head than a Harle! Good reference to have, thanks Rook_Sever!

I got my boy's body yesterday and luckily the resin is a great match and the proportions are really nice IMO and airbrushed his ears to match his head today woo!

Planning an epic round of face-up wipes/redos at some point in the next couple of weeks weather permitting... Horribly tempted to temporarily redo my Thomas as Maxwell Demon/Brian Slade, but I'm more than a little worried that the look will stick!

I recently emailed simply divine asking if I could get a pic of the west nile christopher head on a lady supergem body but I haven't heard back yet. Either way I'll probably be ordering the head sometime in the next two weeks, until then I've been lurking this thread letting all you guys gorgeous dolls sustain me

The proportions look great to me and the neck fits sooo good, I already have the eyes and fantasy parts assembled for this hybrid so if all goes according to plan I'll have this head ordered by next thursday!

I'm so glad this hybrid looks so good, I wasn't sure what I was going to do with the extremely yellowed old supergem body I got off the market place here. It's like a very noticeable almost nicotine color yellow and I knew a human head would look so strange on it unless it was yellowed to the extreme as well.

With the west nile christopher head color matching will be much less important due to it being a totally non human head to begin with

 

Hey everyone! A few days ago I became an owner of a Harlequin head, and he's definitely one of my more beautiful sculpts - he's just soooo pretty OuO Now I'm looking for a body for him and saw that Akagidoll supposedly would be a good match. It would fit this character as well, seeing how it's more slim and rank than the Dollstown. But so far I've only seen one Harlequin head on an Akagidoll body - does anyone here have one to show?

Also, here's my little nerd (on a Resinsoul 70cm body that belonged to the former sculpt that was this character)
